15-Aug-23
The time has come to archive this cache - it needs more attention than it once did. Hopefully another CO can place a new cache to continue to bring people to this nice spot.

31-Jul-23
Found the lid for it, it’s pretty tho

31-Jul-23
Found previous finders rock covering lonely cache lid. Needs attention, thanks for the nice view!

31-Jul-23
Recommending attention only the lid was here

31-Jul-23
This one seems to be missing again - will need to re-think the hide due to more traffic in the area than when the cache was originally placed.

10-Jul-23
We walked up to the trig point and admired the view. We headed for GZ and had a decent search, expanded the search area, read previous logs, but found nothing. We noticed lots of scraps of log-like paper floating around, so abandoned the search and headed back to the car. About 12 meters from GZ I found a sistema lid which I suspect was the lid of the cache. I left the lid under some rocks at the base of the nearest tree. I really think this one has gone

05-Jul-23
DNF suspect it was destroyed after seeing lined paper wet and on the ground

10-Jun-23
Easy find

30-May-23
Checked this one and it is there to find, and GZ is accessible.
Happy hunting.

23-Mar-23
There’s nothing here except a brick

23-Mar-23
Lots of kangaroos so be careful when approaching take it slow and they run away, but also close up experience whole herd was 5 metres away from me

17-Nov-22
We tried to find a way into this cache but failed but not being locals maybe there is a way in but maybe the owner could check.

17-Nov-22
This one appears to be fenced off again.

10-Oct-22
Had seen that this cache was back in action, so whilst in Craigieburn today I walked up the hill overlooking all the new development in the area. Cache found easily today and spot in coordinates. Great view now to not slip as I stroll back down the hill. TFTC

04-Sep-22
Arrived to check whether the area was fenced off today, and it was. Will have to return when the works are complete, and hopefully the cache condition not impacted.

As in out note, works are about to begin to fix up this park. We went to speak to the fencing guys as we were unsure. They said we could go ahead for today (as we assured them we would be quick!) And said once the fencing went up access to the park wasn't allowed until they were done, but they couldn't give a date. Thanks to these two nice blokes we rushed to make our find! Nice quick find for us today!

Fencing going up today. We spoke to the men who allowed us entrance until the fence went up, but once that happens cache won't be accessible for a while

Ready to go again, thanks posums

30-May-22
This one is back in place and ready to find now, thanks to posums. Meanwhile, the houses continue their march upward.

23-Feb-22
Need to go see if this cache is still there. Will enable once I check.

14-Oct-21
With the weather looking good I set of to try again on another Crazyburn cache. Whilst there was a spectacular view, the cache was unable to be located after more than 30mins of searching. After looking In and under every rock and tree twice I ran out of spots to look.

21-Mar-20
Great views. Pity about the housing creep Up the hill

21-Mar-20
Found with Anne Therese TFTC. One hell of a lot of rubbish around.

17-Feb-20

#28 one of my favourites! Used to live in the area and had always wanted to walk up this hill. Amazing!

20-Jul-19
I braved the craigieburn winds for a hike up the hill. Glad I did, great views. TFTC

02-Jul-19
After searching for a while Grub62 started to read previous logs. After widening our search we eventually found this cache. Now to enjoy the views. It was a bit hazy but the views were still great. But with an extremely lazy wind we won't be here for long. TFTC.

Out with Bunadoorian on this cool morning. Trying to find caches locally that Bunadoorian hasn't already found is getting harder. So we ventured over here to combine my daily walk and to keep our daily streak going. Once we visited the Trig point it was on to the cache searching. After a while and widening our search area something caught my eye. Yes those magical words - I've found it. TFTC and for bring us here to experience the great views chof_hoe. Ps why would any one take a shopping trolley up this hill?

05-Jun-19
I was lodging nearby and made use early morning to go geocaching while the muggles were not ready to go out yet.

I had spotted photo of a beacon of a Trigonometrical station for this cache. As a Land Surveyor, a visit to this cache is a must.

I parked my car at the end of the street and walked up the hill to the beacon, startling a few kangaroos laying on the grassy slope. Coming from Malaysia, this is a bonus to me, looking at Australian wild life close up. By the time I got up to the top of the hill, the troop of roos have hopped away, stopping to peer at me along the way.

After taking avfew photo of the beacon and the ground mark, the search for the cache begins. As usual, the GPS is a bit jumpy. I widen my search area and found the small well hidden Sistema container.

TFTC CO.

Found @13:00 after a short, sharp walk uphill. When I saw GZ I nearly groaned hoping I wasn’t going to be out in the wind and sun for too long but the find was very quickly in hand. The view over the reservoir to the city was quite spectacular - I hope the developers choose to make a feature out of this spot and stop the houses getting too close. TFTC! Left a smiley token.

