No response from owner in last 28 days.
I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

Will we ever find this?

Day 15. Trip from Bright in Victoria to Brisbane, Queensland can be rather boring, so we cache as we go. We have left Lithgow, and are now on our way to Goulburne National Park and are trying to keep our current streak alive. Once we get into the national park, we will lose internet for a few days.

I see that the CO has disabled the cache until he can get there to check it out, so I sent him a message offering to help, but needed a further clue to assist us in really checking it out. To date (which is actually the 15th March, I have had no reply.

We did however, spend another 30 minutes clearing cobwebs and disturbing ants in an effort to locate the cache to no avail.

Obviously the CO thinks it might be a good game to hide someyhing that cannot be found. Good luck to other cachers who attempt this elusive micro.

I came just on dark.....

I looked for an hour....

I left empty handed....

Lots of spiderwebs had to be removed to facilitate the searching process though.

I will return again another day

This was the 25th cache by this owner I searched for this weekend. Only the second DNF. I have tried begging for a clue but I will just have to keep searching!?!

01-Oct-18
I had found 28 of the owner’s caches this weekend. Would I use that karma to find this ine?

Nope!!!

08-Jul-18
Was camped here with six other mates for the night. They thought I was crazy, but I got them all looking.Had all night to find sneaky little bugger. After an hour or so we turned it up.No other names on log. First to find it.For future searchers think Darth Vader. Thanks!

05-Apr-18
Time for a check I think - we were camped nearby so we could have a couple of goes.

05-Apr-18
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

03-Apr-18
Stopped in for an overnight camp on the way back from Tullamore - add me to the list of DNFs.
Lovely spot though.

02-Apr-18
On our way back to Bright after the Mega in Lake Mac. Mr D is unrelentness in his driving and did not give me much opportunity to find any caches. The only one we would have picked up was at Wisemans Ferry, but there was no available parking for a caravan.
So, here we are at this pretty park for an over night stay, and bingo, there is a cache to boot. After reading the logs, really thought there was little chance of turning it around, but as I needed a few more D5s under my belt, gave it our best. After one hour, gave up. Just like the skit at cachers got talent " nanos on guns" we tried from all angles, the train is now cleansed of all cobwebs. Next time will attempt to pull apart, piece by piece until i have the nano! May try again tomorrow morning before we move on, maybe not.

20-Mar-18
Today our aim was to pick up a few more off our Joshwa27 list as we travelled west from home. The only one we did not find was this one. We had an hour to spare and decided to have a look for this cache. We approached it with great hope but not with any great expectation of finding it. When we did not succeed we were still disappointed but not surprised. Thanks to Joshwa27 for the challenge of a 5 difficulty hide.

16-Mar-18
18 months Unfound.

Do you plan on adding a hint?

18-Feb-18
4 of us ventured to do some Canyoning in Newness and decided to stay the night and try to find this most elusive of caches. We spent a good couple of hours sifting through and disassembling the train as much as we could with the tools at our disposal, but alas we could not find the container.
When the sun started to heat up the area we decided to call it quits and moved on to make some finds elsewhere.

16-Feb-18
Is it still there?

13-Feb-18
no sign of the cache , moved onward

05-Feb-18
Day 1 of a Father and Son Road Trip for his 18th.

What better way to start a road trip than with a DNF?!? This was always going to be the case here!

I shall return, again.

04-Feb-18
We had a look for the heck of it in case we got lucky. We didn't. Next time !

06-Jan-18
Another dnf to add to the colection

27-Dec-17
Very tricky if still there

04-Nov-17
I went for a drive today and five previous DNFs. Would I make it six? Nope.

13-Oct-17
Out with JJCC on a caching run to Lithgow and beyond. After completing some early morning chores in Richmond, we headed up the mountains for our eighth cache of the day....but have to log a DNF instead.

The team spent over an hour and a half searching, but alas no find today. There are just so many possibilities here and the GPSr wasn't really helping the situation either. With no specific hints or assistance coming from the CO, we feel this one could go unfound for quite some time...which is a shame as it is a great location. Hopefully people want get put off with all the DNFs and come for a visit anyway.

Thanks for the hunt Joshwa27

30-Sep-17
It kinda sucks when you can't find a cache.. so close to home..
You win this time Joshwa!! ..

23-Sep-17
I was driving past, I had time, why not waste some here!?!

16-Sep-17
Now this has gone a year unfound is it worth giving a clue?

