Found an empty cachsome distance from where im guessing it is meant to be. Cache is also empty unfortunately
Found container empty and some way away. Put container back where i think it should go but there was no log
Read the notes From other people, someone found it last in March 2021 with nothing inside, and hasn’t been found since
Nice find from little man KJ, he was hoping for a swap however no contents or log... KJ left a special key ring from the Awa as the hide was next to the river off for a ice cream from McDonalds
Was thrown off by the description so was looking for a camo container until my 13yr old found it lol great container TFTC
An interesting version of the story and a quick easy find of a nicely camouflaged cache which gets a favourite from us. TFTC
Wow! This one sure wont blow away.
I was muggled here on my out to the mole but was able to make the grab in between sneaky, silent e-cyclists on my return ride. TFTC supasi (and I love the old house across the road).

Flowerydaze and I are up in Whanganui for a few days of caching and this one was on the list. A great day for caching, a lot of muggles using this path but FD managed to retrieve it while I kept watch. Clever camo TFTC
A quick find despite the clever camo job. A nice area for a stroll and it's a bonus to find some caches along the walkway. A bit of patience was required while a muggle wandered by. Thanks so much for placing a cache here.
I had been here before but struggled to find quality searching time with many muggles about. Today, I guess the regular walkers stayed home due to the strong winds. I was here with fellow Wellington cacher, The Wandering Dragons and the nicely concealed treasure was soon found.
Cache # 4,916 - Quick find on a morning without many other walkers. Did with brucewwnz. TNLNSL. TFTC!
#12,075. Walk and grab in Whanganui. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a bit of a search. Well hidden. The cache container was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Day 1 (With Squirrel Nutcase) of our Whanganui road trip.
Knew this was going to be a long day today. First cache found about 8am and last one found just before midnight.
Mission today Event, A cache starting with the letter U, Several Multi's, Earth Cache, Virtual and anything else we could find.
Achieved all the above.
Thanks to Cache Owners for their placement efforts and sorry about the cut and paste but this was a huge weekend for us. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... On a road trip weekend - We haven’t been on anything like this since Covid Episode One in March. A special Community Event in Whanganui got our attention. So we’re off to the ‘River City’ for a bit of fun...
Day One of our adventure - We intended on caching out some big trails as we made our way to the event... This one marked the beginning of several riverside caches. A quick find, but the number of track users was starting to build. Thanks supasi and TFTC.

Once again I am up in Wanganui (from Wellington) for the weekend, out and about for a few more caches. Spent the beautiful afternoon strolling along the river pathway collecting caches, and this was one. All safe and dry, TFTC.
A quick and easy find. My son found it today while we were out biking on the walkway. Came back this evening with a pen to sign the log. TFTC!
Only a pair of fishermen near gz, but they were packing up as we approached. Didn’t take long to locate this well camouflaged cache
Second visit to this one as previously there were muggles around. Came early in the morning and systematically search lots of nooks and crannies. About to give up when I stumbled on the cache and realised I had made myself wet and muddy unnecessarily. Nice hide. Favourite from us. Thanks
A second or third go at this one and success this time. There was a fresh logstrip in the container from the Seagnoid so he must have been by lately. Nice and quiet down here thankfully and avoided dirtying my jeans (for once!)
In Whanganui for a week over Christmas, visiting and staying with our daughter and her partner and letting the news that she's expecting her first child, which will make 12 grandchildren for us! We squeezed in a cheeky trip to New Plymouth during the week and I advanced my TMGT cache finds to over 30, as well as grabbing a few more 'new' Virtual caches as well as my 180th Earth cache. Grabbed a cache on xmas day morning too meaning my 5-days will be complete on Leap-day next year - yay! Thanks to all COs whose caches I found and individual logs wherever possible.

We're in Wanganui for EtherLady's family's Christmas gathering, so why not grab a few caches towards the current 3, 2, 1, Go promotion while we're outside of our normal caching grounds?
A quick find on our way into town after dropping the sprogs off at my Parents'. Time for a quick date night without tag-a-longs (even if we did just end up taking a McD's caramel sundae and Hot Choc up to Virginia Lake...)

With a name like that we spent quite some time underneath getting nowhere. It wasn't till I was looking at some old logs that I spotted something that suggested we were in the wrong place. After that the cache was a quick find. The log was mush, so we installed a nice new waterproof florist's paper log.
Day two of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki.
Left Palmerston North and headed to Rattll's Christmas Barbecue event. Managed to travel as far as Whanganui - it's going to be a slow trip!!

Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Heading back to Zara but time to stop off here. We looked for ages in all the wrong places. Finally located this elusive one and award it with a temp RITR log to keep it rolling along. Cheers
Day 2- Sunday, 15 December. Palmerston to Wanganui today.
With the Etherlord Kids in tow we head north towards Wanganui and the awesome Rattls BBQ. Then TS and I head towards Wanganui then team up with Infoferret for an afternoon of caching.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Find number 6377. In Wanganui with a German friend who is doing part of the Te Araroa trail. After dropping her off at where she had previously go to I spent the day caching. I had my bicycle so spent the day on the cycle trails each side of the river.
I had to wait for a muggle to pass before beginning my search. The log was damp but able to scratch a signature on it. Thank you for the placement

We managed to track this one down after waiting for the exercise buff to move off only to find the log was saturated. Did our best to sign the log. TFTC # 14,818
My goodness as we approached this one we saw someone doing probably 100 push-ups in double quick time. Some people are so fit! Had to kind of just hang out for a while until he decided he'd had enough exercise and sauntered off, no problems after that. TFTH .
This is my second full day in Wanganui getting lots of caches around town. I really like the camo on this one. TFTC.

Spending the weekend in Wanganui attending a meeting staying at Springvale park in the camper. We set off today to do some caches around town. Mr S found this one but the log is soaked, soggy and difficult to write on. Quite a few muggles on the pathway today. Lots like it is a popular path.
Thanks supasi.
Thanks supasi.
(# 5244). Off on a road trip from Wellington today to grab some caches for the Mystery At The Museum challenge. A quick find after waiting for a cyclist to ride past. A nice hide but the log was very damp. Moved the container a little higher so any water passing by will not drown it. TFTC
Spent a pleasant day caching in Whanganui. The forecast rain held off until late in the day which was good. Took me a while to find. The log is very wet. Just managed to scratch my mark. Cheers and TFTC
Didn't spot at first tried looking what i thought was everywhere but then had an aha moment and get the smiley. Just shows what happens when you approach a cache with prefixed ideas. Nice Hide TFTC
Going back to the car after completing another cache we had this one pop up on our gps - I played watch out whilst Stretch0 hunted and hunted and swore then hunted some more the result was a cache and a log to sign ( log is very wet but we managed to just get our pen to write on it - thanks for the cache good hide
Had plenty of time to search this afternoon after a shower scared of the muggles but no luck.
Second attempt and Mr Berries found it. Log was soaking wet and unable to be written on at all. Didn't have a spare sorry! Will need a new log book. TFTC
One of ten caches located on our way home from New Plymouth to Wellington today. Found three in Wanganui as we passed through. Took a brief moment to find this one after ferreting through the nearby ‘materials’. #2231. TFTC.
Day 4/9 of our New Years trip up to the North Island. No luck here for us on this one. Under the bridge was wet and a bit stinky so we did our best to search while not touching the ground too much.
I knew the title for this cache would lead me to something like that. Got the right place first time and saw the cache tucked away well. TFTC.
Day Six of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today we traveled from New Plymouth around the coastal route, through Whanganui and across to Palmerston North. The weather was nicer than yesterday, if still a bit windy, but certainly no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities.
This one was on the way to another with high favourite points, so made sure to stop off and look as I passed. With the good description, it didn't take long to locate the cache. Signed the log and replaced safe and secure as found, after picking up a TB to take on further travels. TFTC

No luck for me a few days ago. I did my best troll impression to no avail. Next time .....,,,
Troll tried running away with plastic bag. Retrieved it and replaced very damp logbook. Some pages falling out. TFTC
We had just 12 caches left to find to qualify for the 250 Finds In June Challenge, so decided a trip to Wanganui would do the trick, focusing on the Riverside Ramble series. We essentially began up at Aramaho and worked our way back towards the city. It was a beautiful morning and we had many fine river views.
We had expected the ramble to be along a well cared for walkway as we knew of from Dublin St Bridge back along past the CBD and on towards Castlecliff. However, we were disappointed to find an uncared for, hardly there in places, track, often quite muddy and even closed in one section (at "Riverside Ramble - end of the road"). Access was often difficult and the road busy with no parking, so we just had to leave several caches out altogether and only managed to get eight of the thirteen Riverside Ramble caches we'd hoped for.
The first few from the Aramaho end were fine, accessible from the road, where there was room to park, or with clear instructions as to where to get down to the river track. This was much appreciated. But further on we were often very unsure about where we could safely park and find access down to caches.
Fortunately we had four other caches to go for too and were successful in those, so got our needed twelve.
As we arrived this morning we deviated first to the west after crossing Cobham Bridge to revisit the 'troll' bridge here again. We had a little more information this time and soon made the find. We would have got it the first time but had no doubt suffered from an assumption about the hide - not a good thing to do when caching! TFTC

