I had a spare day and the rain had cleared (enough) so I called Chamad to see if he could convince me that caching in muddy puddles would be fun. I was given a meeting point and 1 hr to be there. No convincing necessary. The rain held off and the humidity even started - in August! We achieved quite a bit in 4 hrs and successfully avoided the jobs we should have been doing at home. Every now and then a different kind of cache is found. This was one of them so a favourite point awarded.

I thought I spotted this cache upon approach, and as it turned out, I had - it was right in plain sight! The container's lid was busted, but the contents seemed ok and inside protective bags. Thanks RogueHound for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, my general plan was a northern expedition towards Dayboro, noting that I still had several clusters of ex-Dayboro Mega caches yet to be found. Along the way, I stopped at Cedar Creek Falls and hiked towards Love Creek Falls, and then continued to Dayboro for a bakery lunch. I then continued to head north-east towards Burpengary, and stopped at Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) to complete the [Burpengary C.R.E.E.C.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/238e69db-725c-4a77-b5c4-42b7bb4a245b) Adventure Lab.

Being stealthy at 8 a.m. just as families are doing their child drop off is pretty easily achieved at times.
I got to the cache just as the resident children we're leaving for the school run... i dont thinm they noticed me, but K gave a wave to the driver and i got a beep so that was pretty cool as I approached the cache.

It was a quick find. A stamp of the book and some quick swaps too
I took some vegie stickez and left toys

I am currently on a road trip from Victoria enjoying Queensland.

I am having a ball travelling round Moreton Bay area

Different location for a cache. We found the container on the ground with the handle broken (brittle from age I suspect). Shazzar66 used her K-mart grabber-thingy to pick it up. We signed the log and the cache was put back as intended (hopefully). The cache container could probably do with some love. TFTC

07-Sep-22
It was a nice weekday morning for caching so we did a little runaround this area.
We parked close the GZ and spotted what could be the cache from the car. On further inspection it was indeed the cache. The container had water in it but the bag was keeping the log book dry. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks RogueHound for this one.

12-Aug-22
First cache on my adventures today whilst my little buddy gets groomed . Parked up right alongside the cache and walked straight to it. The lid is a little cracked and handle broken but still useable. I thought the CO may have a suitable cache replacement in their fridge . No kiddies about being a school day and no doggy in the yard either today. Thanks for a good start to my day

Whalebone Lane

A street in Ankh-Morpork running from Treacle Mine Road hubward to the river, widdershins of Sheer Street. Whalebone Lane, along with Treacle Mine Road and Cable Street, is one of a number of streets inhabited by Dwarfs. It is lined with tenements and workshops. The dwarfs of these streets have vendettas and feuds that originated in mine shafts five hundred miles away and a thousand years ago. For instance, dwarves who belong to a specific clan could not even walk down this street, or use a pub by it, and so on...

Cache 7341 on 3 Apr 2021.

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!

This cache: quick collect for the front yard attribute! Cache could do with some maintenance...

Thanks RogueHound for the cache and the fun!

03-Apr-21
In the area for my kid's 21st birthday and to attend the Dayboro Mega. AngelG27 and TikvaNZ joined me. We signed as Team FAT.

After a particular challenge cache, we realised a few more 'front yard' attributes were required. Hence this one.

#14791 @1440
In Brisbane with AngelG27 and Fox in Jox for the Dayboro Mega. Today we were targeting counties, old caches, and specific D/T combinations mainly north east of the city, ending up at Dayboro. Cache easily found. TFTC

02-Apr-21
Out today to grab a few target caches with certain attributes and types, this was one of those.
I had a muggle friend with me today who I was showing around and looking at different cache types. Explaining what types of caches and how they work is better if you just go and do, lol. So off we went collecting caches, signing logs and going to different places.

This one was an easy find however the cache container needs to be replaced the lid is very damaged and the container had plenty of water in it.
So happy to find this one, with the log signed and cache replaced we were off to the next surprise for the day. Thanks for placing this one here it was an easy find.

