We came here on our way to visit the GeoKids, Nan, and this was a no find for us. Three sets of eyes searching where we knew it should be, but such luck.
It’s road trip time. With plenty of places out east that have yet to be explored, OzHockeyChick and I set off to see some sights in Gippsland.
This was a DNF from a previous visit which I was keen to redeem since it has been replaced.
Given it was later than planned, we ordered pizza nearby and came to have a look. The assumption that workers would be long gone was incorrect as one came out for their smoke break as soon as we arrived.
The hint I had been given from a previous finder last time we couldn’t find it had put us on the wrong path. We reset and began looking where the GPS suggested and with a little nudge from a recent finder, the log was soon signed. The cache no longer has anything to hold it in place so it is resting precariously in its spot.
Thanks Poiter.h for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

sorry for late log, missed this one.
A lovely tribute but sad story. Would never have known about this if it wasn’t for geocaching. Tftc Poiter.h
The journey to retrieve cache was epic and even more so to return it. My goodness. We sat there for ages watching the relentless stream of smokers, trying to get a break. Yay, dashed and made a lucky quick find. But then another shift descended. Yikes now what?. Eventually Tiz acted as decoy and I was able to return the cache.

Nice quick multi. Just the way I like them. Had found the original years ago. Thanks Pete
YAY - finally found the mega mini after my caching buddy saw it from an odd vantage spot. Thanks for the challenge Pete.
Could not find after 40mins of looking. Learning the history was super interesting though
Out exploring. Having a great day. This took some finding. Not where we expected..

out and about for the weekend in Traralgon with Honeysucker and The Book Hawkwe stopped off for this cache when the rain stopped in between..lol, after a quick call and a look in all the right spots the cache was found.

Finally got to tick this one of the list today after initially attending mid week paying my respects and working out the Coordinates to GZ. Those smokers didn't want to go back to work...I walked around town that day and even later returned with some out of towners who bizarrely stopped to ask if I knew where this grave was ..."well yes yes I do" I replied having only discovered it myself that morning...maybe I have missed my calling as a tour guide..I proceeded to walk the pair and their pup to the grave..yep smokers were still their grr.
Part 2 I returned early on Sunday morning ....NO smokers but little did I know this was where the fun was to begin as I clambered up and town around GZ to try and locate this mega mini cache....20 minutes later bingo....log replaced as found. Log signed TC in purple pen.

I have replaced the cache.
I have also given the final a nudge to protect the cache a bit better.
I have redone the math, it has not changed it very much at all.
Happy Geocaching

Searched everywhere but was unable to come up with the goods today. Even visiting with a previous finders and a PAF did not result in the cache
Well persistence paid off, after a couple of looks previously, today I managed to spot something that proved to be successful. Was lucky in more ways that one as there was a break between the smokers.

An unexpected object greeted us at the start location. After doing some sums, we headed to GZ and started, what was to become, a very lengthy search. We looked and looked and looked. We were very close to giving up when something caught our eye from a rather odd vantage point.
That is a very tricky one.
Thanks Poiter.h for the interesting story and the challenging hide.
Chiefton!!!

Have solved the coords looked twice and still not able to find this little sucker ! With Rogerz1956
Finally laid my hands on this one, my last two tries there were smokers at GZ. I remember doing another Multi hear many years ago. TFTC
Interesting story. A city built around an old hidden grave. Smokers were coming and going constantly for 20 minutes so I just went in when there was only one and explained what I was doing lol
This was a frustrating little cache that I needed to complete the Morwell located 20 Gippsland multicache challenge (as I had 19 and had physically found this 20 Multi-cache Challenge cache this morning), so was unable to log it until finding a 20th. Then I could also add one more cache to the last stage of the Mystery at the Museum last stage of finding 35 caches.
After looking for a long time, needed some hints (PAF) to finally track this one down.

Our third time here, but today was the first time we got to look for the cache, as there are so many smokers congregate on their breaks in this area, you really need to pick your time to look. Most start work at 9.00 a.m. so after that is a good time, but we managed to get there earlier, which was good.
A quick find which really surprised me, so we can happily say "Thanks for the cache". Thanks Poiter.h for the placement here, a sad story with this grave.

