In the area for work today so decided to find a few caches that have been on the list for a while!! Very quiet here today which made for a straight forward find. Cache is in good condition and ready for its next visitor. I signed as DH to save room in the log
Made a quick find once in at GZ! Ive found a few of these caches and I dont know why but I like them!! TFTC!!
This had me searching around a group of very old trees. I circumnavigated one or two before approaching a place Id been in before from a different angle and saw what I was looking for. It blended in well with its location and was easier to access than where Id searched earlier. Five of the series now found!
A clever container at gz and tucked out of view well enough that the nearby houses can't see you wandering around in circles. Thanks for the cache.
HoHoHo, thats not mistletoe. I've got a few of these in my Christmas decos but nothing as fancy as this one. Well done.
Found while on family holidays. Quick find with PC as we past by.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Second of two in the series while heading home. No problems here and the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and I was on my way.
Thanks for another one...must come back for the rest.

Don't you hate it when you have done a cache but forgotten log it!! Yep have already done this one, but I loved it so much!
Is that a built in log extraction tool. Nice one.
On a road trip from Perth to Canberra with a few side trips for LGAs. TFTC

Cool little hiding spot.
The log was tricky to get out so I have taken a photo of proof that I was here and sent to the owner ️

Got a day out caching today and have explored around Bannockburn with the kids. A clever design that I has seen before so an easy find for me. TFTC
After an enjoyable morning attending an event and CITO in Geelong today and catching up with many older and newer friends, we headed off to fill in some gaps for some challenges we are working towards. It was a lovely drive, with the weather moving quickly from squalls to sunshine. When we arrived at this cache, we were fortunate that it was sunshine. On the way from the geomobile to GZ, we left a few red berries on the nasty boxthorn. Have you been geocaching if you don't bleed a little bit? We found the nicely themed cache and signed the log. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, McPhail family.
Accurate coordinates made this cache a quick find . All's good at gz , Thanks McPhail family
Stopped here just as the sun was going down, to pick up a couple more before home time. A cute little hide here, thanks!
After finishing up in the Bannockburn Bushland Reserve there were just 2 caches left for us to get as daylight faded.
A quick drive-by - this cache is indeed nature's Christmas ornament.
Thanks, McPhail family.
Just one more to go now.

I first cached in Bannockburn in 2013, and last cached here in 2016 when getting a FTF on the "Twelve Days of Caching" series. Almost five years later now and I returned with Jacko and the boys to finish the series. It was an enjoyable afternoon driving and walking around the area. One cache was unavailable so I'll have to return for it. We ended the day with - coincidentally - 12 caches found and no DNFs.

Find 3708 on 6 February 2021
Whoops no log in cache. But we had some spare paper and popped a fresh one in. Other than that all is well with the hide.

We love your work, it's so much fun finding the unusual caches, but unfortunately there is no log to sign.
In the area with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, I haven't been around here in many years.
Found after a short search, cheers for the cache and the opportunity for some caching fun.

Another day out caching with My caching partner Omegaman1971, today we were joined by The Empire and Snap Happy to tackle a few caches, the Cluedo series being our main area for the day, lots of fun and laughter was had long the way.
This was one of the caches we did on our travels.
Thanks McPhail family for the cache.

We have seen these used as cache containers before but it still does not take away from the charm. SL TFTC
Decided to grab some caches today.
This series was started a long time ago - so it must be time to turn the rest into smilies. Loved the idea and some of the containers were awesome. Keep up the great work.

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in logging.
Despite my tardiness, you can be assured I enjoyed each and every cache found and not found.
Apologies if this is a generic log, my memory is good, but not that good.
On this day I was out with Sorceysal and Tessie the geodog
Thanks again McPhail fam

Out and about with Bogonghazy and geodog Tess for a days caching around the Bannockburn and Inverleigh area.
Certainly not finding these in order as we manoeuvred our way around Bannockburn. Thanks for the cache McPhail family

Upon arrival, we felt that impending sense of doom, so we were pleasantly surprised to quickly locate a rather awesome cache! TFTC
A quick easy find as we used to have one hidden like it. Found at 1715 on the way to Bushfires 80th
On a maintenance run today - everything all good here and ready to be found
Geokid and I headed out for the day to find one cache for our 500th point for the planetary pursuit souvenir. 2 dnf’s, ripped pants, a trip home to change and head back later - here we are! Great cache, geokid was excited as she was the one that found it! Tftc
Really nice cache. The description made me look a bit lazy but got there in the end!!
Another well constructed cache which didn’t disappoint. An easy find but my presence was certainly noticed by the local canines who set up lots of loud barking while I was in the area TFTC McPhaillFamily
Another in the series completed, this being our main aim for today. As we were signing the log, a nearby dog started barking, but we were soon enough out of there after coming to grips with the rain proof paper. There was a man delivering water from a tanker a bit further up the road, so it would have seemed likely that was capturing Fido's attention.
Thanks to McPhail family for placing this cache.

