BaldEd and I were out caching together today from Reefton to Stillwater. My main mission was to locate and sign off the Confused Duckys that I have inbetween these two settlements and any others that got in the way. He just needed everything that got in his way.Another that got in the way.Cheers for the cache, benebbwilliams.
Out on a cachemobile caching mission with Tufty seeking Confused Duckies and any other caches that took our fancy. This wasn't quite where we first assumed it would be but it didn't take long to find. TFTC benebbwilliams
As we completed our visit of Brunner coal mine, we realised we had found a lot of cache, expect a trad, this was a very close one, and we stopped, great area to pull over. I forbid Mr9 to come for the find as the trucks were quite fast on the road. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Driving from Greymouth to Reefton and caching along the way. Nice and easy thanks.
A nice trouble free drive great to have heaps of space to pull over from the road thanks
Just one more before we get to Greymouth! We are having a "maintenance" day today in Greymouth- when we get there! Thanks for the placement benebbwilliams
Found with Kiwimykl. Today's mission was to head out to the Brunner Mine site do the caches there and as many PnGs on the road both sides of the river between the mine and Greymouth. We have completed our mission a the Brunner Mine Site as well as all the roadside caches on the south side of the river between there and Greymouth. No we have to get across the river to do the road on the other side back to Greymouth. This cache was on the way to the nearest river crossing (other than the Brunner Bridge), so we stopped by for a QEF PnG.
Kiwimykl and I decided to spend a few days based in Greymouth between Christmas and New Years as a geocaching break from our greater family, who we are having three camping/caravanning holidays between 17 Dec 2021 and 24 Jan 2022. Over five days we cached the 'Grey' area taking in such places as the Larriken Track, Omutumotu Bush Walk, Mahinapua Tramway, Brunner Mine Site including both sides of the Grey River as far as Stillwater, Hokitika Gorge, Woodstock Rimu Heritage Trail, Rewanui Walkway, some Survivor series puzzles we missed on a previous visit as well as a few PnGs in between the various locations. This area certainly provides a veritable pot pourri for geocachers. Our logs were either in full or abridged to KM + ND as log space permitted.
Thanks to all to CO's who placed and maintained these caches, especially G7&M and H&H. However from the amount of pill bottles used as cache containers, we have serious concerns about your respective health and wish you all the best in that respect. As a token of our gratitude, we left a token of our appreciation behind which will become apparent in due course.

This was just as the description suggests a QEF. A quick stop while on the way to Stillwater. TFTC
Hmm, I see I previously logged a DNF for this cache. That's odd. Anyway, I put that to rights today. Thanks for the cache .
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*

Nice and easy find here and replaced as found as I slowly made my way to Greymouth. T F T C benebbwilliams
Easter weekend 2018 is here and I have a cunning plan. Well, a caching plan, but what's the difference? With mrs and daughter working over the weekend and me with a few days off work there was a chance to convert some of my solved puzzles over on the West Coast into smiley faces. And add to my West Coast caching total. And do the Point Elizabeth walk, and several other appealing strolls. And some other stuff and all the way along gaining extra points for the planetary Challenge thingy to gain some electronic 2D Geo-souvenirs. And so, setting off around 0730 on Easter Sunday with the trusty mountain bike aboard (for the Greymouth beach-side track) I clocked up just under 1000 kms by road, a few extra on 2 wheels and several more on 2 feet, quite the trip. The threatened rain only arrived on the second afternoon in Hokitika (by which time I'd done my walks for the day) and the drive back from Greymouth via Westport was in blazing Autumn sunshine - Beautiful. Fantastic scenery all around and a large number of caches from b&w and gracie7&mum helped the total to just over 180 finds.
An awesome few days which my family wouldn't have enjoyed, but conversely actually would have, for the most part. An FTF in Reefton on the way through on Day 1 was another bonus, and monkey off the back for the monthly streak. A few DNFs which is to be expected with that many looked for, but a lot of good sights and experiences too. Thanks to all the COs for their placements.

Heading inland for work today so grabbed this one on the way from Dobson to Blackball. TFTC
Hitting the road and heading for home in Nelson - finding a few caches along the way. No problems here. Found cache in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
This was the twelfth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
I am continuing the long drive back home and picking up caches along he way. TFTC.

The Seagnoid, Zara Toby and I are off for an expedition to the West Coast for a long weekend. Camped out at Reefton Friday night, with an early start Saturday to Greymouth.
Another quick snag and tag here. Lots of parking space for Zara and Toby. Cheers. Lots more to explore today. Onwards again.

TaybeeDragon and I have a three day weekend on the west coast. We got to Reefton Friday night and set off early this morning. After all, there is lots to do! And one of those things was to stop here. Nice big parking space, plenty of room for Zara and Toby. Found the cache, signed and carried on. Westward ho!
Found cache lying in full view on the grass. Signed log and left it hidden in the most logical place nearby. Log a bit damp but ok for now.
We looked for about 15 minutes but not there, if it is there then it would have been moved. Could you check if it is still there?thanks!
We had a full days caching planned so after getting some supplies from the nearby supermarket, we looked for a few caches in Greymouth before heading further afield.
Heading out of town, so stopped for this cache. Not much traffic at this time on a Sunday morning and a quick find. TFTC.

#14145. We'd have been better to have looked for this one on the way back (we weren't planning to come back this way but we ran out of time and did end up coming back the same way). TFTC.

We were on our way back to Greymouth after finding Under the Goalpost in Blackball - this was a nice easy find Thanks for the cache benebbwilliams
Every year for the past 6years we have made a point to find a cache to farewell the current year and then another one the next day to welcome the new one. Feeling inline with the miserable weather yesterday and the hovering cloud overhead today, a quick PnG was just what was needed. Thanks for the smilie and Happy 2017!
Day 2 of getting from Nelson to Oamaru (via Picton) collecting a few caches along the way. TFTC
Spending Xmas near Lake Brunner means we always find a few caches while in the area. This one was found on a trip in to Greymouth on Boxing day. A quick park and grab.
Thank you benebbwilliams.
Thank you benebbwilliams.
On the Coast for our annual Xmas pilgrimage we couldn't ignore this cache while passing. Good parking and enough gaps in traffic to merge in and out without problems. Thank you benebbwilliams
Who says it always rains on the West Coast. We have been over 3 times in the last few months and had beautiful weather each time. Perfect for Geocaching. TFTC