16-Sep-17
Four of us and no find.... we all agree with team canary.. so much space and plenty of worthwhile places for caches that can be found... extremely disappointing

06-Aug-17
Five of came to this park and enjoyed our lunch.

But an hour and a half later when we all left the park with this cache unfound we all wondered why someone would want to hide a cache that no one could find!?!

And then to not reply to messages or requests for help!?!

A shame as this park deserves a visit as it is lovely and you can free camp here for up to two nights.

06-Aug-17
No luck, even with myself, TC and The Hancock Clan working as a team.

30-Jul-17
On the Road Less Traveled series (and surrounding countryside) with Steeba.

Sadly, despite our best efforts, we could not turn up anything here today.

Cheers

17-Jul-17
Didn't spent too long here as it was getting quite cold as the sun was going down. Another addition to the DNF list.

10-Jul-17
"Bring a picnic and enjoy the area, and find the other caches in Wallerawang." - because you won't find this one! Smile
This very cool machine is getting a good clean and polish by cachers fingers, not that many spiders webs left now it seems. Gee some of those parts on the control surfaces look like nanos! I tried to wrench a few off but no luck. For a minute I thought I was on to the find of the year when something started unscrewing, but no find.

08-Jul-17
Spent a good hour looking high & low on hands & knees even resorted to kiddy train just in case but to no avail.

28-May-17
Smile I found it. Smile Well the location anyway and another cache hidden here along time ago. As it was later in the day and a few showers had passed through I had the place to my self for the good part of an hour or so (who counting). Really enjoyed the challenge of this one. Even for me I must leave it defeated. Thanks for fun hunt and I hope this one trains others to be patient and enjoy the hunt, or just put on your ignore bookmark list, this way it will not show up on your home page. Smile
JABs.

25-May-17
Spent 15 minutes searching. Some muggles nearby caused us to stop. Too well hidden for us. Thanks anyway.

02-May-17
Checked on way thru. Still in place.

30-Apr-17
I think I found where it is updated to be.

30-Apr-17
Have advised owner

29-Apr-17
Looked all over the mining train and kiddies train, no luck at all.

20-Apr-17
Not found with BillHill531 and my eldest, while on a somewhat impromptu camping trip to the blue mountains to find some scenic adventures and a very rare placed month. Lots of high terrain caches and fun to match.
This was hopeful and optimistic at best. We had a pretty good look, but obviously missed it. My son loved the playground and could have stayed longer, but we needed to pack up the tent and drive home.

19-Feb-17
Is it still there

28-Jan-17
Well we were advised of a FTF awaiting here so came for a drive to check it out.
Well we didn't even get out of the car as there were just way too many people here today.
Have never been down here before and we will be back. Let's hope the FTF is still waiting for us.

27-Jan-17
Where could it be

27-Jan-17
Think we need a better hint

12-Jan-17
Checked on this one a few weeks back. Still there. Thought I had already enabled it. Can't see how a muggle could ever find it. Please don't ask me to check again. It is a five star difficulty and is meant to be difficult. Please don't ask for hints because offence may be taken when refused. If you can't find my Forest Elbow cache, then you probably won't be able to find this one. Good luck everyone, you'll need it.

11-Jan-17
Another month later and still no maintenance.

Is this coming back?

If not it needs to go.

11-Dec-16
I had an old download on my GPS and wasted over half an hour here with a group looking while my dog ran in the off leash area.

I expected a long search, but is it still there? I notice you were going to check two weeks ago.

24-Nov-16
Is it still there no one has found it.

24-Nov-16

25-Oct-16
Could not find this geocache

24-Oct-16
DNF. On our way from Katoomba to Wagga Wagga we stopped and searched. Hoped for our FTF in Australia, but no luck this time. Didn't want to put our hands in all those dirty holes.

24-Oct-16
All good here

22-Oct-16
Just a quick question is it still there

18-Oct-16
Wahou super hard. Never find

11-Oct-16
Thanks mate I am always trying to find must be very hard cheers

10-Oct-16
Cache still in place. It is meant to be very difficult. Don't bother looking if you are in a hurry. Cheers

09-Oct-16
Don't think it is there

29-Sep-16
Unfortunately a dnf. Hit it at 7 in the morning in the drizzle. Hands went numb with the coldness and rain, after massaging that train for half an hour. There is an identical train in main Street lithgow, which also has been a nemesis for me. Thanks any way
