Time to launch another raid into the Waikato - I'm slowly chipping away at these placements but it seems there's always more work to be done
I was comfortably able to pull over and search for this one. Given the size, we didn't have any trouble spotting it and I was happy I didn't need to climb the bank. Cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, hint and a straight forward placement. Cheers Jooshyboy, TFTC

Hi everyone, I have disabled this geocache as it is placed in a position where parking is limited and around residents. And the cache was confiscated multiple times by unknown people. Thanks
A great day hunting with my daughter and her friends for her birthday, introducing them to the work of geocaching! unfortunately I couldn’t swap anything, but didn’t think an ants nest who decided to take residence would want us to - tried to clean out as much as we can, with the hilarity of the 11yo girls trying to help. did manage to log in!
Nice to not have to scramble to get this super size cache. Plenty of room to pull over and get kindling if you need it.
It's good to finally be out of the fog. We left a fine sunny day in Tauranga to be greeted with typical Waikato fog! This cache wasn't quite where I expected it to be. Thanks for the cache Jooshyboy
Good size could see it on the opposite side of the rd. Clearing out North Waikato caches today. Tftc
Quick find. Could do with a bit it more camouflage. Lots of ants enjoying the container. Dropped our pathtag. Thanks.
Out today finding caches with Kiwiteacher. Great little spot for a park n grab. Thanks for the cache.
Out caching with Novalightning on a lovely spring morning. Signed logs as KTNZ and NOVA. Many thanks for large cache.
Perfect hiding spot. Always a pleasure to find a cache of this size after hunting for micros all the time! TFTC.
I finally realised I might have climbed the wrong hill and looked across the road where I spotted a very obvious cache. Duh???
I was spotted by a local farmer who stopped to talk and he gave me the history of the 1970's Expressway that was never built. Very interesting.

My maps on my cellphone said my destination was on my right as I drove east. So when I parked up that is where I searched, but after a few minutes I realised my cellphone directed me to the other side of the road! Well, how about that! Looked across the road and there it was... large as life.
After finishing up work in the early afternoon, I decided to reward myself with a drive in the country. Nice weather for it so far. This was my first stop of the day. I parked up near GZ and made the short walk back. NZtravellers did a good job of tucking it away as I walked past it without noticing. Turned around and spied the good sized container. A quick hop up the bank and the formalities were soon completed. Cheers for the cache placement!
Been in Hamilton working for the day and still needed 190 points to get all the planet souvenirs so decided to tackle a few on the way home. The 3 down this road looked good as a short detour and this was the first find.
Found this sitting out in the open so after signing the log I rehid this a little better so it wasn't visible from the road.
After grabbing the three on this road I got a call from Lostcourse stating that he knew where I had been caching as he had just done these 3 as well.... its a SMALL world.

A very fast find. Didn't even need to get out of the car to spot it. Crossing the road was a bit scary (but thankfully no cars came by). Thanks for this one (surprised it hasn't been muggled, but then again, who would take something so large?).
Wow way to be inconspicuous! Almost laughable how it is so obvious to a geocacher and nobody else. Michaelteacher spotted this large cache while we were trying to figure out where to park across the road. Log is damp and smells pretty funky. Tftc
Out and about on a cache raid in the Waikato, quick park and grab of a nice big container TFTC.
My heart sank as I parked safely near the stumps....up a steep short scramble....not my sort of thing at all.
Then I read some previous logs....phew ...just a 1/1 really ...and was easily able to reach up bank on other side of road !
As it's a bucket I added a few toys for swag!
Cheers

Started looking on wrong side of road and looked at the bushes. Fortunately realised in time and it was a nice quick find. Took a TB that wasn't supposed to be there.
A quick detour while collecting the massive 'eye' series. So I can't remember the individual caches sorry! Dropped a TB but was beaten to logging it as I see it's already been grabbed. TFTC
Didn't help that I was looking on the wrong hill, changed sides and quickly found it.

well the gps had me doubting the terrain score quite a bit.. until i got there and realised it had dont its old trick of "locking on road" by its self ( now does it do that.. happens occasionally) so down i went and across to the more logical side.. now indicated.. and so much easier find.. wish there were a few more of these of this size on the main roads! TB out
I had noticed three caches that were out on their own to the East of Taupiri and that they had been there for a while. So it was time that I signed them off. Not many stumps here.
Cheers for the cache.

