Having dropped Mrs Msc20 at the airport, I meandered my way back to the Tron picking off a number of nearby caches en route.1975!! How old???That's almost as old as me!!Thanks Kyle253#5477
Been riding motorbike on Auckland day and did some caches around the Lake on the first stage of the ride. Will come back for the rest at a later stage. You had me on this oneTFTC.
Mrs NZT and I decided to have a road trip day today. Left home at 6.30am (crazy I know when we are on holiday but then this is holiday enjoyment for us!!!), drove lots of kms all over the place and back home in time for dinner with a nice haul of smiles (we mostly had smiles today woohoo).Awwww the cows came to say hello to us. Struggled at first and read some other logs which mentioned there was a second post. Once I looked at that one the cache was in hand super fast. Thanks for the cache.
A last minute plan was hatched for Keylev and Mrs NZT to have a girls day out in the Waikato today. We started out early in the day. grabbed a coffee at Mercer and then started caching. We had a great day driving around lesser travelled roads and enjoying the sun. Got a few newer adlabs completed and also a number of other more traditional caches. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. Finally finished back in Pokeno with a well deserved ice cream and after 11 hours caching we were ready to head home for some dinner. A GREAT day out. Friendly cows at GZ. Keylev made the find. lovely area and views of the lake as we drive along. TFTC!
This one almost had me stumped until i realised there was more than 1 concrete post. I caught the voodoo troll and the travel house trying to escape from the loading chute.
Nice and easy find. All in good condition here.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining. Tftc

An easy find for the "oldy" of our duo. Return2nai and the old shed are the same age. Jillopy is the youngun by 5 years! TFTC!

Thank you for placing your first Geocache, it has taken us about 7 years to come find it!
I am a little amused that you find 1975 "old" as I am 2 years younger than old then!
Quick find at GZ, thanks again!

Headed down this way today with the intention of collecting the Pickup 52 trail of caches, and any others along the way....as am in need of some numbers for my goal for the year.....
Thank you to the CO's for cache placement, and bringing me to these locations.
After locating all I could of the Pickup 52 series, I was still left with quite some time before heading home....in other words it was still light, so I went in search of other caches on lesser travelled roads for me.........

Nice scenic route between the Hapuakohe Walkway and Te Kauwhata for ice cream. TFTC
Nice quick PNG. Found a very friendly and lonely sheep. It must have been a pet as it rain straight up and wanted ️. I felt quite sorry for it, it was clearly lonely. Nice to find someone’s first hide
A quick find as we explored the area.
There was a wind up dog toy in the cache which we couldn't resist playing with.
Nice spot. TFTC.

Down from Northland for the weekend with the prime objective being to do the Hakarimata Trail. That was delayed a day because of the weather, so we ended up doing the Waikato River walk today and getting soaked in the process. After Team G0LD dried out at the pub, we then headed off for some more caches on the way back to our accommodation.
After a short detour off the main road, we stopped beside this one, which was a nice quick find in the hint location. TFTC

As we read the description on the way to this cache we all thought the barn built in 1975 was young. It's all a matter of perspective. A quick find, thanks
Another cache logged by me Tigatat2. Travelling with My.Precious. just getting the easy to park ones.
Out on a drive today around the lake. Been a good day. Had notice on the last cache TNXpro had been here today. And sure enough there he is again. Lol. Nice quick find. Tftc
On way home after a trip out to the GTR Festival at Hampton Downs.
Little detour out to this cache.

Yay....got it!
Thanks!

I found the cache in the third place I looked. Which is odd since there are only two possible places it could have been. Took Chasburg Haz TB. TFTC.
Heading down to our Waikato base this afternoon before attending this evenings Event. Having a bit of time in hand allowed us to detour down towards Lake Waikare to pick up a few more caches. Hate to be thinking of this shed as being old - its a couple of decades younger than us! No problems with making the find despite being in our dotage.
Nice quick find as we try and avoid the holiday traffic by taking the back roads TFTC.
After finishing up work this morning I decided to reward myself with an afternoon drive in the country. Nice to get out into the fresh air of nature and add some finds to the tally. I parked up close to ground zero and got to searching. Missed it on the first pass as I thought it would be a bit further along. Found it on my way back. I do like to look at the old country sheds. There were sheep in the paddock today, so I wonder if it still gets some use. Cheers for the cache placement!
Nice quick park and grab on an early morning drive to Hamilton. Dropped off a TB.
On a big day trip with KirsTim and yorkshirekiwi83, the goal of the day was to tackle the Eyes Have It Series, and a select few others on the route. Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements and maintenance, we really appreciate all the work into cache ownership! A great day for driving and hunting down caches, no issues or problems were had.
A straightforward find, thanks for the hide!

