On a roadie of the south island up from Invercargill. On the home stretch southward now..West coast caching! Thanks for the fun fill-ins tftp
Visiting the South Island from Ottawa, Canada, and getting some caches along the way. So beautiful! TFTC
Preparing for a holiday in New Zealand, we solved a number of mystery caches near Punakaiki and this was one of them, Driving to Punakaiki from the north, this was the second one we encountered and we stopped to look for it. This also was an easy find.Gracie7 and Mum, thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Its Maintenance Month and today Mum has an afternoon Lions meeting in Westport so we combined this trip with maintenance checks on all of our caches out this way. Needing to get a move on toward Westport now we picked just a few that were on this side on the road. Abit of moisture in the container but the log is fine. All good here. Happy Caching
Quick find on my way home from doing the pororari river trail caches..tftc
Mum was in Westport this weekend helping with the Lion Fun Day and checked this one on the way home. Its all good where it should be. Happy Caching
Having only found a handful of caches so far this year we planned a trip to Westport which then turned into more of a 'Maintenance check' day with a few finds at the end. The gate here had been knocked down and it looks like they could be doing some work here soon so we preemptively moved the cache. Re-geocheck your coordinates for the new ones very nearby. or the hint should get you there aswell. All good here. Happy Caching
Heading back home to Nelson now, tired, but still keen to 'fill in' the time with some more caches.
Well that GZ came along a bit quickly. Good job there was no one following.
All good with the find.

Another fill in solved a few weeks ago and found on our drive north today. TFTC, number 10280 for me.
#10,106. Day 4 of the geocaching road trip. Infoferret and I flew down from Wellington on Wednesday and have spent a couple of nights in Greymouth. But its time to leave now and head to our next lodgings in Westport. We have geotour caches to find, some adventure labs and a lot of solved puzzles on the way. Will pick up any traditional caches if we have time. The weather is still holding out and its another fine, warm, sunny spring day.
Making our way north and stopped for this cache. I spent the past week before heading south trying to solve as many West Coast puzzles as I could. I managed to wrap up the entire "fun with fill-in" series in time for this trip. This was the Red puzzle. No issues with solving or finding this one. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for hiding it here.

One of the many puzzles I solved or had a lot of help over the the lock down, they help pass the time, so it was time to find them. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
Off today from Greymouth back to Christchurch via Westport and the Lewis Pass. Solved these ones over the last week and was glad to collect them today. Weather was a bit showery and so the trees along the trails were a wet and drippy. TFTC.
Another puzzle solved and cache found. Thanks gracie7+ Mum for all the puzzles and caches.
On a mad mission today to complete one Challenge cache and fulfill part 11 of 12 for another. 580km later, missions accomplished.
On my way home up the coast and then, what's this? A solved puzzle pops up as my next closest. I don't remeber solving it. Oh well. It would be rude of me not to stop and find it.

Heading down SH 6 to Greymouth this afternoon. One of New Zealand's great coastal drives. Really good to be here again today after a long absence. I enjoy doing these type of puzzles. No worries finding the cache. TFTC
Today we headed up from Greymouth to see the pancake rocks. I loved Punakeiki and the road up had interesting rock views and beautiful sea views. I solved this puzzle back in Jan 2017 so I was pleased to pick it up today. I never thought I'd get down here. It's a pity I hadn't seen the three others in the series or I'd have solved and collected them too. Quick find but a prickly first step, TFTC
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. Todays plan is to head to Greymouth picking up as many roadside PnGs as we can, with a few more interesting excursions thrown into the mix.
This is our forty-sixth cache of the day, and was the sixth in this series. I had noticed this series of solvable puzzles a couple of weeks before our trip down this way, so spent a couple of nights solving them.
Arriving at GZ I incorrectly assumed the two items mentioned in the hint were the big ones up on the rise, so immediately headed that way. C:geo soon informed me of the error of my ways so following its guidance I soon found the actual two items. As I returned the cache to its location, I dropped my pen and couldn't see where it went. As I had a spare in the geomobile, I left it for te person who finds it.

