Done and dusted - we sorted the rubbish and got it reduced to 3 bags plus (washed) recyclables.
Little late arriving, but soon made up with rubbish collected. Good cacher turn out but area was very wet under foot. Perhaps another cito in summer would be good. Thanks for arranging this event.
Good to catch up with some of the local cachers. The rain held off long enough for the event and just started as I drove home. Thanks for the event
I hope you can log your own event cache!! Thanks to everyone who attended. Luckily the rain held off and we managed to collect a car-boot-load-full of rubbish. It was great to match faces to well-known names.
Seeing that I missed last weekend's CITOs I decided to come here today to do one and also to meet cachers in a different locality. Thanks for organising, yodabeach. I hope you can get rid of the rubbish without too much trouble.
Decided to cache in Whanga today so did this CITO on the way. Nice to meet some new (to me) cachers. It is always great to hear your stories. Thanks yodabeach for organizing. The park looks so much better now.
This was my first ever CITO. Thanks for organising it. Was a good wee turnout, and great to put some faces to names. I was really surprised at how much rubbish we managed to pick up in the hour. Sorry I couldn't convince my juniors to come along....they were put off by the persistant rain occuring at home prior to the event....the persistant rain that didn't even make an appearance at the CITO, thankfully!
Pretty happy with todays haul though - a deserving location even though the park seemed pretty tidy we still managed to clear 5 sacks(?) of rubbish. Cheers for today yodabeach.

Headed over from hamilton today for the CITO and to gain the Souvenir. Even though it wasn't an event in my Region it was great to see a some fimilar faces, and some not so familar to say hi to. It was a good turn out considering the chance of some not to nice weather today, and a fair bit of rubbish was found in a fairly tidy park to start off with. Traded a few caching stories while I wandered around, a very enjoyable CITO, thanks Yodabeach for organising.
Really enjoyed coming down from Auckland to do this CITO and help clean up the bushy areas of the park !
Great to finally meet people like yodabeach, the scoobydoos , vectis, HKCB and KayGeeDee....whom I have only previously known as signatures in log books or cache owners !
Also nice to see Tufty and willbuild again !
First road trip in new cachemobile !
Wasn't too bad leaving at 6 am ! Off to do some newish caches now !
Thanks for the CITO event yodabeach !

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
Rain was falling steadily when I left home. By the time I arrived in Papamoa, the wet weather had lifted, and it held off for most of the day...
We arrived late to this event venue. We could see most of the group on the far side of the lake, and attempted to catch up with them. However, our attention was drawn to the shrubs and swamp area at the park entrance. There were all sorts of plastics and bottles strewn through the reeds, grasses, and bushes. To make matters tricky, we had no idea how solid the swampy ground was beneath our feet, and we didn't have gumboots. We used sticks to rake out what we could. Finally, the CO and others came to our rescue and waded in to pick out the remaining debris. Unfortunately, that swamp area had more rubbish than this CITO would allow us to collect. Perhaps next time...
This park was definitely a worthy candidate for an event, and it was great catching up with many friends and making new acquaintances... Thanks to the CO for organising this CITO.

It was fun, I made some new geo-friends while picking up rubbish. Thanks mum, for organising this awesome CITO.
Sorry yodabeach, we really wanted to be there and support this, but have to work tomorrow and haven't been able to get the roster changed. Hope you get a good turnout and the weather behaves for you!
I had a very pleasant time wandering around and getting to know some local cachers whilst picking up trash. Thanks for setting this up Yoda. TFTC
Very pleased to help out ! Will come down early Sat from Auck and stay at my brother's bach in George St !
Really keen to get the 10 or so new caches which have appeared since my last visit !

We hope at least one of us can attend - unfortunately Mrs nzk is rostered to work at the weekend again but may be able to change.
I haven't done a CITO for years. I should be back from Auckland in time for this so put me down for a place please.
