Cheched cache this morning - its gone. It's been muggled a few times, so I've decided to come back as a new, reborn cache close by to a more secure and hopefully permanent location. I'll see you soon.
On the way to Mt Disappointment for a driving lesson (or two) and thought I'd clean up a few in Wallan on the way. This was my first attempt, but sadly not successful, and as usual with a DNF, took up way more of my time than I would have liked.
There were many muggles around, particularly the kids at their tennis lessons. Fortunately, after approaching carefully and observing that the kids and their coaches were too engrossed in what they were there for to realise I was even there and I could use the bridge as cover to have a proper look.
I would have hunted longer, but in reading the previous logs I noted the comment that the cache might be vulnerable, so figured it might not be there and hunting longer wouldn't be particularly helpful.
I'll have to come back on a quieter day to try again.
Thanks for the hunt Boomajarril

Found by Team Ladava on a rare day out caching.
We were very impressed with this wonderful recreational area that has been developed in Wallan
With the aid of the hint I searched unsuccessfully for the prize in a limited range of locations without success when the better half of Team Ladava who remained on the path said “there it is” with the container, lid and log sheet lying in the edge of the water in the drain.
We dried it out as best we could and placed it in the only place that fitted the clue but it really is quite vulnerable. Perhaps a coat of matt paint and placed at the other end of the bridge behind the stonework may be more secure.

Our thanks to Team Boomajarril for the cache and bringing us to this location.

Sorry for the late log. Found with carkisser when we headed out for a cache for a souvenir TFTC
Busy renovating in Wandong, but it's souvenir day. A quick trip to Wallan rectified our problem. Quick easy find. TFTC

Heading Dissa Way! not Datta Way!
We were very impressed with all the facilities in Wallan, would have liked to explore the playground more closely! Just enough time to log the cache on the way to the Mt Dissa CITO.
Thanks Team Boomajarril for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

On my way up to Mt Disappointment and decided to do a few around Wallan early before all the muggles come out to play
Been to the market here many times not realising that there is a cache here
Got to GZ tried on one side first then the other and soon had the cache in hand
Signed the log replaced and departed with nobody around

We had an unsuccessful search for this cache late last year. We noticed that maintenance had been completed on the cache recently. So, we returned today for another attempt. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. Unfortunately the logbook was quite damp and very difficult to sign. Looks like further maintenance is needed to make the container waterproof. Thanks Team_Boomajarril for the cache.
A nice early morning and up for the market. We were a little worried that there would be too many muggles about. Helps having geokids as they go less noticed than adults fumbling about. Cache container has seen better days but still dry. Lovely spot and very cool and fun market that runs every month.

This seemed a pleasant park and a short stroll got us to an obvious location but a not so comfortable search. With a bit of scrambling the cache was in hand at 11:40. Just in time for a coffee break. TFTC
Nice quick find with a bit of a tense moment with some muggles crossing the bridge!
I was out and about with Biggles Bear for our monthly caching expedition. We headed for the ever expanding Mt Disappointment Driving Lession Series and had a goal of a maximum of 78 caches to find. We left 5 at the end for a bit of variety, this being the penultimate. Another nice and quick find.
My thanks to Team Boomajarril for the cache.

catching up with my old logs i found this one with GooseandEgg after stopping off on the way back to the airport on the last day of our mini break in melb to find a few caches, we searched for this one and in no time at all we were adding our names to the log.
thanks for the cache.
My caching buddy Goose of GooseandEgg had been badgering me to do a trip to Melbourne for awhile now to just do a caching weekend. Well one Friday afternoon I caved in and we started our plans for weekend caching on the mainland.
With so many caches to choose from we spent a fare bit of time coming up with a shortlist, in the end it was a mix of old caches, puzzles and a bit of a numbers run.
Well all our plans went out the window while we were over for our weekend but due to good caching friends we had a great time doing our plan B.
It was a great weekend and my thanks goes out to all the CO's who have placed the caches we searched for, Goose for talking me into it and our other halves for putting up with our madness.

