I like library caches as they are always clean and dry and there is always a friendly librarian to borrow a pen from, as I had to. Visiting some really interesting gardens in Inglewood area. TFTC
Popping in to Inglewood for some supplies, we found a park and discovered we were right next to this cache. Now where could it be?After a good read of the cache page, we eventually found it, not quite where it was supposed to be, but we corrected this on return. What a great idea for a cache placement! Favourite point from us. Thanks fjle #1181
I was passing through Inglewood on this cold but sunny morning and in no particular rush so decided to find a couple of caches I have driven past.The first was no joy - a multi that I walked through twice but couldn't get the check sum to align (I have since so hopefully will have the find in due course).The second cache was this one which is much easier if one reads the cache page! Today I fluked the right direction and after a short walk past some numbers I was quickly at the right ones to make the cool find.It was very busy here being the first day of school holidays!T F T C fjle.
Got here at 2:55 only to be told the library was closing at 3 today as the staff had to go into town for a meeting. Asked for assistance which turned out to be just as well as the cache was in the wrong location (though nearby) but the librarian knew what it looked like. Signed and popped back into the correct spot. Thanks fjle.
I am a real fan of these types of caches, maybe done 20 of them now. All good and dry at GZ and a local helped me track it down.Took Friday off for travel as Im heading up into Taranaki for a couple of days out New Plymouth way. The last few times Ive visited Ive been time poor and have done Bulls- NP-Bulls in an extended driving day and been dead beat when I got back. This time I gave somewhere to stay so can enjoy my journey there, my time there, and the trip back. Also less pressure when searching and the Autumn weather is being kind too. Redeemed a couple of DNFs created a few more and had a nice time. Good to complete some Ad Lab series too and the Taranaki region COs are thanked for their hides and maintenance.
I love these types of caches,Came up from Wellington for a Guiding training so I my go and check the two caches near the hall before we got there as part of introduction to Geocaching turned into a that's only an extra few hundred meters it'd be rude not to
This was my very first cache, and I am officially hooked! Thank you so much! Great hiding place btw.
Day 14 New Plymouth to Palmerston North, New Zealand. On the homeward run now. Still plenty of time to stop and enjoy NZ.Stopped to get a coffee and couldnt resist a library cache. Worked through the Dewey system and located the hide.Log signed and replaced as found.Thanks for the traditional cache fjle #7,902
This was really cool to find. Did need help from staff but it was really cool to see dates from 2017.
Took the opportunity since we were here during opening hours. We've seen something like this before, but it still made us smile. Another FP from us. Tftc
So good! Some people are so creative and this is a fab idea! Tftc and happy new year
Spent plenty of time looking for the wrong numbered booked. Note to self: six and nine is not the same

We were racing against time to make it here, not often we get to cache on days when these are open. This was a very clever little hide, we always enjoy this sort of cache. Well worth adding to your favorite point tally with one from us. TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)…
Auckland Anniversary: The Taranaki weather had been particularly good to us this weekend, considering the mayhem it had sparked further up the country. It felt almost anticlimactic to be going home today, but work beckons…
It quickly realised where this cache was located, so we consulted the hints and entered the premises. After a few random circuits, we quickly collared this well executed cache. No problems with access, even on a busy Taranaki work day. An easy favourite - Thanks fjle. TFTC.

Today in the morning we visited also the library to find this awesome cache.
After some unsuccessful tries we ask a very friendly employee. She gave us the right direction and now we could sign the cool logbook.

School holidays so time for a tiki tour to visit friends in Taranaki. Driving through Inglewood collecting some caches, and fortunately at the right time to find this one. Ground zero was quiet and it was a quick find. Thank you.
#13,200. Time to visit the Municipal Library & Offices on Rata Street in Inglewood. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find once at the right spot. Very nicely themed hide. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

There were more than one shelf it could have been. Found it with help from the lovely staff. Have been past several times but never when library was open. Glad to collect this morning. Thanks.
Awesome hide. My family was passing through and managed to catch this one in time! Loved the hunt
Good find with woolwood9 on the way to Inglewood.
*Thanks for the reason to stop for the cache.*

Nice easy find as we are passing through town. Gk soon spotted the required numbers and I spotted the cache. Great team work. Now to have a look at the nearby adventure lab caches. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
This was my only DNF today. I walked back and forth a few times and saw nothing matching the cache page.
However my search was a little blocked by the constant foot traffic so I'll try again another, quieter, day

We were headed to New Plymouth to pick up something for the farm so took the opportunity to stop for this cache - I've lost track of the number of times we've passed by here before but always at the wrong time.
It took a while to locate what we needed but we got there in the end.
Thanks for setting this up for us to find.

