Find# 12398Nice quick find. There was no barrier to us finding the cache. The hide is a very common place for a cache.TFTC Travelling Sister and ziggiau
Working somewhere over in the greater Sydney area, so can only do simple easy finds here and there. A drizzly cloudy day but not too wet for geocaching. This took a while to narrow, less than five minutes. Well nursed. TFTC Travelling Sister
I couldnt find it where it said it was but people are saying it was way off then where they said
Found It!The coordinates are a little out but it was a quick find in the obvious spot.TFTC
Couldn't find it, afraid of touching trash, had a good time at the night markets tho!
Between tennis on TV and a uni assignment, we needed a Saturday afternoon leg stretch which had us in Lakemba for geocaching. Reached around in an overgrown area with no luck and then looked a bit further. The hide location is fully covered with vegetation but, if you look further along, you will see a common hide location and be able to follow it to its logical location. Always nice to collect another TS geocache. SL TFTC CheersGaztek
I actually live in America and I have never been to Australia but I just decided to log it for some reason
Looked around a while but had no success. Noted from previous logs that the coordinates are a bit out, and not knowing by how much it is not easy to focus the search. Also, lots of rubbish in the bushes made for not a very pleasant search.
Leap of faith here…. Quite literally had me with CIH. I was happy to make the quick find in the logical place and get out as it was a very hot day and there seemed to be people sitting in their cars with air con on nearby so I didn’t want to linger TFTC
Sydney Day 7: McMahons Point - South Head - Everleigh - Sydney Park - Belmore
Today’s agenda was a whirlwind of a journey, as I had promised to bring my partner over to Watsons Bay (which I have touted as my favourite place in Sydney) and them, later, to have dinner with the in-laws over in Belmore. That meant that there was a lot of travelling to be done today, on top of clearing up some of the outstanding caches on my Sydney to-do list. So, round and round I go, by ferry, light rail and train to complete another fruitful caching day.
(End of the cut and paste bit)
The final cache of the day, and yes, everything is harder in the dark. We decided to walk to Lakemba instead of Belmore from the in-laws’ place, and I came round here to poke at the bushes a bit. I had a good idea of the cache hide here, and I guessed correctly. Just didn’t expect the shrubbery to be so thick. Well, that all worked out eventually, so great. TFTC, I am not sure how many of the series I have found, but our Saint seems to have been everywhere around here!

A tough one, coords are a bit off just think about the only places a cache could actually be

#8 Early cycle to Riverwood and back. Interesting, thankfully a public holiday and daylight. Thanks Travelling Sister #1992
Took a while as I was being pointed further up the line but figured it had to be in that line somewhere. Shrubbery helps hide it much more but eventually found and all dry inside despite the bag being torn. TFTC
OCW Nateve101; parked and grabbed but only because both of us have tried so many times to find this one in the past! Thankfully this time there were no cars in front of the cache with drivers inside and Nateve101 made the quick grab! TFTC! And super thankful to turn this frown upside down! ️️
Bit too hard for aliendoods today also there’s a weird vibe so we’re moving on lol
Did not find it, very overgrown and recently the tree has been cut down making it harder to search for it
Working on a personal challenge with Nana nel to lift our found on every day count to 10 per day. For this date Nana needed 5 and I needed 3. We knew that 3 previous DNF's in the area were adopted and probably in good condition under the new CO so caching in this area would probably be good to us. 5 finds and 1 DNF, thanks to the CO's who take care of their caches.
Looked in many places and while I had my head in the bush checking out the Guard Rail, a car pulled up behind me and the driver demanded me to explain what I was doing. After explaining, I gave up.

Got deterred by some angry bees at GZ, will have to properly prepare for a return.
I was down a bit south of here today so thought I would look for the couple of Lakemba caches on the way home. Despite the previous image that showed me what to look for I came up empty handed. But I couldn't check all the uprights as some were well overgrown by the bush nearest the road, hopefully it isn't stuck in one of those. Thanks Travelling Sister and ziggiau.
Sydney Feb 21 Trip. Day 3. I joined Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and Tankengine for a weekend trip to Sydney to attend a few Community events and do as much caching as possible. The second day was a leisurely walk down to circular quay doing lab caches and multi way points before boarding the ferry to Cockatoo Island for the second Community event of the weekend. The island was an eye opener with history from all different ages and a great collection of cachers to talk to. The afternoon was the trip home via the bonus for the Tank stream adventure lab series, then a but of suburban caching before the final trek to Goulburn and then Canberra. What a great weekend.
On our way out of town we stopped at a few places and found some more, just one more caches.
Thanks for the cache Travelling Sister

23,721. Found with minniek, Tankengine and albida33 during a Sydney weekend run attending some Community Celebration Events and generally having a caching good time.
Day 2 of our Sydney trip attending three Community Celebration Events, finding many other caches and generally having a great time. Caught the ferry over to Cockatoo Island this morning for the event, and grabbed the rest of the island caches at the same time. After that we went back to the mainland and made our way towards the third CC Event caching along the way. After the third event we started heading home grabbing a few more caches - because we could ! Lol. Next stop. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed on to the next one on the list.
Thanks Travelling Sister and ziggiau !!

