Fast find after walking through a boggy ditch (be careful after heavy rain). Nice view nearby. Like how some locals or keen fishermen have made firepits overlooking the water. Now just to catch the fish to cook in them . Signed in the team name KTD. Tftc
Spending a few days in Bundaberg and caching with RoddyC, Hatzofff and GEM_54 today.Didn't take long to find this one, signed log and replaced cache as found. TFTC
Out caching with hatzofff and Imbunda while staying locally for a few nights. With GEM_54.Followed the brown stuff but didn't go into the bluey grey stuff.Log signed and cache replaced as found at 8:53 AM on June 20, 2024. TFTC, youngoldfella.
Day 2 in the Coral Coast area. It is a nice sunny dayCaching with RoddyC GEM54 and imbundaTFTCache youngoldfella
First find of the day. It's nice and chilly at the river this morning. This did take us a bit to find the hide . Gotcha
Found what we think is the cache log. Bit hard to open, but that could be just us. Found while visiting relatives
We enjoyed a tour around the area this morning finding caches and this is one we found. There were fishermen at the end but we didnt have to go quite that far. Across the ditch and the cache was in hand. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks youngoldfella.
Couldn't believe how choppy the water was today - blowing a gale but still warm. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC youngoldfella
Took a while to spot it, but got it in the end.
Day 3 in Bundaberg. We opted for a quieter day with 2 Adventure Labs in town and a few remaining caches there, then headed over the river and out in a coastal direction. It meant we had a quieter time in town before business got busier and then gave us the opportunity to head out into can farming country and finally to the river. An interesting drive.
We found traditionals, some pre-solved puzzles and a couple of multis before the rain arrived and sent us home.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Another great view of the Burnett River. Played hide and seek with a kangaroo. TFTC
JTZ found it! This one was a bit tricky. Perfectly blended with its surroundings. TFTC
Thankfully the drain was dry today and we did not get our feet wet. We looked and looked and could not find the cache. But then hubby happen to glance down and there it was. I checked the trees above where it was and spotted the wire that should have been holding the container. We have attempted to repair and place back in the same place but it may need a check up on. SL TFTC
Gotcha !!! On our way from Yeppoon to Glen Innes. Bit of a detour to find a few caches. TFTC
Found on a week away going from Mackay to Bundaberg.
I was nearly stumped with this one.
I was not concentrating and nearly flooded my engine.
Luckily I didn't and soon had a smiley instead of a frowny.

Couldn't concentrate because the mozzies were instantly attacking us from all directions
My first find. Mate to self: read description b4 taking of not knowing what I was looking for.
Out on a maintenance run. The stump has gone but the co ordinates are still good. You are now looking for a small green pre form tube well off the road in a small group of trees at about shoulder high.
First full day in the Bundy area and mid afternoon decided to come out this way to collect a few caches. All good with the hides - thanks.
Day 2: Afternoon. Out and about around Bundaberg. Noticed where the cache was from a short distance, but how to get there. Signed log and returned cache back to its spot. TFTC youngoldfella
Quick find, I think the hint could be a little sneakier to give us a longer hunt but great nonetheless. tftc!
I was over north and decided to knock this one off the list. I had grabbed the original all those moons ago when it was in the area. On my drive out I to GZ it was like going down memory lane going past places that YOF previously had hides tftc again old friend. Looking forward to seeing what new exciting hides might come to the area now that you're back.
Hide was a simple park bad grab as stated in the discription being careful and weary of the ditch.

A few fisherpeople near GZ but all were more interested in what they were catching than what we were doing.

