It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I took an evening walk from my accommodation into town to get the town-based caches and then pick up some takeaway for dinner, after having finished the LGA series in the afternoon. Took a minute or so to spot the cache, but thankfully there were no muggles around. Awesome hide, very clever, I knew that something didn't look quite right upon first glance. The information sign here was very useful, now I know to check out the conveyer belt tomorrow! TFTC Fernweh*!
We looked all over the sign for this one expecting a magnetic cache- was not so. A clever little hide here which had us looking for a while, we don't really think the hint is helpful on this one. Thanks Fernweh*
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 44 - Wandering to Collie via Boddington. On a very overcast day, with a bit of a mist about in the morning I headed off from Wandering. The cluster of caches at Crossman was first, then a difficult but interesting look around Boddington. Plenty of interesting artwork to see and after three shops, I found a morning snack. I visited a few cemetery caches and the did some more LGA caches to flesh out the days caching. The last cache was a tribute to mining and done just before arriving in Collie to get set up and go and have a look around town. The first item on my Boddington list went a lot smoother than the rest of the visit. I like the in built tool to extract the cache. Thanks for the cache Fernweh*47570.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Adventure Lab Tag A#455**Albida**
Found it after a search with some fellow geocachers who were onsite when I arrived - wasnt able to leave much of a mark as log is full. Thanks for the cache!
Staying the night in the free camp, grandchildren came for a visit so we went geocaching. TFTC
Basing ourselves at Wandering and knocking off some LGA's. We think we might relocate to this lovely town. Quite impressed with what it has to offer. Tftc
Found on may way from Perth to Albany, on a very circuitous route with two nights on the road. Thanks for the cache Fernweh*!
TFTC. Nice quick find. Thanks for bringing us to Boddington. We enjoyed the artwork, sculptures and all the roses that were in bloom.
After camping here last night we made a quick find. Log is getting very full so signed 10K. Tftc
Boddington camping in the RV area.
Found the 1 cache in town before heading out on the LGA trail.
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

The Better Half was down in the dumps as her operation had been cancelled again this week so decided that she would like to go caching today and picked the Boddington area for the trip. We collected the family from Wellard and headed south. The first cache visited was about 6:20 am with the last cache was around 3:00 pm. Was a beautiful day to be out caching except for the temperature which never got above 10 degrees after starting below 3 degrees.
Most caches were found without problems, logs signed 'CTBHG&G' and caches returned as they were found.
Thanks to the cache owners for placing all these caches for other cachers to find.

After not finding it last time we passed through we came back and had a quick find. Thanks
Found. It took longer to sign the log, than to find. TFTC, and yes, we did read the information board.
Out with the family visiting some towns we wouldn't otherwise think to go, getting very close to 500 finds (I think this makes 497). A quick grab while getting the info for various other caches in the area.
New caches around my home area, so nice to get some more finds

Thanks Fernweh* for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 09:55:00. This was my Find 3 for today out of a Total number of 7 Finds and 0 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5611.
Today the geocaching plan for TaurusSix and I was to head back out to the LGA series between Williams and Boddington to collect another string of the caches in this series. This will be the fifth time we have headed out there and we are really enjoying this series. Today we are starting at the Boddington end and we will also be collecting other caches around the area too. It is a perfect spring day and ideal to be out and about geocaching one of the best days in what feels like a long time. The fog patches were still lifting as we made our way here making the countryside look even more beautiful than ever.
This is our forty second cache find of the day along with the local Adventure Lab. We really like the town of Boddington and all the Street Art we had a lovely walk around town and along the river. Once at this gz we found the cache quite quickly. TFTC Fernweh

After staying with friends in Nanson for a few weeks the time had come to start heading home again but not without stopping and grabbing a few caches along the way.
As the weather was looking pretty good we decided to stay in the Perth area concentrating on Adventure Labs. earth caches and virtual's to avoid the abundance of school holiday muggles.
We are really enjoying this town and the fantastic art works here. We are truly amazed at the skill of some people as we drove around town doing the lab and a couple of other caches. We stopped here to grab the earth cache and of course admire another comical art work. As there were no muggles to be seen we decided to try our luck on this one.
This one took way longer than it should have as I was sure I had looked and felt over the most obvious location. I expanded the search to the outer rim and then expanded the search even further and then looking back at where I had been I couldn't believe my eyes as there it was sitting out in the open as proud as punch.
After adding our name to the log I then returned it to a slightly different location where it's not quite as visible.
Thanks Fernweh for the cache and for showing us this sculpture.