What a surprise to find this here although we all thought it great that it hadn't been demolished or moved. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Not what we expected. It took the second visit today before we had the cache to hand. A sneaky hide.
Today was the day. New family member day for OHC. This meant a road trip. One that would, of course, involve some caches. Obviously this is one that we found, on what shall forever be known in my head as “Flufflepuff’s adoption day”. Disclaimer: the names mentioned may not be the true, agreed upon name, but rather names I feel are suitable... We needed a PAF for this one, as our calculations had us a fair way from GZ, in a blocked off area. Soon, however, with some assistance we made the tricky find. Thanks for placing the cache Poiter.h.
Found by Mary and David at 13:20:00. Success this time, after a DNF in August 2017. With a grave site involved, you know this one gets a FP. So sad, but that was a frequent result back then. A pity there is so much rubbish over the grave. Our thanks to Poiter.h.
What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

**# 20429** Found on a drive to Traralgon while staying nearby.
Lots of muggles around today and a good variety of hides again.
Our 2nd go at this one and a better result this time. Got it. More like a D3 I think.
See Ski Pair's log for the full details.
Thanks for the cache Poiter.h,

After caching the ATOH Trail in Traralgon over a week ago we took the opportunity to head out to Traralgon again today. We had a few things to do around town and there were some caches we had not got to on the last trip.
After organizing some new tyres for the car ( a very expensive diversion!), we headed off nearby to this one. We had visited on our earlier visit but came up empty handed on that occasion, but we knew our final coordinates were in the correct place so we headed straight there.
There were two muggles having a smoke there during their break from the shops nearby and they immediately asked us if we were looking for the geocache! So being honest fellows we responded with, "Yes, do you know where it is?"
They responded with a no, but added that people were always coming there looking for it!
One left and Mr SKI kept the other busy in conversation, and Roost quickly found the cache while she was distracted.
She was quite curious, so we showed it to her and the log with a short explanation, but did not replace it until she had left.
Good to get another DNF off the map.

Back to Traralgon for continuation of our previous visit this time we had a little bit better success with 4 finds and 1 DNF really not sure why we are haveing so many DNFs lately but that is the way of the game.
Thanks Poiter.h for placing this cache and showing us some unusal history in the process however today it was not to be a smilie for us.
Grand Cache count = 902 total consisting of 815 Traditionals, 26 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 2 Letterbox.

Our first call here was a week ago - no luck the calculated co'ords took us to a logical place, which matched the hint. Alas, just like maccamob - no cache!
During the week, we made contact with the CO who very graciously pointed us in the right direction. Today we were able to add our name to the log, although with a strong feeling we could be on private property.
Thanks Poiter.h an interesting snippet of local history.

Out caching with gwd.aussie and d@geo and called in here hoping no muggles around today. 2nd time luckily.
Thanks Poiter.h
Thanks Poiter.h
I have previously visited this site for another cache however that cache has been archived and replaced with this multi.
Today I was out caching with gwd.aussie and sqau and called in hoping to find the area clear of muggles. After a search of where we thought the cache was we rechecked the sums. Widening the search I saw something but being vertically challenged I was unsure and had to call over one of my fellow cacher. Thankfully that was it and we had the cache in hand.
Thanks Poiter.h

Beautiful little tribute to this little girl. Thanks for bringing us here. This one is much more difficult than the description said. We were here for at least an hour and a half looking in the complete wrong place. It was a Sunday and worker from the building next door came out and asked us if we were "looking for the geocache". She explained that they had often seen people out here looking forward and hadn't ever found it. She helped us look for about 10min and then went back to work and wished us good luck. Frustrated, I messaged a previous finder who pushed us in the right direction. It still wasn't easy. Finally we had about hands on the cache. Thank goddess! TFTC favourite point for me.
Wish I was just that little bit taller. This took a lot of jump and climb. Found with kryslazz.. TFTC
Out and about enjoying some winter sunshine, dodging rain clouds and finding some caches today.
We enjoy caching and interesting walks, so this was really enjoyable along our walk. Rob can remember this grave from his childhood days, under a big oak tree, as part of the railway yards. Amazing bit of history. Thanks for highlighting this location for us to respect. Fav point from us.

