Cousin Bruce had a birthday weekend down at the Bellbrae Country Club (it is a place). We got to come along for a surf/dog walk at Torquay, and a late lunch back at the Country Club. In this sunny Autumn weather, it was a great day. This cache was the cherry on top - like Roaming Howie I looked elsewhere initially, but soon found the cache in excellent condition. Thanks Wiser than Owls for this low difficulty puzzle.

26-Mar-24
Took a little bit of searching but got there eventually

13-Oct-23
Worked this one out a while ago, but made the small detour this time on my way back from Anglesea.Easily found, but amusing hide, really. Given the lengths one has to go to to keep a cache hidden in urban areas, it's pretty finally to find one this big pretty much sitting on the side of the open road!Lovely country. I should turn off the highways more often.

Find # 12746

Found with Tyred n Cranky.

A family weekend away in Anglesea. Down here to enjoy and cache the area.

Last time I was in Anglesea was Oct 2018 and I had left a few unfound. So back again to claim some more finds in the area and tackle the AdLabs

Cache has been worked out for some time, glad to finally get down here to claim the smiley.

Found this one while out grabbing a few others on the coast. TFTC

31-Mar-23
I found this cache as I slowly made my way from Adelaide through southern Victoria towards the Mega event at Rutherglen, picking up a few caches of interest along the way.

Mixed weather today. The morning wasn’t t too bad, but it slowly got worse as I tried to dodge the showers.

Cache and contents are in good condition.

Thanks Wiser than Owls for the puzzle and the cache.

14-Mar-23
Found on a peaceful evening with the bushland smelling very nice here. Tftc

19-Feb-23
I took my niece and family away on their first camping trip. We headed down to Anglesea for the weekend and my niece had a ball. Beach, pool, jumping pillow, and sleeping in a tent all rolled into one. We packed up this morning and after an ice cream at the great ocean road chocolate emporium we went our separate ways, with me going caching if course.

This one tricked me! I was so focused on what I thought was the obvious hide location that I initially missed the cache about 5m further east.

Thanks Wiser than Owls for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Out for the day with LittleBoss2 in and around Anglesea. This was our last for the day as we're staying at the country club nearby. A great little puzzle and an easy find at GZ. Thanks for a puzzle even I could solve Wiser than Owls.

13-Feb-22
Visiting the area for the week with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache

19-May-21
Good coords and a good hint made for a quick find, which is always good after doing the puzzle.

Another day, another time we have teamed up with Rebel Acts to explore the scenic Bellarine Peninsula. Once again we are signing our logs as either SKI Pair, Rebel Acts or RASH. We have been in the area for well over a week now and still have a lot of unfound caches on our map. We’ve had a great time in the area with Rebel, his experience with caching is much larger than ours so we are learning as well as having a great time. Lots of trash talk about “amateur’s” versus “professionals” has caused quite a bit of laughter.

Thanks to all the local cache owners for giving us so many great caches, and showcasing this lovely area. We won’t manage to clean the area out this time, so we will need to come back another time. And we will be looking forward to it.

Found by Rebel Acts

I had to duck back up to Melbourne on Monday for an appointment but made it back Tuesday afternoon for a couple more days caching with Ski Pair, we had lots of laughs and the stirring is always fun, could not ask for better company.

Today we concentrated our efforts around Angelsea and a few in Geelong. This is one of the caches we found today, another cache from the solved pile finally found.

Logs signed as RASP (Rebel Acts Ski Pair)

Thanks Wiser than Owls for the cache.

On a trip to the Great Ocean road, this was solved over a year ago. But due to lock downs etc our trip had to be cancelled finally managed to collect it. all good thans for the cache

26-Apr-21
We decided to take a day off today and head down the coast for some rest and relaxation. We packed the geodogs into the geomobile and headed towards the Great Ocean Road. We had solved this cache and it was only a little off the route we were taking so we decided to see if we could find the cache. We arrived near GZ and parked carefully off the road. It was not long after parking that we were in possession of the cache. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Wiser than Owls.

