An afternoon in Mt Pilot NP collecting a few caches and enjoying the spring weather and the glorious wildflowers.Wandered down from the Christmas cache through the bush. Lots of orchids here including Eastern Mantis orchid and the Salmon Sun Orchid (open on a sunny day). Quick find at GZ - a nice spot.TFTC Bingley3683
A lovely sunny winter's day after a miserable wet and cold week...So we decided to make the most of it and chase some unloved caches in the Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park, placed by this famous COThinking the roads might be a bit muddy, we were pleasantly surprised with only a few deep water crossings and ruts to navigate in the 4WD geovehicleA bit of walk into GZ, prob approached from the wrong direction, but lucky there was no waterfall today not even a little one, with a typical hide by this CO, nice spot, TFTC Bingley
Discovered there was another cache nearby, so off we walked to find the tiny waterfall. Just a trickle splashing over the rocks. The wildflowers are waking up with the warmth of the last couple of days. SL at 12pm Left: pathtag Took: photo of waterfall. #10,066 TFTC and the walk Bingley - nice day for it.
Lovely public holiday Monday, what a chance to get some caches!!!! So off we headed to get a power trail. For reasons unknown to herself, Mrs Lost Wanderer thought it was a good idea to get a quick Bingley cache not far from the road. Only a few hundred metres. As it turned out, approaching from the other direction would have been better as we had to cross the little creek which resulted in a few wet shoes from some of the kids. Thanks for the hide once again Bingley.
The little waterfall was rather dry today despite the rain that has happened in the NE recently… maybe not recent enough?
We found the cache quickly… retrieved easily.
We enjoyed the quiet ambiance here.

Wow!! What a beautiful hidden gem. Lovely to hear and then see a gentle trickle flowing over the falls
Out getting a little adventure lab planned with SomethingDifferent and this was one of the stops.
After a few slippery moments coming into this it was a nice spider filled walk out to this one it was nice to think we had the whole area to ourselves. Another great cache in great condition

Finished work at lunch time, the drizzle was falling, could not be bothered staying at home; never do. Picked caches that required a short walk off a track because it was so damp. Have waterproof boots, but not trousers. Started off and ended up in another lovely part of the park. Falls just flowing over the rocks. Hopefully we will get a downpour before I bring my partner back here to claim the find as a team. Took a TB and logged it accordingly
Wow!! What a beautiful hidden gem. Lovely to hear and then see a gentle trickle flowing over the falls today. Thanku for discovering & sharing Bingley. After signing the log with Cristabel, the dads walked back to where we left the cars on the bear track while the rest of us followed the creek back upstream to the tx track for pickup. On to Barambogie...
Im completely in love ... What a truely gorgeous spot, nothing and no one to disturb my exploration. Was a quick and easy walk down and find from my parking spot I could stay here forever, so tranquil.
Left our usual explorer card in the cache and now to take some incredible photos as i head back to the car

Well, isn't this a cracker of a spot....
After the recent rains, the whole place was carpeted in lush green grass and the walk in was very pleasant. There was no water flowing anywhere today, but we could picture it in full flow.
The cache was found after a short roundy-roundy, and it was all nice and dry inside.
On the way back out to the car for a bit of lunch, I thought that this would be a nice place to camp the night.
I can't believe more people aren't coming out to see this place.
Thanks Mick for the great hidden gem.

This took a trek through the bush to find. No water cascading today and it gave JrMiler a bit of rock scrambling practice. I'm glad MrNine is pretty tall! Took pathtag and left smurf. TFTC

A nice little trickle coming over the edge, but what is spooky is that there is no run off from the bottom and down the hill. The water goes straight into the ground and disappears, it almost looks like a backyard water feature just recirculating the water.
Interesting spot, great day to be walking in the Park.
TNLN , TFTC , Cheers.

A quick detour after work this evening to see if I could spy the little waterfall and get another smiley
I drove as far as I could, but not as far as I wanted, a big tree has fallen across the road and halted my progress. All was ok however and after a short easy walk I arrived at the waterfall trickling away. I soon found the cache nearby and made my mark in the blank logbook that awaited.
A very pleasant spot indeed, one that seems to pop out of nowhere as the area around is only a gentle decline. To many mozzies around today to stay for to long so on my way I went.
Thanks for finding another surprising location in this park Bingley, and for the cache!
