Well this has been and gone and its time to archive it. Thanks to everyone for coming.

Ended up coming along to this event before i headed out to an engagement party.

A lovely day for a gathering. So nice to see so many faces, familiar and new.

A good day for a bbq I think. Not that warm in the area.
It was unusual for me to be on the cooking side so a new experience to chalk up.
My thanks to the NT tourism dept for aiding with the sponsorship.
Plenty of people turned up thankfully as I had way too many snags.
A nice treat for Carl of Geostuff: bacon. I know he's a fan. Not an egg in sight either. Thanks for sponsoring the NT and the Red Centre Experience Carl! Also thanks for the authentic chocolate crackles. Made with cornflakes and not rice crispies.
Thanks to Geocaching Melbourne for donating a limited edition Surf Coast geocoin which went to FTF and 1st time event attendee jimbo_80. Congratulations on your 1st event and welcome to the fold.
All in all I think it went well and managed to get through a little speech about the NT, the event and Alice Springs without too much trouble.

Glad none of the lemmings, who went cliff hanging after the event, got hurt.
Again thanks to the NT Tourism Dept for helping put this on and allow us to learn more about the upcoming fun at Easter.

Find #2706. Attended @12:15 until 14:30 with skirrel, j-bean and The Good Lady Wife.

We arrived a bit late after mismanaging out morning preparations. When we got here, there were already a bunch of people of site, and snags on the go.

I chatted with some cachers and found that there was a group inspecting a nearby challenge cache. I joined them for a squiz and thought that was that, but soon a banana with equipment showed up.

After signing that log, and getting a photo for the event, we helped sharkiefan with the packup before departing.

Investigations are underway to see if attendance at the Red Centre is feasible.

Took unactivated trackable, left nothing, signed log, ate sausages and bacon in bread and visited some other trackables.

Turned up at this one for a flying visit between a kids birthday party northside and other parenting commitments back in the hood. Making a habit of turning up at events for a brief time but thanks to all for being so understanding. Managed to have time to sample some of the delicious BBQ fare served up by sharkiefan and chat to a few familiar faces. As focus turned towards the challenge cache on the cliff I realised the time and made my excuses and headed off. Signed log, grabbed an unactivated Red Centre TB and visited some trackables. Thanks for organising this local event sharkiefan. I hope to make it to the Red Centre Experience but it doesn't seem likely at this stage.

A nice turnout, met a few cachers for the first time and caught up with so many others.
Lots of photos and a bit of a diversion later and it was time to move along.
We are hoping to make it to The Red Centre, we shall wait and see how things pan out.

I was there briefly near the end. No sausage.

Got some great tips for the Red Centre event and also enjoyed the barbecue and beautiful park today. Thanks Sharkiefan.

I made sure that I turned up early to this one as I had to leave early for another appointment. I will be going to the Red Centre event so it was nice to catch up with a few people who will also. Thanks to Sharkiefan for putting it on.

Lots of chatting, released some new trackables to advertise the Red Centre Event and then watched as people trusted B1's ropes as they learned to absail.

We arrived at GZ and were greeted with hot sausages, bacon and bread, plus the sauce to go with it, YUM!!! We had a day catching up with fellow geocaches and sharing our expriences finding caches.

We finished the day off with a first time abseiling down a cliff to sign a mystery cache, thanks to Rohan who supplied the gear to make a safe trip to the cache.

Thanks Sarah for cooking the snags/bacon and hosting the event.

I arrived early but there were already a few cachers in attendance. As time progressed, the numbers increased and the plentiful sausages were eaten. It was good to catch up with all those in attendance.

Just after the photo, B1 of Archie B1 and B2 arrived, and had ropes and equipment for the nearby challenge cache, so I followed in his footsteps and watched a couple go over the edge, and then followed myself.

By the time I'd watched more go down and all was packed up, the event was well and truly over, and I didn't get a chance to thank Sharkiefan for organising it. So thankyou, Sharkiefan, for organising and running this enjoyable event.

This turned out to be a very enjoyable event.
Chef Sarah did a nice job with the sausages and there was much convivial conversation.
Then a lot of us were distracted by the presence of a nearby D5T5 Challenge cache, and after Rohan Banana produced a rope, that was it.
Many apologies Sarah for missing the end of the event, as when I went back to say goodbye, you and the sausages had absconded.
Pam gained some tips about the Red Centre Experience details, so the whole thing was a big success.

It seems as though the bananas arrived at the event for the obligatory avoidance of the photos before hijacking the event to watch people throw themselves over a cliff.

I arrived at GZ right on time as the sausages & bacon were just waiting to be devoured .... lunch time!

A chat to some familiar faces and met few new ones as well. It wasn't long before a small group of us went to check out the nearby D5T5 which we qualify for and need the rating. Pity no one had the right gear, so back to the sausage sizzle for seconds.

Sorry I wasn't wearing red, purple was pretty close wasn't it?

At the last minute a Banana turned up with some string so off I went to jump off a cliff to sign a piece of paper.

Well in a case of, ill be there, no i wont, yes i can, I did actually manage to pull it all together to show up today. I put on my best blue shirt and joined in the fun. Tanks Sarah for the sausages and bacon and yummies and special free stuff.

Hiya folks! Just a reminder to wear RED!! Easy for me - I always wear red. Hopefully not too much of a chilly day but there is a shower forecast for mid morning! If it's not too warm some bbq will be just the thing.

Hi sharkiefan many apologies, I'm not able to be there for your event today or in my case tomorrow. Currently getting rained on in Seattle.