It was nice to look around and find this one next time imma have stickers and things on hand
ANZAC weekend in Taranaki. Focused on Adventure Labs and also whatever will be handy. This hide was one of them.
I had to ask member of staff for an extra hint as it soon to be closed.

Slipped in here right before closing while Americarna was on. Was a perfect opportunity to come sign this one off finally. I remember Mum signing it a few years back so this time we came armed with stickers and added lots to the book. FP for a cool cache idea plus it’s placed in one of my favourite places. TFTC
I have an hour to spend checking my out Inglewood while my daughter is busy. Great hide. A pleasant place to spend a while. Thanks
Very interesting toy museum across the road and this is a very cool cache. Glad that the library are aware of it as we were not stealthy enough. TFTC
Tripping around the New Plymouth area, we stopped in to see the Fun Ho! Toy museum and had lunch at Subway. Pulled out my phone to see if there were any caches nearby. Found it! Very neat hide. tftc.
A well decorated cache.
Jude_E, NosyNel and I are continuing on our figure of 8 tour of the North Island collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time. TFTC.

Ethness, Nosynel and I are on a caching adventure. Our goal is to find all the TMGT caches in a big figure 8 across the centre of the North Island. We are travelling around the mountain today. A nice quick find! Thank you.

Ethness discovered that there was a cache in a library. We all love those. I am on a North Island Figure of Eight tour. For the first 4 days I spend time in the Bay of Plenty with my husband JDScout in Rotorua. Now I am on part two of the eight loop near the end of our looo, staying in New Plymouth. This part is being done with my good friends Ethness and Jude_E.
Thanks fjle for creating this hide. It was find 9062 for me.

Cool thanks for the description sent us in the right place after a little search found it
Did one of these in manly in Sydney years ago. This was easier as that one required a bit of research to get to the cache. Found with little blue hen. Favourite added. Tftcsl
A quick easy find of a fun cache, helped by the hint as there seemed to be some disorder on the shelves. A favourite from us. TFTC
So many moa. A lovely place that we wouldn't have visited otherwise. Found with mr c on our travels from the UK thank you.
Arrived here just on 9am to get this one tagged. Loved this one. cheers. Fav from me..
Day 8 - Saturday 21 December. A long day from New Plymout to Egmont, then Stratford and back to New Plymouth for a few well earned ZZZZs.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

One problem about going on a huge geocaching trip, is logging so late from the find. I gave this a favourite and dropped in a path tag and took a trackable, according to mu cache notes, but for the life of me I cannot remember the cache. I gave it a favourite? I wish I knew why.
Day eight of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is up the mountain!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Nice and easy one, just what we like when it's a bit drizzly.
Up here for an awesome weekend jaunt with Team Gators, TheWanglers and Karma Reprint to do a loop of the mountain in 48 hours grabbing as many caches as we could while having a good laugh. Logs signed as some derivative of (KT)^2
Cheers fjle for the cache

A planned geocaching trip to the USA was shelved (but is all go for this time next year!) so we came up with a weekends Plan B. Taranaki with TheWanglers, KarmaReprint and KiwiMoose - logs signed (TK)^2 or a variation of. A really fun trip with the forecast rain and thunder seemingly always in the distance but never hindering us. A really fun weekend.
Arrived in New Plymouth; grabbed the rental and hit the road running - aiming for Hawera....
Way cool - just happened to be the right place at the right time.....bit of an investigation led to the clever find and sign. Loved it. Cheers!

A plan was hatched for a few of us to head to America for a Mad Mission. With life getting a bit crazy a downsized trip was organised as I had sorted childcare for the cachelets. The big America trip is now set for next year. We asked a member of our crew if we could go to Nelson, Dunedin, Auckland, Wellington, Hastings the answer all came back "I don't have many to find there". We left it to that member to suggest an area. He came up with New Plymouth and a loop around the mountain. That's a go from the rest of us. We sorted puzzles, gpxs, motels and a car and hit the ground running. The forecast was doom, gloom, rain, hail and lightning. Oh well, sounds exciting. We had very little of any of the weather that affected our caching and found we had all overpacked (thank God!).
Day 1: We grabbed the car and started caching at 2pm and made it to Hawera after 8pm settled into our accommodation and had a bit to eat and hit the town before calling it quits for the day.
Awesome, love these caches and we were in the area at the right time. Fav from me.
Thanks for the cache fjle.
