I knew I was getting close to this cache site when I arrived at the break in the bush. I was concerned that I didn't really know what the last word in the hint was but I was saved by the second to last word. Not currently being my normal agile self meant it was a bit tricky for me to get my hands on the container. Another hiker passed by as I was in an awkward position. Pleasantries were exchanged but I wonder what he was thinking as he continued with his journey.

Out for an Easter walk up the Pineapple Track, a but of a hunt at GZ but the cache was soon in hand and we continued on up the hill. A nice place to stop and enjoy the first view for awhile for sure. TFTC

12-Feb-23
The hint item was quite obvious but of course I went the wrong way first but soon spotted the cache. The other way turned out to be much easier! All good here.
Thanks for the cache, KiwiChris

Quick drop by today to pick this up. Kia ora for the cache.

29-Aug-22
Stopped at the GZ on the downhill draw to Booth rd taking in the views but Mt Cargill still had her skirt down. On a wander as the day started to warm up and dry the surfaces after some light rain during the night. The big pot was visible in hide as we dropped down off the path. Whilst the logbook was dry in the inner container, a little bit of moisture was in the cache. Popped in some swag and wiped the seal and lid clean and dry. Pried a nearby rock loose to hide the big cache from view as it should be kept. Just visable at the right angle but far enough away from the footpath not to attract attention. *Labyrinth, new move on board. **15pt** trad **405pt*** Thankyou for leaving this cache here KC.

Easy find, TFTC on a lovely winter day enroute to Swampy

21-Jun-22
Just a short bit of the track today. May be back for the rest tomorrow with a bit more time.

FITW GreenMenace, garp baxter, butter_nz

Wasn't quite sure which one is fuchsia but the cache turned out to be very exposed and easy to find.
Then, onwards and upwards on the Pineapple.

Kia ora! Paldies!
TFTC, KiwiChris!

Found on our way down from a nearby multi

31-May-21
Couple short of my May target, so out despite the weather - quick obliterated any view.

25-Jan-21
A quick easy find as we made our way up the hill. TFTC

01-Nov-20
Wonderful! Took a bit as we started of enjoying the view. Thanks for the cache!

01-Nov-20
Found 2 years ago, finally logging now we've found it again! Found with Malinkalynn and friends including Geodog Jacky, her first cache!

18-May-20
First find for me in 7 weeks 2 days. No caching because of lock down - first day I have been able to visit my grandchildren as well.

TFTC - quick find.

14-May-20
Re enabled because of the move to Level 2. Remember to observe all precautions, wash your hands clean the container before and after finding (or use gloves), take your own pen and probably best not to swap swag or take TBs unless you can do so safely.

29-Mar-20
Given that we are now at Level 4, I am removing temptation by disabling all my caches. Any logs WILL be deleted.

23-Feb-20
Took me a little while to find, but it’s fun!

On our way back down after checking out the burned areas of the track. Had to hide from muggles while trying to search out this one. Could hear their voices from a long way off so had time. Easy find though with the hint. TFTC.

04-Sep-19
A day off work in the middle of the week so decided to treat myself. Was on this track to find another cache. All good here. Lovely view in the gap. Tftc

17-Feb-19
Signed the log in between passing hikers. Thanks for hiding this!

12-Nov-18
Dried out, revamped and restocked -- all good to go again.

06-Nov-18
Uplifted to take home to dry out, replace bags, and restock. Should be back in a day or two.

13-Oct-18
Out walking with a friend and have never been on this part of the Pineapple Track before. Today we started at Woodhaugh Gardens and went all the way to Flagstaff - Whare Flat Road. Was very happy to get this along the way TFTC

I'd left this one because I knew I'd be going past it at some stage. So today, going down the new Pineapple on the way back to the car, time for a fairly quick stop. The CO pointed me back up the track, and there was the hint object at GZ with a bit of windfall around it to negotiate. Logbook dampish and some water in bottom of container - CO says he'll be doing a maintenance run on a sunny day shortly. Now another layer on before catching up with the others. We got back to the cars just as the rain started to move in - perfect timing!

02-May-18
Contents quite damp. Poured some water out and sealed as best as possible.

26-Mar-18
Me, CJCurry and Hevic climbed up Flagstaff today and it was rough. And was also Ramble #2 for the Rambler's Reward!