I'm enjoying finding these twelve day caches and here we scored another smilie face. Thanks McPhail Family.
What a truly great cache container - we have seen this type before but this is the best yet - so well planned and implemented. Pity about the dogs opposite as they do tend to make you move faster than you may want to!! Great hiding spot!
TFTC McPhail family - you sure know how to do some great cache containers!

Hot weather today ... Whitepaws9 and I drive to around to geelong find few caches ..
Thanks
Thanks
Great hiding spot. TFTC ..... damn dog across the road would not stop barking, just another reason for me to stick to cats!!!!!
Nice one to find. The dog across the road continuously barked at us even after we drove off in the car. TFTC
Obviously was not accessible with my wheelchair so i send my friend in telling her what to look for from the clue. (Just a tad bit old fashioned so i knew what to look for) she came with it in hand after not too long. The log was hard to sign being those plastic type so i sort of managed to scribble a WH on there with her log sign underneath being even less readable lol... i think it took longer for her to put back because she had to find the lid lol...
Found it today whilst out with McLookers. Very clever hide. Thanks again to the McPhail family for the series.
A nice quick find at Gz, but I had a bit of trouble getting the log out. Luckily there was a tool joined to the cache that helped me. I'm surprised that the cache has lasted so long, with the dog over the road barking the whole time we were there. Cigc. Tftc
A quick find here with Sean.75 and Kenbryl. Lucky the dog over the road told us where it was, it made the search so much quicker! Tftc
We weren't planning on finding this one but we took a different way somehow and kenare spotted this on the map. OMG!! Is that the most barkiest dog in the world? Tftc
A quick find here for us while the dog barked loudly at us
Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache.

A geo road trip to Geelong with wozzle68 saw us stop and pick up a few caches around Bannockburn. Nicely done here! Many thanks for the cache
Someone was a little keen arriving at this location an immediately headed towards something that looked to be out of place. After a slice of humble pie, the GPS was followed and an appropriate container found. TFTC
With pleasant weather, we decided to head to Bannockburn for a day of caching. Many thanks to the owners for placing and maintaining the caches.
Headed into town for a couple of hours of caching with Ketchthor. Didn't know much about the place until we arrived - it was good to pick up some local knowledge as well as the caches. There were quite a few roadworks going on - and some kind of Police road check in town, both of which prevented us accessing some of the cache locations. Never mind though, we still found a few. Thanks to everyone as usual. Your efforts really are appreciated.
Team Autumn out for some school holiday entertainment. While Autumncs contemplated investigating part of the electric fence more closely, luckily I found the real cache. No geocachers were harmed in the finding of this cache. TFTC.
Christmas is still not over for Team Indiana08, 08151605 and us. While we were searching for our present here, the friendly dogs across the road made quite a fuss over our visit. Hope their owners were not home.

The last in this series but still one more to go for us today. It was a little tricky to work out how to approach GZ but the cache was quickly found once we got in there.
Thanks McPhail family

I at first made the wrong entry but when I made the right one it was clear that it was, and the cache was a quick find.
The GeoKids no longer have ballet on Saturdays and so after six years we have our weekends back! Hooray! GeoHubby and I were keen to do some caching and I've been wanting to complete the Twelve Days of Caching series so we planned a small trip to Bannockburn. The GeoKids are tired and grumpy after the first two weeks back at school in this hot and humid weather, and were not exactly pleasant company - I'd say they increased the Difficulty on each cache by at least half a star. Fortunately GeoHubby and I are not prey to emotional blackmail (giving or receiving) and have a sense of humour and we managed to complete this excellent series and even enjoy it!
We've come across lots of thorns and ants while caching today - some caches have both, but fortunately not this one - just thorns! I had a fair idea what I was looking for and was relieved to find that I was right. A tool from the car was required in order to extract the log.
Log signed and all replaced as found.
TFTC!

The barking dog over the road was off putting. Soon spotted natures ornament and had more trouble returning the log book than getting it out. Finally...

Change in the weather today. Rain arrived and visiting friends and relatives in Bannockburn.

We liked this one. I have seen similar once before, but this one was well constructed and fitted in with the theme very nicely - but don't you know the tree and decorations need to be packed away by 1st Jan!
On the way here we visited the lagoon. It was a beautiful spot also (photo attached).
Thanks for bringing us to Bannockburn McPhail Fam. We may have driven through before but we have never stopped to take a real look.

Spotted this one as the odd guy out! It is just like one of our caches placed along "the loop" series.
All is well with hide.
Last one for poppet_93 and I today as the heat has beaten us.

Lacinta found this one, I walked straight past it! Standing right next to it and didn't notice. Me 5, Lacinta 4. TFTC.
8th find for the day.
8th find for the day.
I have now almost done a complete loop of the town and I am still finding loads of caches including a couple more in this series that enticed me down here in the first place.
Creative hides everyone of them
