There has been a lot of work going on in this area, found what we think was the hint however there is no sign of a cache. Looked in the area for ages
Had a bit of a search and found nothing at the hint objects that were located. Found a hint object with a plastic tie thinking that was the hiding spot but realised the tie was used to secure the steel when making the concrete. Stock piles of dirt close to GZ. May need a CO check.
Arrived in Dunedin for a few days as one of the kids has their final exhibition for their degree. Found 18 caches today. Also ended up with a couple of DNF. This was the first. Can’t say GZ was somewhere that I wanted to spend long searching.
Not a nice cache to find. Used nappies and glass everywhere and dead animals - we decided to leave it in the end. didn’t find it.
Quick park n grab on the way to Dunedin, had to be careful as so much broken glass and rubbish around, tftc
After an overnight stay at the Brighton Domain catching up with fellow travellers, off on a trip back to caching around Mosgiel and along the way.
Out around Momona picking up a few smilies here now.
Hint led me straight to cache hide. OMG the rubbish! don't reckon the cache will be muggled, too much other stuff around tftc

Thanks for putting this out for us to visit!
Quick easy find.

We were down in Invercargill for a week then travelled around a bit and we passed quite a few caches and i was able to stop and locate some and then made our way through to Dunedin for a reunion stopping at Lawerence , Gabriel's Gully and few other caches already solved and now finally logging with the hope that not too many are muddled.
thank you for this cache
thank you for this cache
On my way to Dunedin for a few days, so this broke the journey abit, I know where the next CITO should be, this was shocking to see, not big items, just chucked out the car type of rubbish, found the cache quickly, tftc Hall-way
Cache 508 got to GZ and was afraid the cache might be gone as a lot of the parking lot has piled up rubble and asphalt, but nope cache is here and in great shape phew T4TC
Day 13 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
I woke up this morning having spent the night beside a lovely beach near Heywards Point on the outskirts of Dunedin. Today's plan was to drive from Dunedin down to the Catlins, although I had no real idea of how far I'd get today. I have been so lucky to have dry conditions my whole trip so far, with the sun really putting in an effort to convince me it wasn't winter!
This was effectively a quick park n grab for me. I was happy to see that there was no-one else around to bother me as I conducted my search, and I found the cache with little fuss. There were no issues with the container or log, which was signed before everything was replaced exactly as found and I was back on my way again.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Area has been bulldozed, we’re pretty sure it’s been pushed under a bundle of branches and debris
Holy guacamoley what a spot.
Whilst I can understand why the CO put a cache here, it was not a good experience. Wading through rubbish and litter, kneeling down amidst broken glass and in the smell of fresh human excrement...
Still, you can't really blame them. Not a rubbish bin for miles, and the nearest publicly accessible toilet is..where? Outram? Waihola?
No. Thank you for the cache, but not a favourite.

It's school holidays again, time to grab a few caches if the mood takes me...
Nice to get one I had DNF'd on earlier.

After a hairraising landing on second try, I was finally ready to grab a few. I thought that rather than rushing into town, it would be more useful to use the daylight near the airport A local guy stopped behind me and came to check whether I was ok. Apparently once he found a couple of girls in a car that ran off the road in quite a state, so now he is very concious making sure people are ok, what a great bloke! He had a good laugh about caching! TFTC!!
Usually lots of cars here when I pass by. Just a couple of empty ones early on a Sunday morning. Took the opportunity while out this way
A quick and easy find. The area is a bit of a tip.... but thw cache is ok. Cheers
Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Today we drove from Dunedin to Invercargill with lovely weather most of the day till we reached the south coast.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

What a state! Nearly gave up before we started but first cache of day 2, traveling widdershins around the south of the south. Good to be back in Jimmy's pie country. Tftc
I flew in to Dunedin this morning about 9:30am today on my own for a special mission. I usually travel with Rebel98 and rustynz, so it feels a little strange today them not being with me! I picked up my rental car at the airport and I'm of to collect old caches and some others for a challenge cache I’m working on.
When I pulled into here, I thought... oh noo.... the cache is likely to be buried! So much earth has been shifted around here with a bull dozer and I have no idea how long ago. Nevertheless, I tried and after a lengthy search and a few scratches I managed to find the concrete. Cache all good here today!

2nd last cache after sneaking across the border from Southland getting the lie of the land of a whole new field of smilies to plough in the future. I could not resist a cache that had gone live the day after I plotted a northern cache run last year. No notes and no maps, local knowledge lead me here and a peek at the GZ from wayyy up highh, the cache was an easy find following my nose past the trash that always accumulates at wayside stops off the main road. Interesting what peeps throw out. The WM_spotted an old galv bath, NO, it stays! Go pick up some tins for fundraising instead. Speaking of tins, we found something bright and shiney peeping out it's hide and we SL. Cache returned to unobscure hide and we were off to log the last one of the day's journey. TFTC
On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.