I was heading down to Hamilton, so I stopped to get this little cluster of three caches. Left: Jean_Luc-A TB. TFTC.
Another quick find, didn't need gps - spotted it from the road! Tftc!
On my way home, so I decided to stop and pick up the caches on this road.
Drove up here and let a car pass before getting out of the car. While sitting there I could spy something... could it be the cache? Went to grab it, but it wouldn't come out that way, so had to do as you suggested and consider climbing...

During the monthly 18@18 event Kiwi69 mentioned an interest in taking off for an afternoon of Geocaching and since I had not returned to work yet and my wife was agreeable to the idea a plan was quickly hatched. Kiwi69 popped around for some lunch and then we shot off heading north with me driving and a rough plan in place. I really enjoyed the drive, the Geocaching and the company. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches we found and for maintaining them.
Always nice to find decent sized containers. Cache was easy to spot and we were soon off on our way back home. I have been meaning to grab this for ages so it was nice to tick it off.

Nice back road to home for me .Greatful no one seen me climbing up the bank on wrong side of road apart from my grandson.but did find it in the end .My grandson enjoyed the car inside .Thanks
An enjoyable catch up with local geocachers at the monthly 18@18 event last night in Hamilton also led to plans for a very impromptu mini-mission with IamMrWalker to cache along the Tahuna-Ohinewai Road this afternoon. My recent knee op limits my caching options for the time being, but its great to be out & about regardless, enjoying great caching company, finding caches and, even better today, driveby placements that don't require much walking or deep knee bends!
Read the cache description here & decided this was one for IamMrwalker. Thankfully neither the hill nor the hide were too challenging. A well-stocked cache, log signed, cache all good, TFTC

Out on a trip with 11hpg11 to grab all the caches in Hamilton we could that we've been procrastinating. Safety in numbers!
11hpg11 found this one but made me retrieve it because I'm so tall. I guess that's fair. Feels like I'm being used for my height though

Out today with Kyb3r to clean up some local caches that we have been procrastinating over for far too long. A nice easy mission today, no early starts, no crazy goals... just some nice quick drivebys plus a few small walks.
Was looking around for the hill and glad it was a smaller hill than what I was expecting. Spotted the cache on approach and luckily Kyb3r had height on his side and could reach the cache from the road. I had the job of returning it and needed to take a step or two up the bank to return it. A good sized and well stocked cache.

We were over the north side of the city, so decided to carry on and collect the three caches in this area.
A great big cache, so I added a cap. I hope it gets warm enough soon that someone needs it. I took a scout badge to sew on my cache pack.

News Years Day, perfect for a series of driveby and walkbys in the Waikato. With no-one around parking was pretty easy. Thanks.
Slight detour to pick up these caches. No problem with this one and cache replaced carefully. TFTC
Out collecting some of the new local caches, a quick grab.
TFTC Jooshyboy, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find of 7 today, making this find #1367

Managed to finsh work a little early and so it was a case of collecting a few out lying cahes in the north Waikato on the way home. A nice and quick find in the area and then onto the next one.
All quiet here today and better still no muggles to contend with
thank you for placing the cache and contributing to the smilie count.
Merry Christmas

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Casting our net wide for two caches to meet a personal challenge requirement...
We have ventured a long way on a school night... Funnily enough, we collected the other caches in the vicinity on the night this one was published... Our iPhone gps pointed up the steeper bank across the road. As I was adjusting my trouser legs to begin the ascent, Gap spied the cache in a more convenient spot. TFTC.

7.40pm - Co Ords had us on the wrong side of the road but with a scout around soon found cache. Thanks for another new cache. SLTFTC
Was out Te Kowhia way visiting friends with the family and the wee one fell asleep not long into the trip back home, so decided that the long way home would be a great idea and a quick stop for a cache to make it all the more worth while.
Had looked at this one on a map so roughly knew where the cache was so parked up at the rough GZ and got the phone out to see how far away it was. Ended up not even needing the phone as I spotted the cache as I jumped out of the car. A quick sign and grabbed the TB, and back on the road before the little one was awake. Thanks for the cache.

2473 Off to clear these new ones. Nice park and find. Although cars decided to pass as I parked.
On a mission to get some north Waikato caches as I could not go fishing (too windy). tftc
Wasn't sure what to expect, description talked of a small hill, co-ords put it on the road side. Arrived at GZ and it was almost a "Park 'n' grab" soon had the log book in hand, and even though it was published last night we still got a {FTF}, dropped off a travel bug, thanks for the good sized cache
