Our last day in Melbourne and given the weather is kinder than previous days we went for a walk.

With a very old cache in the vicinity we chose this park. The revised coordinates in a log entry were very useful and took us right to the hide. TFTC

21-Nov-18

This cache is classified as a Traditional. The coordinates listed on a Traditional cache page should be the **actual location of the cache.** From a number of logs it would seem the Listed Co-ordinates provided for this cache are not where the cache is actually located. From the guidelines [**Listings must contain accurate GPS coordinates.**](https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx?expand=1#coordinates)

CO has not responded to request to update the co-ordinates - cache archived due to lack of response from CO.

If you wish to contact me please send your email via my profile - [Bunjil,](https://coord.info/PR9GZ0K) and quote both the cache name and GC number please.

01-Nov-18
Despite the CO logging *'Slight adjustment to co-ords. S 037 45.413', E 145 06.785',* I cannot see an Update Coordinates log. I wonder if you've placed the correct coordinates in the 'Correct these coordinates' box on your cache page. If so, you are the only one who can see them - see here: [**Add a solution checker to your Mystery Cache page**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=906)

As it stands the GZ provided by the coordinates would seem to be some 15m from where the cache is located. As this is listed as a Traditional cache, the coordinates provided for the GZ should reflect exactly where the cache is located.

For a Cache Owner to change the coordinates they need to log an Update Coordinates log - see here: [**Update geocache coordinates**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=61)

If the coordinates are not updated by 15th November, I will have no option but to de-list (Archive) the cache for not being Guideline compliant.

With summer on the doorstep today I figured a plan to enjoy some caching and a stealth ride. Made good time getting early so was able to enjoy the ride. Quick find and enjoyed this part of the trail. Thanks to atraversiamo for placing this cache.

Make it more obvious, too hard in the dark

02-Oct-18
Replaced cache and changed location slightly to achieve a more stable site.

23-Sep-18
Slight adjustment to co-ords. S 037 45.413', E 145 06.785'
Due to park rangers continuously cleaning up park and consequently getting rid of my camouflaged cache, I have relocated this one within a small distance from the trees to which the cache was placed originally.
I hope this suffices. Happy geocaching.

Out for a day of caching whilst in the big smoke, we had picked up quite a few caches close by and thought we would finish off the area. What a lovely inner suburban park with nice views and also a great park for the geokids to play in. We were particularity impressed with the nature play area which was enjoyed as well.

This was our second find and we found a log however to container to be found. We have carefully covered the log to try and keep dry.

Find number 6370 at 5:33:02 pm
On my way home from a dentist appointment so I was happy for the distraction.
Took a while longer than it should have but it was a hide you would see straight away or walk around for hours, thankfully I spotted it sooner than hours...
**Thanks for placing this cache atraversiamo**

I arrived home tonight to find the gas had been left on so the house smelt really nice. I immediately opened all the windows and luckily there was a breeze to slowly get rid of it with all the doors and windows open. Obviously I didn't want to hang around in a gas cloud so went out caching for a little while and went for a drive.

This was the last of 3 on my 15km zone run tonight and after waiting for a couple of dog walking muggles to clear I found it immediately which was nice seeing the amount of time I spent looking for the last cache I was at. I thought I was going to be searching by iPhone torch light at one point in time for this one.
Thanks atraversiamo for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We continued our ride from Westerfolds to another familiar area (we had lived for a few years off Thompson’s Rd). We were admiring the new pedestrian bridge but the cache was a bit further away. A short search brought the cache to light at 17:35 but we were surprised by the size misclassification. Hope this can be rectified. Thanks atraversiamo

23-Dec-17
No luck for me today, and was a bit concerned after reading the previous log.
I did however find a giant lizard!

17-Dec-17
In the area to finish off a challenge cache and had to find a few more because I could.
A nice park along the Yarra and even with the lovely weather I practically had the place to myself.
A quick search as I spotted this one out in the open, signed the log and re hid as best as I could.
Thanks atraversiamo TFTC

Geocaching in the park with Andrew, Sebastian, Eva and Rose. Found GZ soon enough and Geo-Rose soon had the cache in hand. No tools required to retrieve. Of course pen had stopped, so we took a photo of the nano-log book. 3 finds for the day! Woot. Time for lunch

Found while on the way to morning brunch with friends. I had read previous logs so when I got there it was a fairly quick find.

09-Sep-17
GMelb dropped me off at the Heide Market and went to find a local cache or 2 then picked me up and we headed here on the way home.
On arrival at GZ the GPS was pointing one way and the phone was pointing another. After a while the GPS settled and agreed with the phone so we concentrated on that area and GMelb soon came up with the sneakily hidden goods.

It was a nice day for a ride with the geokid around this area to grab a number of caches. This was the first one for the day and a tricky one. We looked until the geokid said here it is. Nice hide.

22-Jul-17
My day of caching didn't really start out as I had planned. I jumped into the car and was reversing out of the drive when a walking muggle pointed out that my rear near side tyre looked decidedly flat so it was back in the drive to change it. You only realise how much guff you have in the boot when you have to empty it ALL!!

On the way home I saw that this cache had popped up and I hadn't noticed before I so I mad a slight detour. After parking up and taking a pleasant yet chilly walk to the GZ I found my self walking in circles for a few minutes until I changed tactic. I soon had the tricky hide in hand. TFTC.

