I am temporarily disabling until I can replace the cache, shouldn't be too long
ScubaSteve87 I didnt find your cache Arachnophobia on 4/8/2024, 10:30AM. Nope, had a look around while in the area but no spiders did I see, only a blue tongue lizard.
Next, Mr Curious Quest and I headed to this cache. Despite looking and looking and getting covered in spiderwebs, we failed to locate this cache. We will try again another day.
I couldn't find anything but there was a lot of rubbish around so it was a bit hard to tell.
Needing a cache to continue my streak, I decided to come over to this area. I parked at the closer location which was a good thing as the pathway on the other side was blocked with tree loppers cutting down a tree. Luckily I was sheltered from the workmen by another tree at gz. Quick find and retrieval though the inner film canister is broken but log sheets were dry. Tftc
My apologies for the delay in checking in on this cache. Should be all good to go in the next few days
An easy find but the inner container and log need replacing!
Signed as CH as I was unable to unroll the log thanks to some wet weather.
I was concerned about the eyes of neighbours but thankfully no one was spied. Perhaps the heat had everyone sheltering inside by a fan!
This cache marks 200 for me, and my last before I get a year older! Thanks for the fun cache - always good to look for something other than a sistema!

I walked right past this one and looked at a few spots before i spotted this beast. wow thats a scary one. Thanks for all the fun
Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were finding some caches before we had to pick our daughter up. She was off to Thailand at 3am in the morning but that wasn’t going to stop her getting a free skinful of drink at a party the afternoon before she left. That’s young people for you: drink first and then worry about the questions at Customs later.
We walked down the pathway quietly just waiting for some random dog to bark at us but none did. We were also waiting for some random neighbours to be eyeballing us but none did. Clearly the random shuffler needs a bit of tweaking. tftc

A day of random caching around the eastern burbs…
It only took a moment to spy the cache… small hands helped in the retrieval process… tftc…

While my daughter was at a course at the Mt Gravatt TAFE, I decided to do some caching. Nice easy find. Cool cache. TFTC!
Today, the plan was the attendance of two CITOs on the southern side of Brisbane, which included a tree planting in Eagleby, and a litter clean-up in Ormiston. Between the CITOs, I took a stop a few stops around Carbrook and Mount Cotton, which involved the targeting of oldie geocaches. A brief stop in Bayview Conservation Park also allowed me to avenge a couple of DNFs. After the second CITO, I took the drive back home and made a few last stops along the way.
I had been meaning on stopping at this cache whilst driving past on so many occasions, but it had only been a dot on my map that I hadn't interrogated to understand where to best park. Today, I turned down the local sidestreet, to then make the walk along the easement. I must have been in the zone as I had completely walked past GZ, so I backtracked, and then after looking around, I found the hinted object. Despite knowing what I was going to find, it still gave me a little fright. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks ScubaSteve87 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

As I found this late at night, I jumped when I saw it on the ground. Not sure if it's in the right spot though as it was upside down on the ground when I found. Cool cache though definitely gave me a fright.
Happy Halloween fellow cachers! So far, cache themes today have included cemeteries and arachnids. And this has been unintentional... Thanks for the cache.. I got some bonus dog nose scritches too
Time to kill
In Seven Hills
Find a cache or two
On the app
I viewed the map
This one was quite near
Took a stroll
I'm on a roll
Identified the lane
Found the log
Disturbed a dog!
But didn't have a pen.
I'll log it here
And when I'm near
The log I will complete!

Having a few hours to kill we thought we'd have a crack at cleaning up a few as yet unfound 'local' caches.
Mrs Vc made a quick find here.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

After attending the event this afternoon, a few of us stopped by here to take a look at this cache. Charli chamad found this one quite quickly, a large species here!
Log signed, cache replaced as found.
Thanks ScubaSteve87 for placing the cache here.

After todays event we discussed where to go and grab a couple of caches on the way home. I had been to this one once before but had no luck, today I was going to remedy that.
Looking at the log it seems the cache had been recently replaced so with that in mind Charli and I headed over for the grab. Willis007 and Brislions also joined in on the action. Arriving at the cache it was an easy find.
Thank you for replacing and keeping this one in play. With all our names in the new log and the cache returned as found we all went our separate ways. Truly a great caching day today, I got to spend it with both girls, attended an awesome event and finished a challenge series.

