Unfortunately this one seems to have flown away. It was a one-off container so not replacing.
Think I found the stump, but could not find the cache. May be too well camouflaged
Its Queens Birthday Weekend so we are off caching for the long weekend. Todays route took us from Motueka through the Rai Valley to Blenheim. We had just come from a DNF and looking at the hint I sighed - not again. but we had much better luck here and Mum was onto this one quite quickly due to a flash of colour. Theres room for only 1 more name on the log. Nice camo. Thanks for placing this cache here for everyone else's enjoyment.
Hi sideways. I found it but log seems to be missing. I took a photo of our he creature that inhabits nearby if needed. Got very wet but at least no muggles here
A quick find and nice walk up the beach, we'd come out to do the Earth Cache but with the recent storms access was a little tricky, several caches were tried but coastline caches and storms are not a good mix. This one was all safe and sound though, TFTC
A lot of damage along the nearby coast line but this cache is well placed inland enough to have escaped. Spotted the cache from a distance which took a little effort to reach because of the ever present blackberry. All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Sidewaze.
Cool cache, Mr HG was impressed. Took a bit to get to it with a lot of storm debri around. Tftc
As is sometimes the way I took the hard way in and the easy way out. No lasting damage done though. Nice cache. TFTC
Nice one. Took a while to zero in, but nice spotted there is no doubt you are on the right track! Tftc.
Taybeedragon and I are in the Nelson region collecting multis - I need one each day for a multi-cache streak challenge I am aiming for. Today is day 10, challenge requirements complete YAY!. And as we are still here, let's do some more!
Taking the slow way home, via Kina Peninsula.
Left Zara in a little bay a hundred metres past the cache and walked across to the beach. Walking back up the road was the more obvious route, but frankly, boring. The sea route was a much better idea. Lots of awesome skimming stones, but the water was not flat enough to try it.
Looks like others have come this way as there was a geotrail in and finding the little green monster was a snap. Walked back to Zara via the road. Well, we've already done the beach!

The Seagnoid needs a couple of multis this weekend. Its early Saturday morning and we are off for another adventure to Tasman, with The Seagnoid and Zara. Its another early start in the dark on Sunday morning collecting info for some multies. Then visiting The Seagnoids Dad for lunch, before starting for home, the long way round.
Leave Zara in a little parking bay along this one way road. Venture out to and along the beach before following the trail into the wilderness. Critters galore her with one showing all his glory. Snagged and tagged. And what do you know the road is just over there a couple of meters so returned to Zara via the road. Cheers

Another quick find, loved the cache camo. Could hear the buzzing of plenty of insects here, but only saw a couple of bumblebees, and thankfully nothing more sinister. TFTC Sidewaze.
Sunday was the second day over the hill for us this weekend. Today's target area was around Mapua, and the crew today was Jo, Capperz and Ricardinho, with most logs being signed RiCaJo, or something similar. Nelson turned on the weather, and some good caches were found and we bumped into a few cachers on our travels as well. TF all the caches to the COs.

Parked at the small gap by the road and headed down onto the beach. What an awesome place, great views and almost a castaway feel, except for the nearby firewood 4x4s parked up and chatting contemplating what washed up tree to chop up I suppose. Soon arrived at G Z and located the cache, all good here and replaced as found.
Another weekend day with a Geocaching theme planned; a trip (back) over the hill (again) and head out to Mapua Bay to get the Earthcache out there as well as 'one or two' other options. We left Blenheim at around 730 and returned just after 7 so a good day out was had by all, with the Tasman weather at its best yet again. Caching crew was me, ricardinho.nz and Jojo74 and between us we navigated, found and travelled the roads, and beaches, of Ruby Bay grabbing caches as we went. Logs were signed in various combinations of Ri/Jo/Ca. We also came across a few other cachers; Wellwishers near Marriages Road, 'Snook' (I think) in Mapua athletic park, and a pre-arranged meet up with the good guy that is mr gdguys at Hoddy Estuary park.
A few more for the totals and some more yellow smiley conversion completed over that region of NZ, catching up with Wanganui/Manawatu again.

