Hi #Road Runner
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
The Coddiwompler

There have been a string of DNFs on this straightforward cache and there has been no response from the CO to the NM log made in January.
This is an interesting spot and it would be great to free it up for a new cache if the CO isn't interested in maintaining this one.

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Had a bit of a poke around for this one but with all the previous DNF's decided to give it away.
No joy here with little blue hen who scratched around anything that resembled the hint object. May need a CO check.
re signed this cache.
I had already found this cache and did not re visit this but i realised i had not logged the other one here either. On checking caches in the area where i was going i saw these three caches so i thought i would visit these but when i got there i remembered parking in the exact same cul de sac and walking the exact same tracks of the older two of them so on my way to the new one i past the first one and re signed that and then walked on to the new track. I was amazed at the new bridge across for the cycle way etc and the new cycle way path that i followed to GZ
thanks for these caches and another smiley face.

Day Ten of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today was the second Mega event day and after attending the Kevin Anderson pilgrimage event and finding the oldest NZ cache, plus the remaining lab caches, we headed north to Kapiti to catch up with our daughter. Another nice day today and still no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities. An amazing streak of weather.
I needed eighteen more caches further than 500 kms from home for the so far away challenge, so set out on a local mission to try and get them in the two hours before our dinner appointment. Next up was this one, and after pulling up reasonably nearby, jogged along the trail and across the bridge and promptly had to duck for a very low incoming Cessna. I was surprised at how low it seemed...!! This cache was a bit further along the trail and was quickly found in hint location once an elderly muggle had moved on, log signed and returned safe and secure, ready for the next finder

First real view of the expressway. Not as noisy as I expected and quite a junction of walking/bike trail. Photo attached of the logs. TFTC.
Doing some night caches before we head back to the campsite. This was a little tricky given so many options but being methodical helped.
I woke up this morning to find that that the rain predicted for the day was nowhere to be seen. And so the day I thought was going to be spend lounging around doing nothing turned into a very nice day spent wandering around Queen Elizabeth Park and Raumati, collecting caches I had wanted to try for, and a few Puzzle Caches I had worked out a while ago.
So having just spent a pleasant few hours soaking up some sun whilst wandering all over QE Park, it was now time to try for a few caches around Raumati. Having never been caching here before, there was quite a few to choose from!
I actually ended up at this one by chance rather than design. It was getting late in the day, with the sun having just set by the time I decided to head off home. Looking at the map I thought Kiwi Road would be a shortcut to getting to the Motorway on-ramp, but it turned out to be a dead end for cars. So seeing as I was here anyway I decided to jump out and have a crack at getting this one, which turned out to be an easy find once I had figured out which bit of the fence was pertinent. The dusk made it easy to sign the log and re-hide without being observed, and then it was onto my last one for the day nearby.
Thanks for placing this cache.

A nice quick find by the other member of the team which surprised me that they virtually went straight to it! Logbook signed, and cache replaced as found.
A bit of a walk in the area capturing a few caches as we went. This was one of those, on a warm, still and sunny Sunday afternoon.
I found this cache with team cacher zboy wonder.
Straightforward find. Cache OK; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.

Dad & I went for a walk around here this morning before it got too busy with muggles...
Yes there's a good view of the Expressway. Found it in a gap between dog-walkers but I felt very exposed - in full view of houses and distant walkers.
Thanks for the cache #RoadRunner!

Out for a stroll to stretch the legs and pick up some of the caches along this part of the walkway. Nice and easy find. Log signed and with the cache returned it was back along the walkway to the next one. TFTC
What an awesome day for caching, began the weekend after work on Friday and headed to Feilding to pick up the other half of the geocaching team. Heading off around 5.15pm. Getting a few caches Friday night before resting at our accomodation in paraparaumu beach for the night. Got up this morning at 5:30am ready to get our goal for the day being the rest of our 250 caches in February that we missed out on last year. We set off getting this cache as the first 1 of the day.
parked up near gz and went for the find, all was quite especially at the time of the morning. Once at gz quickly found and signed the log, and replaced it exactly as found. Thanks for the cache.

