No luck here for me today. The coordinates were a bit jumpy and we're trying to entice me into the private property.
3.23pm 28th December 2022. Very hot day, long grass, no cell phone coverage, nothing except gorse bush at 1m, MacPacMum was ready to give up when MacPacDad found it. Doesn't look like this gate is used often. TFTC.
We had to tramp through wet grass to get a Smiley but found the Log Book wet as well.Dried it out the best we could to sign our name..TFTH
It's beginning to get dark now 5:45 pm. I planned a ski trip with hubby and friends. Then I had a couple of biopsies dine on my arm. So no skiing for me so I decided to cache instead. Thank you RB600 for this cache.

Very pleased to have an excuse to stop off here as I was following an excruciatingly slow car all the way up. TFTC # 16,853
Out and about in the countryside with RAYZR, no data, but it was soon found, tftc RB600
There were still a few more caches southwest of Timaru to locate and sign and seeing that I was staying another day albeit a drizzling one I would try for them.
I went to the other traditional hiding place first.
Cheers for the cache.

Nice little spot to sit in the grass and take on the view. Quick and easy find on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. TFTC
A quick easy find, although as previously reported the lid is split and the cache damp, but the log is ok. TFTC
Cache container has water in it again. Emptied it and dried it out. The log book was dry and very useable. Luckily the cache was in the first place gk looked. The lid on the container is cracked so we left it upside down to try to help with the wet container problem. Three cars went past while we were here. Obviously a popular road for those who know where they're going. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
Took a wee while to find this one. We kept tripping over discarded beer bottles and cans instead, so did a clean up. Eventually came across the hole cache had been sitting in and through the long grass on on the other side of the fence finally spotted the cache. Still wet but managed to sign our name. tftc
Scratched an entry but full of water and not really signable. Nice views though. Always nice to stop.
A quick and easy find. Cheers
Heading to Timaru for the weekend, there have been a few new caches published off the beaten track since we were last down this way.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Bit of excitement when I stumbled over animal remains on the way. Log too wet to sign though
Time to get out for a days caching and tidy up some ones we've missed or are new. Lovely fine winter day, GPS and phone at the ready. Taking the long way home. Last one as it's getting dark and cold. 42 for the day, not bad. TFTC
Auf dem Weg von Lake Tekapo nach Dunedin haben wir am Wegesrand die Dosen eingesammelt. Diese konnten wir gut finden. Danke fürs Legen,
2nd of our 6 Day Adventure down to Oamaru for [Oamaru Geofest 2017](https://coord.info/GC6M2V0).
This one took alot longer than it shouldve due to seeing a squashed container (we had found caches in a couple of times today) in the carparking area. We were thinking of replacing it when Mum found the cache on the way back to the car. 29/48 caches for the day and 250 for our trip. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies

So quiet and peaceful - noone drove by while I stopped, found the cache, and made my way back to the car. It's times like this I remember why I like caching - it makes you stop and admire the scenary.
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

#14019. Once position on the ample parking, Troodles was dispatched to wade through the wet long grass to get GZ. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker while taking the scenic route back home to Christchurch, via Cave and Pleasant Point, after spending an enjoyable Easter break in Timaru.
I volunteered to go get the cache as the grass was longish (despite recent mowing) and wet. I think I searched every possible place where a cache could be hidden before the GPSr made up its mind and finally pointed to the right place. Enjoyed the drive. TFTC.

Had to use my geo skills for this one as i had no support from my phone. as there is no service up there ... just the compass but found in a fairly obvious place TFTC
Up visiting friend who lives down the road and we decided such a nice day was a sign we had to go caching, so jumped in the car and took a very windy route from Otaio to Cave. Found some great caches along the way and saw some new places.
Grass was so wet and out spotter by the car lost sight of us.
Not in the obvious spot to us..... but got there.
As shutting the box set off a toy inside and that scared up as we thought there was some wierd creature in the grass with us lol.

Took abit of finding. Long grass, hidden ditch in the long grass and finally got the cache in hand. Tftc
The grass was knee high and very wet, wandered back and forth so left some good elephant tracks if anyone comes anytime soon. A police car came past very fast. I glad we were well off the road. TFTC
heading into town this morning when 19 emails popped up on my phone, cool someone's been out on the GMBT ( or my newly published caches) I thought, so didn't bother checking wasn't until I resurfaced from my first dive of the day and was happy to spot a few new ones, as the day progressed I continued to check with no logs as of 5.45 pm when we finally finished up and left the port and no surprise it was raining. well I had been wet all day so a little more water wasn't going to make much difference .
so maybe a ftf , unfortunately the grass was well flattened around the area for that to be on the cards so had to settle for Bronze at least it keeps me on track for 100 a month tftc

Set off for a road trip to Twizel early in the morning. It is 5 mins slower going by Omarama from my house but through 'the gorge' enabled me to grab a FTF. These corners are quite nice on a bike, stick it in third and one can enjoy a bit of bend swinging. Cheers