This is another one of those cache locations my kids would have enjoyed. They love the whole troll thing and would have made up a game here. For two middle-aged blokes, it was simply a matter of a park and grab- ok, with a few steps added to that, but we got the car very close! We noticed one more in town so we have to check it out before continuing south. TFTC Team Boomajarril
Heading home through Wallen and took the opportunity to grab this cache. The courts were full but this is where the younger UTurned comes into his own. Nothing suspicious about a kid and a bridge. Tftc

Found by Team Ninja 6/2/16. I made a quick stop in Wallan on a rather gloomy afternoon and managed to find two of the local caches. The weather played to my advantage as there were no muggles in the area. There was a bit of water in the creek but it didn't stop me from making the find. Great spot for a cache. TFTC!
We found ourselves a nice shady parking place, but discovered a couple of muggles enjoying their lunch close to GZ. We wandered across the busy highway and had some lunch ourselves, and when we came back the coast was clear. SL at 1.09pm TNLN #4379 TFTC Team Boomajarril
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]
A travel day today as we head from Ballarat to Seymour.
We picked up this cache on our way out there
Wish I had time to play under the water

With the Friday off work, we asked the kids what they wanted to do. Water Park was the response. So after lunch and visit to the rellies, we headed off to Wallan (which is a bit of a drive for us - but at least the car is nice and cool!) as we had heard there was a new playground there with a water park - Hadfield Park.
We parked here and Mrs Plow said there is a cache here! So of course we had to go and sign the log.
It's a great park for the kids - re can highly recommend it.
They liked it so much that we stayed here for over 3hours! They really do make great parks these days - the best we got in our day was a slide and a swing!
Thanks Team Boomajarril for placing this one here and letting us get a smiley on a non caching day!

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to Team Boomajarril** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.
I enjoyed finding this one at 7:04:26 PM with Jackson Lightning and geo-family. It was a quiet evening while we waited for our take-away dinner order to be prepared after a 6 hour drive from East Gippsland. An easy retrieve by Jackson Lightning, and he swapped a tradable too.

Suscoe decided to make a day out of it by heading north along the "Hume"
The forecast was for about 27 degrees as the maximum and the BoM was spot on today.
The mornign started out mild with a few scattered clouds but the cleared as the day emerged and a glorious sky bathed us in sunshine for almost all the day.
The hats were a needed thing today as we visited a number of caches in the area from Kalkallo up to Broadford and return.
We enjoyed our day out and had a terrific day finding caches as we went in some country that we have not visited before.
A quick find and sign.
We enjoyed watching the police conduct random breath tests in the pull out nearby.
Thanks to Team Boomajarril for this hide.
Great facilities for kids and grown ups here.

Nearing the end of a big day of caching with Sir-J-Oz. We set off at 6am and picked up a chunk of the Dad's Mount Disappointment Driving Lesson series. It was early evening by the time we came down from the mountain to grab some food at a pub in Wallan and a count of our activities indicated we were sitting on 196 finds for the day. Well that wouldn't do and 4 more caches were planned to round up that number. This was the first and no problems as the channel was nice and dry. We chose a side each and I got lucky and mode the find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Team Boomajarril.

Find #2918. Found @19:26 with Annoying Tarbit.
AT contacted me earlier in the month with a plan to make a day of the Mt. Disappointment series (and some random others), and this was the day that I had available.
Find 197 of the day. After a stop for dinner (and purchasing some batteries for my erg-less GPSr) we grabbed a few local Wallan caches to round out or 200. This was the closest to our dinner location, so we stopped for a quick grab, that Annoying Tarbit made.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log, and visited some trackables.

Checked cache while in town - DNF. It probably got muggled as the rock covering it was displaced and no cache was there. I'll replace it soon. You'll have to look for two others I've got hidden close by till then.

The geo vehicle car was packed with a few goodies and the alarm was set for before the rooster would have even thought about his call. The weather didn't look good but I was off to do some driving lessons and other caches for the day.
After a successful trip in and around Mt. Disappointment and a FTF trip out to Merton I was on the way back zig zagging my way home.
I stopped for this one after waiting for the police to wave us through after the town had lost power and the traffic lights were out. I had an idea where this one would be but after searching all corners I cam up empty. Then I spotted it on the ground and opened. I collect the things I could, log still ok, signed and replaced nicely tucked away where the GPSr had me.
