It took a few attempts before w in good condition. We finally found it 7m from the published coordinates in an obvious hide location. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks minniek for the cache.
Reperio 09:40The fourth and final day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn regions, and with a little time before needing to head home, I hit up some of the ones closer to town. While the fog was thick this morning, it soon lifted and it was fantastic to have some beautiful sunshine after 2-3 days of rain. With not a lot of movement around town this morning, most of the caches were found muggle free. A great day to be out caching. Gratias minniekAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Found 27/08/24. Plenty of trash around, but doesnt affect the cache. GPS was off by a few meters, reading the log helps.
Adelaide to Brisbane the long way.Day Five: Goulburn to Newcastle.Weather: cool but sunny, just the way I like it. After starting the day in Goulburn, Ive now done the drive out to Woodhouselee and Roslyn to mine the rich vein of letterbox caches, plus any trads that got in the way. Im intrigued by all the letterboxes - is this some sort of project between the locals? In any case, Im not complaining.I didnt want to linger too long here in case any of the passing traffic thought it was me that was doing the dumping. Why do people do this? Thanks for the cache minniek.
The best part of today's caching was being in the car and out of the wind! But we did have to get out to make some finds with goingplaces2. All good with this one. TFTC.
The day's weather was a real mixed bag. Sometimes overcast, sometimes raining and sometimes sunny - but always with the ever present very cold and strong, blustery wind. We still managed to get some caches with ilook4geo and signed the logs. Thanks go to minniek for this cache placement.

Day 4 of a 4 day geocaching bender for Team Doodads (Garbageman and 2 geokids). Today we started in Goulburn, pulled a loop through Crookwell, and headed home to Newcastle via the Southern Highlands. A 70 cache day, which was a fair effort for two quite tired kids.
This was a quick park and grab but we did look at the wrong spot first! TNLN TFTC

I needed to find a virtual in May for a challenge cache in SA. The nearest one was in Crookwell. I then learned AngelG27 and SpecimenX were headed that way too, so we teamed up for the road trip via Goulburn. The main objective in Goulburn was the Goulburn's graveyards Adventure Lab. Once that was completed we headed for Crookwell. This one took a few minutes to unearth - we assumed it was somewhere else. TFTC.

Teamed up with AngelG27 and TikvaNZ for a fun day out to clean up some caches in Collector, Goulburn and Crookwell as well as a few others on the way
Yes-we always like a diversion especially when there's a cache involved! BUT... were diverted by AngelG27 as she thought the cache was somewhere else so we searched there [:o)]. I feared we would DNF but we focused our search else elsewhere and came up with the find
Thanks for the hide, minniek

We based ourselves in quaint Binda last night and apart from a horrific storm which inncluded hail (not happy with dents in car) it proved to be a good base for many of the geocaches in the area. The countryside is looking awesome and we enjoyed the rural location, wonderful views and history. Thanks to minniek for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

OCW Stumble's Mate and her new crutches, we quickly did the park and grab. TFTC! Good to see some more geocaches out this way.
The Stumble's had a planned day to cache in Goulburn to knock over the Mystery at the Museum series. The day started out well until we got to the 4th cache then disaster struck - yet again, caching has claimed my right knee however, this time there is no spectacular story to go with it. All I did was crouch down, moved slightly to my left and pop! That was it. Spent the next 3hrs in emergency before we continued on. Despite this little hiccup, we did manage 13 finds for the day.
Thanks to the CO for the hides - only wish we found more! All caches were in good condition and fairly quick to locate.

While staying in Goulburn on our travels we travelled to Crookwell and back. Approached GZ and found cache, signed log and replaced. Due to the number of caches found, I am doing a generic log. Thank you to CO's for placing these caches in their locations - it was fantastic to visit this area. TFTC
In Goulburn for a few days and this afternoon we decided to head out to Crookwell to find a few caches and as an extra bonus a couple of FTFs. Thanks to the COs - we learnt so much about the area.
We found this cache soon enough on having arrived at Ground Zero. We signed the very full log book at the top of the first page and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Thanks

This was our last cache of 66 for today. It was late and it was getting extremely cold. If we continued we would need a torch at the next cache. Unfortunately for us, being tired, this was not at the obvious spot we anticipated. I had to widen my search by a bit before I came across the cache in a place commonly used for cache hides. Thanks
Needing a concentrated area to tick off enough smileys to make a dent in the Mythical Creatures challenge, k.e-a26 joined me for a “quick” run around Goulburn, Taralga and Crookwell. Sun shining, wind icy but enough PnGs and by nightfall we had ticked off 50 finds. Having ticked off enough to gain my turtle souvenir, chose the return road with less tempting stops as the sun was quickly beginning to set. This was enough of a diversion as we wanted. Co-ords initially indicated an obvious hide that could leave the gps in the car but needed to expand the search a few metres to another good option for an unexpected container.
Dang - my second and final DNF for the day. Certainly this one was not in the obvious spot. I did expand my search, but still a DNF.... Maybe next time.