Found thanks!

Out and about last night with Trailstevo and decided to hit Craigieburn. We had a pretty good outing finding most in the area in about 3 hours. A bunch of short brisk walks, a great variety of hides (and a few fav's to hand out) and some pleasant views from the higher vantage points. Double figures of cache and lots of smiley faces. Thanks to Cransie, Chof_hoe, Lauri-wills & Blakepolly16 for the fun night out.

Out with Gunks and decided to head to Craigieburn and clear a bit of the map. Fairly successful night and some good hides. Was not expecting this location. Great views TFTC

The cache is definitely gone. Will aim to have a new one there in the next few days.

16-Jan-19
No luck. Looked high and low. But had to dash to the Hume tennis centre. Good views though.

21-Jun-18
so sad. Looked and looked the GZ spot was a good hid but alas I think the cache may be gone ..... great views.

11-Mar-18
I think the short answer is, yes. We all agreed that there is a view, there is money in views, and yes they will soon have houses all around the hill. A bit like Mt Ridley. They might leave the actual top area, but a ring of houses will appear 360 degrees around it.

Great spot, and given we grew up, never been up this hill, so it was great to finally visit it and see the great view it has. Thanks. Dropped TB also - good luck surfer boy! Fav for us!

I wasn’t looking forward to this one after all the climbing I did yesterday, but once at the top the views are great. SL Left a couple of trinkets for the kids. TFTC

What a lovely day for a short walk up a hill...

Funnily, I didn't even have to look at the map to navigate here this afternoon, as, being a Geocaching Australia cacher as well, I've been up to the Trig point and admired the view, and, more recently, had to pound the pavement of this little estate prior to the last census.

The houses keep up their relentless encroachment...

Thanks, chof_hoe, for an excuse to visit again. The cache was a nice quick find and is in good nick.

Uphill. Always uphill. I have been here to collect the TrigPoint for Geocaching Australia, so I knew the slog and just put my shoulder to the wheel and made the climb. A great view from this location (hence the TP at the top).
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this location today.

On the way home from work and out for a few caches to keep my monthly minimum cache finds from dropping any lower than 26, should just get there.
Enjoyed the stroll up the hill Smile

Suscoe decided to have a day trip to this area to check out the caches to the north of Melbourne.
We got away early and had an enjoyable wander in an area we haven't been to before.
What a mixture of building types and ages.
Thanks to chof_hoe for this one, an enjoyable walk to GZ and boy what a stunning view 360 degrees and a clear afternoon with excellent visibility, no haze!!!!!!!
A favourite from us.
They are an unstoppable force!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful winter's day to spent looking for caches in the suburb.
Glad to be back in geocaching mode, after being off my feet for almost 3 months after a bicycle accident.
Wonderful views from the top of the hill.
Spotted a few Grey kangaroos and a big red fox as I climbed up the hill to gz.

23-Apr-17
was not even certain that I could move uphill, but I managed to after a stop for a few very deep breaths, my body is much older than my mind, wife said I was a silly old fool for going up there but the view alone is worth the walk, and also disturbed a mob of Kangaroos, stamped my sign replaced cache and had a nice amble down to my car, Thanks for making me do this walk, chof-hoe, a favourite point coming

A detour after work to grab this cache, and the nearby trig point. I never realised the views from here would be so spectacular, the blue water of the reservoir is my fav, I took a heap of photos, thanks for the cache up here, dropped a small TB. This cache also is my first December 2016 cache so it gets a special visit from my Jasmer Coin Smile

02-Jan-17
I remember walking up to this trig point in the early days when it was just open paddocks and Craigieburn was a small place on the map
Still a great view of the reservoir and the ever growing Craigieburn and Mt Ridley
Thanks for bringing me back up here
No 4 in the log
Thanks chof_hoe

In the area today, so thought that I'd see what is around. A new cache with only Riddell and UGCT in the log. No shame being 3rd behind them, so I scrambled up for a look. TFTC and spectacular views.

Took a while to load up the sleigh and head out to the hill, We grabbed a silver medal and enjoyed the amazing 360 degree views, watched the sunset and then said merry xmas to a couple of kangaroos passing by, and off to the Mickleham Rd xmas lights. One more sleep. TFTC.

Found on Christmas Eve.
We noted this one, just published today when we were in Wallan, after completing the Mt disappointment, driving with dad series.
From there it looked like it was "just down the road". A possible FTF, it needed little encouragement.
It felt like ages driving through Craigieburn, which is now bigger than ever. However, we eventually got to the suggested parking spot, climbed the hill to discover that this cache site delivered all the views that it promised.
The temperature still being 32 degrees with about an hour of sunlight left...an awesome spot......AND a FTF
Thanks for bringing us here to this location, even with its own trig point.
A favourite point for the views alone.
