Best Lifestyle Award to Urbangypsy for the longest Sunday lie-in
As honoured as I am and I am truly honoured it has come to my attention that my lie in efforts have been truly beaten by someone else, someone who choose his nice warm duvet until the rain stopped, so sadly, as I rarely win any awards, I pass this prestigious award to......

Best Lifestyle Award to FMZ for the longest Sunday lie-in!
A good turn out this morning despite the wind and rain. Another massive heap of rubbish collected from along the waterway, sad that so many don't care about the beautiful country we live in. Thanks for organising
Why does it insist on persisting down on CITO days? Rain you have two hours to p*** off.
Miss Three and I had a great adventure picking up bottles and cans in the rain this morning - thanks for organising! When we got home, the highlight to tell Mummy about was the shopping trolley someone fished out of the river!
Great turnout, especially in such inclement weather. Great to see cachers I already know & meet some new ones. The amount of rubbish we recovered in such a short time was amazing, and some of it was disgusting. Gorby's coffee wagon was a great sight to behold & plenty of refreshments were supplied also. Overall it was a good experience.
There is something about CITO's that attracts the bad weather and so it is again today but what an awesome turnout anyway. I can't believe the trouble some people go to to dump rubbish. Thanks for organising PB, great excuse to pick up a coupla caches in there area while we were here.
My first CITO Event and all though my other half Mrs NzWasher couldn't join me, I was welcomed to join by a lot of familiar faces and some new ones too. A great experience helping the local area and caching as a group is always fun, look forward to the next one (:
Why is it that every CITO in Auckland it feels the need to rain!! Good turn out despite the weather and we managed to collect quite a bit. Thanks for organising the event.
My first CITO. Thanks to Pazzabella, and her trusty sidekick Geocchi. Thanks also to Gorby & his ever-fabulous mobile cafe; and all the yummy goodies people brought. Great to catch up with everyone
Joined the annual get wet and pick up rubbish event. Great to see such a good turnout, despite the weather.
I guess the weather could have been a lot worse . Managed to make a sweep up both sides of the stream. Thanks for organising.
I forgot about this this morning so I was a bit late (the weather was ok when I got there) and I missed everyone. Undeterred, I went and collected some rubbish from along a bit near a puzzle final of mine. I hope that's ok, in the spirit of CITO. Thanks.
A good turnout despite the weather. Quite surprising we all gathered so much rubbish from what initially looked like quite a clean reserve. Thanks pazzabella for organising .
Great selection of rubbish to greet us on a wet Sunday morning. Fantastic turnout. Thanks Gorby for the coffee cart and everyone for morning tea.
Such an awesome turnout of 2 dozen enthusiastic cachers that managed to clear the area of **160 kgs** of rubbish **despite** disgusting weather.
The special awards are...

*Best Mobile Cafe* to *Gorby* with treats brought by many.

Always enjoy picking up rubbish in the rain, yeah nah!!! However do enjoy seeing a clean park and catching up with other cachers.
Thanks for organizing, especially with the extra involved with the registering and recording for 'Keep NZ Beautiful' week. TFTC
We arrived for our second wet CITO, and joined up with about 24 others to bag as much rubbish as we could. This CITO will be remembered for ALL the bags of smelly dog poo! As well as the big cable dispensing trolley which weighs a tonne!
Prepared this time for another rainy westie-CITO I brought my gumboots along . It was a great turnout and it is always amazing what can be found in those AKLs parks. Thanks for organising and taking care of the rubbish.
Im so glad to see the wet CITO theme continues. Have gumboots and rain jacket, will CITO.
I had arranged with the Event Organiser pazzabella that I'd come along and provide the necessary coffee and hot chocolate for such a dreary, and wet start to a Sunday CITO. Others volunteered the baking which was SO appreciated, then when we all met up, we got busy cleaning up this park.
I filled up nearly 3 bags full just at the base of the carpark by the stream, and I kid you not, I found condoms, 2 bong pipes, and a multitude of alcohol cans, bottles etc. Unbelievable that people are so lazy they can't take their rubbish away with them! Then after some time supernanny came looking for me to say everyone was waiting for the Gorby Coffee-Hot Chocolate mobile to open up! So I skedaddled back with her to get the hot drinks rolling. Then we spent ages yakking with hot drinks, and home baking and great company! Is it raining, who cares!
Nice to be a part of this CITO!

Thanks team for a great effort and for the coffee wagon yummy cakes and great clean up.
Had great time at Pazza's CITO meet up ....Thanks for organising it .....what a great turn out folks !
Can't believe all that stuff was stuffed behind all the bushes !
Have often walked through here, ...and not even realised!

Whoops, nearly forgot to log this. Thanks for organising Pazza, a fantastic turnout and an unbelievable amount of rubbish collected from what looked at first glance to be a reasonably clean park. I'm honoured to accept the mucked in award, though I don't think I would have won had I seen the spider hiding in the rotten carpet that got me so mucky! And of course a visit to Gorby's coffee carfé was the perfect way to finish the morning
Well this was my second CITO event and the second CITO where the weather was less than desirable. However traipsing through all the foliage, up and down the hillside picking up rubbish and hauling up an extremely heavy trolley (while trying to miss a dog's headstone), is all hard work. A well deserved cuppa and sweet treats from the back of Gorby's car. Thanks Ruth for organising this event and great to help clean up this area. 160 plus kgs of rubbish collected by about 24 of us is a great effort. Bring on the next CITO event.
Definitely coming !
Looking forward to meeting other geo cachers whom I have only known as names in log books !
Geo Trio, tregonning , jard1037 The Menzies, Anastriel !
Plus all my "old" geo mates !
Oh ....and picking up rubbish...boots in car already !
Thanks Pazzabella !

Ah well if Gorby's mobile café is going to be open, then I'll be there...for sure!
Thanks Gorby- you are a star. I'm happy to bring chocky biscuits. I'm also going to bring a spade to dig out the odd noxious weed as I wait for our glamorous gumbooted guests. The place has dried out considerably, but who knows what rain Saturday might bring.
My gout has been dealt with, I'm suddenly alive again people and I'm ready for another adventure on Sunday!! Coffee-Mobile will be up and running before and after the event. Look forward to seeing you all then!
Hi Menzies. This CITO area runs along both sides of an unfenced waterway on high tide, so close supervision is advisable, but bring them along because there are plenty of safer areas you can take them, and relax with them
I haven't been to one of these before so I am looking forward to attending my first.
I thought I had already logged my 'will attend' but no! I have now Pazzabella.
Claiming FTL due to insider information lmao. Will put my queen sized old bed in the boot of the car so it can be taken away for free:-) wil be there with boots on and gloves