Found the outer cache on the ground but could not locate the inner log containing part of the cache. This cache is in need of some TLC
I will check on this cache this afternoon and will re-enable as soon as possible
Found the outer cache on the ground but could not locate the inner log containing part of the cache. A great idea for a cache, tftc ScubaSteve87
I found it and wasn’t able to log it as it was overrun by ants. The cache either needs replacing or a good clean out. TFTC
Hahah, found it then dropped it as was covered in ants .....scream!!!!
Being a big sook didn’t grab the log book ...
Jumped on my bike and cycled away.

Out for a day of caching fun with nikid1. I'm glad nikid1 was doing the signing honours on this one as I'm not a fan of ants either!

I don’t like spiders but oh so many ants ....
Cache quickly found but big black ants came flooding out. Signed the log with KerriMG but replacing it while trying to avoid getting ants all over me was quite a feat.

Took my sweet time overthinking the expectations for this one but finally spotted it. Totally scared me though because as soon as I touched the cache, I realised the area was covered in giant ants! Dropped it immediately and took me ages to get the ants off to sign it. Took even longer to muster up the courage to put it back.
Good hide but I'm not one for insects!

On the hunt today on my quest to find enough caches to qualify for the latest Mystery at The Museum souvenirs. I had finished the hard work with the gems and was now accumulating the last tally of caches. This was next on the list meeting my personal search requirements.
Well it took me a second lap around the block before I spotted the deceptive entryway in to the GZ location. I guess I should have read the cache page first to look up the listed entry points... With the hard work now done, there was no problem finding the cache and stamping my name in the logbook. TFTC

It turns out that that plunging your foot into an ant's nest is not a pleasant experience, nor one that was necessary to get my hands on the prize! It was quite the drama, but fortunately not one that any muggles had to witness.

We came for a drive through this area and found the laneway we would never have known about. We had a chuckle at GZ when we saw the container. The container its self is sitting just inside private property, so we left it where we found it, in case that is the intention of the owner.

Afternoon drive to pick up some caches between home and the river.
Left the gps in the car and tried this with three phone. Phone had me steady on top of a roof in along the alley. Spotted the large specimen after I put the stupid thing away.
Thank you for hiding this cache ScubaSteve87

I am down from Toowoomba for a few days.
Today is day 3 of caching and again, I am out and about with IolantheK. [^]
We had a few on our hit list for today. [^]
We soon found this cache, signed our names and returned it to where we found it. [^]
Now onto the next cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Today we headed out to Seven Hills, as that's where we both had caches to gather. I really wasn't looking forward to this container, as sometimes they can be a bit too realistic, but this one was okay. TFTC, ScubaSteve87.

A day out South of the river was planned for today, and despite the wet weather and muddy puddly ground, we decided to go for it anyway and made the most of things. After all, any day caching beats a day at work and what's a little water, we ain't made of sugar .
A muggle was taking leaves at one end, so I approached from the other. This one is in good company of loads of real arachnids, luckily I didn't make any close friends. A quick find here once I searched from the right angle.

We came across your cache, ScubaSteve87, on our geocaching day around the Bulimba area to clear up a few missing smileys.
Nice quick find. No need to worry about the eight legged creatures, it's the small green/black biting six legged ones inhabiting GZ that are the real issue. CO may like to check our cache replacement
Log signed and cache replaced at 12:48 PM on October 10, 2018. TFTC.

Arachnophobia part was OK it was the small black things that were crawling all over it that I was not fussed about. TFTC
Some time to kill today between work sessions so lets convert some green dots into smileys shall we.
Initially apprehensive making sure I had in fact got a pathway and not someones backyard but my fears were quickly dealt with when saw some ongoing work with orange tape around it.
Off I trotted, trying to remain inconspicuous, luckily, I quickly found the cache, retrieved, signed and replaced before I saw anyone else (and hopefully before they saw me).
The log is wet and could do with a replacement, apart from that it's in great condition, with an aptly named guardian. Thanks ScubaSteve, onto your next one .

An early commitment left me wandering in search of caches while the muggles were still (mostly) in bed.
I’ve been here before and surprised to have missed **that** when searching. Anyway, it was easy enough to spot today. Seems the family with the large barky dog has moved out.
TFTC SS87!

