After attending the recent GCLogan events, I had just enough time to squeeze in a few more caches before returning to NZ.I have smilied out most of Karawatha, except for an area in the northern sector, so targeted those today before the stormy weather arrived.A nice quick find once at GZ. TFTC
Sorry i've log too fast! But in this windy day, we make a little walk, and log this geocache.TFTC and thank you for the roll dice!
This afternoon I popped down to Karawatha to grab a couple of caches that I needed for the monthly spelling challenge. With those found quickly I decided to take a short walk in the forest and go look for this one as well. It eluded me for a few minutes but there were not that many places it could be and when I went back to check the first place I had looked it was there, just well hidden. Thanks for the cache Rothy6!
31/03/2024 - 09:00Out for an Easter stroll with Bobosbandits and this was our first target for the day. Nothing inconspicuous about a group of 5 loitering around a bush. We all had a good of idea of where wed need to look but it was Mrs BB who made the find with her pointy stick. A quick sign of the logbook and the geo-kid BBjr dropped off a unicorn to keep the wombat company. marcussjd9#206TFTC
After work today, we went for a wander and cache in Karawatha Forest. Great Park to walk around and well-maintained tracks, and not too busy for a Monday either. All caches found, signed and returned. TFTC
Danke fr's Austfteln, Herlocken, Verstecken und Pflegen !Thank you very much for luring us here as well as for hiding and maintaining the cache !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . Had to roam a little bit due to GPS bouncing about, but my eye caught something before it could catch up. Log will need to be replaced shortly as well. Tftc!
The little chikins and I were enjoying a lovely afternoon walking around Karawatha. There were a number of other walkers all doing loops and laps as we kept passing the same people on the trails. Was a lovely quick find here. No. 7 for us. TFTC.
TFTC. Took the obligatory photo. Log is full and it seems the stach is the new log. Maintenance required.
I only have a few moments to spare today so it is just a couple of caches to keep my personal challenge ticking along. As I was in the area, I saw two very likely suspects that could fill in my places for today, so I drove around and found a park nearby. It was a nice walk around to both of these and both were easy finds and with no one around made for an even easier grab.
I signed the log and replaced as found and continued on with my tasks for the day. Thanks for the hides, all good with this one.

Special treat on this one as I was entertained by an opera singer practising an aria. The things you find in this park .... TFTC
Cute cache name. I decided that because Shazzar66 is watching her weight, this cache must be named after me. TFTc
Lots of muggles to avoid on this beautiful autumn day. A short walk and GPS confusion but we got there after a while without being spotted. TFTC
Discovered this new spot, decided to grab a few caches. Out with GeoMum from Geocache a lot 2014. Passing shower was not going to deter us. GPS took us straight to GZ. Quick grab and cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced.
It was really hard cause it was under some dust from the previous people. Eventually found and had some fun

Sunday. Another nice quick find here in the company of OBC and mini-OBC, and such a pretty area.
This was the 5th of 5 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Rothy6*** for showing us this place

Today, the plan was mountain biking around Karawatha Forest in Logan, to celebrate the 21st anniversary of geocache *Queens Land* with a scheduled community celebration event. After attending the morning photograph and cake session, I headed out west following the Ironbark Circuit. I then proceeded in a general anti-clockwise direction visiting lat&long junkie's favourite spot / virtual cache, and then riding south on Casuarina Trail, passing the quarry lake along the way. I then rode along the Maculata Trail, completing the Holden series (HS) trail. It was well past lunchtime by the time I finished riding approximately 30 km in distance, and after making a stop in the Kuraby Bushlands, I then found a few oldie geocaches in Karawatha Forest West. I closed out the day with a late lunch stop and a couple of geocaches in nearby Jack Pyle Park.
I decided to take my MTB around this loop, and found the nice little hiding spot reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Rothy6 for the cache placement, and Dranyer for its ongoing maintenance.

Here this morning for the Queenslander event, I took a walk to collect these nearby caches.
A quick find at GZ.
Thanks for placing the cache here.

