Day 25 of my interstate trip. Today I left Gillenbah early and my goal for the day is to make it Home.. I managed to get 6 along the way today.Have been meaning to clean up these 3 random caches along the boarder but never seem to have the time do it so made sure to get them today. TFTC Greenos
We're meandering home, after attending 2 awesome Megas over this side of the country, via a few little deTours as we go.We'll be going back across the Nullarbor, back to our Seaside home eventually, before WAGB 2024.Thanks for this one on our travels.TFTC
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I are working our way towards Canberra for the Easter Capital GeoBash Mega. At Paringa for a couple of days of rest and maintenance although we did have a couple of targeted caches at MacCabes Corner today. After a great day, we settled in for sundown drinks and nibbles which is always enjoyable at the end of a good day, only it turns out it wasnt the end a caching for the day. Diligent Deana discovered a sought after D/T rating along the SA/Vic border trail. Luckily, I was enjoying another AFD, so a tad before 1900hrs, 3 of us made the dash. It was never going to be a quick trip as there were about a dozen other caches on route. We grabbed this one along the way. Another great day for caching. TFTC Greenos
TFTC Greenos your cache Mini G's #2 - The Junk Cache that we found today. We had had a big day with a long kayaking adventure and other caches on the way back to Paringa. Sitting around talking about the day with Wollaston and MeandDewe decided to head out to the border to find some more caches. It turned out to be a longer trip than originally planned. Just one more turned into several more. A nice haul of 10 for the evening.. Find Count: 19078 .
Sitting around discussing puzzles and D/T and LGA and I realised that there was a D/T nearby we needed to help us along to our 9th loop. I discussed with M the possibility of a late afternoon excursion since it was less than 1/2 an hour away but then Wollaston realised he needed it too. HansandLinda are always keen to find just a few more so I left M behind and we headed out in Wollastons' vehicle to grab just a few more finds for the day. Thanks for find #5766TNLN
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that VK7HCH and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

The GPS has us a heading away from GZ but budgie stopped and made a quick find. Sometimes it pays to put the electronics away!
Thanks Greenos
We separated from Tassie Trekkers today with Budgie, SSR and I heading along the Murray toward Mildura and surrounds today. The high river levels prevented us from getting many of our chosen caches but we still found some good ones and enjoyed the day.
It’s become a tradition to fly to a Mega via somewhere else so Stainless steel rat, budgietas and I flew from Hobart to Adelaide a week before the big event and, after a few days around the city, worked our way up along the Murray (where we could due to flooding) via Waikerie, Mildura, Swan Reach and Echuca before heading down through Shepparton to Whittlesea where we caught up, and cached with, a few other teams including Whitewebbs, 1toolman and icybeetas.
Thanks Greenos

Found this cache while out caching with Goosenegg and stainless steel rat.
We drove from South Australia, to Victoria and down the Murray river, swapping between NSW and Victoria, collecting LGA's as we drove down to Mildura
Thank you for the cache.
All caches stamped with "Team Tassie"
November 2022 was planned as a trip to the Mega in Melbourne, so we flew from Hobart to Adelaide to find quite a few caches that we had missed last time. Some great caches were found, but the planned boat trip was canceled due to the weather. No matter the showers we found quite a few caches on the trip (Around 600) including a number with high Terrian values.
The drive-through down the Murray river on the NSW / Victoria border showed the impacts of the current floods. A number of caches planned were canceled due to the flooding. Unfortunately, many of these caches will have been lost to the flood. The Mega, as per the whole week, was on and off a wet time, even so a number of caches were still found with Goosenegg, Stainless Steel Rat, Whitewebbs and Tassie Trekkers

On our way to the mega and went via SA just so we could finish off the OYB series, We did these with TT and marked our territory with a stamp that said Team Tassie, most of the caches we found in good order and those couple that weren't we fixed up as best we could with what we had to hand.
All found now well till some more come out anyway!
Another year, another Victorian Mega, so where do we fly into, Adelaide like you do, after a few days in the city we ventured out into the wilds of SA before heading Northeast towards the border (You remember the name of the town, don't you?) before crossing over we teamed up with Tassie Trekkers and we all finished off the OYB series.
Our attempts at a few caches as we moved South that were near rivers were as half expected we were thwarted by floods so we didn't get to those but added the odd on in here and there.
At long last we arrived in Whittlesea for the Mega late in the evening of Friday 11th and after a quick event headed to our accommodation for the next few days. While in the area we explored the area finding caches all over the place and we even got to meet up with our Victorian ex Tassie cacher 1Toolman who traveled up from down South to join us for the day
Thanks for the cache.

