DNF for this one, I had a good look all around GZ, also looked at previous logs for any hints. Looks like it's still missing. MMH&M.
Attempted to find this at 1:15:00 PM on 21Oct2020
Attempted to find this at 1:15:00 PM on 21Oct2020
Road works are ongoing in this area and we cannot reinstall the cache until they are completed. It's unclear how long council will take over this, as it has been going for at least 2 months already
Works at GZ have disturbed this one. Might wait until the works are done before replacing to reduce interference.
But will need to go back with height. Hopefully cache has not been disturbed due to work area. It appears GZ may have been "moved".
We looked and looked and couldn't see anything. Moved a little and looked some more. We read the hint and looked some more concentrating on where we thought that meant. We were puzzled why a cache placed where we were looking at that stage would earn so many favourite points. Repositioned ourselves for another look and laughed out loud. Yes, another favourite point awarded. Thank you MMH&M for delighting us with this cache today. We happily signed the log.
Cheers and happy caching!

All I can say is that I’m glad Art3mis is so smoll, cute and liftable, and that I’ve still got some oomph in me yet! TFTC

Located very quickly but terrain seemed to be a challenge; that was until Hitchy suddenly grabbed my legs and lifted me all the way up there! TFTC

Found late on Saturday night, very clever hide right in front of my face. TFTC.
We sadly have to admit the festive season is over and real life has returns. So bye bye Rudolph for now and back to Bambi.
Down from QLD visiting Bill and Di and out about Port picking up some caches. Thanks for the hospitality and sites around Port. Will be back hopefully for a longer stay next time. Great novelty for this one. TFTC
As it’s getting close to Xmas this was a Rudolph moment for us. So without saying too much we soon had the log in hand and added our initials. TFTC
Cycling around the area whilst visiting my father in law in Port Macquarie. I doubt that there are deer running across the road in great numbers but am happy to be corrected. The container was spotted on my second scan of GZ. TFTC
Found using a nearby TOTT which was growing not far away.
Just one minor issue. How the hell do I get it back up there ? I had to wait for ages for traffic to ease and when I got me chance I shimmied up the pole like a monkey and placed the little bugger in his position.
Coords are excellent and the cache is in excellent condition.
Thanks for placing this cache MMH&M.

We are heading to Morisset for the Geo Muster at Easter with the caravan in tow.
After a lovely meal and good sleep our host took us on a cook's tour of Port Macquarie. After terrible weather yesterday today was beautiful.
A very amusing little cache and our host made the retrieval very easy. Wish all nanos were like this - a favourite point for you.

Found with girlfriend 1:56 pm. We have been visiting Port Macquarie staying at Flynn’s beach a nice area. Today we were going to head home but as usual look for a cache or two along the way. This cache was on the radar since I wanted to still find some around the Port area. We headed over to GZ and as I was about to look the girlfriend spotted it from a little way away. On the nose we were as far as the location. It helped to have some stature and leaping abilities. Signed the log and returned it to Rudolph’s rightful place.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found while out and about. Didn't have a working pen on me so took photo of log and container if CO requires for proof.
Found in the company of ozglory. They had already logged a find so we pulled off the road and they said "Off you go, but you'll need this" OK!!!! It only took a few minutes before cache was spotted - OMG, thank goodness for the appropriate TOTT Log signed and cache returned in the correct position. Ingenious, just love it. Fav point awarded.
We have travelled up from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Port Macquarie for our annual summer holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Breakwall (Sundowner) Holiday Park. Today we spent the morning visiting the Op shops and Antique shops around Port, and collecting some caches along the way. This was our 4th find of the day, and 65th find of the holiday.
After visiting some Op shops and Antique shops in the area we drove up John Fraser Place (parking at the end of the road) for this one. Quickly spotted the cache, but getting to it and signing the log was going to be a challenge. Ended up using a TOTT to retrieve, sign the log, and then replace the cache container as found. Thanks MMH&M for the slightly unusual cache hide.

This has got to be one of the nicest towns to go geocaching in. Plenty of creative hides and we did not find any caches that had not been maintained. This was one we targetted and were able to find. This one was a favourite of ours to do and considering the time of year - just perfect. Fav point alloc. Thanks to MMH&M for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Awesome! Now that's imaginative. Fav Point from us. (Found with 'Hollielea22'). TFTC
Rudolph is back to enjoy the silly season. We've even removed Bambi's crosshairs- not sure who added those, but surely no one wants to take a pot shot at Rudolph! Happy Christmas cachers.
While visiting friends in Port Macquarie This has got to be a winner for the day. Gets a favourite. Thanks for the cache
Straightforward find. Putting cache back was fairly simple with an appropriate TOTT. Cache and log in good shape. TFTC.
We have driven past Rudolph on a number of occasions but a variety of things prevented us from getting him. First two times there was way too much traffic, the next time we stopped we realised we couldn't liberate Rudolph until we had the appropriate TOT. Finally the stars in the heavens aligned and we arrived here with everything we needed.
We love this cache. Firstly for the audacity of the hide. Well, actually it's not really a hide, it's in plain sight. And secondly for the lovely festive touch in December.
TFTC and a favourite from us