Another quick find for the Jester-kiwi and the Princess... TFTC Having a great day out. Met other cachers on the same hunt
Tuftc. Nice quick and met a few more cachers trying to get the same one. Great day for an event and circuit.
We decided to come early to the 21st anniversary event so that we could do a quick circuit before the temperatures rose too high. After a quick chat with Max and a squiz at the map we were off. This was our first find and it was found nicely tucked away. TFTC Rothy6
Found while attending the nearby event.
After few finds further away and a short break for a rest we decided to grab just one more cache. Nice quick find and met some new to me cachers at GZ. TFTC

While at the Queens Land - 21 Years On event I took a solo walk around the nearby 5 caches early in the day. It's a very pleasant wander and I was very leisurely in an attempt to not over heat!
I really was hoping to see a wombat, but alas none turned up The cache looks as though it is living there instead. TFTC, Rothy6 and DutchAus.

Before attending the nearby event, son and I located this hide, Thanks Rothy6, and Dranyer for keeping it alive
While attending the Queens Land - 21 Years On event it was time to head off into the bush on foot to collect some caches. I do envy those who can whizz around on their bikes but me+??=??. So 7 caches collected this time TFTC
Found it, use my phone..
I need a new phone.. accuracy on phone is noodles..

One last grab before exiting the area after the cebration event this morning. I would say it's not great to leave unattended icons around the place when you visit, but as I was cleaning some up with Bulldozer72, others were being released... It's relentless I tell ya.
No trouble with this one as we approached to find jester-kiwi and the princess gathered closed to GZ. As we drew near, thay asked if we were hunting wombats. Err...of course we are.
A short shuffle to the west, jester-kiwi soon had the container in hand and the log was passed around for some ceremonial signing.
Cheers Rothy6 and thanks to Dranyer for maintaining the cache.

Grabbed this one while at the community celebration event. The kids loved it great area to spend a few hours.
Found while hitting the trials while attending the GC8HJEB Queens Land - 21 Years On event being held nearby.
Thanks Rothy6 and Dranyer for the cache and the hunt!

Grabbed the Geo-Dad and headed out early to trek down to the Karawatha Forest to participate in Community Celebration Events - 2020 (belated as it is now 21st birthday celebrations).
Arrived deliberately early, to tackle the 5-6 caches in the nearby walking circuit.
Cache 1 for the day.
Wandered around, having to calibrate the iPhone and the GPS my Dad had so that they would point in vaguely the same direction
Got here and found the little hidden target eventually.
Signed and returned. Thanks for the cache.

A quick find. Heading back to the carpark after a few hours walking. A few muggles on the trail here. TFTC
Have been childminding for 2 nights so brought our 4 and 1 yr old granddaughters to this park to fill in the morning. Since the Discovery Centre was closed because its Anzac Day we looked for a cache. Miss 4 signed the log and insisted we do some CITO as well. Thanks Rothy6 and Draynor for the cache
I initially doubted my location and missed the cache on my first sweep of the area... it was a second closer look and I spotted the container...
It’s hard to look innocent here when a walker passes by, but I’m sure I pulled it off... all those years studying drama...not...

I took a Mountain Bike ride through this area a couple of months back, first time I’d ridden here. My MTB mates don’t cache so stopping to pick up little boxes and sign logs is not an option as catching up is just not on. Looking back at old logs it seems the last time I cached here was for the Queensland 10 years Event. Wow, now another 10 years has passed.
Today after a FB post on my intended ride I was joined by TripleTurmoil as my victim for the day. I do like making people suffer while they are out on a bike ride. Tripe T showed she was up to the challenge and we had a fun day out exploring the trails in the area. Mind there were some we ventured along that even I will not ride back there again.
Did the caches in the area near the Information Centre first up.

Met with Ruzzelz for the first time for a ride around this forest, collecting caches. I didn't really think I was in for a ride as hard as it was. So many hills, big hills...up and down!! But I made it and we found plenty of caches along the way. Caching is all about getting out of your comfort zone, with some fun and laughs along the way.
Quick find here.

Like the others in this area, in a hidey hole in fallen wood. Had some natural cammo, but an easy enough find.

We took the drive to Karawatha Forest to locate a number of the nearby caches. This was the first. A quick search at the GZ and the log book was signed. TFTC
We had planned to attend the event here today but all things being Covid it was cancelled. We decided to drive up from the GC anyway and collect some caches here on this special day. We had a list prepared that included Queens land and Queens Land 10th Anniversary caches. After caching further south we drove up to the Discovery Centre to get some more.
Off on a short circuit and found this on the way. A quick find with a quiet trail.