Lockdowns, lock outs etc had stopped as from getting to Millicent a few times and also On Ya Bike Series. Finally things fell into place and B@W, Crash, PPE and Tardis 0061 (later to sign as BCPT for our initials or Big Cycling Power Trail amongst other things) were on a week long road trip into SA. Various select caches and locations were targeted on the way over and back for LGA's and other stats.

In the Riverland for the Tri State Community Event Weekend/International Geocaching Day. On our way to the second Community event we stopped to make a quick find here. TFTC
3 events across 3 states in 1 day for International Geocaching Day.
After a friendly welcome at the first event we buzzed off with a couple of bees and went on the prowl with some cool cats to find a few more caches on the way to the next event.
As soon as the veggies jumped out they thought they knew where this cache would be hidden. But the cats with the GPS went off in another direction. Meanwhile Carrots followed his geo senses and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC Greenos

2 July 2021 11:47 am Found with the Hardacres on our School holidays trip staying in our own state thanks to covid 19. Glad this was a quick find because it was raining and freezing out of the car. Thanks Greenos for the cache.
A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
It was now time to head home after doing numerous trails while in the area a great caching adventure. We picked up numerous on our way home to break up the journey.
Yep there sure was some junk here along the bumpy track. No issues with the find.
Thanks for the hide Greenos and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Today was cleaning up around Loxton and making our way over to Mildura for the night, before making our way back towards Wagga tomorrow.
We decided to do a little dirt track driving along the border, no issues with the find here after a bumpy ride in, now onto the next find for the day.
Thanks for the hides Greenos And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

Brad was on his way back from Sydney after visiting B2 and J2. He realised that this one was "on the way". So he made the detour down the track never quite sure which state he was in. A few caches later and he was heading back to the bitumen.
This was a quick find with the location exactly as described.
Except for the 1 zillion flies.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Greenos for the cache.

Heading south again we had a great time looking for and finding caches. This one was found safe and sound. Thanks for the cache.
Wanting to find all the Murray - Sunset NP caches we spent the day traveling the top corner with some great caching buddies, enjoying each others company as well as admiring the locations each cache took us to.
After grabbing some caches north of the highway, it was now time to head south along the border track in convoy with the remaining 5WD's.
Found the cache well protected under its 'roof'.
Thanks Greenos for the placement along the border track.

After an event at Rocket Lake yesterday we camped there overnight and then cached our way through Murray Sunset. With some of the vehicles low on fuel we aired up our tyres and headed down the blacktop to Yamba.
Stopping here as we headed first north from the Sturt and then south along the Border Track to our next campsite.

Ended up in Mexico - who would've thought! But we managed to get back over the wall
Wandered down this nice track and found a couple of caches that weren't here last time I looked!
(About two months before placement date i think LOL)
Nice to wander from the track all the way into Mexico to get the cache
Good to see the Mini Gs out and about.
All a bit dry around here.

This was a relatively easy find- after we read the description properly! We were a bit worried driving down about where we might be able to turn around - but this wasn’t a worry once we got here. Found with Rocstar70. TFTC Greenos.
After the lunch time event travelling with The coffee's we joined the convoy to try and find a way to The five corner club virtual but after wasting quite a bit of time on the wrong roads we were all caching our way back towards Mildura.
This was to be our last cache for the day as time is slipping passed rapidly and we wanted to get to the last of the 3 x 3 events. We stopped here and thought "Oh No", we will have to put a time limit on this. After reading the cache page we found that it wouldn't be necessary and the GPSr led us to a nice easy find where we happily added our names to the log.
Driving the full length of the Border Track is on our bucket list and hopefully it will be completed in the not too distant future.
Thanks for the cache Mini G's and the kids for placing this cache.

