I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi purpleneoncoconut
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Couldn’t find unfortunately, navigation seems a little off but will definitely try again
navigation was going crazy so no luck ! tried looking under the bridge but found nothing ! will come back again sometime
Unfortunately couldn’t locate the cache, might try again some other time
No problem finding this one, but as previously mentioned the log paper was saturated. Added new paper inside a plastic baggie, hopefully that helps. TFTC
No luck today. Daughter wants to come back later and look for it, Dad ran out of patience!
First attempt at geocaching. Unfortunately did not locate it. Will try again another day!
We were in Wellington to pick up grandies from airport - plane delayed so had time to find some caches. Thanks purpleneoncoconut for the cache.
4th DNF in a row, seriously annoyed after looking around the item at the GZ. If GPS is right I must have been geoblind. Very dirty after searching.
Filling in time waiting for a plane to arrive. Time enough to grab a few caches. Nice quick find when the phone finally picked up some reception. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find while in the area. Perfect evening to be collecting some smilies. TFTC. Left TB for next finder.
A short walk in under beautiful shade on a hot day. Cache just big enough for a TB we picked up two weeks ago. Great spot. Tftc
Found this while out walking the dog. Thanks for bringing us to this very nice reserve
After failing miserably at #2 I came up here to try my luck with this one, but wasn't too hopeful as the last log I had on my device was a DNF. However, I got to GZ and after a little bit of hunting, found the container. Opened up and signed the log. As I fill in this online log I saw that a new container had been placed and a lot of new found logs applied - I must have old logs on my device and not up to date. All good here. TFTC
After the cache was freshened up I decided to tackle this one again. Miramark came with but ended up lounging in the stream with his clothes piled on the bank while I rechecked some of his his handy work and found the lil' container all snug.

I saw that this had received some maintenance recently so I decided to take another look. I ended up over thinking and over reaching (mud everywhere!)while trying to find what ended up being a relstively simple hide in the end. Before signing the log I decided to wash my hands off in the nearby stream - suddenly I heard a loud thrashing noise coming from up in the bush. A muscular man emerged from the native forest, his head glistening in the dappled sunlight. It turned out to be jerry_nz - who had followed me here and waited until I was in a vulnerable state before jumping from the bushes and claiming the cache before me. TFTC!
Today was supposed to be a day of multi's, but I had to drop my boss back to the airport early so I just hung around the eastern peninsula trying to grab as many as I could. The roads here are crazy!
There is no way to get from the inner loop of Miramar to the outer loop without going half way back to the airport, very odd indeed.
There is a pretty little bridge here and I was very pleased that I could find this one after the previous DNF

Didn't find I think I can see the four places it might be but it also looks like some big flooding/storms have thrown crud around... Will try again when it's not so muddy

If it's there it wasn't going to be found today. Visited here with team geocacher zboy wonder. Two sets of eyes weren't able to find what we came for.
I'm intrigued by the opening sentence of the cache description and its misalignment with the experiences that geocachers relate in their logs. Something awry here me thinks.

Oh dear, clearly not my day. Despite a good hunt under everything inside a 20m circle of GZ, I couldn’t turn anything up.
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie

Day two of our three day weekend, and on the plan for today is a trip to Weta workshop, some good food and shopping, a walk to Oriental Bay and eventually a few afternoon caches.
GPS not really playing ball, as can be expected in here. Trusted our geosenses and quick find from then on. Easier than that other one we couldn't find. TFTC PNC.

Quick find - this time. Thanks for guidance in activity as I trusted my instincts not the GPS.
Over thought this one. Trusted myself and looked up and there it was. All good here. TFTC
Nice and quick and easy! Didn’t manage to sign log book as pen ran out doh! TFTC
All I can say is trust your instinct with this one after we finally found it on our third visit. Definitely a case of overthinking! TFTC
#3471 11 of 26 today.
Day 3 in NZ and the Wellington weather gods were content today. Sunshine and gentle breezes made for excellent caching conditions. I had a chat with a local bush walker and she said the Wellington's weather reputation was much maligned and not entirely accurate. Anyway she was making the most of today and so was I although I do not enjoy these muddy tracks. Give me tinder-dry, snake-infested Australian bush any day ! But I am enjoying the contrasting, impenetrable bush here.
Today I worked on the southern side of the city and at times I could see the south island across the Cook Straight.
Found without too much trouble.

Had hoped to get about half a dozen caches in Miramar this afternoon, but ran out of time - this was just one of two. However those two led me to two different places I had never been to so it was pleased enough. TFTC!
Came out later in the day, but called it quits when I started to lose light. Will be back next time...
A quick find while out and about. All quiet on a Thursday morning. All in order. TFTC
20 August 2017 13:33. TFTC. When I realised that my phone GPS was lying to me again, I used the hint for a ridiculously quick find!

I suspected it was meant to be under the man made structure so searched there first. Then looked for other corners, noting the specified accuracy. Half hour - no smilie today.
Found it after read the clue. Well hidden because of so many leaves on the ground that make it well hide. TFTC

A quickish find today. We were looking in all the wrong places last time.
How did we miss it[?] Must have had our caching blinkers on.

