Attended with just two Fergzters to what I think may be our third or fourth Intervening Days event. Was good to catch up with friends for the annual tradition. We will be placing our prize soon near Ballarat soon.! TFTE The 2 Wanderers.

The group pic shows I attended in 2016, after the event GoodLook and I drove back to Bendigo, had dinner and found some nearby caches, it was a lovely day.

My sincere apologies for the late log. I have geocaching finds dating back to 2011 in my GSAK database that I am yet to log; amounting to several thousand un-logged finds across the last 9 years.

So, what to do when you find yourself in this administrative caching 'hole' nightmare? Well you seek out a 'personal assistant' (thanks GoodLook), to assist to remedy the situation of course! WinkSmile I thank the CO for accepting my tardy log and for your understanding.

Thank you The 2 Wanderers for hosting this event.

I made a late decision to attend this event but I'm really glad that I did. I arrived pretty late but there were still plenty of cachers around to chat to. I haven't attended this in previous years but I was very interested to hear some of the history of the event and well done to the current hosts for carrying on the tradition. I signed the logbook and visited some trackable before chewing the fat with some familiar faces. The forecasted heat didn't materialise and it was pleasant temperature but unfortunately some rain on the way. Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for organising this event.

After a big day of cooking and family/friend celebrations on Christmas day, I jumped in my car about 8pm and decided to travel to Victoria, from Adelaide, in order to attend this event.......AND.... spend time with some of my Victorian geocaching friends. Big Grin[^]

I've not driven around Melton before, so it was nice to stop off at this lovely park to enjoy an event, despite the light showers of rain.

After some warm greetings, laughter and catching up with those I've come to know over the last 12 months, the awesome Feathertop and I left to find a couple of caches. Then it was back to the event location to continue chatting with the 'stragglers' and once most people had left the lovely micaparamedic and I headed out for a coffee and my travels took me to Bendigo.

A fun and spontaneous caching trip across the border, gotta love that!

Thanks so much for organising such a great event The 2 Wanderers Smile

This was our very first Intervening Event, as normally MrsT has to work. Lucky Tip Top are getting too tight with wages and gave me the afternoon off Smile The added bonus of catching up with all our lovely caching buddies today as well as enjoying the activities put on by our gracious hosts.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for an enjoyable event allowing us to catch up with everyone for Christmas/New years.

Smiley No. 1622. Event No. 47

A day trip to Melton to attend our 2nd Intervening Days Event. FUF009 came with us.

It was great to catch up with everyone and like always, meet a few new ones. The icy pole stick game proved to be popular again and it is amazing with so many gps and other devices, they do not take you to the same spot, when we all have the same co-ords.
We were lucky again this year to win a prize in the raffle - decision time - now what will we take?? We ended up with a Lackey trackable tag. Thanks Reg and Rosemarie for the prizes.
We planned to do some caching before heading home but the rain came down and we didn't fancy caching in the rain so we just stayed and chatted to well past the finishing time of the event. Finally it was time to head off, the rain had eased and yes we did get a few finds on our way home.
Boxing Day is a day we usually stay at home but we won't forget this year as we all enjoyed ourselves and had a great time attending your event.

What a great tradition this has become. A nice way to catch up with caching friends to celebrate Christmas and just chat about all things caching as well as get a tip on a few puzzles. Thanks Rosemary and Reg for keeping this event going. Have a great caching new year. Cheers Caz

26-Dec-16

Mary & David were there. Think we have attended every one of these Intervening Days Events. Not as busy as some years, but how strange to see so many dogs yet no children. Once again our hosts kept us busy and the paddle pop stick game always points out the differences between devices. We were delighted to win a raffle prize, and Mary chose an unactivated trackable tag. The temperature was a great relief after yesterday's scorcher. May you all have a wonderful year ahead with health, happiness, travel, and many caches. Our thanks to The 2 Wanderers.

26-Dec-16
Arrived early and caught up with quite a few friends here today. So pleased that it was not as hot as yesterday.
Thank you for organising this event again and ensuring that our BBCue was available.
Very sorry I left early. We are heading over to Adelaide tomorrow and packing is somewhat essential.
Hope you have a happy and safe festive season.

Cheers

Event # 63

Once again I hitched a ride with Tyred n Cranky down to Melton for this event, this was our 2nd Intervening days we have attended.
It was great to catch up with familiar faces and to meet some new ones.
Sadly I was way off with my icy pole stick, but made up with being drawn out for a raffle prize. Cool
We stayed well past 2.00pm chatting and laughing, even the rain that came in late didn't turn us away.

TFTE The 2 Wanderers.

I loved the playground here and the lolly bag!
Thanks for hosting the event.

26-Dec-16
We attended this event on the way home after three long days in Melbourne doing the visit-the-rellies Christmas thing. We expected the weather to be uncomfortably hot, but a cool breeze kicked in just after we arrived making things just perfect. Riddell beat us this time, but we stayed later. We enjoyed catching up with everyone, and swapping tall tales of caches found. We won a hippo in the draw prizes - hmm wonder what we will do with that, I'm sure Chunk will think of something.

Thank you to the 2 Wanderers for hosting this now-classic event. It was really good to catch up with you guys too. Awesome work - much appreciated. Happy New Year to everyone.

26-Dec-16
This was my sixth attendance at this event and it has become a part of my Christmas tradition, along with Wyndham Lights. In contrast to previous years, the weather started off very pleasant, and remained that way until the rain began to fall.

It was nice to be able to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones as well. Thanks to The 2 Wanderers for organising the event and for the kiddies lolly bag! Smile

26-Dec-16
Fewer people here I thought than previous events, but it was Boxing Day. As ever it was good to chat to things caching and the organisers had lots of games to play. The rain held off for us too.

26-Dec-16
This was the first time we have attended an event in Melton and the weather thankfully was much cooler than Christmas day. We very much enjoyed ourselves, met some cachers that we had worked with a couple of months ago at a CITO in Sydney and spent some time talking to and learning from other cachers as well.
It was a well organised event and we were very pleased to be drawn for one of the lucky door prizes. Many thanks to The 2 Wanderers for a fun event.

26-Dec-16
Thanks for organizing this event The 2 Wanderers. I'm pleased to find you happy and well.

26-Dec-16
We believe we never missed one of these events in Melton. It is a wonderful institution, an opportunity to touch base with a lot of our caching friends and to get chatting to other like-minded people that we did not know too well before. Today was no exception, and we thank the long-standing COs for their efforts! Wow, there were a lot of prizes, and we even scored a lolly bag. Massive thanks to The 2 Wanderers for their preparation and hosting of this event, again.
Well, we chatted and we spoke, exchanged ideas and stories and ended up feeling rather cold in the rain - what a welcome change after yesterday's heat! (Hope the yard at home got some of the rain, too. It's hard to tell.)
Happy New year to all! May you stay healthy and find lots of interesting caches in 2017.
Visited our collection of trackables and a Danish Coin and left a TB to be moved on.