Had to get this one after work. Only had 2 hr to get the next cache before the day closes. Rain was tipping it down and was soaked before I even g9t to GZ. Phone luckily still working despite the rain. Didn't take long to find it - it is a good hide nevertheless. TFTC
I was a bit disheartened when I saw that the last log was a DNF, so was quite surprised when I found it almost instantly, very cleverly hidden but did look a bit suspicious.
Thursday was going to be a nice fine day and so we planned a trip to Wanganui, needing just 4 caches to complete our 250 June Challenge, and to make a start on the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We aimed for a modest 14 caches, but only managed to locate 10.
Things didn't go so well before we even left Palmy - Mr G's hospital appointment delayed us over an hour, when previous times we'd been in and out quickly (it would be today, of course). Then, as we approached Wanganui the forecast fine day turned into a wet one, and a lot of our caching was done in drizzle and very wet underfoot. To add to that the first two caches were fails for us!
This was the second one. We walked on from "Pied Stilt Birding C" to this but sadly the Billy Goats Gruff were not at home and seemed to have taken the cache with them! We spent a long time searching in accordance with the co-ords and hint, and found an ideal placement spot there, but no cache. We broadened our search quite a lot, but still had no success, and didn't want to end up too wet and muddy when we'd only just begun our caching, so gave up after some time - not at all encouraged for our caching today. Fortunately it mostly improved after this.

Awesome cache - first premium find love to creativity and a good one to drop in on
Today I had to undertake another road trip to try and complete the Planetary Pursuits souvenir hunt. This time a swoop on the remaining solved puzzles and quality, high Favourite Point Whanganui geocaches. At the end of a long day, 2.5 hours drive each way, eleven caches found and logged, but also four DNFs.
Thank you to all the cache owners. I love your work. Next time I’ll have to travel even further!
After wasting my time trying to re-log *By Another Means*, Tama & I continued my walk, his run, to this cache. Worth the extra effort. Quick, easy find, though clever. Would’ve been a Park & Grab if we hadn’t parked so far away! TFTC

Out to fill in a dot day. Nipped into town to find shops closed.
Nice day but no muggles, wouldn't have that would effect the walkway.
GPS settled easy this time and cache was located.
Cheers.

My plan for this easter break is to find and log all of the caches along this river walkway that i was unable to find last year.
Had to wait for a short while for some muggles to get out of line of sight before looking for the cache.
Found the cache in no time recovered the log book and sign it

The outer part of the cache looked like it belonged to the Big Billy Goat Gruff! Managed to SL between passing walkway users. Tftc
Spotted the camo. Fortunately seen a few like these. Good cache. All good here. Tftc
Found while out and about with tmann421, just getting around to logging this now
A nice quick find, though not quite waht I was expecting. Cheers.
Today is the day we head to New Plymouth, after some time biking the trail from the sea to the city. Another great weather day..
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I was up in Whanganui for a few days visiting schools and friends in the area and thought it was a good opportunity to gather up a few of the caches i had not managed to find and the newer on es . I visited this site a few months ago but it turned out to be missing so it was a re visit. But once again i searched and search even down on my belly! and it wasn't until i had a little help from fellow cachers that i located it. It is so obvious and simple and so cleverly placed. thank you for this cache and another smiley face. I have given it a fav point from me.
Thought we would get out and about today with the kids and visiting whanau, so ticking off a few more geocaches was the best plan...
Another of our cache finds for the day...Miss 9 was extremely excited about this one simply because of its name...She was on her mission and within minutes she had the cache in hand...very clever...tftc

I took miss 8 and 7 out this afternoon and the deal was to go to the play park after we went geocaching. We approached GZ only to have some muggles walking the walkway very slowly with their dog. We duly waited for them to pass before hunting the cache down. A quick find but took time to admire the hide - well done supasi.
We traded some swag and left an East Cape pathtag from the 2013 Auckland Mega. We stuck around GZ doing 'kids' stuff before making our way to Kowhai Park as promised.
Thanks for the cache supasi.

Stopped here this afternoon on a bike ride down this splendid cycleway to Castlecliff and back. Looked in all the obvious places first with no luck, then was just about to give up when I tried one last thing and there it was! Considering where it is, I'm impressed that the cache contents are in such good condition. Signed log, TFTC
I removed this a while ago with the threat of flooding, sorry I forgot to disable at the time. Will replace as soon as I can get back to gz. Shouldn't be to far away.
