Tftc first one of this type. Took me a bit to get the hang of it.! Signed log eventually.
One of my favourite whereigos, cartridge worked beautifully for a change and I learned a lot working though it. Cache found quickly in a great hidey hole. Have another FP. Tftc
On an overnight trip with geo friends to Geraldton for some sightseeing and picking up a few caches along the route.
This was a very good and interesting wherigo to do, and the final being a great hide also. A favourite point coming your way
Thank you, beckNmonts & ReticBob, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment

Extraordinary and wonderfully symbolic tribute. The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history! Glad we detoured this way. Have travelled WEST from home base 3500 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. TFTC and the lure - another fave.
A beautiful memorial and the Whereigo was a lovely informative walk. The cache at the end is a very easy find. This Whereigo gets a fave from us. TFTWC
We spent the day in Geraldton exploring the area, walking and caching. This is a well presented whereigo and it worked first time for us. Great views of the town here too along the way.
When we got to GZ, we overthought too much, but found it in the end. We were getting hungry for lunch, may not have helped!!! TFTC

We went on a world tour with the AIDAmar and visited many cities on the Australian continent. We visited almost all the big cities in the south of the continent, and it was important for us not only to get to know the country and its people, but also to find one or two caches. We had a great time here. We went caching together with friends from the ship today. Together we also visited this memorable area, which commemorates the sailors of HMAS Sydney.
Many thanks for the cache say reax1001

What a mission had to work off another cachers phone as mine couldnt find the download. Got there in the end and grabbed the smiley. Signed as noso combination of niteowlnz and stretch0. Thanks for the wherigo.
To my amazement I managed to get the wherigo to work on my phone - my husband Stretch0 wasn't so lucky so we just worked off mine successfully managed to compete all the tasks and came up with the cache log signed as SONO - ( initials of Stretch0 and Niteowlnz) enjoyed the walk very much - thanks for the cache
It’s been a while since I have done a Wherigo…..not too many around, so was having a bit of trouble loading it. Eventually worked it out, and really enjoyed the different points that it took us to at the memorial. After completion, we wandered along and found a nice well hidden little cache. Thanks for the making of the Wherigo and placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Out and about again, up North I’m Geraldton, early morning jaunt collecting while most people are sleeping.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the Wherigo to work on my phone. Love it up here. So peaceful!
I liked the whereigo and it worked well. Unfortunately when was time to do signing duties I could not see the cache. Logged with permission of CO. Thank you!
I completed this wherigo on a trip to the west from South Australia.
I spent a couple of nights in Geraldton catching up with friends, re-visiting old haunts from when I lived here 25 years ago and finding some caches of interest. The place has changed a bit!
The wherigo cartridge worked well on my iphone, but unfortunately the cache was missing. I contacted the CO who very kindly allowed me to log the find.
Thanks beckNmonts & ReticBob for an interesting wherigo.

I usually have trouble with Whereigo caches but this one performed well. After touching all bases I was directed to the cache. I could not find it so I contacted the CO to make sure I was in the correct location. I was, and I am fairly very certain that the cache is not there. The kind CO has permitted me to log a find as my time in Geraldton is limited.
Unfortunately, the cartridge wouldn't work on our phones, but it's a wonderful memorial.
I was not able to get the Wherigo to work on my personal phone the other day, but I came back here today with my co-workers and my business phone. While they were checking out the memorial, I followed the directions on my business phone and ended up with the cache and a nice view of a rainbow. TFTC.
Pleased to redeem ourselves today after having to log a DNF last time we were in Geraldton! Never get sick of visiting the memorial, such an amazing place.
Caching in the Greater Geraldton area today. Our intention for the day was to attack some power trails and do map cleanup around town.
Quick park and grab after completing the Wherigo. Cheers reticbob!

