Bit good at putting these back together so just swiped the record strip green. Tftc
I had about an hour to spare this morning so I targeted the caches on this bike path doing 14 of them by car and by foot.
The second cache for me and a busy road this SUnday morning.

We were looking for a place to enjoy a wintery walk today and decided to return to Phillip Island and explore this track. Today was a perfect day to enjoy the walking track before the weather heats up. Thanks for the cache.

*9 Sep 2018, Found @ 8:01 am, Find # 8239.*
I headed out today with biggles1024 for a trip down to Phillip Island, it has been a while since we have been down this way and there are so many more caches to find now since the last time.
Two years ago I did complete this trail on bike but today we were going to walk this section but as it turns out we were able to park very close by to them.
Mark was onto this one very quickly once we got out of the car.

Easy find in the obvious place although it seemed a little lower than it should be so I made sure to put it back “above head height” TFTC!
During a previous visit to the area, we had looked for caches along the Phillip Island Road from the junction of the Bass Highway to San Remo. We found most of them but missed a small number. Since that visit a number of new caches have been added to the walking/riding track along this road. So, our last task for the afternoon was to look for as many "To Be Found" caches as possible before the light faded.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Wal-len for the cache and other caches along the bike/walk track.

Great to be out and about on this lovely winters day with Oz Hockey Chick. The game plan to ride along here to the around about way up the road. Thanks heaps for placing this fabulous series

Having a 4 day holiday at Philip Island and stopped for this quick little cache
Decided to tackle a section of the Walk Path series today, on foot
Was pleased with the variety of hides. Most were quite easily found due to accurate co-ords. Unfortunately some logs were found wet and some logs quite full
Loved the pathway and the views. Look forward to returning to complete the series including the odd DNF
Many thanx to Wal-len
Unfortunately this log was quite wet due to the lid being cross threaded. Took a while to remove the lid with the tools that I had available. Log signed, although smudged, and lid replaced in correct manner

Caching with ceebee2013 and her two little granddaughters, I drove along the road to each one while they mostly walked cache to cache. TFTC.
08/04/2018 - 11.02am - Find No. 945 - 2nd of 8 finds for the day - with dgfb33 & big-little & littler grand daughters on a warm but relatively short 'hunting' trip.
The girls & I headed off on foot for the next cache along the path while dgfb headed back to the carpark to get the car to use as his mode of transport. Up the hill we wandered & met up with dgfb at the required location.
A quick hunt was done before the magic 'found it' was uttered. Cache was found, admired by smaller ones, photoed, signed & returned as found. Thanks for the cache.
There were about 4 cycling muggles during the whole trip but not while we weren't hunting & only one muggle on foot for the whole trip...bargain!!!
The girls did a lot of walking between short car rides but still managed to get distracted with stones, gravel, sticks, stones, sand/gravel, stones ... but nowhere near as much as they'd managed on our trip out on Friday ... they were a bit tuckered out & a little warm but & mostly happy by the time we headed home.

After visiting family in Wonthaggi, I decided to take a walk in San Remo. I grabbed these caches along the way. Happy Easter! Thanks for the cache Wal-len.

Needing a decent length walk I decided to pop down Wonthaggi way and walk along the road connecting Phillip Island to the mainland. I only saw one person along the path today and even that was close to the car park next to Westernport Views.
I hope the locals make more use of this great facility than what I saw today but then again the bus stop at Anderson is not exactly the most popular starting place for a walk, now is it ?
Most caches were found without too much trouble with only 1 missing, 1 in desparate need of a new log, 1 guarded by so many Xmas spiders that I really couldn't see a way through to it without destroying much of what they built so I left the cache alone and 1 a DNF because I simply couldn't find it despite logs advising it was a simple find.
Thanks for the fun Wal-len.

After my time was up further down the coast, I made my way to the Island. I was going to attempt a bit of this series but stopped after 3 caches. Another one I was thinking it would but it was a quick find. Signed and returned as found.

