I give up. I no longer have the time for the seemingly constant maintenance that this cache/location requires, so sadly I must archive it. Thanks to all who found it and extra thanks to the reviewers who were patient with me - I appreciate your service to the geocaching community.
Had a couple of goes at this one. Once in my lunch time but far to many smokers and diners at the cafe. Went early today before work and still a smoker and breakfast people. Waited for the smoker to finshed and checked out things but still no joy.
And it's immediately gone. Annoying.
Will give some thought as to whether we reinstate it or archive.

We had some time while waiting for a train so decided to duck up here for a look and hopefully score some unloved, a rarity in the CBD. Im pretty sure I tried to look for this one several months ago but couldnt even begin due to the number of muggles on smoko. The area was clear tonight, we used satellite view to home in on a couple of likely GZ’s but after 10 mins had nothing to show for it. We headed back to our train only to find it was so full we couldn’t even get in the door. So we hopped a tram and went to find another cache instead. TFTH.
It's gone again... Bugger. Will aim to replace by the end of January, if not sooner.
We had no luck with this one today. Regarding the hint and the coordinates, I'm sure we were at the correct location. It took quite a while to search. People seem to take shifts with their breaks to assure someone is always covering GZ. It's pretty obvious where to look, but no trace of the cache.
We searched all the spots where a cache could possibly hide but nothing around. We are pretty sure we looked on the right one thanks to the hint. No luck this time.
In the city for a rare visit today to do Jury Duty - and we got dismissed early! What a great opportunity to grab some caches! I had to dodge smoko muggles and was feeling quite watched here so I only made a quick search - I will be back!
In November 2018 my husband and I traveled to Australia to attend the Parkville Mega Event in Melbourne. It was my first time in Australia, and his first time in Melbourne, and we spend an amazing 10 days that ended way too soon.
After a road trip to explore the surroundings of Melbourne we were back for our final days in the city. When we attempted to find this cache some nearby office workers came out for their smoke break. Normally, muggles are not super interested in my geocaching activity, but this time, one of them stood facing us with square shoulders and phone in hand, watching each and every move. We had to retreat to a nearby coffee shop and wait out their break. When we returned the muggles had disappeared and we quickly grabbed the cache and signed it around the corner before we replaced it like lightning.

My second for the day while my car gets serviced. When I travel, I always look around new cities for buildings like this, that show the history and architecture of the past, instead of which building is the shiniest. However, the second I return to Melbourne, I star to forget to do this. Thanks for opening my eyes up again! And also for a well placed cache, that was easy enough to find from the right angle and on a dreary muggle free morning.
TFTC! Greetings from Hong Kong
Came to GZ at night to keep the no. of muggles to the minimum, to see the beautiful heritage buildings in melbourne is a must do and thanks for helping me to tick it off the list. Container was slightly wet, probably from the shower this afternoon, inside was absolutely dry.

11 days Australia - Melbourne, Adelaide and Gold Coast. What a great experience in late spring, while in Germany at the other end of the world the winter already begins! Everything went incredibly well - the flights, the overnight stays and the local experiences. We were able to prepare several special caches at home and we were able to find an unexpected number of caches right away, and most of them were in very good condition. And all the necessary answers have already been sent. That was a little disgusting here, but we still found a clean access to the cache. Many thanks for this cache!
We had troubles with getting a gps lock here but looked where the hint suggested - except someone had vomited all over what we think gz might have been, discouraging close inspection. Maybe more of a DNS than a DNF? Thanks anyway, ClanMagee. =^.^=
Found with little blue hen after a day with the family in Melbourne. Thankfully she pointed out there was no need to look low and the cache was soon extracted. Tftcsl
It's a good thing that I keep reminding bkj97 to read the cache notes otherwise he would be chasing wold geese constantly. T4TCSL
Just been at the mega event and I was making my way to see Myer windows. Clever hide. Well done and it's a very nice little spot.
Find #1905 for me. Found at 7:25 am in the rain while on a rare work trip to the Melbourne CBD. My team training day didn't start until 9:45 am so I had plenty of time to find some more CBD caches. This was my second stop and there were still lots of muggles around even at this early hour. After reading the hint, it wasn't long before I had my hand on this one. Thanks for the history associated with this location ClanMagee and thanks for the cache!
At last a cache we could find! thanks for making us look at this beautiful old building.

Staying in city tonight, whilst the house is taken over by 22 yo birthday boy.
Found quickly whilst on a walk to the movies.

After arriving in Melbourne yesterday evening to attend a concert (Ill DIvo) I had a bit of time this morning before I had to catch the train back home. I have left a muggle friend at Southern Cross Station and headed off concentrating of a couple of caches that fill a gap in my Find by hidden date calendar.
I obviously arrived at smoko break but once the smokers moved off I quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks ClanMagee

Found quickly. No many muggles in the rain. Thank you for the cache and greetings from the Czech Republic.
We've recently been on a road trip from Hobart to Adelaide, and are now staying the night in Melbourne before heading home on the Spirit of Tasmania tomorrow.
We figured we should probably try and get at least one Melbourne cache while we're here, so when we got a chance, we ventured out to the nearest cache - this one.
We arrived at the GZ, and it was immediately obvious there were a number of possible hiding spots. Fortunately the cache was in the first place we tried, and was in hand within only a few seconds. It was quickly signed and replaced without any muggles the wiser (fortunately, it was evening on a Sunday, so there weren't too many about).
We didn't have enough time to have a good look at the building across the road, unfortunately, but we certainly had a bit of a look while we were completing the formalities. It would be very easy to miss a building like that, tucked away among the concrete jungle, so thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Found on a very sunny day, if you nice and quick the smokers think your one of their own. A great place to admire an amazing piece of architecture. thanks for the cache.
3 DNFs in a month or so, for a cache that used to be found daily... time to place a hold on it and see what's up.
I have to come back for this one looked for it for a long time, anyway Thanks for bringing me here.

