Found in a day out with the family exploring a few geocaches in the local area. Had quite an adventure driving down this track but we were lucky enough to be in a 4wd so just took it slowly and came out unscathed.

I attempted to find this cache on Monday without any success. I figured that it would be easy to park at one end of the road and walk in. I discovered I chose the wrong end when I came across a fast flowing and seemingly deep creek! Never mind, it was worth it. I spent some time here listening to the frogs and enjoying the serenity.

Fast forward to today and after a bit of reconnaissance I decided that the other road in was a much better option and it paid off. I knew it would be a park and walk in, so the distance didn’t bother me. When I got there I found out you can no longer drive down the road where GZ is anyway, and the walk in is worth it.

Being an early Sunday morning it was relatively quiet if you ignored the screeches of the cockatoos. Dodging the various puddles, I looked up to see a fox crossing the path in front of me. Within a few seconds it had disappeared. The walk in was beautiful and shady and the trees were interesting to look at. One even looked like a tree person. At GZ I found a well maintained cache in the only logical place it could be. I doubt that out here it would get muggled but stranger things have happened.

On my way back to the geocar I heard voices carrying in the wind and sure enough, there were a couple of muggles walking in a nearby field. Asides from them, I didn’t see anyone else. TFTC

Wow, didn't expect this rutted out back road, certainly not a T1.5 option! Good thing car is little higher off the ground so was able to slowly and carefully make my way along here for a nice easy find at the coordinates.

04-Jun-21
We were heading to Ballarat for the Event and CITO tomorrow, as well as visiting our accountant and wanted to avoid the extensive roadworks between Ballarat and Geelong so turned off at Bannockburn and saw this cache out on a road we haven’t travelled before. This road would seem to be a road very much less travelled, certainly by 2WD vehicular conveyances. We arrived at GZ and quickly found the cache and signed the log. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache 200SARA

Thanks Poppet_93 for the cache.

We abandoned this one last week as we could not drive any further in the “dry weather only “ road, so parked at the previous intersection and walked in.
To our surprise we saw masses of wildflowers.
Attached are our photos.

The tracks around here had some interesting parts with them being somewhat boggy and having some very rutted sections. But it was fun. Some caches were definitely easier to access than others. This was an easy enough cache to find and the log soon had both names added to the list.
Many thanks go to Poppet_93 for this cache placement.

Did a bit of a caching run today with goingplaces2. Found some good caches, had fun driving along some tracks and got some more smilies for the caching map. It was an enjoyable area for caching. Thanks to the CO for this cache.

Find # 7510

After staying at Bunjil Lookout last night n spending along day, with sharkiefan, in the bush around Steiglitz hunting down Cludo and Star Wars themed caches, the odd other in the area and a quick flying run into Geelong for a Virtual and attending the Geelong Annual Christmas Dinner at Lara.
It was time for me to head home.

The drive did take a little longer than it should have as, my parents, Tyred n Cranky have told me about this little group of caches here, and it was a 20odd k detour from thr direct route home.

Being dark and going on a back track made for a great little solo adventure and well worth the detour.
An interesting way to end out a great n memorable day.

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in logging.
Despite my tardiness, you can be assured I enjoyed each and every cache found and not found.
Apologies if this is a generic log, my memory is good, but not that good.

On this day I was out with Sorceysal and Tessie the geodog

Thanks Poppet 93

Out and about with Bogonghazy and geodog Tess for a days caching around the Bannockburn and Inverleigh area.

Always hesitant when I see the sign "dry weather road only". Quite a few pot holes that required some rather interesting driving skills. Thanks for the cache

Find No. 2220. Found at 2.52pm

After spending the Long Weekend down in Anglesea/Torquay area to take Geodog Penny back to the beach, finish off the G2Anglesea trail and grab a few others along the way, we are heading for home.

We left early so that we could grab the nine caches around this circuit. This was the seventh on the list and again another quick find. Log signed, and onto the next one we went. Penny liked this trail as she had lots of running around at each cache find as the road/track wasn't busy.

We enjoyed making our way along the road, with the summer weather meaning it was all good. It turned out to be a quick find in a likely spot. There was a welcome cool breeze drifting across the paddocks today too.

Thanks to Poppet_93 for placing this cache.

This one was frustrating me as I had seen GZ while venturing along this so called roadway at night in winter. Seeing it in the light of day I must've been crazy.
Yeah back to the beginning, it was published days after completing the rest of the series it has been a while until my return.
As Phetlrn has said be very wary of the catalytic converters underneath newer cars and hot exhausts on older one as the grass can brush under the car. Knowing this I took precautions and approched as safley possible and walked the rest. Cache spotted. Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the cache Poppet93

**Smile # *4405* / Traditional # *3348***

The stars aligned after the geo wife decided to spend a night with the geo kiddies and granny's hose so it created some free time for caching. Then I received a messaged from DAB if I was interested in the 12 days of Christmas series. LET's GO! So we teamed up once we were both in town and off we went. We drove out of the town for a few caches on the outskirts. A tough old track to navigate. Thankfully I was in a 4WD and not the sedan. Another quick find on this very dusty road. Stamped and returned as found.

**Thanks for placing this trad Rebel Llama**
