12:38:00 PM. A shame we didn't walk further down the path to find the gate. We bush bashed in to GZ then found the fire trail. We had a good search before the better half called out she had found it. Outer container is broken but log is dry in it's own container. Log signed. We found the co-ords out by 20m on both our GPS's. Took the easy way out. Thanks for the cache cambam001

Having travelled up to the Sunshine Coast for the day for work, I had finished my meeting with plenty of time to spare for some geocaching to round out the afternoon. With a few caches already found, it was time to head off to my accommodation to check in. With plenty of daylight still in hand, I headed back out to see what other caches I could discover before sunset.

Noting the previous DNF I was a bit apprehensive as to whether or not I would be successful here. A read of some previous logs gave me encouragement of where I should be looking and it didn't take too long at all before the cache was located safe and well. Maybe the previous hunter was distracted by the prospect of some exotic flora.Wink TFTC

After poking and prodding in every possible spot, we finally found the cache much closer to the fork and the track than the GPS suggested. But, as things tend to go, the pen would not work! So, back to the car for another writing stick...at least it was easy to find the second time.

Nice piece of bush. Thanks!

Found today after dropping the geo-pup off to boarding..
Obviously me being me I took the hardest track possible to the cache.. spent WAY to long searching in all the wrong places and nearly gave up SOO many times..

After looking down at my scratched up legs I knew I wasn’t going to give up! After a search in a place where I was thinking “it could not be here.. too obvious” and yep... there it was, not in the best condition but it was there!
Thanks for the cache.

In the area with my amazing GeoWife KaleidoscopeCass we decided to stop and do a quick walk and cache... with a bit of gps bounce and using the other coords listed in the logs. Cache was soon found.. log signed and all replaced as found. Tftc!

I also over though this one. Got excited and wasn't where I was expecting. Nearly gave in and found on way back after checking other log coordinates. New container in old container working. Good job should have read it thoroughly first.

Found with my amazing geohubby WallabyTim after a day of running errands. Nothing quite like a nice walk and a smiley to make us feel better. TFTC Smile

We are on the Sunshine coast for a while visiting with our friends who have come in from the USA. This was one of the caches we were able to find. We enjoyed showing them around this scenic location.
We found the cache closer to these coords : S26 29.004 and E153 03.746. New container added. Thankyou cambam001 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area Big GrinBig Grin

We nearly gave up on this one and had travelled quite far into the bush which there is no need to do - think co-ords are a bit off on this one. But finally after giving up and walking out, there it was. Needs maintenance though as log is wet and lid cracked.

25-Feb-18
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

My coordinates were 19meters out from those posted. Have put the log in a clip lock bag. TFTC

Our last find for our holiday over the last week, we have had a great time at Hervey Bay and Coolum. In we went here for our last piece of fantastic plastic for this trip, a dirt biker headed around the bend on the track, Mr 4ando gave out a friendly wave and the rider automatically waves straight back which in turn makes him stack his bike…whoops. He jumps back on and 5 metres down the track he nearly stacks it again, he must be a beginner, we hope he makes it out of here alive.

As we are searching for the cache, the rider loops back around again so we do what all good cachers do and hide, we didn’t want to startle him if he saw us clambering around in the bushes as we are positive this would make him stack it again. We hear him leave the area and breathe a sigh of relieve that we won’t have to call medic.

We had GPS bounce here but we broadened our search and soon found what we needed. Now to head back to have some breakfast before packing up the geo-van-that-can. Sadly it comes to the end of a fantastic holiday...

I had previously found all of the caches hidden at Peregian Springs however a couple of new caches had spoilt my map of smileys. Each time I had driven past, I did not have time to stop so today I thought that I should rectify the situation.

After parking in a safe spot but not the bus stop, I made my way to GZ and after searching for a while I remembered that a previous finder had mentioned that the coordinates where out.

I expanded my search and eventually had the cache in hand some 15m away from the coordinates.

The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.

Other than the coordinates, all is good with this cache.

Find #926

Out grabbing a few nearby smilies to add to the score.
Headed into the trail this morning early and whoops walked past it.
Found lots of lovely spots to hide the cache.
Saw it on the way out.
Signed the log and returned to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks cambam001 Cool All good with this cache

Visiting the area today and stopped to grab a few caches in the area.

After parking nearby, not in the bus zone, it was a short walk to the start of the trail. I had just started to walk along the trail and was reading the hind when I checked a suspicious spot and found the cache!Surprised My GPS said 20mtrs to goRazz Lots of good places to hide a cache in here.Wink

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

I took the following co-ords before leaving S26 29.002 E153 03.746

Thought I would try to pick up a few caches in the Coolum/Peregian area this morning. So I started up the Geojet (it helps for parking to only have 2 wheels) and headed north. Was reluctant to park in the bus stop but found a spot around the corner. Meant a longer walk but it was a pleasant enough walk. My GPS was suggesting the cache was 15m away but I was sure I could see a likely hiding spot and for once human brain was better than technology. TFTC cambam001

Good directions led me to the fork, although I was a bit worried about parking in the bus stop. There was no No standing sign and nowhere else close by to park, the suburban streets opposite being so narrow.
I overshot the spot first and searched in several logs much further off the track. Retracing my steps, the lid soon stood against the natural colours of its surroundings. The container was beside the hide rather than in it.
Took mermaid, left cards.
Replaced in the hide with cover, hopefully won't be observed by muggle passers by now.
Surprised to be 3rd to find!