Day 3 of the road trip with the boys C10,B12,L1.77 - lots of laughs and perhaps a little therapy will be needed after this trip. But one thing is for sure - I am determined to get a few more yellows on the map on my final full day here in Gero. Many thanks to the COs for the mix of caches. Sorry for the genetic log
This is my 1730 find.
Thank you reticbob for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
We completed the wherigo last time we were in town 2 years ago, but weren't able to search for the cache at the time. We made it a priority to get a smiley on our way through town this time. Thankfully a quick find. TFTC!
Day 3 of a quick North trip, I had a few caches on my list to find. Add a smiley here after walking the where I go last night but a man was on his deck right in front of us and using the phone torches would look oh so suspicious. Came back today to log. Thanks to the COs for maintaining these caches for our enjoyment! Cheers

Embarrassed to say we did not find this even after the cartridge told us we were at the right place! Thanks ReticBob for checking so quickly, too late for us this time but we will be back.
A beautiful way to reflect on the unfortunate events of many years ago.
The significance of the sculptures, the thought that has gone into creating each part, is like a heart gone out to each Sailor.
Thank you for such a wonderful whereigo out here at the HMAS Swan Memorial.
Thanks for sharing the interesting parts and a neat little finale
A fav from us for this one

Done a few Wherigo but this one by far most interesting. Enjoyed the extra information what an amazing memorial. TFTC
Find 8 of 29 with fourteen DNFs on a day-long 30km bike ride around Geraldton with not a cloud in the sky. Many more DNFs than we would usually register, this is a tricky town! Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
A really well constructed wherigo which we enjoyed and was educational - despite having visited a couple of times before we both learned some new things along the way. Cache placement is good too. The whole thing worked perfectly, thanks for your efforts in putting this together.

The WherIGo didn't work with my Oregon 450, so we did it with the IPhone.
Everything was good with the IPhone and at the end we first found the smashed container and then the new one.

A visit here was a highlight for us in Geraldton. To have a couple of caches to work in with our visit was perfect. I left the family reading plaques and taking in the sobering experience and followed the cartridge around having my own experience as I learnt about the memorial and the happenings all those years ago. I called them all together as we went offsite.
I had not read previous logs (until now - 20 March) and was devastated when we found the crushed cache. Eagle eye miss J found the replacement cache and I was happy again
Thanks reticbob, I enjoyed this wherigo and am adding another favourite point.

Greetings from Scotland. We are meandering our way from Perth to Exmouth and staying in Geraldton tonight. We arrived in time to head out for some caches. We had been at the nearby shopping mall for some provisions so headed towards this cache afterwards. We really enjoyed this wherigo and we absolutely loved the memorial. It didn't take too long to complete and we found it very interesting. We were pleased to see the final was nearby and headed off to see what we could find. When we arrived at GZ we spotted the hint. A quick look around and MrF had the cache in his hand.

First geo found using Wherigo, very interesting tour! Did this one late with my partner, definitely made for an amazing Ng experience.
Kids & I loved this tour. We have been here many times & really appreciates learning new information.
Found the cache but container was completely squashed so we couldn’t sign.
Thanks for the tour & the cache.

I was doing a road trip from Darwin to Perth and found this cache along the way. Unfortunately, I found just the remainings of the cache as if it got destroy only a short time ago. Thanks.
We were lucky enough to catch the daily tour for the HMAS Sydney and her crew this morning, but were rained out before we could complete this one. Learnt some fascinating facts about the sculptures and their positioning and about the crew. This memorial has been on our must see list for quite some time, so glad we made the trip on this wet and windy Geraldton day. TFTC.
We are on a wander around the wheatbelt looking for wildflowers, Not really sure where we are headed but just taking it day by day.
We stopped up here for lunch and I decided we had time to takle this one.
The phone GPS was about 10 metres out which made some of the locations a little tricky but all the information was found and the cache itself was an easy find.
This was find number 6 for the day.

After a slow geocaching start to the day due to just over three hours spent at the fantastic museum this one was our first stop.
After seeing the underwater video footage of the Sydney II and Kormoran both at Denham and the other part of it here this morning I was hyped up to find this one. Did what we had to do then went off and quickly found the cache
RIP to those wonderful men who sacrificed all

On a 6 day trip up north to visit family in Carnarvon, and maybe exmouth, with my lovely girlfriend HR2990, picking up as many caches as possible, Thanks to everyone for hiding these caches for us to find.
A slow walk around the memorial learning about the Sydney and search for the wreck, particularly liked the Pool of Remembrance and the symbolism of the whole space.
Thanks beckNmonts & ReticBob for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 1737 for me.

I dropped my car at the nearby brake repair place, result of a punishing trip down the Canning Stock Route. So filling in time I'm wandering the streets of Geraldton grabbing a few caches. This was the third for the day, a quick find after completing the informative whereigo and the log was duly signed.
Thanks becknmonts and ReticBob for placing this whereigo cache.