04-Apr-21
We are enjoying the Easter break down here at Torquay So I pre solved a couple of puzzles and picked out a couple of multis to do when I had a chance.
Another nice quick find here after parking off free side of the road.
Thanks Wiser than Owls for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

*Found on the 15 Mar 2020 @ 8:43 am.*
*Cache find # 10833.*

This one has been sitting in the solved puzzle list for some time now, I didn't get around the finding it for the Mega and I haven't really been down this way for caching since.
Today I was on a mission but this one was only a short detour so I decided to have a look.
I looked around the GZ area and eventually found the cache not where I would think to look first.

**Thanks to Wiser than Owls for placing this cache.**

31-Aug-19
I had this cache and another mystery cache nearby on my radar for a while and had worked out the waypoints ages ago. Finally had the opportunity to go to GZ.
It took me a while to find it as there was no phone reception around there so I couldn’t check for the hint on the geocaching app. Could only use GPS there so I went in unsure where to look. Nearly gave up when I walked back to the car and saw something out the corner of my eye. There it was! TFTC.

14-Jul-19
I have had this one solved and on my to do list for quite some time and have never managed to get the chance to grab it. Today in wee hours of the morning I wasn't too far away and it happened to be the closest next piece of the puzzle I needed for the current Mystery at the Museum special that geocaching.com are running so it became my must do cache for the day.
With the road being very quiet I a manged a very quick find and was on my way home for some much needed sleep.
Thank you Wiser than Owls for the mystery

06-May-19
A chance to get out of town and head down, with Mrs Dragon, along the "Great Ocean Road" to take in the beauty that is around every turn as its been 20 plus years since I had traveled that road and she has never been along that route.
We love the vibrancy of Melbourne and Victoria in general and as such trips back here are not infrequent.

We had made the decision to head to the far end and work our way back at our leasure and as we come from a country with active volcano's and a rough west coast (Black Sand) thought that it was appropriate to explore the volcanic and coastal history of Victoria. Of course I would have liked to stop at every cache along the way but prudence (and fear of Mrs Dragon) meant that I concentrated on Earthcaches along our route, with a few others thrown in for good measure.
As we were going to be stopping for the night nearby, it was a chance to shoot out a d grab a couple more caches before dinner.

Nice quick find here, all good
thanks for the placement

13-Apr-19
School holidays mean that I become the kid's personal Uber service (without pay). Today I had to drive Master frilk to Lorne so that he could spend the weekend with a friend...at least it gave me a great opportunity to cache further afield.

I had solved this for the Mega several years ago however for whatever reason I hadn't grabbed it. I remedied that today. TFTC.

A quick find we just stopped over and saw this great cache.

20-Jan-19
Last find while on the way home from today's bushwalk down at Aireys. The puzzle reminded me a little of another game that I can't quite put my finger on Wink and the coordinates it gave were pretty spot on so I was soon signing the log at 16:30 and was on my way.

TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Wiser than Owls.

25-Dec-18
Out and about on a Xmas mission with the youngest member of BFMC. His goal was a nap, mine was a cache or two. This one has been sitting in the solved pile for some time now. A nice quick find at GZ while sleeping beauty did his thing. TFTC.

20-Nov-18
I like an easy puzzle.
A trip east to Parkville 2018 had us stopping on the way to collect a few caches and again stopping on the way home. Well that’s what cachers do when they head to a mega don’t they.

The tree at GZ is a magnet!!

Well life is really busy this past few month and TrailStevo and I who normally cache 10-12 times a month found ourselves on our second only outing this month. We headed out earlier than usual Sunday adventure as we were going to be exploring 2 hours from home. Ariive at GZ no.1 at 16.10 and proceeded to follow the trail south. We know if we get on a good run on trails like this 25 cache/hr is achievable and we were well on target after the first hour. After reaching the T junction we continued on south where we intended to cache our way to dinner in Anglesea. Picked up a prior solved puzzle on the way through and the Chocolataire multicache, wasn’t open unfortunately . We continued on the Anglesea (now 7pm) where the Charcoal Chicken place was just about to close, but luck us they mad us a Snitzel Burger and Chips and gravy which was much needed because I was starving!
Smashed the food down and headed back to the T junction for our home straight 30-40 cache heading east and home. Did get stopped by one local on this stretch as we were looking for the letterbox cache. They were not impressed with the Geocachers loitering in the area. We said we understood her concerns, then proceeded to continue geocaching….oops! Was a fun evening out, and thanks to all the CO’s for the massive effort in hiding and maintain this series. Found 100 cache in the end and finished up at 9.45pm for the drive. Thanks for getting us out of the house.
PS. Collected the clues, have no idea what to do with them.