Vamber, KirsTim and myself decided to tackle some of the Waikato caches today, or rather focus on the eyes have it series and anything we came across on route. Thank you to all the cache owners for their cache placements, they are very much appreciated. It was a hot day with the threat of thunder storms (which we got on the drive home) and ended up suffering for hayfever for the first time in my life, legs attacked by long grass but this is all in the life of a cacher, we had no issues with farmers or the like.

Out in the Waikato with half of Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83 to do The Eyes Have It series. Having completed the series we had time for a few more caches, even though the rain had started. Easy find here, thanks
Out on a bit of a cache run, even though its a little rainy. Oh Well. I'm all booked in to Rotorua for the night, so on I go.

Coming from Auckland towards taupo, I have my sister-in-law with me, who visits this great country first time
Best: she doesn't mind the stops to do a bit of caching

I could not believe my luck!!! Just after a couple of weeks of having been up north, I got an unexpected invite to AUT, with an opportunity to come up the weekend before (=do some caching!!). With flights and accommodation sorted, I was more than happy to invest in a rental car for the weekend TFTC!!
Nice sized cache, thanks for the well maintained container. We enjoyed looking at the shed and the stock yards. A favorite from us TFTC
Found this cache on our way to Rotorua for the annual Tough Guy n Gal Challenge. Yes, we enjoyed finding the cache, thanks.
Nice quick find here. All in good order. Came from North so parking not as good. Thanks for the placement.
After being cooped up inside all week with bad weather, sick child and school holidays I had scheduled in today for some 'me time'. I had planned to clean up around Hamilton but after finding a few urban hides I was well and truly over it and decided to head into the country for some peace and quiet and some nice country roads.
Appreciating the great hints, the great locations and the great caches. Thanks for the placements, making it a fantastic drive round the lake

Had a big day out with TF and headed home this way, although he had found this little group of 3 he was kind enough to stop so we could make the find. TFTC
I had thought to go home via SH27, but forgot to take the turnoff as I came over the bombay hills, so instead decided to collect the few caches in this area instead! Down the road I trundled, trying to outpace the rain coming up from the south.
Upon reach GZ, waited for a car to pass, then headed over. Although I could easily see the cache, it didn't want to easily come out of its pozzie! 1 more to get!

A rather fortuitous Trade Me purchase has brought us to Auckland and conveniently I've turned this into 2 days of caching as well. We're on the way home now and this was a nice park and grab during our travels. Found quickly and in good condition thanks to good coords and a straight forward placement. cheers Kyle253 - TFTC.
It's still very early in the morning, still dark and I'm having a fairly big day of caching here and then into Hamilton. Came here and a damn dog just down the road just would not stop barking. More fool the owners for putting up with it. I looked at post and just slightly expanded my search to see the cache.
A very nice place to take a break, but needed to wait for a jogging muggle to go.
Thanks Kyle253.

On an impromptu caching raid into the Waikato, a quick find in the company of harisree. There was a haunting ticking coming from the shed and some barking dogs in the distance but otherwise all quiet. TFTC!!!
During the monthly 18@18 event Kiwi69 mentioned an interest in taking off for an afternoon of Geocaching and since I had not returned to work yet and my wife was agreeable to the idea a plan was quickly hatched. Kiwi69 popped around for some lunch and then we shot off heading north with me driving and a rough plan in place. I really enjoyed the drive, the Geocaching and the company. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches we found and for maintaining them.
1975....old. Hmmm I guess any ideas I had about been hip and cool are over I'm officially old I was onto this one in a flash and we were soon on the road again.

An enjoyable catch up with local geocachers at the monthly 18@18 event last night in Hamilton also led to plans for a very impromptu mini-mission with IamMrWalker to cache along the Tahuna-Ohinewai Road this afternoon. My recent knee op limits my caching options for the time being, but its great to be out & about again, enjoying great caching company, finding caches and, even better today, driveby placements that don't require much walking or deep knee bends!
I had a wry smile at the cache description and the 'old' shed - I guess that's why Im having joint issues with my knees being older than that shed haha!! IamMrwalker made a nice quick find here while I was still deciding which concrete post. Log signed, cache all good & in great condition, TFTC

Thans for the good sized cache. I left a smiley stress ball, although surely no one is in need of it at this time of year!
A quick drive by on an afternoon of caching. Cache was soon in hand, log signed and replaced as found

News Years Day, perfect for a series of driveby and walkbys in the Waikato. With no-one around parking was pretty easy. Thanks.
I decided that we would pick up a few caches that weren't lying on any main drag. I had to wait for the local farmer to move on.
Cheers for the cache.

Out collecting some of the new local caches, a quick grab.

Nice drive in here - we did it twice!! I had picked my elderly but agile parents up from Auckland to bring home (near Morrinsville) and on the way back to the main road my father realized that he had dropped his hearing aids out of his pockets when he was out of the car at this stop, so back we went. Fortunately we managed to retrieve both the hearing aid and the tiny batteries - phew!! TFTC