A nice sunny warm day to find a few geocaches. Such days are in short supply in South Australia at the mo. TFTC youngoldfella.
Staying at Bundaburg motor home camping grounds for the weekend.
This afternoon we toured the area following the geocache trail, finding a good variety of locations & caches.
We could see it but it took ages to remove it from its hide.
Thanks for placing this cache youngoldfella

TFTC. We are in Bundaberg for the next six weeks with a house sitting gig in Branyan. After some domestic chores this morning we wandered off to the north to explore and find some caches. Decided to head out to Fairymead and work our way back . This one took a while to reveal itself. Got there just before Linda hopped out of the vehicle to assist.
Lot of water to negotiate but got there in the end, cache difficult to extract but once it was I signed log and replaced in same spot.tftc
Up to Bundaberg today, and all the family is here for a funeral. Afterwards Team Luckman and I took a tour of North Bundy to clean up a smattering of unopened boxes off my map. Quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache, youngoldfella. Found in good condition.

One of the things I like about geocacheing is it takes you to out of the way places. This place really qualifies. TFTC Youngoldfella
Managed the short walk to find this well hidden cache due to there not being much water in the ditch and fortunately for us there was only 1 muggle fishing quite a long way from us this am. Nice sunny day for fishing today!
TFTC youngoldfella - Nice to be finding more of your good caches again!

Out maintaining and checking today and of course finding some of the recent hides in the area. All good. have FUN.
We have talked about spending a few days in Bundaberg so with the event being organized here it seemed like a good time. Bought the caravan along and parked at the caravan park near the river in the middle of town. A great base to do geocaching and this was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to youngoldfella for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
On my way to Bundy for the event on Sunday, just had to find a few on the way.
Having camp for the night @ Meddowvale Nature in the car park, with no one else around, time to set off for todays adventure, north side of the river
Caught up with Liz and Bruce who had passed me at the previous cache Haven't had the pleasure of their company since the New Year event @ Widgee
An easy find, with Bruce doing the honours. Decided to skip a couple so as to chat with L&B a little more.
All is now with the cache

Out to get my 3 Million Cache Souvenir!
Here I am at my final destination, the end of the road, the dead end.....
No, I'm not being morbid but this was to be the last stop on the road through North Bundaberg and Fairymead grabbing the smileys I have been thinking about for a long time. A small bit of background information that is not poignant to the cache, my partner had a grandfather named William Cowley who work on the ferry for many years until it closed from floods carrying it off and damaging the structures in place, when this occurred he retired. William has passed away recently and my wife and I are planning on trying to place a geocache in his memory on the other side of the river when the current work over there has been completed.
I drove right to the end of the road and it was pretty quiet with only a muggle father and son fishing down the river bank a little, there was a few watercraft out on the river but it was relatively peaceful and relaxing. I grabbed the phone, Boh as well as my pen and headed towards GZ to find the cache in this wonderful spot. The ditch was a little wet but I jumped spritely over it and headed to the aptly name hide making it a little easy and had the cache in hand. After signing the log book it was time for a few more photos before heading home, so we spent a little while just to keep out of the house and enjoy the scenery.
Thanks for your caches up this way. Even though I have lived in Bundaberg for quite some time I have never ventured out to this area before.

TFTC Youngoldfella. out and about today, chasing trackables for an upcoming trip across the ditch. School Yard Whistler is off on an adventure.
Nice drive and good to see things around here and got signed and return same place TFTC
Camped in Bargara, out for a tourist day on the Bundy Queen. What a beautiful way to spend the morning. Was taken by some of the homes on the northern side of the river, so on our return to the wharf, and after a subway lunch, went for a drive out on Fairymead Road, picking up caches on the way back. We saw this "end of road" from the boat. Mr D found the cache. Thanks YOF
Could be a beautiful to watch the boat if some shades areas were available. Given the heat of the day I didn't dawdle ....log signed it was back into the aircon. Cache found dry and in good condition. Thanks
Oh there was a few moments that I could see Geo Dad looking a bit muddy......thank goodness tide was out & no chance of going for a swim
Found after a short wade across the ditch. Just past a full-moon king tide so plenty of water around. Cache is in perfect condition. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Had a bit of a fish at the end of the road without much luck today. Made the find on the way out. TFTC
Up in the area maintaining some of my hides and replacing some containers. I replaced the container with one more appropriate to the location.
Yippeee doing the happy dance, ftf with our homeschooling friends. Great hiding spot, was hard to get the log out due to the plastic description paper stuck in container
