This took way longer than it should have. Hunted all over. Kimbathelion eventually found it while I got eaten by mozzies.
Omg. What a mission. We were ready to give up as buzzybb was mosquito dinner. So back into the overgrown I went & spotted some corrugated iron so thought that could be the iron maiden. Turns out it wasn't but cache was nearby. Nice & dry. I wonder about the difficulty rating maybe it was 1.5 before the tryffids took over. Thanks for the adventure.
What a lovely picnic spot. As for the cache, access was rather overgrown, nearly a year since the last find. I suspect it will get more difficult to get to but that’s all part of the fun. Cool spot iv driven past many a times but never stopped till now, thanks.
No luck here, also found a big empty bucket but not sure if that used to be the cache or was just rubbish
No luck here today. Found the iron door, and a big 20l bucket with the lid 5m away, but no cache,
YaY I found a cache that’s been a year since last find. Definitely a favourite point if I had one to give-for a nice reserve, water proof off cache and Iron Maiden theme.
Nice hide. I was more like 'over'? =)
I dropped a TB here.

There was a annoying dog here in a nearby property. Wouldnt shut up, but we found the cache

I initially found the cache location and though no that can't be looked around a bit more saw nothing that matched the hint and decided to investigate the first location and sure enough it was right. Thanks for the cache.
I looked in a few places before I saw what had to be the cache. I liked the big container and the big one inside it. TFTC.
Thanks HappyBogan for the scrub clearing! I visited this location in January but had no luck finding the cache... to be fair I hadn't been caching very long so there was definitely an element of inexperience in there too. Today was a different story... found my way to GZ without incident and then I spotted something which turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Dropped off a trackable for the next finder to move on TFTC
I had to take a second look here and again at the Description because I thought this was someone's dumping ground. Found this little fella so now after sunning himself near the river I have to find somewhere big enough to put him next.
Flood waters didn't claim this one again. Have done some scrub clearing. Hint clearly visible again.
Still a lot of growth around cache but I managed to find it. Grabbed a travel bug too
So this hasn't been found for a while so stop in for a look. Man has it got overgrown. Even I couldn't see the iron door. Lol. Relocated door and made and opening for the next finder. Tb still here. Looking for a ride out. I've had Franklin before so hoping someone else can pick him up. Hope the gap I've made makes it easier for the next finder. Will keep an eye on it over coming weeks. Happy hunting.
Nice quick find here today with Billelle.
Shame no kids today to swap with the awesome toys !
Hugest container I've seen for weeks ..

Day five of my break and I’m heading to Rotorua, albeit by a long route. Awoke to another fine day, and with the clocks moving forward one hour overnight, it was a slightly later start than normal. Slightly lighter day cache-wise today, as I am concentrating on quality, rather than quantity and I have the virtual, letterbox and earthcache at the mineral springs in Rotorua as my top priority.
Wandered over to the GZ and the penny dropped as to what the hint was referring to. Swapped trackables, and then was on my way to the next one. TFTC Dropped franklin and Krupp rings pick up wooden toy and blue tag

