Out for a wander in some never before visited areas. Enjoying the new places we are discovering. Signed CS43 & SCAHPA to save room on the log - TFTC
I spent the morning with Willis007 caching in the Mt Petrie bushland. With still plenty of time to spare, I decided to return to this bushland area and find the caches that I missed last time, more than two years ago. Back then, I had limited time, so didnt get to the three caches in this area. I parked on Alperton Road and headed to these caches via one of the Creepy Rabbit series that I hadnt signed last time.I looked around one tree, then another, but then returned to the first where I found the cache when looking from the right angle. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
I haven't done these in order....& missed finding a few...Oh well...T4TC:-)
A bit of a breeze picked up which was nice and another smiley to add to the collection.Tftc
Thankyou for placing the cache. It is nice to walk these paths again. Found easily after first searching the nearby metal object.
Walked around in circles for too long at too many trees. I should have put more effort into the first tree I came to. Thank you for putting these caches here and giving me a reason to choose here for my walk today.
Second time doing this series. Kids are older now and better at finding things than us oldies. TFTC The Domjahn's
Headed out on foot for a few caches today.
Decided to hit a few around Burbank by doing the Creepy Rabbit series.

Heading over to the Koala area for an event this morning. A nice pedal on the ebike from home. Decided to take a sneaky run through here to save a bit of road riding.
A nice quick find thanks.
A nice quick find thanks.
Late this afternoon, a plan to head farther afield wasn't viable, so instead, I met up with oz_bean_counter for a little bit of rabbit hunting. It's been years since I last found any, and I do have some left. After some navigational confusion, I lead us to a good parking area and we headed through a gate and down the bush track. More walking, just what I need after a huge morning of ocean clean-up! But also, best we keep moving as we're burning daylight.
After heading south, we took a wrong turn and aimed for the geocache at the tank. But a horse, owner and child were hanging out there. Onwards we walk. It seems horses in these parts aren't uncommon, and this was a lovely horse.
We were out of sight of those three by the time we arrived at this geocache. Some log-stalking meant we triangulated and made a super quick find. A micro in the bush! I did notice even Mr. TMRabbit himself hasn't yet been here. But we have - names were signed in the logbook and we motored on to a few more icons a little farther along. Thanks for this geocache, genyo

After avenging a DNF at What’s up doc I thought I’d take a stroll this way... this was a quick find after reading StopTheWorld’s log... tftc...
Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with Mansfield parkrun followed by a nearby breakfast. With a recent solo visit to Mount Gravatt lookout, we finished out the morning to see the views from there before proceeding home.
In the afternoon, we headed out to Westfield Garden City, and I then headed east to Rochedale followed by Burbank bushland to walk around the Rabbit / Creepy Rabbit series.
I spotted this cluster of "Rabbit" series earlier today, and thought it would make a good adventure and jog around. I followed the geocaches' instructions to park on Alperton Road (I ended up accessing the area near the corner of Leacroft Road), and all up, I managed to complete the series cluster in just under two hours. My only problem was leaving my walking/jogging until arriving at about 17:00 hr, and so it started to get quite dark by the end of my visit. I had brought with me limited supplies, which meant I was relying on my mobile phone's torch towards the end, and managed to just get me back to the car with finding the caches with 1% battery left! Otherwise, it was a really nice area to visit with the creek/water, and a few wallabies spotted hopping in the forest. Unfortunately, with water comes mosquitoes and cane toads, and so a few of those were spotted. The caches were largely quite creative, and all up, a recommended area to visit!
I continued my jog through the area, stopping off at this geocache. This took a bit to find, and I was surprised to see the cache still balancing in the tree fork, wedged in. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. As previously mentioned, this cache probably needs a CO visit soon to reinstate in its rightful hiding place. Thanks genyo for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I was working nearby and this afternoon as soon as I finished work (and on holidays now for more than 6 weeks!), I headed over to this area specifically to find this cache or its neighbour, which were both placed on a date we needed for our stats. This one had me walking around in circles for a bit before I managed to narrow down its location. The tether has broken and it's just sitting in the fork of a tree, but seems safe for now.
Thank you for the cache!

Did these ages ago and forgot to post the drafts. Off to finish the rabbits off after a years break.
Could not enter through gate. Private property locked entry. Tried entering through Simmins place but dead end and more private property.
Sometimes you have to step back and look at the big picture, rather than focusing on tiny details. The original log sheet is full, as reported by others. I signed a new one and added it to the cache.
Micro in the bush!
Thankfully a quick find.
Thanks to handshow for the great new log!

After our nice walk yesterday finding caches nearby my husband and I decided to come back again today. Today we only walked 6km in 2 hours. Only saw 1 person in this track today. Such a beautiful spot. Thankyou for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy . At gz it was my husband who spotted this cache and lucky I have a tall husband as he was able to reach it easy. Thanks for the fun
Found quickly on today's tour around this area.

Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day
Loved this series, a nice range of different types of caches and a surprise at each cache, thanks

Nearly gave up - we’re not big fans of micros. But found it in the end. No swaps hehe. Tftc
This one took a bit of searching. After rethinking what to look I spotted it pretty quickly. Lovely hide.

