As the sun went down this afternoon, I realised that I had been so busy with family lunches, finding trigs and doing cache maintenance that I had not found my daily. #KeepTheStreakAlive. This was a perfect hide on my way into town. I had read recent logs so took a log replacement with me. There's now a fresh log. TFTC Botmun.
Found .... easy find but hard to get to.

Spotted quickly, but I found the cache tricky to open. Log is soaked. I wrote GW, but the ink will likely bleed out with the wet log. TFTC B0tmun.

Out with Darkside Dan making a few finds around Goulburn after the local GC event. Thanks B0tmun
Another soggy log. Cache was found on the ground and the fishing line was still in the tree so after signing what we could, I clipped the fishing line into the cache lid - hopefully it holds. TFTC
Found this in early afternoon and could really feel the temperature drop when out of the sun. Glorious day to geocache but geocache found on ground at GZ. TFTC.
Found while on a trip away with tmann421, heading to the MEGA in Canberra

This cache was my biggest mistake of the day - but no reflection on the cache. I'm not nearly 100% at present and the short walk took its toll.
The cache was found readily, but I'm glad it wasn't a leaf-litter hide as the discarded bags of dog poo and people's misplaced undies around gz would certainly have 'de-turd' me from looking. Really, do people have no shame?!

A successful day was spent outdoors with the familiar gang. The plan was to clear out Goulburn once again. We practically achieved our goal, by finding 40 caches in 10 hours, with about 7 DNF's. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for maintaining the caches that we found today.
After tackling caches on the Northern extremities of Goulburn, we made our way over to the Western outskirts of town. DNF avenged! This time I found more than just fishing line! Cheers.

We woke to a coo morning with quite a bit of fog about, but it soon cleared to a lovely autumn day just perfect for caching.
We set off on a loop in one part of town that had a variety of cache types. There were a few different types of hides and not many muggles in the areas we visited.
Goulburn is a much older town than where we live, so we enjoyed the older buildings and some of the history the place presents.

While staying at Goulburn we explored the area and made an easy find at GZ.

Good to tick this one off today after a previous DNF. Seems like a nice stretch of the river along here. TFTC!
AngelG27 suggested a geocaching day in Goulburn and it didn't disappoint... the weather was good, the caches were great and the company fantastic. We talked, we laughed and we cleaned up a lot of caches... I found twenty one. All-in-all an excellent day
This was my ninth for the day. It was only a little beyond the path and, thank goodness, not near the spiky shrubs. Interesting camo. Thanks

A quick find by hubby here. Was unattached from its fishing line so reattached it. Enjoying caching in Goulburn today. We've been sitting out the wet weather in Gunning which we decided would be more preferable to driving in the awful conditions. It’s a bit dryer today so thought we’d pop out and see what we can find before the next deluge hits We’re on a slow trip home from the Alexandra Mega, caching where we can. TFTC
Spotted the attachment device before the cache on the ground, tried to reattach and secure back where it may have lived.
Log soaked and pretty much unsignable. Cache is also no longer hanging. Will need to be replaced
After finding the cache across the river I decided I had some time left to quickly grab this one. I must of been here after the tassies as the cache was perched in a fork of the tree. Still confused me though because I was expecting something that was hanging.
Log was soaked but I still managed to get my name on it.

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.
We have been working on the Canberra Mapping Challenge (GC5KB4J) for some time, taking the opportunity of reducing the number of suburbs still required every time we come through Canberra. So the first part of today was spent trying to meet the requirements for another six suburbs. We then found some caches in other areas before heading off to Goulburn for the GIFF Event this evening.
We arrived in Goulburn early and had some time to look for some other caches - this was one of three that we found. Despite reasonably accurate coordinates it took a little while to locate this cache. After a few minutes we found the fishing line hanging in a tree but there wasn't anything attached. We checked the ground nearby and found the cache which had obviously come detached from the fishing line. Apart from this aspect, the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks B0tmum for the cache.
***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 158 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 89.7. Progress is being made but there is still a long way before we achieve our goal.*****

Ok I found what could have been what the cache was hanging from , no cache attached
Another Goulburn blitz today! Managed 15 finds, with 2 DNF's.
Second DNF today. As per the previous finder, I located a loop of fishing line, but nothing was attached to it. I had a bit of search on the ground, in case it has dropped - however I couldn't find anything resembling a cache.
Might need a check

Goulburn Day 2.
We have set up camp at the VC rest stop. Caching with Liz and Bruce again today.
Today we were more in the town area. Walked the Woodlands while it was not too hot.
We had a nice tiki tour of the town on our caching tour.

We are heading to South Australia before heading to the event in Alice Springs. Today we teamed up with Di and Bill from the team DiMorgan and traversed many of the streets of this lovely town to find caches. This was one we were able to find. Thanks to B0tmun for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Second day of caching in the Goulburn/Crookwell area. The weather is perfect, nice and clear and low twenties, all you can wish for caching. Again a lot of nice caches and a few I missed yesterday, all finished at the event at the historic waterworks. Then rushing back to the Illawarra to make the home event there!
Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out the caches, keep up the good work and nice to have met a few of you last night.

Found with Aykayem and Darkside Dan while attending the Goulburn Invasion - A Rally By The River. Not too prickly (for me anyway, The Ridgeo-pup might say different, if she was allowed to log). Some muggles came around the corner so I pointed at a random nearby tree and DSD photographed it as if we were twitching or something [:o)][:o)]. Thanks for the cache, B0tmun.

Find #17 of 3659 at 11:45:00 AM on my Goulburn Invasion day out with mtrax - not my biggest one day total, but it was close, and seeing that I only found 68 caches in total for the whole of 2016 it is pretty impressive given my recent form!

Last run before the big trip down south to the Surf Coast Mega event. There are a lot of new geocaches in Goulburn since the last time I cached up this way; and it wasn't that long ago. The gusty winds of the last few days had not abated and it was not warm.
A scratchy location.
