Day 6 of the CQ reflection Tour for ruzzelz. This has now morphed as a week long holiday in Yeppoon, with T4mmmy, Just-a-Trifle, Fangsoki, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and Prime - we are the YEP23 mob.
Time for an old resting cache.

Day 4 of our Easter Holiday trip to Yeppoon. Another early morning start for our group as we had quite a bit to cover today.
This archived cache hit our radar, courtesy of Crew153, so we headed around to try our luck. Well, as luck would have it we drove straight up to the cache and made an instant find.
Log signed as Yep23 for the group of us today (Fangsoki, Pprime, Crew153, T4mmmy, Ruzzelz, Just A Trifle and me).
Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly.

1MinnieMoo, Pprime, Ruzzelz, Mrs Just A Trifle, Mrs Crew 153, Crew 153, T4mmmy and myself headed to this cache next.
First, props to GCDiver for finding the archived cache originally. Congrats!
We pulled up and found the elusive beast pretty quickly. A good little excuse for a stop. Such a shame it was "Geocratered" back in the day. TFTC Nedandmrskelly

A week long holiday in Yeppoon, with T4mmmy, Just-a-Trifle, Fangsoki, Crew 153, 1MinnieMoo and Ruzzelz - we are the YEP23 mob. Driving in the area and Cerw 153 pointed this one and it's mate out for a 'maybe'? Well, who are we to pass up a choice cache like this? Especially seeing GCDiver's win a couple years ago. Sadly no joy with it's mate, but no issues with this one at all - drive, spot, find, sign, return ... you beauty!
Thanks Nedandmrskelly for entertaining me at this location.

A quick find for the YEP23 team as we were looking for old and archived caches in the area.

We are currently travelling along Queensland’s coast to see and snorkel with humpback whales in Hervey Bay. Of course some target caches were also on the list of must do’s along the way. It was a great pleasure getting this cache even though it is archived, as I needed it for my hidden month calendar stats.
It is still in place and very easy to access. The log is deteriorating a little already, but all good.

I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
GeoCrater

The kids and I headed out this morning to nab a few caches. We fly back to cold Ballarat on Sunday so are attempting to get cache #5000 in sunny QLD. Found without issue. Many thanks for the cache.
I was interested in the DT rating of this cache, so I thought I would stop by while I was in town. I soon found the cache, but the log was wet, so I put a new log in the cache. TFTC Nedandmrskelly
a pleasant day out with Temingi,
changing cache dots on the map to smileys.
whilst out and about,
made a quick detour in to make a quick find
no worries here
thanks

I took a drive out to the Hospital today,
and kept going,
to find meself in Hidden Valley !!
No wonder it is hidden,
it is a no through road [:o]
A very quiet cul de sac though
And a bit of a poke around found me a 'cache'
Er !! There is something wrong here !! [:o]
All I found was a logbook, with a tiny bit of plastic to shelter it from the elements.
Attached to its hiding spot by a magnet ??
Should there be a container surrounding the logbook ??
It is rather obvious,
and I suspect a muggle has taken off with the 'camo'
If not then this is the worst cache hide I've ever seen [:o]
Might need a bit of maintenance !! [:o]

Found at 8:10 AM GAFF1.
Well this was certainly an "easy come" cache as it was in plain sight!
Thanks Nedandmrskelly.
Feedback: The difficulty of this cache is too high considering that the "Get Well" cache is a D of 3.0 and much more difficult to locate. Also the T of 1.0 is not correct - a T of 1.0 indicates that the cache is at around waist height or below on flat ground, or that it is wheelchair accessible - this isn't quite that.

A geocaching roadtrip is an amazing thing. It takes lots of preparing, planning and pre puzzling to ensure time on the road is maximised. I have to say I exhibited none of these attributes as we readied ourselved for this roadtrip. I was fortunately joined by the energizer bunny (seffnjarah) and the Square Jawed Mountain Man (Crookedpete) who both like to prove how capable they are as the alpha males of the Bromance. While there is often much chest beating and tantrums, we manage to remain positive and end up with a good plan of attack.
We set off on Friday lunch time (so CP had time to make himself pretty) and returned late Sunday nigh, traveling some 2000klms, approx 70 caches of varying D/T Ratings, in just on 54 hours. Sadly there were a few DNF's (which some of the team took harder than others), but we saw many different cache styes, and some amazing places. Thanks to all the CO's who placed these caches for us to find.
I left this one to the experts, and kept working on the next destination. They didnt take too long to make the find. Thanks for the cache.

It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things on a roadtrip a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches a few wee hill climbs, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.
Most unusual find , as there was no container - just a decaying ziplock bag, a logbook and a magnet. The bag disintegrated on touch, but we signed and replaced as best we could. This cache will need a container to protect it from the elements. Thanks Nedandmrskelly

It's been 2 years since the Bromance undertook a geocaching road trip, the last being down to Gloucester NSW back in March 2015. With the blessings of our respective spouses received (mine seemed rather keen to get rid of me for the weekend) we headed off from Brisbane Friday lunchtime for a whirlwind trip to Yeppoon and back with a lengthy target list of caches. After finally finishing our first day of caching and setting up camp at 1.30am this morning, a 5.30am wake up call had us packed up and on the road again and had reached the Yeppoon area by mid evening. With the head torches ablaze we were able to hunt down and locate the "cache". Unfortunately the lack of container has meant the bag containing the log has become UV damaged and came apart while tring to open the ziplock. Will need some maintenance to replace with a new baggie. In Yeppoon for seven days and head home in two. days. My plan was to achieve 50 finds whilst up here without any really difficult ones, due to a crook knee at the moment, avoiding the puzzles and any needing water craft. I have achieved my goal of 50, actually have surpassed that number and now just finding ones close to where we are staying.
Parked close and walked back to area of GZ. Quick find in most likely spot. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and micro logs to save room on the paper. Find #58 for this trip.

TFTC 2nd time here. had no luck the first time but looled a bit harder today. good hide.
I must say this would have been an impressive cache, If it was where it was meant to be!
The difficulty got us going and we thought long and hard about where/what it might be.
Getting to the area was a little harder than normal with a few of the usual road cut off now but we followed our noses.
Ratdog was out of the car and had it in hand quite quickly really as she glimpsed it as she was going to stroll over to the other side no need it seems.
She had a few moments when the log book came off in her hand. Sorry we have nothing in the car to fix that well we have nothing in the car really atm.
Our last [*FTF*] before we move North again.
TFTC Ned. sorry we broke it.

I was chillen in my room, because I'm the only one in the house with aircon. when Mum came and wanted to go get a FTF or possible one.
OK, I reluctantly left my cool cave and headed out into the very not aircon car.
I found the cache in the long grass but I did not where it should be. It will need a little owner intervention. We have none of our usual supplies int he car atm due to the impending move north.
Log signed I replace as best I could.
TFTC Ned. I think RFC gave a fav for this. its really cool.