Catching up on some late and forgotten logs that I have recently completed with Happy Feet while in town doing a few jobs and also making the most of grabbing a cache or two. We had the gz to ourselves today being wet and windy and we managed to make a reasonably quick find with this hide. Thanks ClanMagee for the cache and for highlighting this grand old building.
Heading into the city with Happy pants, to organise a family get together, for my son who is finally turning 18 this week. It is a bitterly cold, winters’ day with heavy showers of rain falling intermittently during the day which forced us to take breaks while making only a few finds for the day. No DNF's and not so many muggles about in the cold city today, allowed for some easier searching opportunities. We discovered a few great and clever hides. A very successful day, as we will get our souvenir, and great to catch up with my son.
Wandered around admiring some of the building in town. Happy pants made the quick discovery here.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks ClanMagee for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Great building - completely missable from the St.
A valuable lesson to remember to look up!

In Melbourne with a muggle mate, coming back to this one to "show him the ropes". And, Oh Dear it is not where I remembered it was. Past logs put me straight and then we had the find in hand quickly. No problem with muggles, we had something to lean against and chat to cover the retrieval. I think my muggle mate is converted, he signed log as Spiceman80.
Yesterday the site has been occupied by muggles. After visiting an exhibition nearby it has been an easy task.
Thanks you for hiding and maintaining!

Caching buddies: lunch break
At lunch break, quickly ducked out for a bite and cache. My luck that I was surrounded by muggles but had a phone in hand to help with keeping pretences! Signed log and returned cache as found

Had to spend a Saturday afternoon in the city doing a bit of voluntary work, so made the trip a bit more worthwhile with a cache, which I haven't done in the CBD for ages.
A nice easy find this one, made easier by being a quiet part of the city on a Saturday afternoon.

After attending a training session in the city today I went to find a cache to mark off a missing day on my cache calender. This was an easy find and also found a TB that I took with me. TFTC
Heading back to the train station with time to spare so I stopped for a looksee. Quick find thanks to a previously posted photo. TNLN, TFTC ClanMagee
A nice quick find.
Latex down some shopping parcels and used the phone as cover at GZ.
No lunchtime muggles noticed.

Had a good look around but still couldn't find it, was surprised because there was a recent find...
Wandering around town for a few hours. What a lovely building. It would have been tall in its day. A quick find. Plonked backpack at gz and rifled around in it for cover. TFTC
Our first find in Melbourne thanks for the cache nice to see the cool building. Only took us 3 minutes in the fading light TFTC
Found with my muggle friend.
Sort of enjoying these city finds and may use this one as a catalyst for a mission to get out every day.

I’m glad to see that there is a cache nearby where I work today. Nice sneaky hide, especially a lot of muggles around for lunch. Managed to sign the log without any suspect. TFTC.
It’s caches like these that make caching the game it is, showing us something interesting that we would have just passed by in a different life. Thanks for the hide and highlighting the hidden architecture.
Having spent the last 5 weeks attending training in the building right next to this cache I had always put off looking because of the number of muggles but today, being the last day I was determined to find this cache. Such an easy find I realised I should have given it a go 5 weeks ago TFTC
Our expert cache ninja skills weren't needed this evening as all was quiet here. Our compass was playing up with reception so it was handy having the map view to put us in the right spot. TFTC
After farewelling a colleague I joined nanton34 for a brief urban cache hunt. I was at an advantage with this one as nanton34 had made a find before returning to gz with me. tftc
Took a while to find but got it the crack of dawn. Would not have realised this piece of heritage was worth stopping for without a cache. Tftc

Container replaced in new location, not more than 10m from previous GZ. However, GPS reception will now be even worse than before.
Clearly needs a maintenance run. Disabling until I can get to it, hopefully this week. Apologies.
Kept looking at the map on my phone trying to get the right spot and it resulted in no luck. I finally just let the compass guide me to 10 feet and quickly made the find. TFTC
Noce hiding spot. exactly where you think it would be. just make sure you wear shoes with laces...
I decided to spend my last day in Melbourne wandering down narrow lanes in search of geocaching gold...
No narrow lane here, but Muggle Central. Luckily the cache was in the first place I looked and I carted my prize well away fast. It took a while before I was comfortable returning it. That was fine with me, though, as I enjoyed admiring the juxtaposition of the vintage building with its new neighbors. Thanks for showing me.

not too easy to get the right spot right away cause of the jumpy gps but found it quickly and grabbed it in a muggle free millisecond. tftc
found on a beautiful morning after going to the escape room and making it out we thought we would try out luck at some caching. found with no pen sorry
Very busy area, taxi drivers are waiting in the area to pick up clients. Might come back another time.
Nice spot, thanks for showing it.
