Find number 14295 at 11:10:05am on Thursday the 3 October 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks Today we are heading for a side trip up to Geraldton chasing LGA's and a few special caches. We are heading up today and back tomorrow.A quick cache on the way north **Thanks for placing this cache Barnzy12**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Another day , another LGAs. Appreciate these remote caches to help us achieve our goals. Tftc
Heading back home after Xmas on the farm. Planning to stop and hunt my way back. Hoping the 41 degrees wont come to fruition. Taking the inland road this trip. Thanks to the CO’s for placing caches in remote areas for us wonderlusters to enjoy.
Diverted due to Coorow fires I took the longgggg detour. How could I pass by a B12 cache and not stop! Signed and replaced - HNY buddy

Spending a bit of time travelling around WA wheatbelt checking out the wildflowers. Stopped for this one after passing some over width loads. Managaed to make a quick find and turn around but had to pull of the road to let them pass shortly after.

We nearly didn’t stop for this one…. Not really a good spot to pull well off on such a busy highway. Thought there might have been something interesting at GZ but that wasn’t the case. Thanks for the smilie
Heading north to find some sunshine hopefully stopped along the road and made a quick find. Thanks Barnzy12 for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
A trip from Mandurah to Geraldton with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
A quick grab to tick this LGA off.
A quick grab to tick this LGA off.
Left Jurien Bay and headed towards Dalwallinu via Coorow and a few places in between picking up the odd cache along the way. Ended up decided to setup the caravan at Pithara speedway for an overnight stay. Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining caches.
We decided to stop to grab this cache on our way home but, we sort of wished we hadn't bothered with it.
Parking with a caravan in tow, on a road with a sloping gravel shoulder and trucks whizzing past, made it tricky.
Mr ILT slipped on the gravel on the side of the road and fell and badly bruised his knee. But even worse, the GPS took a bad knock and decided that it didn't want to play anymore. Pretty much this cache cost us about $850.
Thanks Barnzy12

Hi there Barnzy12. While on a flash trip to Lake Annean, I found this cache at 03:52PM after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Barnzy12 for this cache - our find 9407 and the 4th of 6 finds for the day.

With a work road trip to Karara, I was able to grab a couple of caches on the way. Having already done this trip before a couple of times, there was only a few to grab.
Another quick one.
Many thanks to Barnzy12 for placing and maintaining Country Cache - Pithara. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Well, we found a cache but it's not a pleasant place for one is it? More rubbish than you could poke a stick at. Thought about collecting the bottles and cans for a 10c each payoff. The cache container is a good one though and is dry. TFTC
Probsty, Sandy and I are heading north. We have come out a bit further east to nab a few new LGAs.

Axell33 made the find on this one! We turned around and pulled up so we were on the same side as the cache. Turn around and on the home run. We started out with the geopups on our adventure for today! Which coincides with day 1 of stage 2 of the Covid 19 plan. Leaving home at 0330h in Baldivis we drove an 820km loop. Our main aim was a maintenance check an Watheroo, taking in sights and scenery of Joondalup, Gingin, Badgingarra National Park, Watheroo National Park, Gunyidi, Dalwallinu, New Norcia, Bindoon back to Baldivis, arriving at 2030h. What a great day! Thanks for the cache and greetings from Baldivis.
Caching our way back home on our 820km round trip we stopped here to chase down your cache. We pulled over with a grain train loading under power just up the road which brought back memories of all the trains I loaded here over the years. So we started towards gz, once there we made a nice quick find and soon had your log book signed and cache returned to its hiding place. TFTC Barnzy12
With restrictions easing a little, we headed out for a bit of a road trip in hope of finding a few caches on our travels... Headed north towards Pithara, completing a loop back to Toodyay A quick find here before heading onto the next one!

I wanted to do this cache today, but alas there was no place to safely pull up with the caravan in tow. I did note that the last person to FIND was the person who replaced the cache that had been not found for 6 months. How can this be a FIND? He put the replacement container there when he couldn't find the original one. Seems that it should have been a Dnf like the ones before it or just a note as I am doing.
Out and about in the Central Wheatbelt area this weekend on a mission to grab some missing LGA's. After 1200 odd K's, 43 finds, a few DNF's and two nights under the stars, it was mission accomplished.
Got the OK to replace this one from the CO, it's not regular any more.
Barnzy12 I found your cache at 11:02am, this was the 6th of 15 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5866.

