After overnighting in Mudgee, we decided to go local cache hunting before heading off to Bathurst.
We'll join the chorus - didn't find anything.

The original cache is still here, it has just gotten stuck further back in the pipe. So anyone wishing to change a dnf to a smiley are welcome as it was just by chance and luck you didnt 'find' it.

The cache location was not difficult to work out and unfortunately the container was not fully hidden so it was very easy to find and retrieve without my gloves. I have found another cache just like this in Morisset. Thanks Chuze for another good hide.
In Mudgee for Easter camping out at the gun club and doing some caching thanks
Mudgee trip for The Road Less Traveled series. Day 4. Mudgee to Canberra via Gulgong and Bathurst. On my last day I started with a few caches around Mudgee. Another tractor beats me, oh well.
Thanks.

Thanks.

We bought a new car a couple days ago and thought we would test how well she runs with a little geofun.
Not so easy find but when you do you will be laughing at how hard you looked

Heading back to Canberra, after my much needed holiday staying with my parents in Caloundra ... been up there for several weeks (for Christmas, and most of January
Have been doing lots of "Geocaching Therapy" - found at least one cache a day since I left home, kept going until the day after I got home ...
TFTC - I had put some random street in Mudgee in my GPS, and I was near here when I realised I was in Mudgee - time to put the next random place in my GPS instead. While I was stopped - any caches nearby? ... yes, this one ... was expecting something magnetic ... until I approached GZ ... didn't take long to find it

We are heading from Brisbane to Bright in Victoria, caching as we go, wherever it is safe to pull up with the caravan. We left Brisbane on 3rd Jan and don't have to be in Bright til the end of the month. Today, after an overnight camp in Sandy Hollow, we moved further west towards Mudgee. Did not plan to do too many caches as we traveled as it was heading to be another hot day. A call from Liz & Bruce had us meeting half way for coffee in the bush. Onwards to Mudgee, where we set up the caravan and headed out for a few more caches.
This one, after searching for a while, and then reading some previous logs, I put on my gloves, reached in and found the cache.
The log is not waterproof, just a small piece of paper inside a mint tin. Thanks Chuze

We are staying at the Mudgee showgrounds and with this extreme heat we headed out for a while to get some caches before returning to the comfort the aircon in the caravan provides. This was one of the caches we targetted and were able to find and we thank Chuze for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
On a two day caching trip with GeodudeAU to cover more of TRLT series and others from Carcalgong-Mudgee-Gulgong-Ilford-Capertee-Lithgow. We had 90 finds and only a few DNFs for our efforts. A great couple of days exploring the Central Tablelands seeing some amazing places we wouldn't normally visit. We even survived the mini-hurricane that swept through our campsite along the Cudgegong River at TSR (Cullenbone)! Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches. Most were in good order and easily found with the help of handy hints to get CIH.
After dinner, in the dark, nano, tractor? No hope? But somehow I reached in and had CIH in quick time. Phew!! TFTC

Out with Brewmaker for a 2 day trip finding caches along The Road Less Travelled series and other nearby ones. On this day 1 we started around Carcalgong and then headed north through Windeyer, Grattai and Erudgere before finally camping overnight at Mudgee.
It was an enjoyable journey through the countryside seeing farm and native animals along the way. There was only a little bit of light rain at times today, which didn't cause a problem.
We found all of the caches very easily (with just one providing a longer search). Most of the caches were in good order, so all in all it was a good day's caching. Thanks to all of the COs for providing this trail
Eventually found it in the dark. I really wanted to climb that rocket....

Not too found of this kind of caches, with all the possible locations to search, we still thought we should give it a go. And, lo and behold, the cache was found in one of the first places we looked.
Out and about to get out of town for a while, couple of quick caches on the way around, no ryhme nor reason , we found all bar 2 what we looked for, many thanx to the cache places
cheers from the Routers

Log should be water proof. Unless someone replaced it. Just dab dry. Ive washed this paper and its made from stone
Quick find - the eclipse tin is a great temporary fix but stands out a lot, could be easily muggled. Log is also quite damp after all the rain today. TNLN, TFTC!
Found log without container. All we had was an eclipse mint tin so we used that.

2/10/17. 3:45 PM. Cache #5439.
32nd of 38 finds (& 5 DNFs) today.
Day 3 of the long weekend for which I have come up to plunder caches in the Mid West Regional council.
Now I was back in Mudgee again after spending all morning caching in smaller suburbs and towns to the north as far as Gulgong.
There are 15 caches in Mudgee proper as of today, and I ended up with 10 finds, 2 DNFs and skipped 3.
I came past this cache about an hour earlier, in between "Toad in the hole" and "History of Mudgee". I'd parked opposite, but there were muggles right on GZ and they didn't look like moving any time soon. Made some more finds and then after a bit of an uphill climb and some magpie shenanigans at "Rocky Road", I decided enough time had passed to have another crack.
This time the park was empty, woohoo! Not so woohoo that the hide was complex machinery, not my favourite sort of hide. After a few minutes, I soon saw what looked like a rolled up log. Checking past logs confirmed that others have mentioned no container, so I unrolled it, signed it and replaced it again, sorry I don't have a spare container. Lucky it hasn't rained for ages is all I can say. Anyway, all I have left to try in Mudgee is the three in the Glen Ayr area to the south west. "Common Cache, Mudgee" was next. TFTC.

Found as part of a weekend away with Hoojar. We headed up towards Gulgong the first night and camped near the start/ end of TRLT (@ -5 degrees ). The next day we made it through some nice historic places and great rolling countryside to finish up at Sunny Corner after a feed in Bathurst. The next day a few more finds before we headed home. Plenty of roadkill spotted, not many cars and not too much trouble at each cache. Thanks to all those cache hiders .
Thankfully Hoojar made relatively short work of this one.

The opportunity finally arose that Steeba and I both had a free weekend to go caching. We quickly settled upon the northern half of The Road Less Traveled series. We drove to Gulgong via Mudgee after work on Friday, camping just before midnight at the suggested TSR nearby.
Saturday we made our way via the caching trail, and the odd additional cache, to Bathurst for dinner, then back onto the trail to Sunny Corner where we again camped for the evening.
Sunday we turned our heads for home, via a few additional cache stops in Portland and Wallerawang.
A fantastic weekend away, with excellent country to be seen and company to be had. We enjoyed the caches that we found.
Thank you to all of the cache owners, and sorry for the boiler-plate logs!
I nearly left my GPS behind at this one! Found after a fairly long search.
Cheers

TFTC. Quick find with Geokid3 on the way to BBM. Love the rocket ship and tractor. Such a shame the rocket us sealed off and kids cannot be kids anymore.
This made our 30th find. We had a great time telling the kids stories of the rocket ship we had at our local park as kids. Great hide which was fun and easy enough for the kids. Thanks
Great hide, took a while to find and with help from a stick we were able to retrieve it.
The park was a great place for our little boy to burn off some excess energy because there hadn't been much opportunity earlier in the day. Surprisingly, he wasn't all that keen on the rocket, though he did ask how one might get inside.
He has a passion for anything with wheels, tractors being a firm favourite. Thus, he entertained himself pretending to drive the farm implement while I conducted a search for an elusive micro. I was beginning to get that sinking feeling of despair when I couldn't spot it. I've found nanos on larger contraptions -- goodness knows how -- so I was feeling my geosenses were letting me down today. Eventually, I felt something, and with some gentle coaxing managed to retrieve the container.
Log signed and all put back where I found it.

Had no problems in finding this cache. This cache was found after a short search. The log was signed and the cache was replaced as found. Thank you Chuze for placing this cache.