After dropping Mrs S at the airport decided to drop in on a few caches in the Miramar/ Lyall Bay area as its been a while since my last outing. The car pointed this way so it was up to the end of the Peninsula to achieve at least one smilie, hopefully more, for the day.
This cache was the first for the afternoon and it wasn't looking like a positive start. The logical place was there but the GPS was pointing off into the bush, strange. Ok I'll follow the arrow and numbers and see where they lead. After doing a small circuit, sort of trusting the GPS, I ended back in the general vicinity of the logical location. OK so where would I hide it? Looking... looking .... looking .... and not seeing anything resembling the cache description, humph! Is the CO being clever and not putting it in the logical place, well my thoughts of a logical place? Checking out the bases of a few other natural structures all nearby returned no smilie face. Back to the logical location, its gotta be here somewhere, doesn't it?
And then, there it was! Spotted hiding under a bit of natural vegetation, tucked up just as the hint said it would be. Yes! Log signed and then hidden back just as found with a bit of natural vegetation to mask its location from any muggle eyes. Thank you for the hide, was getting a bit worried there that the afternoons quest wasn't going to get off on a good note. [^]

#213. The first find of my second year of caching!
Being daunted by the number of DNF's already for this cache, I fully expected to record another such result. After unsuccessfully searching for 10-15 minutes, I decided to climb the hill and see if GC2PDME was any easier, but not even getting within 18m of this one, decided that my first search was perhaps too cursory. Having a good think about the Hint, and reading gasbottle's notes, gave me inspiration and in no time the cache was in hand. Then, curses, my pen fell to pieces so I popped back to the car to fill in the log.
So, a dot day done! Tftc, purpleneoncoconut!
Earlier in the morning, I'd had coffee with three German tourists, friends of a former exchange student. One of them has a mother back home who has 11,111 finds, she said. Impressive!

My second search for this one. The coords seemed a little undecided about where I should be and hint didn't really pinpoint things too much, so I missed it last time. Today I focused on the most likely spots and got it pretty quickly.
TFTC,
TFTC,
There is nothing particularly tricky about this hide. It just happens to be somewhere one wouldn't expect it to be.
Back for a third visit - still couldn't find it. I am really hopeless at this geocaching thing, maybe time to take up golf!
Will try again sometime in the future when I have more experience!!
Will try again sometime in the future when I have more experience!!
Pleasingly quick grab given previous entries: I found the area, D found the cache. Thanks!
With a few recent DNF's, I decided to check on this cache and its safe to say its still where it should be
Found with The Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly after a lengthy search. Thanks!
Cache # 699

A nice day for a long search here today with The Wandering Dragons and Astro Hunter. Took a while and then the Dragon let out a shout of success. Thank you!
Cache # 1,237
Cache # 1,237
Cache # 3,484 - After a series of DNFs we approached this cache with trepidation today, but it was great weather and we had plenty of time, so decided to give it a go. 25 minutes later, pausing for several sets of muggles to go by, and voila! Third time at the spot we started at and the ingeniously simple hide was uncovered. Obviously most of us make it harder than it needs to be. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Did with Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly.

My phone died, but managed to find with help from previous logs, and hint kept me looking in the right place. Thanks for the cache. Last cache for the year.
Wet and muddy arms and knees but no cache to be rewarded with.
I'll be back when summer arrives.
I'll be back when summer arrives.
The Miramar curse is back in action again... I wasn't hopeful of a quick find given the calibre of those who had failed before me, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway... much cursing and muddy knees later, I was forced to admit defeat. Will be back in dryer weather.
Not-so-quick find today, but didn't have any muggles to contend with - found in about the 38th spot I looked (well it felt like that anyway! ) - sometimes we make the simple and obvious difficult! *TFTC purpleneoncoconut, #9363*
#3129. I needed a few caches tonight so decided to chance my arm once again over at Miramar and see if I could convert a few DNF's to smilies. Last time I was here the force had completely deserted me and I was starting to have very dark thoughts about geocaching as a hobby. Tonight I had clearly conquered the dark side of the force as I had a great run of quick cache finds. This one was the first. I had been given a hint from another cacher of where I needed to concentrate my search effort. It was much the same area as where I started looking last time (obviously poorly done). Apart from a brief check around one place where I located a tiny dwarf (would have made an awesome micro-cache), I went back to basics and surprised myself with locating the cache within a minute or two. Nicely covered with natural camo. Bit damp in the container but the log was still dry. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
No joy for me today. Spent about 20 minutes covering a fair amount of potential places. The GZ was muggle infested with walkers and trail bike riders on a Sunday so not an easy area to search. Bound to be there somewhere. Just not in the countless places I checked today.
Came on to here after a stop at the garden shop back along the road. Found after a bit of a search, missed it on the first pass and then spotted it a bit later when giving the place a more thorough going-over. I remember finding a nearby cache just up the track a few years ago. Signed log, TFTC
I thought this might take a while, but I soon spotted it in a reasonably logical place. TFTC
