Logs
Made a quick PnG here whilst an AMG blasts past me up the hill. Thanks Noonie1990 for the cache
Found installed a magnetic container as there wasn't one. Just the log sheet bag
Catching up with late logs.We are traveling with Geoturtle 37, Papi4506 & The Drovers to do an assault on Bathurst and surrounds. We solved all the puzzles we could before we left home which was also an enjoyable part of this journey. We had a great time today doing a southerly loop picking up any caches that came up on the map finding all types of cache sizes and hides but unfortunately we have got behind in our logging and are trying to catch up now.We can no longer remember the caches individually so we apologize for the generic log, it's certainly not meant to take anything away from our experience, it's just the old minds just ain't what they used to be.We signed the logs as The Mob.Many thanks for adding this piece to the game board for our enjoyment.
Day 2 of our Bathurst trip with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.Today we did a lot of country driving, through nearby towns. The scenery was lovely with the trees turning a multitude of different colours for winter. All puzzles were solved before the trip. This is one of the caches we stopped to find along the way.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Noonie1990, for us and others to find.
We didn't realise that we had found this cache as it is now only a plastic bag with the log in it. We had dropped it and thought it was rubbish. Picked up and replaced where it was found after adding our names to the log. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
After spending a couple of weeks in Canberra attending the Mega Event it was time to head back to Brisbane. We have a few weeks to travel so we are meandering up through country NSW. Today we're on our way to Ben Chifley Dam to camp for the night. No problems finding this cache along the way. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches for us all to find.
Decided to take a quick run out here this arvo and grabbed the cache on the way back. Thank goodness I had a grabbing tool because the hairy creature guarding the cache freaked me out!Luckily I was able to park well enough off the road ... even luckier that no traffic came past to worry about it so much. Lovely view from GZ ... TNLNSL.TFTC ...
Reperio 12:43Today the kids and I headed off to Bathurst and beyond for a day of exploring and caching. As we headed further away from Bathurst, this was our next stop. A short search here soon had what we were looking for before heading off again. Gratias Noonie1990As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Cache is sodden and unreadable. Have added a new log paper. Note sent for maintenance. TFTC
Hi there, as per previous logs- this one is mush and probably unreadable. I’ve put an extra strip of paper in and a new snaplock k bag but you might wanna retrieve the old logs. Cheers mate
No longer magnetic. Replaced plastic container, log ok,but has been wet in the past. TFTC
No magnetic container but found the log paper in a pretty destroyed small zip lock bag. TFTC. GC needs maintenance.
Found with Sixftundernover whilst on covid deployment with RFS - LOG IS MUSH - Needs new log
TFTC. Sorry about the delayed log. I was planning a trip to Rockley and realised I hadn't logged the finds from a previous caching day
A quick find to start the day well. It’s good to see the country looking so well after the long dry spell. TFTC
Found on our 2 week trip to Bathurst and surrounds with Roostaman.

**# 24032** Found on another fine sunny Autumn day with MrsRoosta.
Another trip around while at Bathurst for a few days.
Mainly good safe hides and nice quick finds.
Sadly, this place is becoming the micro and nano capital.
Thanks for the cache Noonie1990,

OCW frazerdaze and marj01. House sitting at White Rock for a week has provided an opportunity to do some geocaching runs around Bathurst - mainly TRLT series indispersed with a number of trads and puzzle caches. During the day we saw lovely scenery, lots of sheep and cattle, a few foxes and one deer in the forestry area. We even encountered fire persons doing a burn off which included two of the caches we were chasing. Please excuse the generic logs and thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches and adding to our enjoyment. For expediency all logs were signed OMF.
On a big weekend caching with oldmorty and Frazeydaze and logs have signed OMF.
Would like to thank all cache owners, for making and maintaining the caches.

Hill End and Mudgee weekend April 2018. I set out late on Thursday after a small car battery issue. I only stopped once before a night at Bummeroo ford. Friday took me to Orange via many spread out caches between Oberon and Bathurst. I spent the night at Macquarie woods. Saturday started foggy and then warmed up. I was heading to Hill end, and did make it, but I had to give up on the Bridle track due to a rockfall. Late in the evening I did find a spot along the Turon river and the very bumpy northern section of the Bridle trail. Sunday had me finishing the TRLT trail from Mudgee to Gulgong and a few missed ones in the middle of nowhere. The last day was a simple drive home from Sofala. A great weekend !
Plenty of roadside stops today.
Thanks.

Bathurst Day 2
Todays trip was round trip out to Chiffley Dam then home via the PGP caches.
We saw lots of farming land along some dirt back roads. Found some good caches in interesting locations.

We have had a wonderful time caching around Bathurst and on the back roads, love the rural scenery. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Noonie1990 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found with nissan 65 on a few days away caching. Day 2 of our 4 day rd trip. Shame about the weather but it wont stop the keen cachers. Thankyou for the cache .
14808. Found during a tour up around the Bathurst region with minniek.
With a full day available for a caching run for my birthday we headed up towards Bathurst to fill in many gaps and have a great days caching. This was the next find for the day. A nice quick easy drive-by fine - love it. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we were off to the next one.

I suggest to fitzy_1965 that we should go caching for his birthday. He chose the Bathurst area. So with a list compiled, my only request was to grab some unloved caches so I could finally complete a challenge cache. We managed to fill in a lot of gaps and some previous DNF's.....although I think we ended up with more DNF's for the day

A quick and easy find today, the wind was still howling and did not stop until later tonight which was a relief.
We parked next to the Chifley Dam sign and walked back to the likely location. We were expecting an instant find - we've seen so many locations like this that you could be forgiven for saying there is a default hiding style. However, the default cache wasn't there, so ("Oh no!") a moment of panic ensued. After Toriaz stopped screaming and running around with her hair on fire, and the fire brigade left after washing her into the dam with their high pressure hoses, we settled down to discover the cache may not have quite been what we were expecting, but it was happy to play with us nevertheless. Thanks

We have this thing going where we walk at least 10,000 steps every day (currently at 346 day streak), and steps are hard to get on days when you're on a long caching trip. So we actually parked a little up the road and walked back to this one, instead of parking unsafely right at GZ. Took us a bit of searching to locate, as it was a little different to what we were expecting.
Thanks

My wife jumped out and made the find so we weren't parked here too long as the road is a little narrow.

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.
Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.
After finding this one I went for a walk along the dam wall to see it just slightly spilling over the spillway.
Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.
Day 2 of our caching trip and we were out on the roads again. We headed to Oberon and some of the back roads around Bathurst before getting a few more caches in Bathurst. By days end we’d put a good dint in our "beyond the Great Divide" so decided to head for home. Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.
The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.
Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!
What a great spot!

Just spending a short time in the Bathurst region and decided to add some more smiley faces to our map.
None of the caches we looked for were difficult to find and there was a variety of sizes and types of hides. The cache name says it all, so it was an easy find. Log was signed and all replaced as found. Thank you to Noonie1990 for another cache in the area.
