With an essential component of the cache stopping the lid from being rammed on having been removed twice, and now neither visiting the area as often as at the beginning nor the local friendly muggles as able to provide assistance I choose to archive what was a favourite of mine. GrahamT
Somehow every effort to make the lid easily removable once the structure of the cache is understood comes to nothing and it frustrates as the last 2 logs show. It will be removed for examination in the hope a means can be found to stop the lid being jammed on. If not sadly I will archive this cache. GrahamT
If youre travelling past please pass by as your likely to DNF here as the lid still needs a special tool to open.(a stick of gel ignite)We havent got time to destroy this container to access this log, hopefully better picking in town.
Thanks for the hide!!Yesa tad open, but a great reason to stop and check it out.Cheers Graham, Ethan and Nash
TFTC! 1 January 2024 7:38:04pm 7032Happy new Year! A new lga so stopped for a cache. Spotted quickly but very hard to open. Eventually got it in the end!
Cache and dash on a beautiful day. Thanks for the Traditional Cache GrahamT, TrudyJane
Checked this out 18/9 and hopefully have sorted the issue noted by the last finder - a difficulty arising from an unnecessary change to the cache structure in the past which was designed to prevent such difficulty. ) Will edit the description to advise future searchers! GrahamT
Found the cache today Had trouble opening the container to sign the log

Out & about on a day trip with my mum & scramping collecting caches for the Summer Solstice souvenir (it is way to cold to be summer), however the sun was shining today even though the wind was icy.
Well, that was a challenge. The cache was spotted quickly. However, prizing the lid off was difficult. It eventually came off with a bit of a nudge.

#3 . Favourite 1 so far! Sneaky and well made. Agree on the dampness so wrapped in a spare doggybag we had in the glove box to hopefully protect the pad.
I like the thought that has been put into creating this cache. It took me a moment to find as I was looking in the wrong spot

We are now only travelling with 1the_Tritonz planning on meeting up with the rest of the group at Millicent we were just roaming around looking for adventure labs and anything else that may come along. This was our second in Apsley. The town seems to have had quite a bit of history, it's really a sign of the times when country pubs have such limited hours when once it would have been the main meeting place for lots of the locals.
The GPSr led us directly to gz where the cache was found after a short search and our name has been added to the log.
Many thanks for the nice hide and a bit of the history of the town.

Heading up to Ngarkat for some caching & 4 wheeling fun, the rain subsided long enough to find and sign this cache on the way past.
Always good to find something out of the ordinary, the cache was quickly found but the previous finder was over zealous on reassembly, requiring considerable effort to open the container. Things are a little damp inside not bad considering the recent rain, log was dry.
Thanks GrahamT & TrudyJane for placing & maintaining this game piece

Adelaide to Melbourne Roadtrip.
Day Two: Naracoorte to Ballarat.
Weather: all over the place, standard Victoria.
The couple across the road were sitting on their porch, but fortunately I had parked the car in just the right spot and they couldn’t see what I was up to.
Cache is very difficult to open.
Thanks GrahamT.

Our 'welcome back to Victoria' cache after a couple of awesome weeks in SA. A beautiful eucalyptus ficifolia here!
We were staying in Harrow and did a drive to Edenhope and then Aspley. This cache was on the way to Aspley, so we had to stop to find it. Loving caching in the West Wimmera area.
Find # 10667
Found while heading home from a SA trip with sharkiefan.
We had based ourselves in Millicent for a few days making the most of a long weekend.
We got a lot of adventure labs finished and also gained some skills with the new fishing pole. Getting about 25 caches out of trees to sign.
It was a great trip back to SA after a 2 year break (due to covid restrictions)
We gotta get back over here to explore more areas and get some more smilies.
Things were a bit sticky here and put me off but after checking logs i realised i just had to work a little harder to get to the log.

Now this was fun. We looked here and there and to be honest I missed this the first time even tough I had a fiddle. I fell for the same mistake as trogg but there you go. Well done GrahamT, TrudyJane -
Thanks to GrahamT, TrudyJane and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Drove from Adelaide to Dunkeld today and this was one of a few caches found during a break from driving.
Quickly spotted but wasn't sure how to access so used a TOTT and then realized that it possibly wasn't required. Saw condensation inside the zip bag and the toothpick from the flag poking through the bag and on closer examination saw the bag was badly split so replaced with a fresh one, with no toothpick inside!
Thanks to GrahamT for putting out this cache for me to find.

Day #11 of the Birthday Bush Bonanza. Sadly it was time to leave the crew and Wyperfeld National Park and head off exploring on my own. A couple of caches on the way back to Hopetoun followed by a loop of the Wimmera area.
So close to the SA border and yet still not allowed to cross. I spotted the likely hide on arrival at GZ and was signing the log soon after. The rest of the finds tonight will now have to be by torchlight as that is the last of the sunlight.
Thanks GrahamT for the cache and for contributing to the game.

In Apsley after waiting 92 days to visit so popped over the road from the friendly muggles place to check out the cache. All seemed in good order.

A good hide which will challenge the newbies.
Had to get permission to drive fermi SA to Victoria but thankfully was not challenged, nor needed to.

For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.

Heymissjo and I just crossed back into Victoria after a 9 day adventure three of our Minis into South Australia.
Heading back to Melbourne overnight, via The Grampians and Creswick. This was a timely rest break smiley.
Heymissjo homed in on GZ here after I took GeoNinja up the garden path, lol. The hide was easy to by pass in the dark of night - kudos to the CO!
Despite being next to the highway, it was a very peaceful visit under the light of half a moon, lazily falling toward the Western horizon and a blazing field of stars above.
Thanks for the fun hunt and timely stop.

