EN : This morning, a boat is taking us to Anchorage to do the Abel Tasman Coast Track. Arriving on the beach, everyone chooses the path they want. We go to the one where boxes are present . Almost all logbooks need to be changed... Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand, decided very quickly , but that didn't stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 was, of course, at the top of that list! and there you have it, we visited it during our stay in Wellington. Yesss!! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.FR : Ce matin, un bateau nous emmne Anchorage de faon faire le Abel Tasman Coast Track.Arrivs sur la plage, chacun choisit le sentier qu'il veut. A beautiful day at the Abel Tasman even though the wind is a little chilly. Great place for a picnic with the added bonus of a quick cache . Thanks
Found with Dali87 within our famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
#2 for today, after another quick detour to check out one of the beaches headed from Mrahau towards Anchorage. Arrived just as the tide was coming in, so it was a quick visit with a few photos before heading back up to the main track, via the cache. Easy find and all in good condition, thanks!
On our hike in Abel Tasman NP from Anchorage to Marahau we found this Cache on this lovely spot. TFTC And I feel good!

I am with Muggle on a three and half week trip to NZ. Nothing serious, just the well trodden track every NZ tourist does who is coming from the other side of the world and has not the chance to come here more often. North Island is done, Auckland Coromandel, Rotorua and Wellington touched. Now we arrived in Picton and transfered to Motueka. Idea was to do a day trip into Abel Tasman NP. Any place nearer the entrance to the NP was already occupied or to expensive for our budget so we stayed at this little village. Next we were off the well visited track. We were quite early on site fearing that the parking lot would overflow. But at 8:30 situation was still relaxed. What a beautiful hike! I enjoyed this tremendous views at the landscape very much. I like strict cache owners. No valid log without nickname on the paper. And a well maintained cache. What else makes a perfect day?Thx for hiding.
Found it with Laira007 on our todays 20KM fantastic view walk on the Tasman Abel Coast Track. TFTC
After quite a lot a bit of looking found it in an obvious spot we overlooked. TFTC
We are walking back to Marahau from Anchorage bay so this was en route. After finding the cache we dropped done into the bay for a swim. TFTC
I didn't notice that the cache popped out when I removed the rock, but Marchwood said, "It's right there!" Log was full, so we added a new slip of paper. TFTC.
Found this during our hike in the national park.
Danke für den Cache!

Day 4: Anchorage to Marahau
Perfect timing - jup, Bill, and Tom had taken a longer detour to Yellow Point lookout, and then I made the shorter detour to this cache. They caught up just as I got back to the trail. Tim waited for me at the nearest junction, and the other 3 had gone ahead.
Feeling some heel pain on the 4th day of our backpacking trip, but it is manageable.

Today we hiked the southern part of the Abel Tasman Track. The bathing bays are great. The climate is tropical. The plants feel at home here, especially the fern.
No pen todaySorry for the lateness of the log...Found Whilst on a long Summer Road Trip.Staying with friends nearby.TFTC
We didn't have time this trip for the whole Abel Tasman walk, so we AquaTaxied into Bark Bay and walked back to Marahau from there, picking up the occasional cache as we went.
This was the first of the day and a quick find. The logbook is completely full, I didn't have a replacement unfortunately so the next cacher might bring one along.
Thanks for the hide!

Forgot too log this. Came up here on a boat and sat on the beach for a few hours before low tide. TFTC
We got a water taxi to Anchorage and walked back to Marahau. A fabulous day. We detoured down here for a well earned break. I've never seen so many Weka. TFTC
We went down to the nice beach and had a quick find. Unfortunately, the logbook was completely full and needs to be replaced.TFTC #2208, 2022-12-27
Nice easy find and beautiful beach. Glad I left my pack at the top of the hill for this.

Took me a wee while but found it eventually . No muggles due to track damage.
Found on the way back to the car, after some great (initially wet) days in the Abel Tasman.
Enjoyed our multi day hike, few caches on the first day but looks promising to finish off.

For this time of the year we good very lucky with the weather walking the track. We spend 3 nights in hut and 2 nights we had the whole place for ourselves. Found some geoaches on the way. TFTC
Day 3 of our 3 day walk exploring the area.
Making excellent time on the track so took the short 50ish m detour to this lovely spot. Again this is probably one of those ‘if not for a cache’ we may have wandered by.
Took a moment to locate the container but there really is only one obvious spot for it!
Thanks for the cache.

Walking the Abel Tasman Track over 3 days. Started at Totaranui and aiming to finish at Marahau 3 days later.
Of course had to pick up some caches on the way.
Short diversion and was an easy find when at the correct rock!!