Find No. 2147. Found at 1.09pm

Down in the Torquay area for the weekend to take our geodog Penny to the beach (and she loved it), and also to do some caching. At this time of year the weather was good to us for both activities. On Saturday, first up we concentrated on getting the caches in Torquay before moving onto the G2Anglesea Trail.

We started the trail at #44 and finished at #87 making our way back to Anglesea where we were staying. Most caches were easy to find, some a bit harder. Good to see different containers and sizes along the way.

Today, Sunday we are doing a few more on the trail before we head for home, starting at #118, finishing at #88 and grabbing a couple of others along the way. Heading back to do #117 and multi nearby (couldn't do earlier due to muggles nearby) we made a detour down the road to grab this one.

Catching up on a puzzle that I missed when I was at the Mega Surf Coast Event.
Solved the puzzle when at home in Brisbane and came to find it when I was down visiting and staying in Geelong.
Arrived at GZ and it was a quick find.
Signed the log and returned the cache to where I found it.
My Mum and I love the trees along these country roads.

A nice little puzzle and a quick find today. It seemed like a good spot to leave a travel bug that I had with me.

Ah, last official day of school holidays... GeoHubby was able to get some time off work, and apparently we 'owed' the eldest GeoKid a trip to the Great Ocean Road chocolate place. Made it an all-in family experience by combining with some geocaching on the way!

After our chocolatey afternoon tea, went after another couple of caches on the way home. The GeoKids were all sugared up so got them out of the car to help with this one and the eldest found the cache.

Log signed and all replaced as found. TB retrieved.

TFTC!

**Smile # *4624* / Mystery # *534***

I was out and about down this way today, it's been a little while since I have so I detoured to grab this puzzle that I had solved when it popped up but never got the chance to get there. Thankfully the road was quiet as parking here wasn't easy. I made a mad dash to the co-ords and found straight away. Tucked it back and was off again. Stamped and replaced as found.

**Thanks for placing this puzzle cache Wiser than Owls**
**Cache container and log in good order**

After finishing work early, we were sitting around doing nothing due to a power outage and we thought what can we do to pass some time? We know what, lets go and get some caches!
So we headed off down to Anglesea to smash over this series with the mysteries already presolved.
Luckily the night was warm and no sight of rain making it all very enjoyable in such a lovely area.
As it started to get dark , we watched the various colours of the sunset before bringing out the torches to guide us to the Tupperware.
Thanks Wiser than Owls for the variety of caches in this very beautiful part of the coast.

Still heading our way back home via a bunch of puzzles that the Queen had solved on the fly over the weekend, and this was next on the list. This seemed to be a nice quiet bit of toad with nice shade which came in handy as it was a bit difficult to get the big Prado parked off the road enough so as not to impede traffic, but dad jumped out and made a quick dash, find and sign and was back in the car before a local vehicle turned up.

Thanks Wiser than Owls for another cool cache and hide.

Arrived Friday night and staying at the local caravan park with a group of SA cachers who I had meet and cached with at the last Mega at Casey Fields so lots of laughs and some good times with great food and a few wines. What more could you want.

Day 6 of my week long visit to Victoria. Cool
Today our team was to be GOTHS plus 1. GOTHS being the Geocachers Of The HillS - a group of SA cachers. Myself, mogni and Aussie M&M were the GOTHS members and local cacher Bushfire was the plus 1 [:o)]
After the hectic competition of yesterday it was time to just pick up a few caches at our leisure. Caches with lots of favourite points, ones that seemed a bit interesting, some more of the surf coast caches and a few others along the way were targeted Smile
After a long lunch at the waterfront in Geelong it was time for a walk! And then it was time to head back towards Anglesea and the last of the events. Finding more caches as we went of course.
Time to get the last few puzzles solved from the event out the way. [^]
Thanks Wiser than Owls. Big Grin

Day 2 of the Mega, and I'm finally participating in a cache-wise manner. It's early (pre 8:00 am), but there's a lot to do today. Go! Go! Go! Thanks heaps, Wiser Than Owls!