After attending the 3x3 lunch time event it was time to head back east into familiar territory, Victoria and after making it safely back over the border it was time to find a couple along the border track.
After finding a few up north it was time to head south to find a couple on this part of the border track which I must come back and finish one day.
GPS bounced around a bit for some unknown reason but I soon located the cache after reading the hint.
Thanks Mini G’s #2 - The Junk Cache by Greene’s TFTC.

After a night camped near the border, I was heading home this morning, back to Adelaide after an extended trip away, and grabbing just a few caches along the way.

Adelaide Trip 2017-2018. After Christmas I headed back to Adelaide for a family visit. Day 2. Things were a bit dryer today and I drove from Balranald to Adelaide via Mildura. I spent a bit longer around the Vic/SA Border before Renmark than I expected. The run down the border track was fine to this spot. I was trying to head west into SA but the two marked tracks did not eventuate, so I went a lot further south than expected and came across few very sandy spots.
Thanks.

Grabbed the TB from here and will move it on if I don't lose it. Always a pleasure to drive the border track, even if it was only a short stint this time. Not a sole around.
Found on the Easter 3 state jaunt via SA, Vic then NSW. The weather was clear, the tracks were dusty and the skies were clear and starry. Catching up with friends along the way at the various events was also a bonus.
Thanks to Greenos and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Headed for a campsite tonight and I was cruising the border track
First problem was that me campsite was a 'no go zone' as there is feral animal control going on in the park at the moment,
and the NP is closed from sunset to sunup
Not to worry !!
At least I got to drive past this cache on me way to me backup campsite
Second problem !!
It's 37° out here in the blazing sun,
and it looks like I have to visit snakey heaven [:o]
Thank heavens for good olde clues [^]
And poking noisily around the edges,
soon had me a cache find
I took a whole bunch of cuteness out of the cache,
in the form of "MAYCEE MOO" TB.
And dropped in some Japanese influence in the form of "I Have a Dream - Daruma Travel Bug"

Mrs Moneydork, Moneydork, muggle partner and I left Berri for Mildura to shop and cache.
Seems a set of 4WD retrieval tools was needed after yesterday's effort!
By the time we returned to Berri about 9pm, caches smileys equalled 6 and DNFs equalled although we did have a CNF ... a Could Not Finish due to the river having flooded and brought down a tree across a track
Last cache for the day on the way back to Berri.
Coords were off a bit but use the hint and you will make the find.
Found in only the second spot that I looked into and voila....amongst the junk there was a cache
Only saw a couple of kangaroos on dusk and under a heavily clouded sky threatening with an incoming storm.

I needed two caches today to help fill in my geocaching finds calendar towards a target of 10 caches on every calendar day (I have only done the full 366 days 2 times so far and already had 8 finds on 7 November). This cache is one of my closest unfound so I went and got it after attending a work related meeting in Renmark tonight. Great location. The road is definitely better than I recall.
The Track is in much better condition than I recall it being, or maybe I just haven't reached the sandy bit! After having no success at all in the area indicated as GZ by the GPSr decided to look closer to the structure than the description seemed to indicate. Soon had the cache in hand with over 10m showing on the GPSr . Took the bubbles as, from memory, they are on the banned list of contents, left a crane. Perfect spot for a cache and a glorious day to be out and about! Cache #2496.
Today we set ourselves a challenge of caching in 4 states in a day. This we managed to achieve.
Woohoo! Yay! This was our sixth cache for the day and our second {FTF}. We knew what track this was on as we had travelled it before. As we neared the co-ordinates of GZ, we saw the structure referred to and a quick search soon revealed the container. A pristine log book greeted us and we were very happy to sign as (FTF). The container was put back with camo over it to protect it from the elements. This cache gets a favourite point from us as it was a FTF cache for us. Thank you to Greenos for placing this cache in an area that we really enjoy.
Some statistics for the day included finding 7 caches in the 4 states. There were 5 small caches, 1 regular and 1 earth cache. Two were first to find caches.
The day was a very long one as we drove over 900 kilometres.