While passing through while visiting from Australia, as a huge Iron Maiden fan we couldn't resist stopping here, like a powerslave to caching, we set off like a trooper, with no fear of the dark and at the speed of light, we headed in for the find, many tears of a clown were shed as we signed the log, can I play with madness? yes so dropped 2 trackables and retrieved 2 trackables to move on to the empire of the clouds, Thanks for the cache and the fun.
Swung by to see how this was is doing. Fulled it up with new goodies. If you grab something try and do a swap so there is always something there for people to enjoy finding. Thanks. Tb drop. 2 in.
Took a bit of hunting but just as we were wondering if we were playing with madness and if we would still be here at 2 minutes to midnight, like a couple of troopers we found the cache. Piece of mind at last and I won't have infinite dreams of a dnf here. TFTC!!!
Out and about on a well overdue cache run. Took a little while to locate this one TFTC.
Congratulations on your first cache placement, and what a splendid job you have done! It took us quite a lot of hunting in the bushes - but Mr LF managed to find it just as we were at the point of admitting defeat. Thanks very much, and we do appreciate all the work that has gone into setting this up.
Tagged along when the crazy crew 11HPG11 & C&D said we were leaving Hamilton at some ungodly hour, to meet up with HKCB at Opotiki pre-breakfast, for a drive in search of a few lonely, unloved caches. As we wind our way back to the Tron, it doesn't take much for someone to persuade the driver to stop to look for a few drive-by hides ... well, we're so rarely over this way, it would be rude not to Took a while to uncover this well-hidden cache, and then realised why you checked it post-flood - that was a close call! Great themed cache, TFTC
When Cats&Dragons suggested a wee day trip to grab a few caches in this area, I cleared the diary and set the alarm! We set off at 3.30am to get there with plenty of time to find this and a few other caches. We teamed up with Kiwi69 and collected HKCB along the way. Good to get the old HOAC team back together for a crazy mission.
On the drive down we got to see a bit of the damage caused by Cyclone Debbie. A lot of water around!
Called in here on the way back from finding some caches that hadn't been found in a very long time. Thankfully these ones were nice and quick and not too much of a walk.
Took a bit of a hunt to find but once we found it we could see why you checked on it, so close to that flood level! Lucky escape for your cache. Nicely themed as well, very cool.

On this day I was in the company of Kiwis69, 11HPG11. We had dropped HKCB off at Opotiki to make his way back with the family so it was a case of collecting a few as we headed back home bound
We left Hamilton at 3.30am with the principle objectives for the day being H.1. along with Wiukawa Wander, both of which had not been located for a very long time.
We were unsure what to expect here but after a little searching Kiwis69 came up with the goods which meant that we could continue on the homeward journey
Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache.

Swung by to check on this after recent floods. It survived...only just. Lol very close to going under. All is good. And yes it is still here.

Another dot day cache ticked off. Left this one right to the end of the day having been busy with lawn mowing and concreting. Thought we would have takeaways in Te Puke as a treat. That didnt quite pan out as we each had thought that the other had their wallet and unfortunately neither of us did, so it was a late dinner at home.
The cache was finally located with Mr G looking like he had been dragged backwards through a berry bush (almost the case). Great sized cache and found nice and dry. TFTC

Going past and did a check. Still here but seriously overgrown now. If you bend down low you will see the opening and the iron door. Happy hunting
Coming back from a bike ride I thought it was about time I stopped in here to check this maiden out. There were several road work trucks & a muggle selling water melons at the park but I used plenty of stealth & made a quick find.

One of my vague claims to fame is that I roadied for Iron Maiden back in 1981 when Paul DiAnno was still their lead singer so I really liked this cache. Grabbed a geocoin. TFTC.
Up from the other Bay to have Christmas with family. Had some time spear before a bike ride in the afternoon. On my way to find a DNF I had last time I was up. Nice to see a couple of new caches in Te Puke. Took a little while to find, not what I expected, nice hide. Droped TB, and swaped jandle key with soccer ball key ring. Cheers.
Popped in and checked on this one. Cache in good order. Good place to drop tb if your looking to unload.
First drive through Te Puke for ages and good to call in to the Waitangi store for a welcome ice-block. Then armed with refreshments we went off for a wander in this nice park which we have never visited before.
It was one of those caches that was quickly apparent to a Geocacher but others would just wander past and maybe mutter about the Wandering Jew in the area. Clever use of the what was already there and a bumper cache to find,

5.45pm - Slight detour on way home. Had to go to Welcome Bay to install a glass panel then to Pyes Pa for dinner. Great hide of cache with some interesting things in side. SLTFTC
Raining cats and dogs this morning in Waitangi [:o]
I had to be careful not to step in any poodles on me way across the park
One mangy mutt was sniffing around in the park,
it was not a poodle !!
And down the hill,
in the rain,
I spied the Iron Door !!
What demonic menace lay behind that portal ?? [:o]
Should I have worn hearing protection ??
Will a blast of flame erupt out of the Earth ??
All sorts of things were going through me mind as I opened .....
.... Hmmm !!??
Nothing happened [:o]
And behind the door I found a Heavy Plastic cache, YEAH !!!
(Shakes head violently)
Ouch !!
While me head stopped throbbing,
I found the logbook deep inside the large crypt I had uncovered
TFTC.
It's a beauty !!
As for the band ??
Well ...
... pass