Was a little trepidatious riding the tredly down behind some peoples houses.... but did it anyway.
Parking in the shade near to gz, and with the hint i soon spyed the guardian/s! Jeepers, not so much a night cache.
Last find for the day at around five in the pm. Today's been a decent day out exploring, with this mebe making thirteen finds, and only two dnfs, (one of which being another of yours perth park where i was muggled out twice) another day. This makes find number 724. I think.
Thanks scubasteve for showing us this interesting backalley

Thanks. Found it this time. Didn't want to log a DNF. Just needed a little more hint from CO. Some mighty big spiders in there!!!
Out with Geopartner to find a few caches in the rain today.
Left Geopartner in the geomobile and headed in.
Arrived at GZ and was searching around and then spotted what I needed.
Grabbed the cache and then a whole army of green ants came scurrying out.
Green ant dance and lucky not one bite.
Finally all back where I found it and headed back.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks ScubaSteve87 All good with this cache

Wasn't too sure I should have stopped for this cache as I needed to be somewhere else with some urgency. Stopped anyway. Got to GZ and after surveying what was in front of me decided to go. As I turned to go, I spotted something out of place.
It was the cache and it appears to have escaped. So after signing the log book, I returned it to a spot close to the fence but probably not in its right spot.

Out to do a challenge today (25 different D/T's) with geofriends. An interesting cache , located in a good spot. TFTC
On a mission today with geo friends to complete the Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge (QLD) and when we arrived at GZ we thought it was going to take some effort to find but lucky for us someone in the group was on the ball and we ended up having a quick find. Thanks ScubaSteve87 for the fun hide and TFTC
An unusual little stretch of ground through here that provides access for some houses and not others. We were with friends today attempting their 25 different D/T's in a day challenge and this was one of the chosen caches. I have a similar one myself so I was pretty sure what I'd be looking for. It took a few minutes as it was missed the first scan around. But Richmond Lad came up with the prize and we were happy to sign the log. Cheers ScubaSteve87 and thanks for the cache!
Our group did a little searching before it was finally spotted. The guardian dog kept an eye on us but wasn't very noisy today. Thanks Scubasteve87.
Finally had a chance to get back here for another try at this one. The first attempt with Chasing Adventures was when it first came out and was thwarted by dogs barking. One called Toby really made a rumpus every time we breathed so we knocked it on the head before someone came out or called the police. The dogs were somewhat quieter today but not much. Luckily for me the cache was laying upside down on the ground so a quick find today. Signed log and rehid it near where I found it. Great cache container, just glad it was daylight when I did find it! TFTC ScubaSteve

Sorry for delay. This cache is back up and running after council works in the area
I am temporarily disabling due to council works in the area. Will be up and running when I am able to assess GZ
14th of the day, OCW ESCR so I could complete my 25d/t in a day and it ended up being 30 d/t in a day. Wow the dog opposite this one is big and scary and we thought at any moment if it wanted it could jump the small fence that was there. We tried to be as quiet as we could be but with no privacy from the neighbours we couldnt be any more stealthy than we were. We knew we were being watched but couldnt do anything about it. We quickly signed and were out of there TFTC
Was in the area for another cache until I saw the dnf Logs on it. Decided I would try this one instead. I think your neighbour was interested in my activities but a smile was met with a smile and she proceeded to collect washing as I signed the log. Tftc
Accidentally found it going for a walk behind my house. I had noticed it over the fence a couple of months ago but couldn't reach it. May make my walks a little more interesting now.
The cache is back up and running after the bad weather last week and minor maintenance being performed
I have disabled due to the extreme weather conditions and the area is currently starting to flood. I will enable once the weather has cleared and the area is safe
TFTC... 20/3/17. Tough Mothers gotants - If the spider doesn't get you, the ants will.
We found this in the pouring rain, luckily we were a little covered by the trees here. Quick eastern find. Tftc
This is one of only a few caches that I have showing on my map in the area so I thought I would have another attempt to retrieve it. After my last attempt was thwarted by the nearby hound I was a bit wary. I approached quietly and there was no action from the other side of the fence so I had a quick look around and spotted the hide.
I took the cache for a walk up the hill while I signed the log and then returned the cache to the hiding spot and then the familiar noise started from the other side of the fence so I made a hasty departure.
Glad that I don't have to return here again. TFTC ScubaSteve87

A had quick look about and as I moved about and got the general idea of where the cache may be I quickly laid eyes on it. Signed a replacement log and replaced log back to its camo hiding where I had got it from. I thought it was a bit loose and not too sure of its safety. TFTC