First of five found along this track this afternoon on a walk with the geohound. Reasonably quick find. #1636. TFTC.
A really enjoyable cycle ride with the EU Crew and drawp allowed us to collect a few caches en route. TFTC
In the area for work today and a few spare minutes to collect a couple of caches. I haven't been along the new walkway and an impressive area.
Cache and log in good order. TFTC

Staying in Raumati for a couple of days. Parked up on Matai road and went for a walk along the new cycle way and looped back down Kiwi Road. Saw that a replacement log was in place so made the quick grab. Thanks for the cache.
Found today with The Wandering Dragons in the drizzle. Quick find. Thank you.

Cache # 3,867 - found the replacement log easily today, although log sheet was a bit difficult to write on - our signature is more of a scrawl. Did with Violet Butterfly. Thanks to supernanny for putting out the replacement cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Just Got A Message Regarding The Cache and it appears As It has Gone So I Will Replace Soon!
Got to GZ and we had read the hint and something seemed off. Then we just happened to look down and there was a plastic bag lying in the grass with a log inside. We then realised the hint object has very recently been removed! Couldn't find container anywhere so have taken log and will message CO.
Wow, I'm impressed with all the work that is going on with the motor way and bike and walking trails. I'm looking forward to being able to explore by bike. TFTC
It's great to see what's happening to the expressway and I love what they've done to the surrounds - - landscaping, wetlands and cycle/walkways. It seems this part of the new road is not far away from opening. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks for encouraging us to walk along here today. I really enjoyed it.
Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
After ten days spent in the 'island of the south stopping at lakes in Dunedin in Oumaru and be returned to Chch, we decided to go north to the island with a flight to Wellington, the idea is to relax a few days between the sea and the beach course cache, unfortunately we will take four days of rain and wind, impossible to take to the beach.
But we'll make with the cache.
They expect historical cache but especially the GC46 one of the few positioned in May 2000 still alive, among other things, the oldest of NZ.
Arrived early at the hotel we walk this beautiful bike a nice walk is what it takes
Greetings from Italy

As I approached, I thought I would be In View Of The Expressway Construction Workers. However, they seemed to disappear (maybe morning smoko time?) and I was able to go about my business unobserved.
TFTC. Construction seems to be coming on apace, wonder when the nearby bridge will be open?
Find #2694. Started at Paekakariki with the bike, off the train, cycling through to Paraparaumu and back with some deviations for cache hunting. A pleasant day with a strengthening Nor'west breeze and a strong Southerly to finish the day.
Quick and easy find between walkers. The plastic bag is a bit of overkill, the size of it makes it hard to get back in the container. SL TFTC

A quick find with Bevinet, JoBevNZ and our boys on bikes. All happy to have the traditional gummy bear treat per cache whenever we go caching together! ALl good at GZ, co-ords all fine and easy muggle free find.
Pretty well hidden considering there's not many places to hide here. Plastic bag is excessively large causing unnecessary scrunching of the log. TFTC.
Great weather this afternoon so I went for a drive to find some of the new caches around Paraparaumu. This one was a quick find in the first place checked, with good accurate coordinates. Signed log, TFTC
Great to have a few new finds in this area to get out and find. Haven't been along this route in a while. So different with the new road being put through. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. Found it at 4:03:34 PM NZDT on 29 November 2016 while walking Neo.
Morning caching in Kapiti area. Nice walk in the sunshine after a shower of rain for a easy find. Thanks #Road Runner for the cache.
A quick easy find with a lot of earthworks nearby for the progressing expressway. TFTC
A pleasant morning for a walk. The expressway must be just about ready for action. No worries finding the cache. TFTC
As I was in view of the workers (though some distance away) I took photos so as to distract from what I was mainly there for.
A great spot to observe the construction.
TFTC.

It's been interesting watching the progress of the new motorway as construction continues, great to see the effort they're putting into cycleways, tracks and plantings. TFTC.
On approaching the area we thought that we might have to skip this one due to all the construction guys working on the new footbridge nearby. However it turned out that the cache location shielded us nicely from them and we made a quick find.
Thanks very much for the cache.

Teamed up with Flowerydaze to find the newly published caches.
Starting to get a bit of a convoy here as the others followed us from cache to cache.

#8428. Joint {FTF} with Flowerydaze, jojo&dobby and tmann421 at 11:02 and first day find. Convoyed with the group to park on Kiwi Road for another short walk in Paraparaumu. Good view of the expressway here. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
