Didn't take to long to find this cache, Nice contraption lots of ants at GZ,,, ahhh (that's me trying to get them off me..not an ant fan not unless it's Adam Ant.)
A reasonably obvious location with lovely views nearby. I find the flats in these high alpine areas very scenic.
Continued along from here to Mt St Gwinear before returning to Baw Baw.
Such a nice area for a run.
Thanks for the cache.

What a beautiful section of the park. Thanks for bringing me here. Favourite from me for the beautiful remote location and stunning wildflowers. I've added a picture of the flats to hopefully inspire others to come out this far. These caches don't get enough visits!
Found easily on an afternoon walk with the local bushwalking club. Thanks for the hide, I hope to come back and finish these off one day
Tftc BaLuke and Belle Akalea. Bandyoda's big baw baw day out commenced with some drive bys on the way up and then as many on foot as time permitted. Finished up with a reasonable haul over 9.6 km on simply a brilliant Easter day.
Another quick find. Log and cache are in good order.

Not one for the geokids, lovely day out watching the lizards scatter in front of us (and waving off the March flies) SL TFTC
Another cache high and dry on my Wab Wab tour.
After the crossing over too St Phillack I was on the home stretch, well sort of.
Onto a diferent trail now.
Fairly quick find on this one.

Day walk from St Gwinnear carpark. Hot day but a good breeze.
A clever cache indeed

A day walk with my geo friends from Gwinnear to baw baw. great day interesting cache
After an extremely long enforced break that many cachers had to take during this year. Either way I was keen to get out and sign my name in some tupperware.
So tagging along with ahomburg today on a nice stroll and maintenance trip up on Baw Baw. Once again I have been here in summer more times then I have in winter. And every time I think to myself how weird it is to see how empty they are.
Anyways thanks for the cache and taking me to the beautiful part of Victoria.

Cache found but temporary log inside was full so we extracted it and left a fresh piece of paper for the next cacher.

After reaching our turn around point we started heading back to the car. Slightly different direction than how we came in so we can grab a couple of extra caches on the way out. This was one of those which Illuka found (of course) as I looked in totally the wrong spot.
A nice quick find after a really long walk, it was a struggle for me to make it back to the carpark, but day1976 was completely fine!

Today I headed out with biggles1024 on a re-run to Mt. Baw Baw to try and clean up what we had failed to find last time some 3 and a half years ago as well as the ones we didn't get a chance at looking for.
We were now on the new lot that weren't here last time, we made our way to this one next, upon arrival the GPSr was point away from where GZ is but we were still able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to baluke for placing this cache.**

Heading back towards the car now, but a few more caches to find first. a quick and easy one here. Needs a new log sheet.
I was at a loss for something to do this long weekend, so a plan was hatched to hit Baw Baw for a camping trip staying overnight at Phillack Saddle and wandering around on the mountain and also in Baw Baw Village. The weather was absolutely perfect with temperatures in the mid 20s during the day and mid teens overnight. Little did I know that a whole lot of motor heads were also descending on the roads up the mountain for their annual race.
Many thanks to Baluke & BelleAkelea for the cache. TNLN.

Reperio at 1625.
As I continued my walk to Orites - all right, I took the small detour off Mueller's to grab this one, and decide which trail I should take to head up. Cache was quickly located in the obvious spot, and then it was decided that Tanjil would be best.
Gratias BaLuke.

With a week off from the normal grinding routine I sat down and wondered what to do.
With fine conditions forecast for the following couple of day I knew that a day trip to the southern high country and a region I haven’t been back to for a couple of years was a great idea. Quite a few caches had been published since I was last here and so got up early and left home at 6am to arrive at the car park by 8:30am.
Reviewing he cache map headed off up Muellers track with the main goal to find the 2 outer lying caches Gwinear & Orities. All up a 16km meander and was exhausted by days end. A clear indicator that my fitness needs to improve. Headed back down just after 4pm and was home by 6:15pm. An awesome day.
Wow getting to GZ had me unintenionaly taking on 4.5 star terrian on the return leg from finding Gwinear.
That track was terrible... Lost my favorite pen too.
Was very pleased for a quick find as frankly I was exhausted.[xx(]

Up at Baw Baw for the weekend, we had left the snowboards at home as the lifts are not yet turning. We woke up this morning to a nice fresh dusting of snow, and so decided to go for a walk on the cross country trails around the back of the resort.
This cache was a bit odd - we found it as Billy Shears had, with a corner of his map as the logbook. We duly signed the corner of his map, and continued on our way.
This part of the walk was quite spectacular, with the trees and groundcover making way for big areas of Baw Baw bog! As the trail out here is less-travelled, we began to sink a little more into the snow, probably even having enough ground cover for us to have broken out the XC skis. My skills probably aren't up to the challenge of these trails yet, however, so I was glad that we had opted to travel on the shoelace express today.
TFTC Baluke!

After looking in all the wrong places .. at two locations .. the cache was in the last placed I looked (aren’t they always!!) .. - the cache container had no log?? I placed a corner of my map in the cache as a temp log .... tftc.
*****************************
I’d been watching these three new caches since their release … and was surprised to see they were still undiscovered more than 5 weeks later … so I took advantage of the fact that I had a free weekend, and good weather … a great opportunity to snare them.
I had forgotten that I would have no signal in the area … so luckily I’d done some homework and read the hints and knew the rough location of each cache ..
The story ended with a happy ending .. 4/4 caches including three FTFs. A satisfying afternoon. tftc