We got down here, found it easily... and then had to trudge all the way back up! Not a great time. But, tftc!

26-Mar-18
A trip up the Pineapple track over Flagstaff has been on the cards for a while now, so Hevic, safetykat, and I made our way up and over today. Grargh, those cursed (hint object)s! They're as bad as a handful of other hint objects beginning with the same letter. We did indeed find the cache then turn around as our little detour along the Old Pineapple had put us a bit off course. Still, I'm sure my legs will thank me... one day... Cheers!

Somehow I thought that I was looking for a large astelia. Not spotting any I resorted to a look at the hint and saw it right in front of me. Used my walking pole for the retrieval, tipped out a bit of water and took the TB. Had to do a bit of maneuvering of my body to replace the cache.

17-Jan-18
Found with P&Vee. Nice to have a quick find near the end of a long walk. Tftc

09-Jan-18

So so many good memories up here, in fact I have a few photos of almost exactly a decade ago (June and July 2007) in the snow, I was only 12! Red Face Great spot, great cache. Definitely a favourite Big Grin

Also dropped off the travel bug I brought back from the Gold Coast, poor thing might be a bit cold though Razz

12-May-17
Stopped here late this morning on my way back down from finding some puzzle cache finals further up. A quick find - signed log, TFTC

25-Mar-17
What a great destination to aim for! I had limited time, and this cache was just at the right distance to allow me to make it back down to the car in a reasonable time! TFTC!!

02-Feb-17
Thanks for the cache.

31-Jan-17
Wet night but I still headed out. Looked at a few hints as my phone gps wouldn't settle. Headed further up the hill. On way back looked again in the same places getting back to where I started and there it was. Rain had lifted a bit so not quite so dark.

28-Jan-17
Having gone up the Davies Track in order to grab a couple of caches, we came down this way so we could have a look for this one. Spotted the likely hint object before leaving the track and sure enough, cache was found exactly as the hint suggests. Found with AorakiSheep.

28-Jan-17
As we approached GZ, we came across a family having a rest about 10m from cache. What to do?? Do we dash off into the bush, wait them out or carry on and come back later? Stopped to retie my shoelaces and noticed that the family was getting ready to move on so we carried on down the track slowly and kept looking back until they had moved out of sight. Back we went, and happily made a quick find then back onto the track, just as some more muggles came along. Found with debsnz

11-Jan-17
We must echo U.N.C.L.E's comments here - hard to see what all the fuss was about. A great spot for a hide, as well as an opportunity to catch the ol' breath! Cheers Smile

18-Dec-16
On the way back down the hill after coming up the Davies track with Ruby to do GC6X288 and grabbing a couple more caches. Made this one harder than what it needed to be, but got there in the end. .

SL. Thanks for the hide KiwiChris

06-Oct-16
Having read earlier logs I thought this was going to be much harder. In the event, it was pretty straightforward. Accurate co-ords and a good hint soon had the cache in hand. A pleasant walk and nice to get out after the unpleasant weather of late. TFTC.

03-Oct-16
Found on 3/10/2016.

School hols so a bit more time to drop in and grab some caches...
Found on the way down off the hill.

TFTC KiwiChris

It took a while to find the correct hint object. The cache was easy enough to see. Instead of going under I draped myself over but retrospect I think if a muggle had walked past It would be difficult to explain. (And it would look rather silly Big Grin) Dropped off my Departed Wanderer TB. Goodbye little fella. Thanks Smile

18-Sep-16
I agree with everything Katie W said. And to add that I spent far too long barking up the wrong hint object (pun intended). Yes, even with a description like that, there is more than one of them!

29-Aug-16
FTF @ 11.20am. The terrain and difficulty are warranted. Being skinny, short and agile would be an advantage in finding this cache. Visible from only one angle, and then you have to work out how to get to it! Arrrrrrrrgh! But lots of fun. thanks Chris. Dropped off Trixie who wants to see the world.

28-Aug-16
Something is wrong as I only hid it yesterday. Will check it out as soon as I can.

28-Aug-16
All good to go. I had underestimated the pull of the obvious, so have added a hint to help.

28-Aug-16
Looked for a good half hour, found a good hiding spot, but no cache.