Not sure about our history here. The grave site looked very familiar, but we have no record of any previous logs on the cache. Calculated our new GZ and moved the short distance in that direction. David is not considered vertically challenged, but was unable to find anything within reach, either there or nearby. Our thanks anyway to Poiter.h.
Lucky I am not vertically challenged at all. A previous log was useful. Thanks for the tiny cache.
2nd time been here. Not as many smoking muggles today which gave us a chance to look.
Have had the co-ords for this one for quite awhile but hadn't made it here yet. Not an easy find for the physically challenged people like myself but, thanks to the CO for a little assistance in that direction. Found with misschief18 and Bentley TB

This was a very unexpected historic monument to stumble upon being completely surrounded by concrete and commercial interests. sedgwickDave and I quickly gathered the info and began the search. And we searched and searched. We struggled with the search and we even struggled with the clue - which, in retrospect, makes perfect sense!
But persistence paid off, and the cache was discovered. However, when we went to sign in it was apparent we'd found the original cache rather than the recent replacement.
sedgwickDave and I exchanged a moment of confusion as we tried to piece it all together. It pretty much summed up our entire day which had been very successful but kept us on our toes with numerous twists and detours.
We signed in and replaced the cache as found.
Thanks so much Pointer.h for bringing us to this 'off-Broadway' piece of history

After grabbing some dinner nearby before making the run for home myself and The Welder grab a cache or too in town. This being a short multi was quickly calculated but the hunt too awhile with the grid expanded after checking out an initial spot along the fence. Has the previous logs were refer too during the hunt due to difficulty. We believe we ended up finding the so called "archive" cache as the log had entries from August 2016, with this cache published in September. We sign this log and assume it is OK to log this as "Found" as permission was granted for the first to find case, a little confusing but an enjoyable hunt in the end with a sneaky hide.

I saw the notification of this new cache early this morning but didn't expect to get a chance to go find it until much later today, and thus assumed the FTF would be gone and no hurry ensued. Then I saw that there were 50+ new puzzles in the dinosaur at Pakenham South - Kato Potato and I spent a few hours hanging out solving some of these together while the dads looked after our kids around us. Kato and I decided to stop by this one on our way home, surprised that there still weren't any found logs, and were shocked that as we arrived, there's still smokers there. It's not a work day you ferals, go puff in your own space. Regardless, my guess as to the final location of the multi was correct and Kato utilised a pen to assist in accessing the cache....which rolled under a nearby vehicle. The cache was retrieved, signed and replaced. TFTC Poiter.h.

Attempted to hunt this one down for the FTF, but no luck. Had a good look around the spot where the solved coordinates, but after considering that the grave coordinates were out on my GPS we decided to expand the search to a nearby area, but then some muggles appeared from the neighboring building for a smoko. We had to abandon the search. Try again another day.
*** FTF*** joint with Mummy Short Legs. We couldn't believe that this one hadn't been found yet with so many local cachers around. So after a fun afternoon of puzzle solving we decided to detour via here on the way to dropping MSL home. The rain held off for us however there were the inevitable smoking muggles around the nearby dumpster despite it being a Sunday. So we decided to do the maths from the car then make a leisurely walk to where we suspected the cache to be, luckily out of sight from prying eyes. We jumped around a bit and scanned the area then, just as I spotted a handy clue MSL spotted the container. A few more leaps for joy resulting in a container being flicked under a nearby car (whoops) before we got to the log! Alas, the log was full of names already! We quickly figured out that this must be the recycled container from the recently archived cache in the same area and a quick msg to the CO confirmed that we could claim FTF on this one. So despite my disappointment of having missed the last cache in the area I'm very happy to add this one to the list. Thanks Poiter for keeping the cache alive!
