First cache of today Visiting Mittagong from Canberra Thanks for the lovely hide
First find with Baristayan on Sunday morning while caching in and around Mittagong. Loved the little container! Quite liked ground zero too, really well hidden away despite its proximity to the road and the park. Thanks!
Checking trees closer to the end of the fence, where the coords let me, first. Nothing, I repositioned twice and found in an obvious off the ground spot in the 4th tree I searched. Witb coffee in hand and maybe not quite awake yet at this early hour this certainly felt much harder than it needed to be. Thank you HappyUke for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
After an epic walk in the bush yesterday, today Tankengine and I decided to have a slow caching day before heading home. We had an awesome start to the day with breakfast in Mittagong at the Station Coffee House. I ate the best corn fritters ever! We did a few caches, caught up with the gang for some more caches then headed home by late afternoon. All in all a great weekend away. Plenty of caches found, good company and some great food. This cache: I liked this spot and the cute cache was quick to find. Tftc!!!
You can still assess the cache. It is on the outside of the fence... no need to pass the trees
I said jokingly to my family as I ducked out of the car on the highway that I would be 45 minutes, but as it turned out thats exactly how long it took to find this one. As the CO suggested its easily accessible and you dont need to cross the fenced off area, however my GPS was consistently sending me to the wrong tress which had lots of very likely hiding places. Finally, as I got the times up message from Mrs LegoLads, I decided to check one more tree a couple away from where I had been searching. Found the sneaky but fun little cache within 30 seconds. Thanks for keeping this one going, I also have very fond memories of the rocket here having grown-up in the area about 35 years ago and have often wondered where it went!
Cache is still there and you can easily get to cache from Regent Street side of park.Happy caching
So fun! Dont look at photo if you want to know what the container is! Great find! - The TomatoTurtles
Thanks for the cache! It was my first one. I had a laugh when I saw it was a minion!!
Hint was helpful. About 10 metres from post coordinates. What lovely cache to find hiding ready to be found . TFTC HappyUke
Fun container! Thanks HappyUke! (Wish the rocket was still here though - fun times!)

Day 2/4 of our Mittagong/Goulburn Trip.
Today we decided to cache around Mittagong, grabbing some good DTs and some other caches along the way. We had a great time doing some awesome caches in this area.
Quick find using the hint, Container wasn’t shut but log still dry.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache HappyUke

After a couple of past very quick visits to this area, we’ve come back to spend a day caching around. We’re aiming at better DTs this time, plus whatever else pops up in front of us.
Starting in the cold early morning it looks like it will be a great day…
A false start up the mountain before the rocket park was needed….

I wonder if I came here as a kid?
We used to holiday down here every year.
This is a nice park. What a shame there is no children's equipment these days. I couldn't see any evidence of the past rocket - I guess the fun police removed it.
The hint was very specific but I found the cache elsewhere. I guess some people can't read, or count. After signing the log I replaced the cache to match the hint, seemed like a better spot anyway.
By the way, the last name on the log is Laighside Legends.
Has the person from 14-5 really found the cache???

Found It!
The coordinates seemed a little out but the hint took me straight to the cache. No kids here at night which made things easier to.

Coordinates changed from:

Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 27.093 E 150° 27.002
Distance from original: 148.5 feet or 45.3 meters.
Haven't been able to get replacement camo so I'm moving it to a less exposed location.
Let me know how the coords are as GPS was a little bouncy, thanks
Happy caching and stay safe

A very sudden Park with a very sorry sundial looking for some sun. Coordes spot on – log dry. TFTC
Taking advantage of free train travel to visit Mittagong. Morning tea in the park followed by a quick find by Geokid 1.
A quick find as I had just parked 67m away and could not resist, now hopefully off to find a burrito for lunch. Plenty of squelching in the mud and on the path nearby.
Getting away to the Southern Highlands for some caching as this is an area I have previously largely ignored, save for Forest of Fear. It was my intention today to just "go nuts" caching until my heart was content and see new places and hopefully get 10k steps, and I ended up with 11k so I'm happy.

Found this on a quick walk with my friend, had quite a bit of fun for my first time Geocaching!!
Found on the ground near the location. Signed and replaced to where I think it fell from.
Staying in Mittagong for a few days. After a DNF yesterday I was disappointed as I can only escape our for a short time. But this one revived my spirits so a Fav point. TFTC HappyUke
I found it, it was so cool wouldn’t of found it without the hint so much fun to do! 19/2/2022
Down here with our car club at the lake to have a last drink for the year and had time to grab a few. TFTH.
Out caching with mrwhiskers76 today. The coordinates were spot on and a helpful hint. It’s a bit chilly to be wearing shorts today! Thank you.