Well good news Barnzy12. We were going past this gz again as we headed south towards Dowerin. Today the road works were a few hundred mts further down so we took the opportunity to pull over to look. Ammo can is still there however a wide band of trees have been taped for removal - who knows when. Thanks Barnzy12
North bound side of road is being widened considerably. Construction still on site so no access to know if cache ha been dozered in the works. Thanks Barnzy12
pug002 didn't find it as we couldn't get to it due to road works on our spirt on geocaching on our way north. Rained all the way and will stop in Dalwallinu for two nights and do the caches in the area. TFTC anyway hope road works will be finished soon
We headed out to the country to get away from the city and visit family, we took the opportunity to clean up a few on the map around the area. A nice quick find TFTC
A planned road trip to Jurien Bay with a different route than normal, nearly triple the kilometres to grab some smileys. Some great caches, some outstanding caches and unfortunately some just not there. Beautiful scenery right on our doorstep we just need to go and find it and how great is geocaching for that. Tftc
Good Friday sees me heading into the northern wheatbelt to clear out a few caches and cross off another 5 LGAs.
Headed out early and headed for Goomalling for the first stop. Then headed further north.
Love finding an ammo can in the bush. A fave from me.

A quick find on a beautiful spring day.
An odd place to put a cache though.
The last weekend of the holidays and what better way to spend it. Geocaching around the Golden Wheatbelt showcasing some interesting, beautiful and historical places along the way.
This is why we enjoy geocaching.

Took the tough path in to this one - straight through bush and spiderwebs. Found a much easier path out.
Day 4 of our mini road trip which was meant to start in Perenjori but didn't quite make it so stayed last night at Mullewa Pub and enjoyed a lovely meal there too. So today it's Mullewa to Wongan Hills via Xanthippe, Pithara and Ballidu.
Have a few caches on my list so fingers crossed we can manage as many as possible as I'm chasing numbers on this trip
Turns out another warm day in town and I didn't pack my shorts
After having to get off the road in town for two well oversized northbounds heading to Cloud Break it was a quick drive to this cache.
An easy find just off the road
TFTC
All good with cache and replaced as found

Slowly making my way north on my annual migration to follow the sun. This one wasn't here the last time I was through this way, so another smiley for the collection. TNLNSL TFTC Barnzy12
The weather is a bit cooler today so decided to take a run through some of the wheatbelt.
Thought I had lodded the coords wrong here for a while. Nothing of any interest here except a cache.

Found this one by torchlight . A nice sized container here too [^]
I decided to pack the swag and head away for a 24hr road trip and made plans to head up north to grab caches in a few more counties for a challenge that I have my eye on completing . I scoped out a route that would give me 7 more WA counties and also targeted quite a few of the archived caches that are seemingly still in play [^]. I had a fantastic time caching up here and a huge thanks to all the CO's for the effort in placing the caches!
Barnzy12 - jinta29 found your cache Country Cache - Pithara. This is my find #6060 and find #13 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for the time and effort taken to place this cache!

Headed back up to Geraldton for another caching run (third time this year). We started off by picking up as many caches as we could in the wheatbelt on the first day before arriving in Geraldton. The next day we headed up to port Gregory and Kalbarri and the highlight of the day would have to be be the pink lakes in port Gregory. Day 3 saw us caching in Geraldton picking up some we missed last time and clearing up a few of our DNFS here before adding some more DNFS to the list. Day 4 we headed off to mount magnet picking up some caches along the way till we arrived there. I must say the caches in mount magnet were quite tricky to find and it was also a stinking hot day so we didn't get to find all the caches we were hoping to find there. The last day we cached along the coast on the way home. Once again it was stinking hot and we missed doing a lot of the caches we hoped to find plus the flies were driving us crazy but we still got to visit some great places. Most of the caches we looked for we did find and we came across some very sneaky well made cache containers along the way. Thanks to all the CO,s for placing there caches for us and all the other geocachers to find.
Found with girlfromthebush on our way home..Contest of this cache was pretty disappointing considering it is pretty new!! So girlfromthebush and I loaded it up with some swag for future junior geocachers.. TFTH SL
On our way home - what a shame people either haven't followed geocaching rules 101 by leaving something of equal or greater value... or that there was never any there to start with! A perfect sized cache for trinkets! so boyfromthebush and I loaded this baby up with some swag! Hopefully future catchers will do the righty and TCLC!
Signed 21.10.16 during our trip around Australia with our caravan. Enjoyed the areas and happy to get some smilies ... es reception is very limited next to nothing. Tftc
My partner called to tell me that she had just made a purchase over the internet, and the goods were located in Geraldton, so I hatched a route to grab as many country caches as I could along the way.
Another quality B12 country cache.