Quick find on our last days tramp from The Anchorage to Marahau. I remember this lovely little bay from kayaking the AT many years ago. TFTC bumandworker.
Wow, time flies... found this in 2021 Quick find as we start our Abel Tasman adventure...It really is a great walk!! TNLNSL TFTC ??
Walking from Totaranui to Marahau over Queens Birthday weekend... Failed miserably to get my offline list sorted on my phone (amateur much) - so most of the trip was non caching... to be fair it was pouring down for those 3 days so I wasn't prepared to hunt in the rain anyway.
Today it is beautiful... after a wet 3 days it is so nice to dry out.
Grabbed this one while the other 2 wandered down to the beach. Stunning place to be today!!

Fifth cache found while doing the Abel Tasman walk for 5 days. I stopped here for a lunch break so it was perfect for the cache. My GPS was a little jumpy but cache was in an obvious place, TFTC!
Most of us still feel well! M14 was complaining about hiking for 2 days but he will survive.
Second day of our trip in Abel Tasman. We started with a watertaxi that dropped us at Anchorage. Unfortunately walking out of this beautiful park today.
Cache was found quickly.
Thanks for hiding.

How do you feel? surprisingly I felt ok but Andy said I was walking too fast for him. Anyway we are out for a walk today to collect up a few caches in the area and to get some fitness in for the Milford Track in a couple of weeks. Still a lot of people on the track and the beach was busy. We had a bite to eat and a short rest then headed back to the main track collecting the cache on the way while the area was clear. tftc
It's school camp time and I am following, or leading the kids along half of the coastal track. I started here at Marahau on a Monday lunchtime, walked to Anchorage for the first night, Onetahuti for the second night, back to Anchorage for the third and the out to Marahua on Thursday morning and down to Motueka for a shower on the last night. All up, 78 km of walking on the track, popping down to most of the bays and sidetracks along the way, 11 hours moving and 8 hours 45 minutes stopped for eating, resting and cache searching. At this one, I feel [the bay name]. Ask me in a couple of days and I would say, a bit sore.
Quick find. We stopped here for a bite to eat and a bit of a rest. Didn’t venture too far out onto the beach though. Cache all good. TFTC B&W.
Today RG1972 and I decided to walk from the track from the Marahau start to Anchorage, and then walk back. So a fair bit of walking, and it was a bit tough going simply because I hadn’t been doing much walking lately. But we enjoyed the views and the walk and I got a few caches on the way. Next time we will get a water taxi home .

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find????SL tm/ww NZ (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)Long drive / walk around today, we enjoyed the caches.*We soon had another good cache located!*
This one took a fair bit of hunting for. After an initial scout I realised I was looking for something of a decent size - whoops always check the essential info first.
After checking again I got a bit more hands on in my search and it came up quickly.

Chatted to a friendly trapper on the main track just before this cache and when I popped down this side track, there were a few new traps sitting near the beach ready to be put in the park by the looks of things. Quick find and then returned to the track. TFTC.
Such a beautiful beach and the stream is quite lovely!!! Thanks for hiding in such a beautiful location!
On our hike along the coastal walkway this was our sixth catch for today! Thanks for the Cache!:) very tricky hiding spot
We went by water taxi to anchourage which was spectecular. From there we hiked back to our RV. Great trip.

That day I took the aquataxi to Bark Bay and walked back to Marahau. Long 25k, especially at the end, so I was very happy to find some caches there. TFTC

On a sunny and cloudy day with some sprinkles I hiked a part of the Abel Tasman Track. The water taxi took me to Anchorage and I hike the beautiful track back to Marahau. It was a wonderful day and the rain started to get heavy when I reached the car - perfect timing. Thanks for all the caches that I could find on this perfect day!

On the way back to Marahau we walked down to the beach to go swimming and after the first search at the wrong rock I found the box quickly but I had to climb from the path.

Today we drove with a water taxi from Marahau to Torrent Bay. The way back we walked and looked for some caches. Finaly we found only 4 because a lot of muggles was on the way. A very nice day for us and so we thank the owners for lay the caches. Greetings from Germany
Apologies for the late logging and cut 'n' paste but now Mr & Mrs Castoff are back in the UK at the same time we're catching up on the Geocaching adventures. We took hundreds of photographs but were too busy looking at stunning scenery across NSW and New Zealand to make copious notes. SL. TFTC.
Quick found on the way down. After wrote my nickname in the log, we made a short break! Nice view! Thx for the cache.

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, now WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Glad we could make a qef after struggling with the previous cache. No mugglers here and one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve seen. Thanks for the cache.
What a beautiful cove! We were walking back up to the main track and decided to check for caches and we were only 200 ft away. Tftc! Our first on the South Island.
Greetings from California! Found with muggle friend, Bev, on our hike from Anchorage to Marahau. Beautiful views along this trail and on the beach! This has to be a favorite! TFTH!
Nice quick find using the ‘where would I hide a cache!?’ Technique! Gorgeous spot. TFTC