*Saturday morning, a great opportunity to ride this section of the Bike/Walk Path.*
Spotted this one quite quickly, the tricky part was to fit the log back in the pesky nano.
Thanks Wal-len for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

I spent the morning caching down the Bass Highway, starting near Wonthaggi and working my way back north. My main goal for the day was to find one last cache to complete D/T loop 10, which I did.
On the way back I parked the car and had a pleasant walk along the bike path (no bike today) to find the caches. Nice views along the way too.
Thanks Wal-len.

The lid hadn't quite been put back on properly so some tools were required to open it and retrieve the log. Added our names, screwed the lid back on and returned to its secret spot. TFTC.
Quick find, but had to return to the car parked nearby to remove the lid. Should be easier to unscrew for the next finder. TFTC
I offered up my Uncle duties to the three kids for the day but they had plans so I threw the bike in the car to head down to the rail trail series again. I didn't see many people on the trail today but even better was the lack of flies. They really got to me last time I came here.
27 cache finds and 3 dnf's.
Not bad all in all. The weather was great and the exercise was much needed.
I had no idea this was my 1800th cache at the time. I parked my bike and wandered over for a look and found the pesky cache which again gave me trouble due to my gloved hands. I signed and replaced and got moving again.
Thanks Wal-len

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

I cached to the NE of Anderson this morning in the rain so it is much better to set off to the west this afternoon with the sun nearly shining. Another great run of caches. Thanks Wal-len.
Clever little hide. I would have been too short to see or reach it but geohubby had no problems.

Find #3284
Had some time to spare before heading off to the footy on the Easter Monday public holiday so I took a drive down towards Philip Island without a specific destination in mind. I knew there were caches along the rail trail here and this leg starting along the old road to the island seemed a good place to start. This was my fourth find of 12 along here and after shuffling the car along a bit I was able to find this. Couldn’t spot it at first but was able to feel it out and the find was made. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Wal-len.

Out and about for the day with Mark9375 and Geojill_11 picking up a few caches along this sandy trail. A nice easy find and within reach.

Wife dropped me off at the start of the roundabout and i went for a walk/run along. Thanks for these
I dropped geohubby off and he cached along the trail to our pre-assigned pick up spot. At least by having a chauffeur, it saves back tracking in this heat and with the flies..... TFTC
Found at 2:43 PM GAFF1.
Now there was a quick find after the time spent at the Steep Descent one [^] However those flies certainly know when both your hands are occupied to put together the nano container
Thanks Wal-len.

The first few spots that I checked came up blank, and then I thought "surely not" but yes, there it was.
With life getting in the way of caching recently, today was a good day to get out and head south for a mind clearing day away from it all. In the company of abl973 we had some excellent walks around areas and trails that we hadn't visited before.
A break in the traffic and the container was retrieved. Thanks Wal-len.

This was one that I found easily but Jess had to give up so the ease of the find might depend on whether you have found this type of cache before.
SL at 3.23pm We made a start on these Pathway and Bike/Walk trails this afternoon and hoped the showers did not cause too much disruption to our plans. We ended up with 26 caches and 1 DNF for the day although not all were part of the trails. We had a mixture of weather - showers, wind & sunshine and not too cold to make it uncomfortable. We travelled mostly by geoCruiser, but in some parts we walked to take in the views and breathe the sea air. A successful day and added another tick to a Challenge cache we are working on. #4045 TFTC Wal-len

Out on the bikes with the Swaggies. Find 1274 at 7 September 2016 10:41 AM. Bombed by a maggie
This took longer and had me scrabbling around sod of clay and rocks till I read the description more carefully. Then there was only one place to look. Lots of cars along road made difficulty finding, retrieving and replacing harder and a bit more dangerous. Just able to reach it and walking ladder not with me today.
A fairly quick find between cars. Had to wait for another two cyclists to pass before returning. They were also being chased by the magpie. Struggled to not cross thread container. Caffeine levels must be dropping. TFTC
Thanks for these 7 new caches. All our chores for the day completed so a walk in the sunshine looked like a good idea. Found in good order.
****FTF**** a quick find with Zobo04. Rain stopped so it was time to get the torch out and do some FTF hunting which I haven't done for sometime now. I reckon if we didn't do them now the other ftf hunters in town would be out at the break of dawn. TFTC Wal-len
****FTF**** with Gonefishen07 a little night time fun before I have to go to bed. Thanks for the Cache and the walk Wal-len