Decided to take a different route home from the in-laws for a change, this also gave me the chance to grab a few new caches in this area.
Took a few moments of wandering around before I spotted the Iron. A nicely theme'd cache container, and a good sized one too!! If this is a regualr sized cache I would love to see your large. Thanks for a great cache.

A great first cache - good size - accurate coords - awesome theme. Well done HappyBogan I wish I'd come out this way sooner but it's all good - I look forward to picking up your other hide 'Gone Fishing'. I dropped a TB and picked up 2, cheers and TFTC

We have been past here many times but never stopped so thanks for giving us a reason. Nice big container. Dropped off deadly duck trackable
You have done really well with your first cache and deserve a favorite. A lovely area for a picnic tftc
Nice to see a good size cache, and dry too (a cache in a cache in a cache). Dropped one TB and took 2, thanks for the cache and congrats on your first
Gps took me to a well trodden trail so thought I was on to it but no. After floundering aroind I looked further afield and found another well trodden spot. Another bit of rubbish in an area with a bit of stuff chucked around. Good hide. Thanks for bringing us here.
Out for a few caches today found this one ok..well couldn't miss it really...nice tidy cache full of all sorts of goodies took a TB...nice tranqual spot thanks Happybogan for a great cache
Heading home after completing the nightime multi in the Papamoa Hills...
It was on nightfall when we (the dog and I) arrived. I was a bit apprehensive about a search in the dark, as there wasn't a lot of natural light for guidance. The iPhone gps kept swinging about which was frustrating. In the end, I decided to focus on what I could see and I spotted an odd but obvious patch among the vegetation... This was a good sized find. I was tempted to take one or both TBs in residence, but remembered the pile I have at home. TFTC.

A day off and decided to go for a round trip on a very cold day but at least it isn't raining. Nice spot for a cache and an excellent on as well. TFTC
Not exactly Iron Maiden fans, bit too heavy for us olds, but a very cool cache and great to find one sooooo big. No one around this late on a Sunday afternoon which was just as well. Might have looked a trifle suspicious otherwise, attempting to extract the cache from it's hiding place.
Dropped off two TB's and took two.
Thanks HappyBogan, well done for your first cache, and that cleans up Te Puke again.

So cool to find a good sized container in pristine condition. Thanks HappyBogan, the title made the find pretty painless.
Stopped by here on our way over to Tauranga. Made a nice quick find of a well set up cache I really liked the size of it HappyBogan makes a good change to find a large cache. Dropped of some travel bugs I've had for to long as I haven't found a big enough cache. Took the travel bug that was in there.
FP for a well set up and good size cache.

Wow, what a cool one. Geo-junior was super excited to see the size and the contents! He made a toy swap so was pretty happy. Great hide. Tftc
#580 - Was out this way for family reasons. Had a little bit of time to kill, perfect opportunity to come get this new cache. Nice to find a decent sized container. I took TB & left TB.
Yay I got my 1st FTF! What an amazing cache. Loads of work put into this, there will be some very excited children when they find this one! Left a TB. Well done Happy Bogan! TFTC
You could say I am a bit of an Iron Maiden fan too, so this one appealed to me. I could have written this whole log out of song titles, but [I've already attempted this before down in Christchurch.](https://coord.info/GLG74XZ8)
I had a great day today with three FTF's in Katikati and I thought I might as well head down to this new cache also, so packed the dog in the car and we were off.
Found the location easily while Max had a run around. It was a great surprise finding the large well stocked and well themed container.
I decided to leave the TB in its container, so someone else has a chance of moving it on.
Congrats on placing your first cache. Its a very creative and well thought out cache, so well done.