After spending the morning in Goulburn on business we thought we needed a diversion so we took the afternoon off to see the countryside in sheep country. This was our first stop. It took us a few moments to gain our bearings but soon found the cache. Thanks.
Out around Taralga for the day caching along the way, all smilies and not one missed. Thank you to all COs for placing caches in our path today.
Cache in good order, gps jumping maybe due to weather, cache found using sight and geosenses.

This year (2018) I have been trying to get more caches to boost my total finds. This weekend I decided to do all the caches from Goulburn to Taralga to Laggan to Crookwell to Wayo to Goulburn. Sadly I was going to do this trip on the Saturday but Geowife (Blueiris) was feeling unwell and I stayed home to look after her. Today 21/1/2018 she was feeling better so we headed out to complete the previous day’s plans. I wanted to try and get 69 caches in total. I left home at 0630 and headed to Goulburn for a lovely McDonalds breakfast before starting the massive caching day. The first cache of the day was GC74HCZ, a quick find and almost all the finds for the day were quick. I wanted to set a fast pace of approximately 8 minutes per cache including driving time. I am happy to let everyone know that I got a total of 72 caches for the day in 12 hours exactly. Not a bad effort at all if you ask me. The wildlife along the trip was fantastic. The animals that I spotted consisted of Wombats, Kangaroos, Wallabies, various Lizards, Spiders and so many bird species that I could not possibly name then all. The first part of the trip was also done in thick smoke from the Taralga Fire. This fire has burnt about 960 hectares (about 2372 acres). The bushfire was burning about eight Kms to the north-east of Taralga and north of Bannaby Road area. It was burning through bush and grassland in a south-westerly direction. Fire crews from Taralga were fighting the fire with additional crews from Marulan and Bungonia joining in to help. These crews consisted of 77 fire fighters supported by numerous aircraft and heavy machinery. Smoke from the fire could be seen from up to 200kms away. Anyway enough chit chat, thanks for the cache and for making my caching experience today so much more fun. Please keep up the good work by putting out more caches. Sorry for the generic logs but with so many caches found in one day it is impossible to put private logs for them all.
Day Two around Goulburn. Quick find. Love the container, very clever. Coords are a little off but didn’t matter.

Nearly back to Goulburn after doing the Taralga Trek series and it was nice to pick up a few caches along the way as sign posts. Had to go to the 1st Choice liquor store to pick up a bottle of Rosso vermouth as I promised Grub Fred to make him a Manhattan when we got back to the Wingello camp.
Thanks minniek.

The second day of the year has seen us do a run to crookwell and on the way we managed to find a previous DNF (only one of our own failures) add 2 more DNFs and found a total of 19 traditionals this being number 4 for the day.
Thanks minniek a great diversion to be at and i would like to say again that dam GPS device was a little of maybe they need to recalibrate those funny things in the sky.
Grand Cache count = 532 total consisting of 498 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 5 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

Today we were up early to do the Taralga Trek. It was a cool morning as we left but soon warmed up by midday. This gave us a nice tiki tour of the surrounding countryside as we have not visited this part of NSW. We were surprised to see a few windmill farms along our journey.

Long weekend. I better time to go caching. I drove down from Greystanes on Friday afternoon so I could get an early start on my caching day. As I start to log them I have no idea how many caches I got today my target was 75 on my own.
Today did have a lot of first for me.
Saw my first geo snake which slithered away as I approached. I have a really fear of snake so was shaken for a while.
I saw my first beware of funnel web spider sign and then saw 2 on the cache.
I traveled 606km from the time I left home and then got home again tonight.
Thanks to all the geocachers whose caches I find today. If it was. It for you guys I would not have had a fantastic day. Seen some amazing and not so amazing sights.
Thanks heaps.