Kids can do a lot more stuff for me. Quick easy find. Barking up the wrong tree for bit
Sneaky, this one took me a few minutes to spot! I didn’t mind though, lots of wallabies hopping around. It’s so lovely out here and great to see lots of regeneration happening.
Out with the MB to collect some finds to boost my Feb stats this morning.
Was not first to the parking but still early.
Another quick find for me this morning
Thank you for hiding this geocache

Back for another afternoon of wandering around this area to see how many caches I can find before the sun goes down...This was the 2nd...was considering this cache from a different perspective before I turned another way and my eyes caught something....TFTC!
I came with my family on Easter Sunday a couple of years ago to do all the rabbit series caches. But I haven't got around to coming back since these two new ones were published. Although, I do remember once trying to drive to them and finding a locked gate at the end of the road. Assuming that this area can only be accessed from Alperton Rd, I came back today and parked there for a pleasant stroll in. I always love walking in the bush after rain when everything looks fresh and new and sparkly.
After crossing the causeway, past What's Up Doc, a rabbit took off in front of me which I thought was appropriate, even though they are pests. As I approached GZ, a wallaby was grazing on the grass. I thought I might be able to get quite close but she looked up and saw me and took off a little further down the track and then into the bushes where she remained watching me. She was still standing there when I came back past and I'm not sure but I think she had a joey in her pouch. I made a quick find and continued on to the next one. Further down the track, I could see a couple more wallabies grazing.
Thanks for the cache.

We had to walk past a cache to this one because a kindly gent pulled up on a horse right next to where we needed to be. We said hello and thought about patting the horse but moved on. I couldn’t believe we were horse-blocked. Being horse-blocked is just like being cock-blocked ... only bigger.
Upon approach my wife’s phone started dinging with text messages coming through. I suddenly realised I was on my own, again! She was trying to text through a birthday message to a cache-blocking 4ando juvenile and her phone is her life. I hope no one ever texts her when she is driving me to the hospital after a heart attack - I’m a dead man.
Thankfully I spied the cache, just as Mrs Woodyrothwell was back on the phone again. It’s at times like these that I have to grab her britches and guide her along like a blind man. Caching or SMS might seem like a no-brainer to most, but don’t get in between Mrs Woodyrothwell and a text. She will fk you up. tftc

Out for the day collecting some more numbers to try to get my World Turtle souvenir. Apologies for the copy/paste logs, after skiving off my studies to find the caches I really don't have as much time as I'd like for writing logs.
Found! Unfortunately I wasn't able to sign the log but I won't say why

Came down the wrong path so had a bit of a bush bash again. Now we can see the trail we should have been on. Found easily at GZ TFTC
I had a hare that used to scoot across the road near my place when the block next door was a spare block. He was as big as a small dog.
I had been in this area before for a cache or two in the past and soon was heading to GZ.
Arrived to hunt around the area but did not spot it until Geopartner arrived.
Retrieved the log and signed it.
Returned to where we found it.

We took the opportunity with the break in the rainy weather to grab some caches today and enjoy a walk in this lovely bushland. After lunch we parked the car beside the entry gate and headed down the track towards Woody Rabbit. After collecting a heap of rabbits we ventured further to search for more rabbits and surprised a few hares along the way in the long grass. You can see there big ears sticking up out of the grass. Also surprised the odd wallaby. Cache nice and dry and in good condition. TFTC Genyo
We had cleared this area some years ago so you can imagine my surprise when I saw two green marks in my sea of yellow! Finally saw myself with a free time slot to go back into this lovely bushland. With all the recent rain it was very wet underfoot with some of the trails flowing. Definitely approached the cache from the wrong direction and backed out after my beast boots started taking on water. Remembered the earlier find at the back of the park so backtracked and went wide. The way was clear and the cache soon spotted. Second challenge of the day was I awas alone and I am vertically challenged. Found some natural assistance and it was within my grasp. Signed and returned. Thanks for bringing me back out here Genuo. Lovely drizzly day for a bushwalk
Thought we would collect a few caches whilst in the area on the last day of the year. Nice hide and a quick find for us here.

We had a great day collecting caches in the Burbank area today. This was our 29th cache for the day.
Quick easy find after watching an iguana chasing a bird up a tree (we thought it was going away from us sneakily).

After a week of wet, time to hit the bush trails and hunt some rabbits. I joined Fangsoki who had been out for a while already and we jointly tracked down a few here. And this is umm, exactly what we are doing.

A nice easy stroll along the mowed area. No rabbits today, just several wallabies sheltered in the tree line shade, thanks.
Selva Girls and I enjoyed a lovely stroll down the mowed firebreak to this cache. A friend had told her it was not possible to access these newer caches, however we had no trouble and enjoyed our stroll in the sunshine. Tftc genyo
Last time I was in this area, I dint get to find all the caches here as my caching buddy, then, had found these ones and didnt want to go back to them. They have sat on my map, annoying me, ever since. My caching partner today had previously found all the caches in this area, but more had been published since, so she had a few to find too. After finding a nearby cache, stortigirls and I made our way to this one. At GZ, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Back searching for rabbits and yes I've found one, yes I'll have to return to this corner to get the last one that eluded me because of the darkness. TFTC
Another rabbit cache on our walk today. This one was a quick find, and added another smilie as we walked through this beautiful reserve.