Thank you! In Geraldton for the last day of a mini holiday. I headed to the memorial and started the wherigo. I appreciated it taking me on a guided tour of the area. And of course the cache at the end was a bonus. I really enjoyed this one, so a favourite from me.
As a current serving and HMAS Sydney crew member this one was pretty special to me. TFTC
On a visit to Kalbarri over the Easter long weekend and in between shifts volunteering at the local ambulance subcentre I went off exploring
Followed the steps to each waypoint learning some facts along the way
Once I had GZ I headed off to make a find in the logical spot

Today we visited the Guided tour at the HMSA Sydney Memorial. We met Jenny and Bob. Jenny took the Lead and Bob had programmed the Wherigo which we were still playing here. It was very interesting and gave us a lot of Fun. It was great to meet You. Thanks for the Wherigo
A lovely tour around the memorial, a great use for a Wherigo. Not many people around today so we got to enjoy it by ourselves. Tftc
This was only our third wherigo, but it is certainly our favourite. It is also our third visit to Geraldton and our third visit to the HMAS Sydney memorial. It never fails to move us to tears. It is a beautiful memorial and thank you for how you have set up the wherigo to explain the significance of so many of the features.
Every part of the site seems to have some link back to all the sailors who lost their lives, from the seagull dome, to the waiting woman and the reflective pool. It is a tribute to the people who conceived and developed this memorial as a very real legacy to those who have given their lives to protect our country.
The find itself was very simple and straightforward (thanks to the hint), and we appreciate the fact that after working through the wherigo we didn't then turn around and miss the find.
TFTC and thanks for all the work you hav put in to developing and maintaining this not so simple, and certainly not straightforward cache.

On a stop for lunch at geraldton, I went up the hill for the memorial. It’s my first Wherigo. Thanks for let us know about this place.
I decided to have a big day and find as many in and around Geraldton today before heading further north. Time to find out where I need to go with this one, which required a different piece of equipment as my gps does not play wherigos sadly! But I came prepared Great fun, TFTC!!
On the drive up to Gero from Perth today.
Had a look at this place after checking into our accommodation. Good to get another whereigo done. TFTC

That was fun! We learnt a lot on our little walk around!!
Thanks for bringing us to this very “beautiful” serene site! The water feature reminded us of the Twin Towers in NY. This area is extremely well done! Thanks for all your efforts for putting together something worthwhile and different.
A favourite from us.

Outnabout caching with Wollaston. This has been on my to do list for some time. Much fun. Thanks for the effort. I did learn stuff too!
First time for a Wherigo for us and really enjoyed it. Found with Team Outnabout while on holidays. TFTC.
A work trip to Geraldton gave me the chance to drive the long way and cross off another couple of LGAs.
Awoke to a marvellous day. Headed out before brekkie to grab a few.
I love a good whereigo and this was exactly that. Followed the instructions and answered the questions and it wasn’t long before I was directed to the final.
At the final location I found the cache in two pieces and without a log. Replaced the log and put everything back together. All good now.
A fave from me.

Visiting the Sydney memorial for about the 5th time now. 1st time was pre-geocaching time and all other 4 times for geocaching. This time a challenge or a new experience as we had never done a Wherigo cache. Our GPS is not Wheigo enabled and we only own a smart phone since recent but hardly use it for geocaching. After doing all necessary preparations at home we started this virtual tour. And although it was our 5th visit, we learned nearly at every stage something new. And that is what geocaching is about for us, not really the number game!
The tour was great and we found all stages easily although we had to get used to the app first but was all good in the end. A small walk to the final place and found the hidden tube easily. Signed off the log and back to our car. Thanks for the great experience and we will definitively looking for more Wherigo's now. TFTC beckNmonts & ReticBob, a favorite comes your way.

The cache need a maintenance because half the bison is missing...