Today was the day that I was going to head southwards towards Greymouth locating and signing off the roadside caches that I couldn't get with my snail shell on behind. I left the shell back in Westport enjoying the sunshine.
Love number puzzles.
Cheers for the cache.

We stopped here to see if we could do something about the gorse situation mentioned in the last log that has popped up since we placed this cache but when we arrived it wasnt going to be that easy. Its not that hard to just step over it at the moment but we have upper the terrain half a star for the bother. The coordinates were also abit out so we took another reading and have altered the puzzle accordingly. Geochecking the old coordinates will give you the updated ones. All good here. Happy Caching
#18200. Wading through the gorse wasn't a great deal of fun, but I didn't get scratched very much and then (after not finding the cache where I looked) Troodles went to a spot that was easier to get to and made the find. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a most enjoyable drive north from Greymouth on a gorgeous sunny day. We got as far as Crow Bay before turning back as we had left a few caches to do on the return journey.
SW unnecessarily tackled some big gorse to look for this cache. I then read the hint properly and found the cache soon after, in a lot less prickly spot, but looking at the little gorse bushes popping up here, that may not be for long. TFTC.

I'm willing to boldly go places in the name of geocaching, but poking about in painful gorse without gloves, thick pants and boots, etc is more than I can push myself to do. Too bad, as I would've liked to find the whole set! Ah well. Maybe it wasn't in the bushes the way my GPS signal seemed to be suggesting, but I decided to leave this one.
**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
Travelling from Greymouth to Westport today. We have not travelled this route before and are stopping to pick up several caches to mark our journey. A nice view from GZ. Thanks.

Solved before we left home and grabbed the cache on the way north - well guarded by gorse. TFTC
Had this puzzle solved for a while now and it was just waiting on a good time to visit this area. A nice quick find here. tftc
The red goodies have been a lot more popular than the orange ones as there is next to none left in here now. Fun puzzle. TFTC # 13,508
Dancing Queen 25252 and myself are on a 4-weeks-geocaching-tour in New Zealand with additional 4 stopovers. Many thanks for the cache and best regards from two German geocachers.
Easy puzzle, I used to love solving these when younger. Quick find on the way down. Despite being wet and cold I thought we had better claim one of these pre-solved puzzles or two. TFTC G7+mum.
Today was day one of 7 on a trip around the South Island for Jo and I, and the first leg is Blenheim to Hokitika. An early start and on our road trip we targeted caches after St Arnaud. That was the desired plan, but necessitated by the fact it was still dark as we drove through there anyway. After that it was pretty much find anything on our side of the road as we drove west, but as we moved on we set goals to be in certain towns by certain times, so skipped large chunks. The weather changed from light drizzle to full on rain, which also scuppered some plans on targeted caches and left us cold and wet for most of the trip.
But all up a good day.
Jo used to live in these parts, but hasn’t been here for about 16 years; for me it has been about 13 since a trip down here. So we enjoyed the scenery, and the changes, and also the caches so credit and thanks to all the COs for maintaining these.

I had this puzzle pre-solved so called here in the rain on the way north to Westport this afternoon. Found quickly, signed log, TFTC.
A nice and quick solve and find. Cheers.
Today we pottered around Westport, geting some of the nearby caches. Then off to Hokitika for the night. Great weather and a lovely drive.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Another straightforward puzzle, and quick easy find, as we progressed up the coast. TFTC
We came out here on a maintenance run and then hoping we would make it to Westport to find some caches, but due to some ass%0!# pinching alot of our caches on route we never made that far. A red balloon had melted over the swaps inside the container. The log on this one was still okay so we just moved it to a new container. All good to go again. Happy Caching
After a great day with kayaking and walking in Kaiteriteri and watching some fireworks later on, our aim was getting to Punakaiki today. Most of the time mmmmike and me drove next to one of the rivers or the sea, which made the trip even nicer. So, the aim was clear, but we were not in the best shape since it is first of January. That’s why the caches were pretty helpful today to stop once in a while, stretch the legs and get some fresh air or just enjoy the views and the gorgeous landscape from one of the stops.
Thanks for the cache. Good start for the new year.