After reading some previous logs I had a good idea of where and what to look for which made for a quick find. Thank you for the cache!
Glad to reverse a previous DNF here. A quick park and grab today with no muggles around. TFTC
almost gave up on this one until we looked at the gallery pics and then we were able to orient ourselves correctly and get ourselves more accurately in to GZ. TFTC
Took a little while till we looked a little further. TFTC Travelling Sister and ziggiau
We searched in the bushes near GZ at the carpark entry but there was so much rubbish and we eventually conceded.

This was my last ditch attempt at finding a cache in the City of Canterbury. I got to GZ and was completely disheartened. The tree shown in the satellite image was completely surrounded by cardboard boxes and other filth. No way was I going to rummage through that. Also the schools were churning out and there were eyes everywhere watching me.
6 hours, 2 finds and 4 DNFs. What a failure of an afternoon!

We clearly made a man feel like we were stalking him when we pulled up to park behind him and waited for him to go, he checked his car over and over came back , checked again, and again, kept peeking at us and turning back from around the corner where his house was, I even gave him a friendly hi as he checked his car again, finally I was able to find the cache and leave before he could report us for stalking!!!!!!!
We had to sit around and wait for a man to leave who clearly thought we were stalking him, but that gave us time to read the hints and work out where to look. Pitman Clan made a quick find as a result. TFTC
Travelling Sister I found your cache Mary MacKillop - Lakemba on 9/2/19, 12:36 pm. This is my find 2260 and find # 5 today. A quick park and grab. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN

Been here before and this time I PAF and it appears it's gone. I left a replacement and placed it on the hard rail. A little easier for the next finder. TFTC
Took a slight deviation on my way to work today, jumping off the M5 at King Georges Road, to grab a few caches & multi waypoints at Beverly Hills, Wiley Park, and Lakemba. A total of 3 finds, plus 2 waypoints and 2 DNFs, for the day.
Had a quick look for this one amongst all of the rubbish and spider webs, but failed to spot the cache. Will have another go when next in the area. TFTH anyway Travelling Sister and ziggiau.

Out with Goldenwattle and Coybear2000 for a caching drive. G had put together an itinerary looking for some of the Mary MacKillop caches.
We parked a short distance away and walked to GZ. A brief search and a look at some previous logs and we had CIH. TFTC.

I spent way too long here, and in the end it was in a 'normal' spot for this type of infrastructure.
One log about moving some rubbish was no help at all.
One log about moving some rubbish was no help at all.
Last stop on my caching morning in the Canterbury district.
I probably shouldn't have come here as it was heading even further away from home but once the caching bug bites, you just go for that one more.
There was plenty of easy parking an easy 100m walk from GZ., maybe less.
Having done several of these Mary MacKillop caches I thought I knew where to look but that was unsuccessful so I widened my search and widened my search. There's lots of rubbish here so I began thinking I would have to abandon this one as it was so dirty. I moved one piece of extremely large rubbish, not just thrown down as you walk by but very obviously dumped (people are so disgusting, why not put it in their own rubbish bin) and that exposed something that often hides a cache so I moved a second large rubbish item and was able to reach in and ......yay, the cache!
The cache is all good!
Signed the log and visited some TBs, replaced the cache and headed home, for a very late lunch.
A very successful morning, 5/5 finds.

I've found these hides before so once I saw what I was looking for the cache was to hand. TB visited. Thanks for placing the cache here
I thought this was one i had attempted to find a while back, but found the area completely different. Well i found it anyway after circling the block for a parking spot. One just came available right next to gz.
Back in the car air conditioning and writing this log entry, another car is rudely honking at me to leave. Should i sit here for the 2 hours?
Thanks for the cache.

I thought I'd finished caching today after ending up in Homebush but when I headed home I realised there was a reason to be over this way soI hopped back on the bus and made my way to Lakemba. GZ was pretty busy but after sheltering from a storm I dived in for the grab

Worked in a few caches during a trip through the inner-west.
This was final of 10 finds (and 1 DNF) for the day.

Actually, this would have been the 5th find except some muggle was parked right next to GZ, motor running, reading and eating his lunch. I waited 15 minutes but it didn't look like he was in a hurry - and it's a 2 hour carpark (AARGH!) So suspended to continue my trip.
On the return journey, stopped by and actually got _pole position_ parking right next to the cache.

Was in this area today and stopped in for this cache. Parked up the street in the carpark and walked back. Had a look at a suspected GZ but then went elsewhere before coming back and braving things to locate the cache. Thanks!