I really enjoyed this wherigo. It was a very good way to highlight various aspects and the history significant to this memorial. I had quite a bit of trouble at one point where the cartridge was wanting a QR code and I couldn't find one but after a lot of tries I worked out how to enter the answer manually. After completing each task I followed the arrow to GZ only to find the lid of the cache and the I could see the log way below but no way to retrieve it. Logged with permission - thanks so much for that and for your prompt maintenance. Great wherigo - very worthy of a favourite. TFTC and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 11,398
Out on IGD in Geraldton for the 3rd year in a row with Barnzy12.
We started the morning a little late compared to a usual geocaching weekend however we did only get into town at midnight so a 8.30 start was early enough!!
The morning started with a extremely poor Find rate at around 40% found. We then headed to the Event and enjoyed a pub lunch and a pint of beer and that would see the luck turn there after.
After the event we headed off with Team Ruphace Matthew and Cathy finding around 20 caches with them.
The highlight was following the lead of reticbob and getting the caches in Moresby Range, going through private land that offered sensational views.
Overall a great day out in Gero, looking forward to seeing some of you again soon at WA Goes Big in Rockingham on the 9th September

Found on our first full day of our caching trip to Geraldton for the annual International Geocaching Day Event.
We arrived late Friday night, getting in just before midnight due to one of us finishing work about an hour later than planned! Stopping for a couple of simple Park and grabs along the way to keep our caching streak alive and enjoyed a quick feed for a late dinner in Jurien Bay.
We started the day with a bit of a later start after a small caching foray to find the new letterbox hybrid cache in town so we got up around 830 to start the caching day.
We curled up locally and headed around the suburb of Tarcoola, and had a large number of DNFs there, sitting around 40% find rate through the area, which was quite frustrating. We cached around the area attempting every cache on the Tarcoola Map before heading out to Bluff Point for the IGD event at the wintersun hotel, which we knew quite well having stayed there on our last trip whilst heading to the northwest.
We had a great pub lunch and enjoyed a cold beer whilst chatting to local cachers squash2 and reticbob regaling stories of some of the infamous caches around town that they either own of have had the pleasure of finding. Reticbob told us of his and others caches on the Moresby Range, which had only just been re enabled after the property changed hands.
We had to make tracks after the event to get the find rate up so teamed up with Team Ruphace who are from Melbourne but are staying in dongara and cached out bluff point with a significant amount of success before thinking we weren't that far from the Moresby Range so made the call to the land manager (this is a must - please respect this great spot so others can continue to enjoy it) and got the all OK to head to the northern side of the property, with the south off limits.
This would be my favourite part of our caching day, the Moresby Range is simply amazing, a MUST do if you come to Geraldton. Views forever. I won't say too much, you can get here and see it for yourself. Just please ring ahead (read the cache listings)
After the Moresby Range caches we headed back towards the centre of Geraldton where we kept finding cache after cache except for a few which need some serious CO attention. We managed to tick off a few nemesis caches including bluff point lighthouse, out and about erosion, tanked at the RSL and a few others, which was most satisfying.
We bid farewell to our companions after finding twenty odd caches together, which was most enjoyable and made finding it a bit easier with four sets of eyes at most caches.
We had a nice noodle dinner and got prepared to find a few more caches by torchlight around central Geraldton. The highlight of the evenings caching was another trip to the HMAS sydney memorial which is my favourite spot to visit in Geraldton. We followed the map around collecting the answers some of which I knew off the top of my head given my love of history and "the Sydney" we collected the puzzle cache for Cravo10 who somehow hadn't found it.
Overall a big day attempting around 60 caches with 40 finds, in around 12hours. Looking forward to finding some caches along the Chapman river tomorow on our final day of our short Geraldton getaway. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

*Grabbing a few caches whilst I'm here*...
Another windy day with scattered showers at times but still good to be out and about. Managed to grab 18 today with 1 DNF . What a beautiful part of Australia. I wish I had more time too look around. Another time. A nice straight forward find here.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment reticbob. Appreciate your effort.
Greetings from Victoria.

Cache On!
We were staying with muggle friends at Nanson we had organised a day out caching with Prospectors WA.
This cache has been on our must do list before we left Melbourne as we enjoyed this area so much on our last visit.
We have to say that we enjoyed the extra information that we gleaned from this cartridge and we all walked away a little wiser.
We did have a little bit of trouble with the zones but we can understand why when they are so close and it wasn't enough to take anything away from the tour.
We enjoyed the new addition since we have been here last commemorating the find of the HMAS Sydney.
We then followed the GPSr to gz where happily the cache was found in the first place we looked and our names have been added tot he log.
Many thanks for setting this one up, a favourite point from us..

While in Geraldton waiting for my car to be serviced troobloo and myself went up to the HMAS Memorial which was on our "must see" list.
After walking around the site we decided to do this cache while we were there.
The cartridge went fine with no hiccups until the end where we found the cache. I'm not sure what went wrong in the end of the cartridge but I don't think it completed.
The cache was found nicely tucked away though
