In Bathurst for a SES Competition over the weekend which ended just after lunch, wilbert67 and I decided to tick off a few caches in town before we headed for home. Glad it wasn’t a weekday as muggles could have been an issue. Guess the camo did originally come from the nearby business.
After a long weekend at the Bathurst showground, we still had time to pick up a few caches in Bathurst. Together with MizMaz a fun afternoon with some good finds.

Found it! Not a muggle in sight! All indoors watching the great race no doubt! We are going to arrive back home today after a long trip back from the Red Centre Experience. It's been fun
Log hard to remove. Put back with the band on one end and the band end in first makes it a lot easier to get log out. TFTC

On a quiet public holiday we decided to attack this one. I finally made the call to JB that I had found it but called her over to have a look before we took it out. That's a new container. Did make us smile.
Did the signing duties and replaced without a muggle to be seen.

A slow and steady catch up of logging. So far behind, yet as I look over my the list of my unlogged caches, some 400 of them, I am torn between writing out a separate log for each or a generic log for the lot. The only reason it has gotten this far out of control is the time consuming task of logging each one. So sorry to say generic logging wins.
If you the owner really want a fully log please contact me and I will be happy to return and write a personal full log for you.

Have dried out log and replaced rubber band...This makes it easier to get log out...
We found this in the dark and one of our group poked their finger in and recoiled in horror at the feel of it - not to worry, it was only the cache and nothing to lose your head over! Thanks for this inventive cache, no trouble extracting it.
A quiet Sunday afternoon, best time to find this cache; although imagining the night time scene certainly helped me locate it!

After much deliberation and comparing of diaries, The Rats, Steeba and I eventually found a weekend that we could all commit to completing the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, along with some caching in Bathurst (which was actually the scene of our first combined geocaching trip nine years ago!). A last minute trip overseas for me cropped up; but I arranged it so that I could fly home just in time to not miss out on this caching extravaganza.
Friday night we headed to Abercrombie River via Goulburn (from Wollongong), and camped at the campsite there. Saturday saw us drive the lower (Southern) half of 'The Road Less Traveled' Series, ending up in Bathurst right on dinner time. We then found some local caches before staying at a friend's house for the night. On Sunday we headed back out to Oberon for some more caches and then did a couple of loops around Bathurst. We had originally planned to stay Sunday night, but once we clicked over 300 finds for the weekend the inspiration started to wane, and we all agreed to turn our heads for home.
Found a head, luckily did not loose one!
Cheers

Nothing beats a "road trip". My find count had been suffering from the "rest of life" getting in the way of caching so along with Steeba and Hoojar a plan was hatched to go "beyond the Great Divide". The 2nd half of the TRLT looked to be the obvious solution. Under perfect skies and with gps loaded we hit the dirt roads.
Day 2 of our caching trip and we were out on the roads again. We headed to Oberon and some of the back roads around Bathurst before getting a few more caches in Bathurst. By days end we’d put a good dint in our "beyond the Great Divide" so decided to head for home. Thanks to all the CO’s of the caches we found along the way. Apologises for the template style log but with 300 finds for the weekend each container begins to look the same.

The Rats, Hoojar and myself made for the wider Bathurst area for a weekend finding some of TRLT series of caches.
The whole area was quite green and recent rains had meant the grass had exploded everywhere and was 3 or 4 foot high around many of the caches.
Not only did we find plenty of TRLT, there were many 'History of' caches found amongst others. Thanks to all the hiders. TFTC!

What to do after stumps in the day/night cricket test but to head out to look for this night time cache! As previous hunters have found locating the cache is the easy part, extracting the log container is much more difficult! I had almost given up when I thought to try squeezing it and soon had signed and replaced it. Once found both the name and the hint make perfect sense. TFTC
Finally no muggles, found in seconds , good coordinate, now we understand the name, good cache, thanx
Road trip to Bathurst with geo family we made a nice quick find here thanks for placing the cache
We found this one between the last of the pick ups and the staff leaving. It only took a few moments to find the cache and a few minutes to get the container from the camo.
Thanks sixftundernover for placing this cache

No extraction tool needed...just got log out with my pinky. ..have now replaced bag and bound bag and log tightly with rubber band to get out much easier
Excellent, always enjoy a good geo from time to time, especially locally. Thanks for placing tftc
Picked a good day to find it as no-one around! Getting cache in hand wasn't too difficult (and all of a sudden the name made sense), getting log in hand was another story altogether. I must start carrying extraction tools!

Have come past in the daylight but was always muggle central. It is much much easier in the dark of night.
Took longer to get the log out than it did to find it.