The Welder and I are sadly on our way home from a fabulous family holiday and road trip. We have spent ten fabulous days travelling to the south eastern beaches of South Australia. We decided to stay an extra night longer than planned but now are doing the long haul back to Melbourne. It’s been a fabulous trip with three of our minis and we achieved a lot of caches and challenges along the way.
After the first leg of the trip home, we decided to stretch our legs and of course it was time for a cache. The Welder and master nine aka geoninja went out in the dark with their torches to see if they could try their luck while the girls stayed in the warmth of the car. The thing was. The geo-boys got a little excited and were miles from gz, so I had to call them back and point out the cache. An easy find, even under the stars. Thanks for the cache

Thanks for the cache. Easy find on the way back from Natimuk Lab cache. Nice work on the camo. Need muscles. Almost left mine at home! TNSL.
Well, it’s the only thing here.
It must be it.
Thankfully it was.
Nice construction.

Took a while before I was game enough to try a little extra force to finally reveal this one. But the GPS was pretty insistent where the cache was and I was rewarded. TFTC.
Found on our back home from camping at Lake Charlegark. Really hot day so we headed home earlier than planned... thought we'd grab a couple of quick caches... such a cool cache, very clever.... we'll be back to get the few we didn't have time for or the grass was a little high to risk not seeing long wiggly things especially for thongs and shorts TFTC . Fave point for uniqueness

Leaving Horsham early we made our way to Hamilton, via an arc which took us close to the SA border (which we are not allowed to cross at the moment) Together with Suscoe, we found a variety of caches in some interesting locations.
Anyone would be "dreamin'" not to give this one a FP Well Done!
Sighted trackable: TB83B8E 'Community Volunteers Tag'
Our thanks to 'GrahamT' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Suscoe headed out today for a trip to Hamilton via a wide arc heading out to near the SA border with our good friends, Phetlern.
It was a hot and windy day, with a top of 36 degrees on the car dashboard.
We saw some stunning countryside in places that we have never been to before.
Mt Arapiles was a stand out spot with amazing rocks, stunning views and remarkable countryside.
We were amazed at the green grasslands out here and the trees that were a feature of the whole drive.
Thanks to GrahamT, TrudyJane for this hide, a favourite from us for the work done here.

We decided to have a day out and find a few caches that are off the beaten track of the roads we usually travel on. At GZ we felt that there was only one item that screamed 'here I am' at us and sure enough this was it. SL 1 X TB SL TFTC
On our way through to SA but found time to stop to do some caching. We wish we had more time to spend in the area but with the border block to take place from tomorrow we need to keep moving. Fav point alloc. We will return to cache around here at another time. Our thanks to GrahamT for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
As we wander the great land seeing the sights, this is one of the caches we have done.
Thanks to GrahamT for placing the cache for us to find.

Off on a road trip to the Silo Art tour Vic, Mildura, Goolwa SA, Port Victoria SA and then home via Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, and the Grampians, picking up some caches along the way as we see the sights. After staying in Naracoorte and looking around the area, we were now heading home and stopped by here to pick up the cache. Plenty of room to pull over and stop if you are towing. It was Mr Pooky who jumped out of the geo4WD and made the quick find as we had seen similar. A well camouflaged cache. TFTC. TNLN
This an extremely late log. It was right near the end of a three month trip around WA, NT and SA. We deliberately zig zigged from Naracoorte to Mt Gambier and then Portland so I could tick off another LGA
Wow, nice hidden cache, but after good look we found him
Thanks for the cache

We spotted the hide on approach so we were able to pull up beside , using the car as cover. The double bagging of the logbook is working a treat keeping contents dry.

On our way to Edenhope today with my father and decided to grab a few quick caches on the way. This one was found after a visit out to the cemetery to chase up some family history with my 82 year old father. What could be better than walking around the in the blazing sun on a 40 degree day checking out old head stones, any ways he let me grab a cache here and there in return so l was glad this one was a nice quick park and grab. Pity the town looks like the best is well and truly behind it but still managed to walk around and read up on some of the interesting information boards scattered up the main street. Very interesting claim to fame of Apsley to have a horse race that predates the Melbourne Cup too! Thanks GrahamT for the cache.
Good hide, wasn't quite sure if it was the cache at first. Picked up Travel Bug. TFTC
Visited the cache on 19/10 to check log and workings. Took away the log cover to dry it out and also to dry the log book. Replaced with a zip log inside a zip lock bag, hopefully for extra protection. GrahamT
A planned stop here both for a border crossing and a country atlas map. The cache almost defeated me but I finally applied the right amount of strength and torque and there was the welcome sight of the log.
I'm at a family event at Balmoral (Rocklands Lodge, actually) with SueHut and DesHut. I thought I'd do a 5:30 am stealth run to SA to nab my SA badge. Not the most auspicious trip - 5 hours to get 4 caches... and only one in SA. Nonetheless, thanks heaps, Graham & Trudy!
Day 2 of my latest road trip in Australia. This time 5 days around VIC with a 1 night/day stay in SA to regions I have not yet discovered. Today had me Starting in Ballarat and finishing in Naracoorte. A lot of great little towns and it was awesome seeing the Grampians up so close.
27 caches today incl 1 Wherigo.
#25 - Picked it from the car but nice camo and nice construction. Log book is wet though.
Thanks GrahamT, TrudyJane

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