Took the family out for mother's day. My five year old went bush with me to find this treasure. Thanks for the hide
Nice to have the opportunity to return to this beautiful area. My little pooch seemed to enjoy the stroll along the beach but distractions on the way meant it took me a lot longer to arrive at GZ than it should have. But hey, who's in a rush. Not me on a beautiful day like this!! Oh and the cache gets a fav too Sidewaze. Thank you!!
Found on our Family bike ride along the great taste cycle trail between Mapua & Tasman. Today, I found 15 geocaches, which is a personal best for me & I also cycled past some lovely places & found some geocaches as well along the way. This cache was good enough to take back to the car. Found while driving around Kina. Makes 15 geocache today. Find #286
Out and about to find a few today with Ms M.
Nice container and guardian.
Glad that the blackberry is remaining below ankle height for now

Came out Christmas afternoon and we're delighted to make this find. A great hide. It's good to find something a little different. TFTC Sidewaze. This get a favourite from us.
My fourth of four this morning and one to raise a smile. Taking the direct route from the beach back to the road paid dividends as I hit the GZ with the minimum of fuss, and with just a bit of bushbashing.
A few hint objects around, but I guessed lucky, and even the natives didn't mind me poking around to grab the cache.
Thanks

I walked along the beach but picked a tricky way up to the cache, climbing over branches. It was a lot easier walking back through the trees to the road. Cool container. Thanks Sidewaze

Liked the container. The Kina caches were the main reason for coming over here
A nice place to walk around , we really enjoyed this cache , worth a favourite. Thanks Sidewaze.
Arrived at GZ and GPS led us straight to the cache.
Clever hide
Thank you Sidewaze for the cache.

Happy we still had our bike helmets on - lots of bees around - very cleaver cache in a nice area.
I suspect we took the same approach as bumandworker and walked less than a minute from the car. I could hear the buzzing mentioned on the cache page but didn't see any bees of any kind.
The new co-ords read under 1m at GZ so I consider that perfect! A nice container.
Thank you Sidewaze.

The updated coords were perfect. After work we went for a cruise and did it the lazy way. A very short walk to GZ then a bit of a surprise but the log was soon spotted. Nice one! Thank you Sidewaze

I had a bit of spare time (and a stuffed laptop) this afternoon so headed out to find a couple of caches. This was my second attempt at this one and this time I approached from the beach side and once I got close I keyed in bumandworker's coordinates and these took me straight to the cache. I exited via the road and headed back to my car which I'd parked nearby. Well done to those who found this cache using the published coordinates. TFTC,Biggles.

Well, reading logs, I must have been rather lucky. Walked straight to it, less than a minute from the car and log was signed.
Cache would appeal to those whom the container is part of the experience.
Great spot to return to time and again.
Thanks a lot Sidewaze.

I had been for a quick look yesterday while I was out here with no luck, but returned this afternoon to follow previous logs to this cache and sit on the beach for a bit. I came from the road end and like others I parked at the fork and walked back, but after finding I wonder if entry from the beach is easier. After checking out several other hint objects I noticed something unusual atop. Lifted and with a bit of a fright realised I had found the right spot!
Love the decoration and this is just the right place. I hope it remains here or close by, great area and this cache somewhat completes a short walk circuit of the 3 caches down this end of the beach.
Thanks very much!

Thanks for the heads up - thought I better get over to try and find it as I'm not sure what the result of the further thinking will be. I wouldn't normally come here on a grey overcast day but it was really neat with low fog covering the peninsular. Parked and walked along the beach before heading in for a bush bash. Got to the suggested 28 metres and found myself standing at two hint objects with one of them looking a little unusual. And there it was - all over a bit too quickly really. Kudos to the first and second finders for their perseverance and thanks for the helpful logs. I think the Hideout is fine. TFTC Sidewaze #9139
Out for a few new caches with Kiwi Grandad and Ellie this morning. We followed the instructions rather than the coordinates and after checking a number of places thought we were beat. Time for a PAF? Yes but before they had responded we had read things again and found the cache. A cool hide. +1 for that and the nice area the cache is in. Took the beach option to return to the car.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

Found while out with KE, this one took a bit to locate, nice cache once found. TFTC
Another nice day to take a drive out to Kina to try to find a few new caches. But my luck ran out here. My GPS (and phone) zero'd out on the road. I noticed a few hint features nearby. Some of them showed signs of very vigorous searching. Not sure if that might have dislodged the cache or not? I searched what I could find within about 15m radius of where I zero'd out with no joy. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be back before too long.
Like BigglesNZ, we too had our GPS zero out on the road and noticed a lot of disturbance in the general area looking for the cache. After exhausting all possibilities and then some, we drove up the road and parked where the CO had started from and backed tracked on the cache description. After about 10 minutes we stumbled on the cache and got the [FTF]. GPS did put us est 28 m from co-ords. While the hunt was a bit of a long one, the cache decoration made up for it.
We are not sure that we would have found it if we had been looking this morning. We followed the instructions in the listing and ended up by the road. Then we read the logs and stopped looking where we were and backtracked. At about 20m we started looking and we must have followed a similar path to the FTFers as about 8 m on we found a hint item that contained a cache. Enjoyed the container as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Just a heads up that I'm going to rethink this one after the weekend. It will still be there until the end of Sunday if you want to check it out but it will move at some stage after that.