What a glorious sunny day for some Caching and to revisit Port Macquarie. Clever cache name and a quick find was had. TNLN SL TFTC
Hi there MMH&M.
We found your cache **"Rudolph Reborn (or Bambi Brought Back)"** at 3:51:19 PM today. (This makes our total find count 17470).
Today we cached around the 'burbs' of Port Macquarie. We had a most enjoyable morning & found 4 caches in a variety of container types and sizes (& DNF'd 1). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

TFTC Had to improvise to obtain cache. Was even harder to return as it was wet and it wouldn't stay put. Also being a busy road made it even more challenging. The challenge has made it a favourite
We selected a reasonably quiet time to attempt this cache which is on a very busy road. As we were not 6 foot 6, we brought along suitable equipment to enhance our height. Enjoyed doing this cache. TFTC. Brought through personal Travel Geocoin.
Well! This is 'not quite' where I was looking intently for the original cache back on New Years Day 2016 (when it had been Disabled, but I hadn't kept up to date on that!) It certainly was NOT in this position.
So after the Pathfinders meeting 'at the school' I stopped off to have a look. "OH!"
Went back to the car for some assistance, and soon had the cache.
(With late logging - 3/5/17, I'm not sure if there was an o-ring when I found it at 2040, GAFF1) Good coordinates.
Thanks MMH&M

Thanks
Great clue great cache love it but we are both very short people so to put back was very interesting my geo partner improvised a geo tool thanks for the cache the ewoks
In the company of pprass , stopped here after doing some maintenance on some of my caches around Laurietion, last year when this cache was up for grabs I was with my other geo friends who actually don't cache anymore, we had a funny time retrieving the cache by me hopping on Bonnies shoulders, thankfully this time I just stood on the bullbar of pprass car TFTC
Well Rudolph/Bambi is finally getting with the time of year, shed his colours and gone incognito again. For now.
Here we are back again now that Rudolph's back in good health. Thanks for the giggles as we tried to get cache in between traffic flow to avoid being spotted. Found by Mrs Browngang and Browngang's geogirl. TFTC Cheers
Oh - I'm so sorry - but in my exuberance in spotting the container and then trying to get it (this is really not a T of 1.5) I dropped the little nano on the grass and then spent 20 minutes scouring the area, but I could not find any sign of it.
It just disappeared! Gobbled up by the grass! Apologies once again.
It just disappeared! Gobbled up by the grass! Apologies once again.
OK, poor old Rudolph/Bambi can't decide what season it is, and has had to morph back to the festive side of things after a slight mishap with the less ostentatious version. A bit like the family who can't bring themselves to take down the Christmas lights.
So back up and ready to be found again.
Couldn't help but note a great big scratch on the structure this cache is part of in a location suggesting someone flailing at it. As noted in the description, this is not easy to get/reach. If you can't confidently remove and replace it, please come back when you can. And maybe forget the stick mentioned in the description.
That's why it's Difficulty 3. Don't forget, Terrain refers to the difficulty getting to GZ, not the difficulty actually retrieving the cache once you're there! Happy caching!

Just out and about with Happy Feet grabbing a few caches this morning and we arrived at the gz and it was my caching buddy that spotted this one, with neither of us up to the challenge of retrieving it we headed back to the car and grabbed the appropriate tool to make it an easy grab. We waited for a few passing cars to make the grab and after signing the log returned it the same way. Thanks MMH&M for the simple but sneaky hide, loved it! Fave added!
In Port Macquarie for a few days, taking the opportunity to grab a few caches this morning with Happy pants. Pleased to have the required tool to be able to retrieve this one nice hide.
Thanks MMH&M for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found at 10:37 AM GAFF1.
Back in PMQ after being away for 2.5 months and this is the only new cache in town! Well at least there is one and it is a surprisingly simple but effective one that deserves a favourite for the festive twist. Must come by at night to see what it looks like
I thought that for a T of 1.5 I would be able to grab it from the ground, but - umm - no it was not to be. Had to employ the assistance of the LR and who knows what passing motorists must have been thinking.
Thanks MMH&M.
Feedback: In our opinion the Terrain rating should be at least a 2.0 if not a 2.5.

I missed out on the first one and have driven past this so many times, thinking I'll have to grab this.
Finally made the stop and grabbed this little brighter. My Survey tripod came in very handy

Tftc. On a previous trip to Port Macquarie we had discovered this cache but didn't have the required TOTT with us. This time, whilst showing a muggle family how to play the game, we were prepared. A great idea, the geokids loved it. Tnlnsl.
TFTC love the creativity but the grabbing of the cache became the issue due to fast moving muggles on their metal boxes watching
We were here last year and were able to grab the last one before the sign went walk about. So glad that we were able to grab this one as well. Was also the first time I get use a new tool that I was given .
TFTC!!!

Xmas Day, hope you all have a good one.
We have been waiting for this day to come to find this cache, we have driven past a few times & could see it. Pulled up close by & was still surprised how many cars went by.
This year we knew how to retrieve it & replace the cache successfully.
Some carrots had been left at the base for Rudolph. ( only kidding )
A favourite point for on a special day.
Thanks MMH&M

Nice to see you back Rudolph, and thanks to Bambi for bringing you. Compliments of the Season to you both and to the MMH&Ms. TFTC
What a great stretch for this cache on our way home from work. Merry Christmas all. Tftc ftf