20-Mar-21
Found it thanks, bucket is broken and has some water may need replacing Smile

25-Feb-21
Spotting this one proved to be a breeze, retrieval without a tether somewhat more challenging. A bit of a juggle and the cache was in our hands, we gently opened the brittle damaged lid, emptied the water, signed the log, and duly lowered the cache back into position. Afterwards we made use of the nearby picnic table for a lovely dry lunch spot on this rainy day. TFTC RogueHound

25-Feb-21
This was made a little more challenging due to the fact that the tether had come off but manage we did. The lid is a little fragile now so we gently pried it off. Cache a little mouldy inside with some water in base. and logbook just barely damp. TFTC

25-Feb-21
It’s so nice to have a cache in a very safe location like this, although this particular container could use a little bit of love. The lid is cracked and there’s about a centimetre of water in the bottom – I think you just need to eat a bit more yoghurt! Also the tether has come adrift so retrieving it proved to be a lot more challenging than we had anticipated. The rain also made things more urgent than we would have liked! But all is well that ends well – nice to get a yard cache.
TFTC, RogueHound. =^.^=

I was in the area and as I need a couple of caches with this attribute for a challenge I dropped by to check it out.

I spotted it as I drove up and then, like Fangsoki, I had to improvise on my access. Luckily, my hand fits through the fence and I could maneuver it to a location when I could retrieve it. I am sorry but the lid started to fall apart as I removed it. It really does need replacing.

1MinnieMoo and I were in the area grabbing a few front yard caches - and this was next on my hitlist.

I approached GZ and bought the cache to my hands. It was at this point the part holding the rope broke - as it was brittle Twisted

I opened the container (which is somewhat brittle in general) and signed the log. I then gingerly lowered the container through the fence back to its resting place.

This was one of the better front yard caches I have done - and not incredibly stressful (except when container break on you). TFTC RogueHound Smile

07-Feb-21
It's going to happen to anyone - it's going to happen to me Twisted

The container on this one is brittle and the part the rope is attached to is now broken. I lowered the cache through the fence gently. But this one probably needs a replacement container so the rope can be re-tied to it.

The cache could still be lifted through the fence if need be.

How could you DNF this one?
I have been to Narangba countless times for work, but never went near here, so when I had some time to go caching I grabbed the chance.
Found the hide in plain sight and duly signed the log.
Thanks for creating something different and fun, and for not using an Eclipse tin Wink

I decided to head up towards the Narangba area to clean out some caches that I’ve missed in the past and to grab the new ones that have popped up recently.

I wasn’t sure if this was the cache, but I had a closer look and it sure was. I looked at the other obvious spot first, but had no luck so checked out the other obvious spot and there it was.

Had a laugh at this one when I read the description at gz. Found what was needed without disturbing either the woofer or kids. TFTC RogueHound

27-Jul-19
I’ve been close to GZ once before but it was a full on sports day and the closest available car park was in Adelaide. Being a Saturday I wasn’t holding a lot of hope but there wasn’t any sport to be seen. Clearly it was a PlayStation and phone weekend for the kids.

I could see the cache last time I drove past and being able to park right in front today made for a quick find. Naturally we had to then head off to the playground which was also devoid of kids. Now if only our house didn’t have any mature kids in it because they had all moved out. tftc

Kids loved the treasures they found here. TFTC!

A quick and easy park and grab and a first Greek yoghurt cache container for us! As previous cachers mentioned, it is nice to do a yard cache like this one. The one up the road we did not do as we felt uneasy about it especially after reading it is in someone's yard.

We have made camp in the Caboolture showgrounds for a week.
Today we headed south to Burpengary then caching on the way back into town. Visited many locations we had not been before, lots of great hides.
3 bright & smiley girls met us at this cache. We had a good chat with them & taked about geocaching. They said they were waiting for somebody to find it today.
A FP for the friendly receiption at this cache.
Thanks for placing this cache RogueHound

Sezzz wanted to find ALL the caches so then she could get the latest souvenir. I had some spare time so offered to drive her around caching. We jumped out of the car and after searching for a minute or so came up with the unconventional container. We signed our names in the logbook and replaced all as found. 2/5/18, 11:24 am Find #1648
Wombles&Co and I were out today grabbing caches around this area as we figured our other caching buddy, who wasn't joining us today, had already done much of this area.
When it comes to front yard caches, this one is a good example of how to do it. No serious poking around someone's yard, we could see the cache as we drove up. We could still do the cache without feeling awkward about snooping in private property. And it was kind of fun to fish and grab the cache. I noted the memorial for Harry, who I assume was a beloved little furry family member.
Thanks for the cache RogueHound.