Another puzzle I'd solved in anticipation of a trip to the coast. Lots of fun. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.
On West Coast travels for a wee family holiday. After staying the night in Greymouth we were now heading for Westport....with a few stops along the way....A fun puzzle solved a while ago....nice to be able to make the find and sign. Cheers!
out with Red Roaming as we tour the world but spending the most time in New Zealand. the weather has been very very wet for the last 2 days and so it continues today. WET, WET. we are on our way to Westport to stay overnight. Logs signed DD & RR or with our full caching names. I had solved lots of puzzle caches before coming to NZ from the UK and this was one of them. I soon had this one in hand. MTFTC and the great puzzle - I love doing these
apologies for the cut and paste logs. rain++++ again!

Found today with Mitchelltwo. As said, the god like mitchelltwo snr, we look to him for leadership and guidance, solved this from france and we picked it up. Tftc
Solved this puzzle during our holidays We found the cache, thanks for the riddle and the cache, greetings from Switzerland.
Using the solved co-ordinates I made this find as we headed up to Westport. Grabbed the resident GC to move on to Marlborough. TFTP and C g7&M.
Out of the motel after a couple of boiled eggs cooked in the kettle, yes really, and got on to the start/end of this track for a few cache finds before we get out of town. A great day is on the cards with warm weather, clear skies and no wind. Perfect. . . . . . . for sandflies. This is day 3 of our visit and time to head back to Blenheim, via Westport and the Buller Gorge. On the way we stopped a couple of times, as we do, and made a few cache finds.
A chance for a trip away for a couple of days as mrs capperz has a couple of days off work, and so do I too so we decided it was to be a first trip across to the West Coast form mrs (her furthest previously had been the Buller swing-bridge). I'd got a few puzzles solved over this way and also wanted to get another cache owner total up into triple figures; this time g7&m have been added to my centenary statistics. A beautiful couple of days away seeing some of the best that the West coast has to offer and we saw some awesome scenery and sights, I even got my Earthcache total into triple figures too.

Same scenario as the last one for us... I had recently solved these puzzles at home in anticipation of our weekend on the coast. For some unknown reason the changed coordinates had not saved onto my phone. I had google earthed the GZ so I had a bit of an idea where it might be - so as we drove along I said to GK - stop and go back I think that looks familiar - sure enough a quick find was made - phew. Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the puzzle
We flew into Invercargill to catch up with the rellies last week. Now its home to Wellington via West Coast with maybe a cache or two to break up the journey. Greymouth to Karamea today.
Another solved by Mrs banian before we left home, quick find at GZ.

Had prepared before my trip to NZ, solved some mysteries and this was one. Actually I solved a couple of the fill-ins as I really liked the concept. But, we were touristing (not just geocaching) so I chosed to log this one this time, hope to come back to this beautiful spot though! Thanks for the ? and greetings from Sweden.

I don't have a chance beating Holymu with these kind of puzzles. This one was no exception. I did drive though and directed from the car at GZ (it was raining ) Thank you gracie7 + Mum
We had been down the Coast for a few days and came home the long way to find a few caches, especially these puzzle ones. These are a favourite type of puzzle for me so housework was put on hold when they were published so I could indulge myself.
By the time we arrived here it was raining quite heavily again so I elected to grab the cache and bring it back to the car to sign.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum.

Did the numbers and found cache on a trip with the local walking group on a day out to walk part of the Point Elizabeth walkway. Had a few extra helpers who were intrigued about the game and keen to find the next one.