21-Jul-17
I was chatting to an old caching buddy the other day and realised how much caching has taken a back seat in recent times. Surprised On the way to work this morning, I noticed this one 'on the radar' and don't ever remember it being here despite having driven past on any number of occasions since it was placed. [8)]

All that considered, I decided to drop by today for a look to try and see if I could open the account for July. Red Face I arrived at GZ at the same time as a dog-walker and co-incidentally, I finally spotted the sneaky hide at 09:10 after a few minutes of scrounging just as another dog-walker mosied on by. Oh well, just another weirdo in the bush I guess. Wink

TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks atraversiamo.

14-Jul-17
A free day to myself today so I decided to head out into a different area to do some caching. Plenty of options out this way to fill in the time and a lot of great hides. I targeted a few specific caches to fill some gaps in my stats but otherwise just looked for whatever I had the chance to.

I was out this way a few weeks ago but this one was disabled at the time so going past GZ again today I made sure to stop off and search. This had me circling around without any luck despite thinking that the hide should be fairly straight forward. I was just about to give up when I spotted something and sure enough their was the very tricky find. Easy to see how it would be missed and a nice bit of construction. Thanks for the cache atraversiamo.

Unexpected find.

06-Jul-17
I was going to attempt this one earlier in the year until it got muggled, so noticing that it reappeared yesterday I decided to walk around the park to collect the others that I was missing before going to work.

I approached GZ and after a look around I soon saw something that tipped me off and the log was signed and replaced ready for the next person.

Thanks for a lovely opportunity to enjoy a beautiful winter afternoon stroll.

TFTC!!

Replacing this cache finally today. Have had a busy time of it and have not had the time to do the repair till now. The cache is hidden amongst the natural ground cover in typical geocache style. Hope you enjoy the new hide.

This cache was published the day after I completed the previous caches in this series. Perhaps I should have looked around and I may have found this as an unpublished cache.
Today I needed some time to myself, to escape from the males in my household, so I came for a short walk in Finns Reserve. I had the area to myself so I had no problems finding and rehiding the cache.
Thank you atraversiamo for this cache.

Found this in a surprisingly obvious place. Checked for Muggles in this very public spot before retrieving and returning it to GZ.

15-Dec-16
The last time I was in Finns Reserve I was appreciably heavier and therefore less fit. Today, I intended to find as many caches as I could on a 10km roundtrip walk from the car. This was a relatively quick find although I was a little surprised at the spot given the nook between two semi-dead trees nearby....
That'll teach me to trust the co-ords next time!

Nice easy find. Thanks!

On the way home, and thought , just one more. Parked a long way from this and had to avoid a few muggles, I grabbed the TB and it looks similar to a tb of my own, I might have to change mine a little bit Wink
Thanks

I parked further away than I needed to and enjoyed the walk to gz. Once there I saw about a hundred places the cache could be hidden but there was one spot that stood out. Sure enough, the cache was there.
Thanks atraversiamo for the cache. I enjoy this park.

On my way home after a day caching with xambo4u, I stopped for this last one. Parked and crossed the road carefully, then walked through the park to GZ. A quick find, thanks atraversiamo

02-Dec-16
I noticed this close to home newie the other day and decided to look for it today as I had eaten a late lunch and thought I had better make some room for dinner. Razz I knew this lovely park quite well as I had found the other 4 caches in this series not long after they were published a few years ago.

To get enough exercise I parked at one end of Finns Reserve and had a lovely stroll along the walking tracks to GZ at the other end of this picturesque park. Cool Luckily there weren't many muggles around at this time in the afternoon. After a brief search I found the cache buried deeply and matching its surroundings. I signed the logbook at 5:40 pm, took a cute little butterfly and left a Spanish TB that I've had for way too long. I then rehid the cache and headed back to my car.

Thanks atraversiamo for the cleverly camo'd cache and for bringing me back to this beautiful park. [^]

CONGRATULATIONS TO ARCHIE B1 for the FTF

Well - there is a rivalry. A friendly rivalry you see. And when a Kanga doesn't hop to it, he misses out. But all is fair in love and caching and today, my friends, the kudos goes elsewhere.

Upon waking, there was the usual check for opportunities which had gone begging overnight, but at 7:45, there had been one just a hop, skip and a jump away. Even though we have an insanely busy day, there was time.

Arrived in one piece and nary a person in sight bar wandering muggle and canine companion who took far too long to move on... but there was no-one else, none seen, none heard and none logged. Online at least.

But this is a task which some delay, whether for technical or perhaps more nefarious reasons who is to say. But the logbook as clean and crisp on the outside as it was had been internally defiled. Well, perhaps that is too strong a word. The writing was crisp and neat. "First one here - Archie B1&B2".

The game is fun and smiles abound. All hail the game.

Is it Osmosis?
Is it Telepathy?
What is happening is that the quality inside the easily accessible treasure is improving.
Waterproof log books.
Waterproof writing sticks.
All hidden amongst the trees where every tree base looks like it is wrapped in tiger snakes.

You just don't want to touch the ground for fear of being bitten.

Yesterday (after a Red Centre Event) as people were throwing themselves over cliffs and the bananas watched the fear in their eyes. This was a pleasant change.

All strength to your arm for the effort gone to here.