The first one of the day. I saw the pull-off area and thought that there had to be one here and sure enough there was. Thanks
At last, a free weekend before the onset of chaos. An early morning phone call...'are you able to take xyz up north to a customer?''
There was no excuse not to, quickly chucked clothes on dragged her outta bed raced into work, got parts, and on the road before 8am.
As we drove, the voice from the passenger seat, piped up and said ' look at all these, aren't we going near here?'
Oooh Goody!! Now it's a fun work trip, might be a long day!!!
A quick park and grab as we head for home.
We would need a very large truck and trailer to Cito this one
tftc

WhTs not to love about a caching trip combined with downsouthinv having to deliver parts for work.
Any excuse is a good one, and time to head off the main road into the wilderness to find us some caches.
This should be renamed shame1
It's disgraceful.
Needs a cito

Stopped here on our way through New Zealand during our vacation. Time to relax a few minutes while looking for some caches.
This was a quick find, grab and log.

Sunshine out on the Taieri, and a good day for a hunt. A lot of rubbish in this area. TFTC
This was my lucky last #13 cache today. Man the rubbish around is disgusting Quick find though, thanks!
Today we made a trip from Dunedin via Milton, Balclutha, and the Catlins to finally Invercargill, visiting some new sightseeing locations and looking for old caches. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was warm in the morning and in the afternoon, but no rain at all.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to Hall-way for showing us this location and for the fun we had at State One. (Otago). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Quick park and grab, no one around today. Hardly any traffic on SH1 either. TFTC
I found it just as the batteries in my GPS died. Without being unkind this place ain't got a lot going for it. TFTC
All quiet here today. No one else around apart from a couple of cyclists across the road getting ready to pedal the plains. Quick find & then the wait for a break in the traffic to get back onto SH1. TFTC
Quick park and find. Picked up the TB to take on some travels. Found with Conbat. TFTC!
A dot day with a tight schedule today. Another trip this way to locate this one in a hurry. TFTC Hall-way Dropped off a TB
So much rubbish = plenty of places to look, but didn't want to go grubbing through too much unhygenic junk. Intrigued by the tin bath... Finally paused, and spotted an obvious place, and there it was. Quick find during an Easter Sunday of caching across the Taieri plains. TFTC hallway.
Taking Mrs Daywalk Senior for an afternoon drive. Kiwirail workers at the railway crossing but well awy from where we disappear into the trees. There is is, right in the obvious place where we looked last time. Picked up some bottles for recycling. Thanks for replacing this one Hallway!
I love driving on the South Island, the roads are similar to the non motorway roads in the SW of England, but there is so much less traffic The cache was a quick find, but the cache site was a bit smelly. Out caching with Will of the Wisp on our “Round the World in 80 Days” trip to celebrate retirement. Signing logs with our names or initials depending on space. Greetings from England, TFTC.
Heute waren wir von Dunedin auf den Weg nach Te Anau. Neben der gigantischen Kulisse haben wir noch ein paar Döschen am Wegesrand eingesammelt und die Natur fotografiert. Danke fürs Legen.
Not a great caching day, as it is raining - still. This was found in the second place checked. All is in good order with the container and log. Just picking up a few caches around the area to represent this part of the country. It was easily found and duties were completed before the cache was replaced where it had been found. Thanks go to Hall-way for placing this cache, which was found by a couple of Aussies who are on a very wet tour of New Zealand.
I'm heading to the catlins to grab some earthcaches and right here was a great place to grab a trad on my way found all safe and secure exactly where it should have been tftc
Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots. many thanks the cache - Bitsprayer
First of what I hoped would be good day out with Bitsprayer. Good to see the cache replaced as it had gone walk about.

Quick find but should of brought a rubbish bag with me .
Quick find but should of brought a rubbish bag with me .
Heading home from working away on business, did try hard to find this one.
Wasn't prepared to spend long looking in what was virtually a rubbish dump. Maybe it is gone.
I tried to find this cache at 3:04:00 PM on 11/10/2017.
I didn't have much luck which could have been for many reasons.
A bit of a nasty place to hunt around, most likely spot truned up nothing.
Didn't want to move too much rubbish around...!

Hmm, found the crushed old tin bath, found a very promising large slab of hint with a nice gap under it (the one nearest the tyre) but didn't find the cache. Should really have spent some time adding to the afternoon bag of rubbish, but time to head back to pickup Mr D. A milk tanker arrived as we were leaving - must use this as a turnaround area?
